Loved it

Single White Vampire is the third book in the Argeneau series and I just loved getting to reenter this amazing world. Oh my gosh this story was just epic. I just couldn’t put this story down and I was just captivated by everything that was taking place. The author truly outdid herself with this story. This story just had my emotions all over the place and I am so sad to see this book end. I just can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

3½/5 stars

Single White Vampire by Lynsay Sands Book #3: Argeneau Series Source: Purchase (Print and Audible) My Rating: 3½/5 stars Lucern Argeneau has become somewhat disillusioned with life. After more than four centuries of living, all the things he once loved and enjoyed have become old hat, not worth the time or effort. In fact, the only thing that currently brings Lucern Argeneau any pleasure is the research he does for the books he writes. Though he didn’t intend his latest books to be so, they have been labeled paranormal fiction and now there is someone by the name of Kate C. Leever from his publishing house who just won’t stop contacting him. As an editor at Roundhouse Publishing, Kate C. Leever is serious about her work and willing to go to great lengths to keep her authors happy. Which is precisely how she has found herself on Lucern Anrgeneau’s front porch. When Kate inherited Lucern from his previous editor, she was warned of his surliness, his apparent inability to answer phone calls/letters/emails, and total unwillingness to engage with, well, anyone! Unfortunately, for Lucern anyway, Kate C. Leever isn’t so easily put off and she is bound and determined to see him become even more successful! With that in mind, Kate has made her way to Canada and isn’t going to leave until she has a commitment from Lucern regarding at least one promotional event. Lucern has every intention of getting Kate C. Leever in and out of his home in short order. He has no interest in what she’s offering, no interest in further promoting his already successful books, and no interest in her as a mere mortal. Thanks to a series of unfortunate events and his nosy mother, Lucern can’t get Kate C. Leever out of his home, and before he knows it has agreed to a romance book convention. And he thought having her in his home was a bad idea . . . . The romance book conference is just one bit of crazy after another, and it doesn’t take Lucern long to realize Kate C. Leever is dropping a ton of her other responsibilities to insure his happiness. With that knowledge, Lucern does his best to participate in the conference events and make Kate’s job just a bit easier. What Lucern (and Kate) both find is that Lucern is actually quite good at the whole engaging with people thing, and people tend to like him! He’s funny, intelligent, charming, and a damn fine writer. What Kate also finds out is that Lucern is a vampire, and that comes with its own set of rules and complications. All of which immediately accepts and deals with. In the face of that knowledge, Lucern begins to consider Kate C. Leever as something more than a mere mortal. The Bottom Line: I really want to assign more than 3.5 stars to this read, but when I look at it objectively, really objectively, I just can’t get past my dislike of Kate C. Leever. Kate is a lot of everything to take and she becomes somewhat overwhelming in a not so good way. On the flip side of my dislike for Kate is my adoration of Lucern. I love that crusty, old vampire so much! His surliness and reclusiveness are as much a part of his personality as it is a product of his advanced age. In this way, Kate C. Leever, in all her overwhelmingly perky glory is perfect for Lucern! As always, I liked the twists and turns the plot took to get to the HEA and the inclusion of the extended Argeneau family. Overall, I’m still loving my re-read/listen of this series and can’t wait to keep moving forward!

Utterly brilliant, side splitting, sexy romp!

Lynsay absolutely rocks with her new series about a dysfunctional vampire family! I won't go into the plot line too heavy because you need to experience all the surprises and delights yourself. A mother, two sons and a daughter (and more relatives to come hopefully) face the every day struggles of vampire existence in the 21st Century. In this tale, originally called Lucern, we meet Lucern Argeneau, the first son. He is a four hundred year old vampire, getting by in the dreary world by writing contemporary romances about...well, vampires...only no one catches on he is merely writing about his family. To his surprise, they are a big success, so much so his editor, Kate C. Leever of Roundhouse Publishing is determined to drag the reclusive writer to the Romantic Times Convention. Lucern is a grumpy - albeit sexy - curmudgeon, and he is determined NOT to go to a book convention. However, Kate is a whirlwind, an editor - who has little life outside her work - so she is firmly determined to drag him kicking and screaming into the limelight. She gets aid from his family, who think Kate is not only a super editor, but also the perfect mate for Lucern. And while Lucern loves her as an editor - at a distance - he hates to admit he feels an attraction for the pushy lady. Only, romance for the vampire - as well as attending a book convention - has a lot of modern day drawbacks. Kate fits in well with his family, though she finds them a bit odd. Lynsay is known for her side-aching humour, but she is at top form as Lucern is forced into the world of sunshine and supermarkets. Being your totally civilised vamp, Lucian does not go around biting necks - let's face it, in today's situation of aids, drugs and diseases only a foolish vampire runs around taking blood without knowing the donor's lifestyle! Being a smart vampire family, they have invested in a series of blood banks, and have a steady supply delivered to them. Only Kate's presence causes Lucern to miss din-din more than once, making him so famished he considers attacking a steak in the local market. By the time Kate installs Lucern in the convention hotel, she is becoming concerned there is something very wrong with Lucern's health. From the mad escapade at the Ball for the Romance Times (with an appearance of Lady of RT herself!!) to Kate coming to terms with her popular vampire writer might just be writing biographies instead of fiction, it is typical Lynsay wit and brilliance. Lucern is sexy, deliciously grumpy and is the new wave of vampires for the 21st Century. I have always enjoyed every book Lynsay was written, but I must say she takes the gold ring with this wonderful funny book! I fell in love with Lucern, so cannot wait for the rest of the Argeneau family

Kate and Lucian

I loved this boom it had love humor and dry wit Lucian was amazing I can't wait for the next book in the series

One of my favorite books and a wonderful look into the Argeneau Series!

Single White Vampire - Argeneau Series Book 3 Single White Vampire is the story of a writer and his editor, thrown together into the craziness of a romance convention. But this is not your standard writer... no, he is a 600+ year old Immortal... a Vampire. But Lucern is not your stereotypical vampire... he was born a vampire, can go into a church, has a reflection, loves garlic, and doesn't need to sleep in a coffin. He can even go out into the son, though it means that the nanos in his blood that keep him young need to work harder, causing him to drink more blood to replenish the nanos keeping him alive. While this book is actually the third book in the Argeneau Series by Lynsay Sands, it was published first originally and I feel it's the best introduction to the Argeneau family and their quirks. Lucern is the oldest of his siblings and has grown bored with life. Enter his young female editor, persistently pestering him to go on a book tour or at least do an interview or two. Tricked into agreeing to go a romance convention, Lucern finds himself the center of attention as a new writer of a popular vampire romance series, masquerading as fiction. We are able to watch Lucern start out as a bitter reclusive man, frustrated with the world around him, and slowly open up into a man with hope and a hidden sense of humor. If you are looking for a dark Dracula-esque story, this is not for you. If you are willing to open your mind and laugh and fall in love with characters who are vampires by scientific methods rather than fate or horror - to see the world through the eyes of people who are just like us with the side benefit of living hundreds of years - then I urge you to pick up this story. I do recommend going back to Book 1 (A Quick Bite) after this and reading the rest of the stories in order, but you can't beat Lucern's story for a fun and unique introduction to a wonderful cast of characters.

another great one by sands

Lucern is the author of the famous Love Bites #1 and #2 and the readers are anxious to know more about the author known as Luke Amirault which is Lucern's pen name. Kate C. Leever, Lucern's editor, has the privilege of convincing Lucern to do something for the readers. Kate sends letter after letter of opportunities for Lucern to get some publicity. After responding "No" to every letter, Kate finally decides a face to face conversation would be much easier to convince Lucern to help her out. Kate shows up on his front step and as soon as he realizes he can't read her mind, he becomes worried his Mom will try to play matchmaker and set them up. Sure enough Kate is formally invited to Etienne's wedding as Lucern's date which gets him thinking about Kate as slightly less annoying then before. He is scared to get close to anyone so he agrees to do a book conference just so Kate will go home and leave him alone. He's old fashioned and stubborn, not many women can handle Lucern, not until Kate anyways. As soon as he steps off the plane and sees Kate, he remembers her smell and how lonely he felt after she quickly ran off the last time they saw eachother. This is another exciting vampire romance novel by Lynsay Sands. She will have you hooked to Lucern and Kate as well as the other Argenau novels. Kate is super open-minded and doesn't seem at all bothered that her uncooperative author is a vampire in need of blood. She goes above and beyond her job title to make sure Luc is satisfied, happy, and fed. It's great to see Lynsay morph her characters into loving and caring vampires once their eyes are opened up to love. Lucern is transformed into a happy loving soul who finds himself smiling and it's all because of Kate. He already had the qualities of a great man but never let himself be at ease with anyone before, now his true self is shining with Kate around. I cannot wait for book #4!

The one with bad sex analogies

I thought the premise was cute and I didn't exactly hate the MCs. They just paled in comparison to other similar book couples. The sex scenes were painful. I would be reading along, getting into it and then wham! an innapropriate or truly puzzling analogy is made to sex that leaves me either horrified or scratching my head. Either way the mood the author was going for is ruined and I no longer think anything is sexy about their lovemaking. I removed a whole star for the baby related sex analogy alone. Creepy! I removed another half star for all the other bad analogies and a half star was taken because of the anti climatic way the MCs finally got together. It was just meh especially after a separation.

Tall, Dark & Broody!

Lucern is a writer of paranormal romance based upon his family's matings & his editor, Kate come to see him to try & get him to agree to either do a book tour or an interview. She decided to come & visit him because even though he wrote very good books he was bad a writing letters back to her. Kate, once she meets Lucern in the flesh finds him a broody insensitive jerk at 1st but as she stays in his house she learns so much more about him. But, she still hasn't figured out that he & his family are vampires. Lucern's mother Marguerite tricks him into saying that he will do the "RT thing" (unbeknownst to him that it's a conference) to Kate & she before she leaves for NY tells him what he has agreed to. At the conference is where all the fun things occur; meaning the sex scenes, the fight scene (against the random bad guy) & the finding out that Lucern & his family are really vampires. This book was so good that I didn't want to put it down & read it in one day & I will be reading the other books in this series too. Side Note: I have read this book before but not for a long time & never wrote a review; but that's what I'm doing now is re-reading this series as it's been on my mind so that I can now leave a review.

The power of the pen

This book probably wasn’t intended to be a comedy, but I found myself laughing as much as I was commiserating with Kate at how trying Lucern could be. The author melded this book perfectly with the rest of the series and I love that Lucern is an author in his own right. I enjoyed his surliness and the way Kate helped him to become a better man. I enjoyed every aspect of this book, from the characters to the storyline, and I can’t wait to see which Argeneau finds their lifemate next.

The Renaissance ball is my favorite part!

Title: Single White Vampire Author: Lynsay Sands Genre: Contemporary Paranormal Romance Rating: 5 stars Summery: After his mother and editor trick him into agreeing to do a book conference, Lucern feels honor bound to attend as promised. But he his definitely one unhappy 612 year old vampire! Kate, Lucern's editor, is overjoyed when he actually shows up, half afraid he wouldn't show at all! I first read this one some years ago. Just read it again and it was as fun, sexy, and hilarious as I remembered! I think the codpiece incident at the Renaissance ball is my favorite part! I'm currently rereading the series and catching up on the ones I haven't read yet. Argeneau and Rogue Hunter series 1) A Quick Bite 2) Love Bites 3) Single White Vampire 4) Tall, Dark & Hungry 5) A Bite to Remember 6) Bite Me If I Can 7) The Accidental Vampire 8) Vampires Are Forever 9) Vampire, Interrupted 10) The Rogue Hunter 11) The Immortal Hunter 12) The Renegade Hunter 12.5) Bitten By Cupid [anthology] 13) Born to Bite 14) Hungry For You 15) The Reluctant Vampire 15.5) The Bite Before Christmas [anthology] 16) Under a Vampire Moon; 17) Lady Is A Vamp 18) Immortal Ever After 19) One Lucky Vampire 20) Vampire Most Wanted

Bella Lugosi he isn't

Lucern wrote wildly successful vampire love stories but was elusive. Kate, his editor was determined to get him to do book signings and tour so she showed up at his door only to have him slam it in her face. Who knew the handsome vampire author really was a vampire? Another witty, funny book from MS Sands!

love them

The stories are very good it’s kind of cool that the writer in the story is writing his own story, it’s a good fun and sexy story

Hilarious and sweet

Lucern Argeneau just wants to be left alone. After 600 years he's bored with life and living and is just muddling through. He's a successful author, but even that doesn't bring him any real joy -- just helps pass the time. Then enters his editor, Kate, who thrusts herself into his life when he refuses to help market his books. Kate is recently promoted and wants to maintain her position, but to do that, she needs to get her most popular author to sign up for some publicity engagements. Just one book signing would make her happy. But Lucern is known as a recluse and when he refuses to answer written requests with more than one word (No) or give her his phone number, she has no choice but to show up on his doorstep. From that point on begins a series of hilarious events as Lucern tries to fight his attraction to his new editor and keep secret the fact that he is a vampire and the vampire romances he's been penning are more fact than fiction. This is the first book published in the Argeneau Vampire series, but chronologically, comes third. Of the 8 books out so far, this is my favorite. Lucern's brooding, serious nature was irresistible to me and I loved watching his personality come alive with Kate's influence. I highly recommend this book, as well as the rest of the series.

Endearing.

Kate and Luc's story was very good. I read in about two days. I enjoy the plot, the twist and turn. Lucern is a surly man, Kate an in Luc's works "aggressive modern woman" which he comes to enjoy and like their relationship goes from dislike to love fairly quickly. The attraction is there although neither one wants to admit it. The book was great fun I think you'll enjoy I've always enjoyed lynsay sands books.

A male Romance writer? 😲

Yes that’s right!!! A male romance writer was introduced in the second book 📖 in the Argeneau series. Lucern is the writer and Kate his publisher. Trying to get Lucern to any type of public event was like pulling teeth 🦷. Kate stuck to him like a Terrier holding on to his cuff (small insert from the story) to try to get him to go. It took a lot of talking to have him finally agree to go. Lucern actually had fun and of course fun was to be had along the way but you Must read the story to find out all about it. Recommend this book 📖 for everyone interested in vampire 🧛♀️ romance and laughter.

Mirror in a mirror

The life mate requirements were foggy, not as exact as in the other books. His romance writings of his families lives n actually being real gave the feeling of looking into a mirror with a mirror. Was still enjoyable n fun.

Loved,Laughed, and wanted More

I really Loved and enjoyed reading just about every book in the Argeneau Vampire series. Even as I read some out of order I feel like each family members story was so Unique that it did not matter the Order in which they were read. Each book has made me Laugh, cry and even get as frustrated as each of the characters. The Hope and suspense just kept me wanting more. It was very difficult to put down each book I had many sleepless nights as I read til 4am.

Loved it. Read it twice

I love all of her books. I actually borrowed this book years ago from my sister. When I am waiting for in between new additions, I just go back find one of her the older books and read again. The characters in this book though were especially great. Marguerite Argeneau is my favorite female character and she is in almost all of her Immortal books. Now I've just finished "The Wrong Highlander" from that series and am loving it until the next books comes along. I'm going to search through my library and either read about a Vampire or Highlander ; )

Great book

Love entire series! Each book is better than the last and the first was 5 star. I am in the process of re-reading with kindle/audio and they re just as awesome.

Romance writer

Complex, but skimmed the details that get better in following books in the series. Love how Lucern went from historical tomes to romance novels.

Funny and sweet

You had me giggling with this book. Blood was coving almost all the scenes in this book. The thought of cleaning it up made me cringe.

This book was a stroke of genius, Lyndsey, and I loved every page!!!

I chose my rating because the writing was just that great!!! The story literally took me into it and I felt like I was there in the midst of the action and the love that's portrayed by the characters!!! There's nothing that I would want to change about the story, it was written by a very unique and talented writer that knows how to pull her audience in and allow them to experience the story with the characters in whatever manner is going on!!! 5 stars from me to you Lyndsey!!!! What can I say? It's a cracking good love story with just enough steamy. The story didn't lag, and I'm eager to devour the next book in this series. I have 17yrs to catch up on. I have some time.

Loved

My favorite one of the entire series!! I love the codpiece scene. So funny!! Lucern is so grumpy it's adorable.

Loved it

It was so lovely reading how they fall little by little for each other. The funny parts were great and I loved the ending. So far all of the Argeneau books have been a wonderful journey.

Loved it, I am so happy to be able ...

Loved it, I am so happy to be able to go back to the beginning of this series! Luc, love him even with his old ways. Even with his gruff attitude, but that is because he is bored with life- as soon as he meets up with Kate he comes out of his shell Luc believes strongly in the old ways, and is not a fan of "modern women" lol. Until Kate. There is so much humor in this story, and very little danger (especially compared to later books)

It's only a little nibble!!

The Argeneau Family have been a favorite of mine for some time. It has always intrigued me on how hard the men are working so hard to stay single I've mostly read about the males of the family so I'm not sure in what way the women of the family want or need mates that's my next couple books will be. But I must say that this one has been a joy to read it only took a few hours, the plot kept me quite riveted. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys vampires with a different twist. And for you who love steamy romance this the book for you. Enjoy and be good to you

Now Wouldn't This Make an Interesting Singles Ad!

This man can't seem to decide between bear and bare! His intrepid editor braves a facade that hides a sensitivity behind a seemingly rude and taciturn demeanour. Eventually Kate convinces him to answer some of his fan mail, and from there she persuades him to go to a convention. Despite Luc`s trepidation, he begins to enjoy himself, and gets into the spirit of the thing, and the fans love him. Also he and Kate, his editor, fall more and more deeply in love. Realizing the problems that being together present, Kate cuts and runs... Of course both of them are miserable. Eventually however, it all works out and love prevails. Oh, I do love a happy ending!

Predictability Bites...

This book for the record, was not as good as A Quick Bite, but better than Love Bites. I struggled with the notion of giving this book a three star but rejected it, based on the fact that I have given many better books than this a three star. Still this isn't quite as bad as the other books I have given a two star...so 2 1/2 stars, really. Here, we once again re-visit the Argeneau vampire series. This time, grumpy Lucern gets his turn to to find a human chick who can't read his mind to fall in love with and then turn into a vampire. Predictabiltiy bites. Kate is everything a man would want in an eternity mate. She is fiesty, indespendant, and sexy... She is good natured even when dealing with tempermental Lucern. Kate is an editor for the romance novels Luc writes. But really they aren't novels, the are historical novels because they tell what has really happened in his family. Kate is a little dense at times and it takes her WAY too long to figure out that Luc is a vamp. This book is more comedic than Love Bites and there are very funny, well played scenes here. However, in between those funny, well played scenes are a lot of boring filler pages. We never truly grasp what is so special about Kate that in four hundred plus years, she stands out as THE ONE. And we never truly understand why Kate falls for grumpy nosed Lucern. Still, I like this family. I like the comic portions of these books. The sex scenes are pretty boring, and there are tons of repetitive things that happen in each of the first three books. Still, one could pass the time in many worse ways than to read this book. I know that this is a lighthearted series but it could benefit from some more depth to the characters, and some variances in plot elements. Other than that, Ms Sands can write some stellar moments into a book and there are little snippets of this story I probably won't forget easily.

The brooding vampire meets his match.

Lucern has become the reclusive grumpy soul nice he does not have a life mate. And this causes him to be a very interesting character when he is forced to face his editor who will not take no for an answer and invades his domain never dreaming what she is really getting herself into. As sparks fly she is forced to help Lucern deal with the life she forced him out into. And she brought it on herself since she had no idea what trouble she brought down on them by forcing a vampire out into the world. Nicely written.

A Vampire at the RT Conference

Lynsay Sands Argeneau novels are always a fun, romantic romp, but when you take a centuries old, reclusive vampire who's recently taken to writing history as romance, pair him up with a pushy, practical lady editor and send them to an annual romance writers conference with a predictably zany supporting cast of writers and fans, the air can't help but be full or romance...and comedy. A touching, funny look at the romance publishing industry and a must read for Sands fans.

It is really funny and cute!

Some authors try too hard to make the storyline funny, but this was really humorous. I didn't think I would like it because I read the fourth book (Bastien) first, and I'm not too big on comedy, but this was great. The comedy was natural and not forced, and there were many plots versus the fourth book. Whereas Tall, Dark, and Hungry was just a storyline with no real impact adding to the character's development, this book was absolutely great. It was not too "mushy," but had the right amount of romance. Personally, I loved it. I am 25 years-old and have never read leisure books, besides the Twilight and college books, but I am fortunate to have found this series at Walgreen's!

I liked it so much that since

This was only the second Argeneau romance I had read. However, I liked it so much that since, I have read every single one of them. It is fantastic to read on all the different characters and how they each found their one true love. It's a very good story, without being either overly cheesy, sappy or stereotypical. A great plus is that the women featured are not shrinking violets, but strong and independent women who don't "need" a man, but are pleasantly surprised to find one that complements them so well.

Behind the curtain backstage-ish

The book was such a good read it took a while to get started but once it started it was a very good read. It did however have very long scenes but very descriptive at the same time I would recommend this book for those who love books and the writers and editors behind the projects.

Laugh Out Loud!

This was something else!!! I read the first 2 books and was hooked on a story because it was a 'light' read and very well written; plus, it is a big family and, once acquainted with each of them, I was hooked on knowing what their story will be. I like the this story the best, but the catch is humor in this book. I was laughing out loud while reading it. This is so far the best in a series. I cannot wait to read the next one, since now I'm hooked.

Superb as always

This is probably my third reading of this story. I became a fan years ago and have read much more than the Argeneau series. The various works by her all bear something for everyone.

Another Argeneau Man to wish for!

I started reading the series and I accidently reversed the 2nd and 1st book up but going into the third was a smooth transition. I've read the first 7 of these books and they all flow from one book to the next. They are sensual as well as humorous. I could almost feel the pain as Lucian reluctly agrees to things but that's what makes the story so capitivating. I'm sure once I've completed the entire series I'll be ready for more from the Argeneau family. Lydsay could keep these stories going on forever for this mixed up vampire extented family.

silly me

I was looking for Linsay Sands novels made into movies. Turns out to be an audiobook of a paperback I have already read. But it works just fine so it gets a good rating.

Nice storyline!

Nice storyline!

a new twist on vampires

I actually enjoyed this book a lot. It was an interesting twist on vampires making them a different race and all. The dialogue between Kate and Lucern was really cute I loved how she she showed up. Plus the beginning of the book was great it made me laugh at how ridiculous Lucern was. And I loved CK he was really funny especially when it was him and Lucern.

LOVE THIS SERIES

This book is full of action, romance, comedy everything you ask for in a romance novel. This is my second time reading this series the first was years ago through paperback and now I’m so happy she has this on ebooks

Single Hot Vampire

Loved Kate and Lucerns story!!! This was so awesome and romantic and her stories always have a bit of humor in them. I am so glad they continue with the families story and did.I mention they are hot vampire stories!!!!

Single White Vampire

This one was good and funny. Just the simple word "NO" placed in the right context was in itself funny. The struggle for Kate to get her her most popular author of vampire romance novels, Lucern, to attend a publicity event and what happens when she succeeds is great! She doesn't give up and it pays off in a big way!

Single White Vampire

I have to admit that I truly read this book all in one day! And I laughed my way through it as well. The characters were genuine and the story was believable, even though the hero is a centuries old vampire who writes romance novels, and our heroine is a modern day editor, trying to whip him into shape. I simply couldn't go to sleep until I finished it - and it left me smiling. It's a really good read. Jgtimm

My first Argeneau novel

I really liked this book, it being the first book by Lynsay Sands that I have read. It was a great stand alone novel and I didn't feel like I had missed out on anything that may have happen in previous books. The story was funny and the dialogue interesting. In all, a really fun and fast read.

Better with each read

Not my first time reading Single White Vampire, and it won't be my last. I highly recommend this book and all the others in the series.

If you don't want to have to think about plot - here is your series.

Lynsay Sands Vampire books are much alike but the stories as told take on a touch of humor as each vampire finds his/her mate which is almost always a regular human wildly attracted to them. They are fast reads.

Argeneau WOW

I read this book after I had read the rest of the series and absolutely loved it, I actually read it twice because it was so funny and will probably do so again in the near future. i love how this family interacts with each other and it adds to my belief that even the most straight laced of us has a fun side and never to wear a cod piece to any dress up parties... I know you will enjoy this story as much as I did.

Lynsay Sands Rocks

I love the Argeneau novels .. never get tired of them. Vampire fantasy novels are so much more fun than books that deal in real crimes and real atrocities to other human beings. If I want to be depressed by man's inhumanity to man, all I have to do is read the paper or listen to the daily news. Thank you Lynsay Sands for letting me go into a really creative mind.

A good time

I gave this book four stars because it was fun but a little slow. I really enjoyed the book's description of a romance convention. I recommend this book for you.

Phenomenal Read

Love this book plan on reading more of her work. Written awhile ago so not current in times for the technology reference but a phenomenal read!

Funny and insightful

I really enjoyed this book, ftont to back. I got a lot of laughs out of it, some actual guffaws, and I will read it again.

Soooo Goooooood

I have not read the first two books and wanted to start with this one. Luc just sounded more intriguing and broken. I loved this book! It was great, everything about it was awesome. Kate was perfect for him and the scene with the "condoms" was hilarious. I laughed out loud and cried. The sex scenes were great and didn't leave anything lacking. I'm glad finally discovered this series, now on to the next one.

Okay

Light and fun, but not a lot of substance

Single white vampire

Love this book one of my favorite's , romantic, funny and very sweet and exciting, it made me want to see what happens in the other books

Another great read

It's been years since I read this when it first published and it's as good as I remembered. I know that as the series progresses it just seems to get better, but these stories are still fun to read over.

love this series.. and this might be my favorite

I love the Argeneau Vampires. No spoilers here: This is a unique family of vampires with stories with a lot of hot and sexy, a good dose of bat-shit dumb humor and mystery. There are likeable (did I spell that right?) characters that evolve in the series. Include a touch of "who done it", and enough suspense to make these books an excellent read. I recommend them highly.

awesome series

I read this series in order and at this point the series has grown enormously. Great characters and really sweet and funny love story's. This book with Lucien was the best one in the series. I laughed pretty much my whole way through this book. I was the best of a really great series so that has to say a lot.

😎💚 this book was awesome

💚 this book was awesome I know it had it downs but it all worked out in the end and it was funny as well in some of it it is a great book

Love these books!

I have read nearly all of her books at least once and enjoy rereading them again and again! You are a brilliant writer and make the stories and characters really come alive!

Awesome

Series is amazing, I would recommend this series to anyone. I myself do not like fantasy and this was still phenomenal

Lucern's Lifemate

Single White Vampire is yet another mindblowing Lynsay Sands book. Lucern is being annoyed but his new editor to do some publicity but can hardly do TV when he needs blood, avoids sunlight and of course doesn't age. How long can he keep his new publisher and her co-workers in the dark? And how long can he deny his attraction to her a thirst he hasn't felt for centuries. Lynsay Sands does it again.

It’s not like other vampire books I’ve read.

I really like these books

start with book 1

I've read every one of her books on the Argeneau. family. If you haven't started this series yet what are you waiting for?t

Robbing blood banks is all in a days work haha

This book was really funny. I liked being able to see more of the Argeneau clan. The only thing was that Kate wasn't my favorite heroine. There was something about her I wasn't a fan about.

Starter book for the Argeneau Series

One of the earlier novels of the Argeneau series. A lot of the canon of the series doesn't apply or is ignored. If you've read the later books first, I would advise you to keep going and not go back. But if you are just starting out with the Argeneau series, it is a cute introduction to several characters who will recur, and a good introduction to Lynsay Sands.

Still loving this series.

I've read the first 3 books in less than a week. Sometimes accidentally staying up all night just to read "one more chapter" lol. If you are looking for something to read, these books will not disappoint. Time to start book 4 :-)

Argeneau vampire series

I love to read these series of books to see how they find their true love and how they all came together as a family.

another great book in this series!!

This book so far is my favorite in this series! I loved Kate and Lucern!!! Their story was touching and sometimes funny, and a little emotional. I loved that he writes Vampire romances!! Thank you Mrs. Sands for such wonderful books!!! I would recommend to any vampire romance fans out there!!!

Not as good as the first two .

I gave it only 3 stars because it was slow to me , it picked up a little bit in middle of the book with some amusing parts in the story . Overall I think the others I have read are much better .

another winner

Lynsay Sands does it again in this book. Lucern's reclusive life style is rocked by his editor Kate. And what Ettiene did to Kate in the basement, had me laughing so hard tears ran. Best one of the series for laughs. I feel so close to all these Immortals that they feel like family.

better as they go along

I started with the first book, then the second and now just finished reading this one. The love scenes keep getting better. I liked this book the best out of the three.

Solid paranormal romance

This is not a real thought provoking read, but if you just want to be entertained, and laugh out loud while reading then jump right in!

Classy Modern Vampire

This is one cute book! It developed into a series, but this was the first and the best. Even people who hate vampires enjoy this book. It is very modern, a really different take on how vampires developed, and really funny. Of course I am going to tell you to read it!

Awesome Series

Have all her books but wanted to read the series again. Now I will have them on Kindle.

Liked It!

It took me a while to get into this one compared to the first couple, but once it got going I didn't put it down. On to the next one!

Awesome,Awesome

I love this family. Intrigue, romance, sex (hot steamy sex) sadness, devestation, heart break and fun,, what is there not too love about the family that faces all these life changing things and still see the benefits of loving and carng for each other is what life is all about.

Four Stars

Great book, couldn't put it down!

Love

I can say that after reading all of this series I am very smitten with how Ms. Sands develops and tells the story of her characters.

LOVE THEM. IT IS WONDERFUL TO HAVE A CONNECTION ...

I HAVE ALL THE ARGENEAU VAMPIRE BOOKS. LOVE THEM. IT IS WONDERFUL TO HAVE A CONNECTION TO ALL THE PLAYERS IN THESE BOOKS. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH. JUST PLAIN LOVE THEM.

Whether it's her Argeneau or Highland series, they're all great

Whether it's her Argeneau or Highland series, they're all great

Sexy and Delightful

This is an awesome and sexy read that will keep you entertained for hours of remarkable reading plessure. This is a recommended must read for adults only that will enchant and intrigue you into the world of sexy vampires. ***CAUTION: READER DISCRETION ADVISED***

Sigh!!! :)

I have purchased Lynsay Sands entire argeneau series!!! These stores are so amazing! I love all the levels she incorporates within them. A must have series for the romance reader even if you're not into the supernatural stuff. I wasn't at first but I can't put her books down!!

Four Stars

A really fun series.

A+

Good book

Great Series

Enjoyed all the books in this series

This one seemed to have the best ratings. Actually

contemporary paranormal with protected sex. I seriously wanted to give this 1 star, but after the Fifty Shades books, the 1 star bar has been lowered. I had read a Christmas short story by LS & was intrigued enough to try one of her full length novels. This one seemed to have the best ratings. Actually, I'm appalled at the number of 4 & 5 star ratings this book has received. It's easily the dullest, dumbest vampire romance I've EVER read!! The dialogue is stiff & the slapstick humor made me roll my eyes. The Twilight series is classic literature by comparison.

Excellent read.

Love this series for all the adventure and thrilling journeys Makes you wonder where she gets all her original storylines. Love the names and all of the characters. I love this series and the way that Lynsay keeps our interest and intrigue.

Amazing

Get the series

Single white vampire

Loved this one. Can't wait for my next one. Never lets me down when I am read ok Nguyen this series.

Vampire Romance

I love all the Argeneau books. This is a great Vampire Romance series. I would highly recommend this series.

BETTER THAN PROZAC....

This is the most side spliting humor and good vamp series I have ever read. Do not Miss The Argeneau Vampires @ friends. I sometimes wonder If I am disturbing my neighbors with my late at night Laughter that seems to come from Nowhere... A Must Read as are all of Lindsay Sands books.

I've greatly enjoyed the Argeneau Vampire Series!

It's got everything! It's witty, cleaver, suspenseful, chilling, and full of romance! I can't stop reading them and am excited to look into more novel by this author!

Love the whole series started at the end read 3 ...

Love the whole series started at the end read 3 books. Then had to read them all from the beginning. Can't put them down!

Hilarious !

This was a fun book to read. I was laughing so much, that my husband asked me about it. I recommend this for any one who needs a picker upper!

What is not to like about the Argeneau Series!

They are so funny and hot. I was hooked and could not read them fast enough. Of course they are good enough that you want to re-read them just to laugh some more. I think Lynsay Sands is a genius!

Entertaining but formulaic

All of Lynsay Sands books follow the same formula which may or may not be a bad thing. Personally, after reading one or two I'm through, no longer interested in the series. But they are very entertaining, easy to read and well written. If you've never read one of her books I would recommend it.

Re-reading the series

I love the Argeneau family. Lynsay's skill with humor and human insight is inspiring. I often find myself receiving subtle reminders to appreciate the life we have as viewed through the eyes of characters who had given up on truly enjoying life's offerings.

Great book!

OMG I am obsess with this famly. I am in-love with this books. This is a wonderful story. I am beyond happy about this book. Go get it. I think you will enjoy it very well.

Five Stars

I love all of Lynsay Sands books and most of all Argeneau Vampire series.

loved it!

These books have great stories, and each character brings a little something to the whole, including drama vampiric issues and a whole lot of fun. Can wait for the next in the series!

Great Series!

This was a great book I liked the story very much. Reading these in order helps to keep up with the characters lives, but you do not have to read them in order.

I am enjoying this writer

I am enjoying this writer. This is not my most favorite of the set , but they do need to be read in the order they are on her web site do not read them in order they are published. I am looking forward to book 4. Can't wait.

great story

enjoyed all books in this series - character interaction from other books was great and truly makes you enjoy the entire family in this series and the action is constant. would love to see more

Another Argeneau Triumph

Lynsay Sands has developed the Argeneaus and they are funny, endearing and totally understandable. I've enjoyed Sands work and am now trying to acquire the books I read prior to changing states of residence.

Four Stars

Love the characters in this series.

Good

It is a very intertaning story. I do not know what else to say I enjoyed reading it. That is all you need to know right.

Great

Another great Argeneau book. I love the variety that Sands brings to her books. Lucern and Kate were a great couple.

Great book!

Still loving the series and ready to move to the next book and see the last brother find a life mate.

a sweet story

I truly enjoyed this story. I often found myself laughing out loud. I have read three books about this family. Each book is better than the last. Please read Ms. Sands books.

Five Stars

Her books are very good, keep you reading and worth you reading!

Single white vampire

I have read a number of Lynsay's books a nd have loved them all. Cannot wait to read the next one.

Decent

I have read a lot in this genre. The overall idea for the story is good. The author just tends to beat the dead horse on her descriptions of just about everything. Four + pages dedicated to describing something easily described in two paragraphs got old really fast.

loved it

This author is amazing. I love the creativity behind the series! All the characters are amazing and there is great depth to her stories with interesting plot twists.

A fun book.

It is very amusing. A nice break from the usual life and death situations in most paranormal stories I read.

Awesome read

I love lynsay sands. She is awesome! I can't wait to read more. I love how she makes being a vampire so normal and the depth of the love between the characters.

Rare Sense of Humor in such a romance!!!

Wow - love these books. Sands has a great sense of humor and to take a centuries old and apparently socially inept vampire having to deal with a mortal must be cringing indeed. Love these stories. Thanks Betty

A good read

A very good read but a little too much sex and little plot. you will still die laughing at the humor of the book.

good series

Enjoying this series, it's funny and well written. The characters are of a wide variety which is great as well.

Eh...

After reading the books out of order I have noticed that the newer books in the series have been my favorite. I found myself stopping this book halfway through in disappointment. This is one of my favorite series and I’m actually glad I read them out of order I may have given up on the series before I really started

Five Stars

Great story

Loved it

I found it to be the best vampire story in a long time. I really enjoyed this book. I'm ready to start the next book!

Really cute

You have to love characters that seem made for each other, especially when one's grumpy and the other snarky. Best of the series so far.

Five Stars

I have read this book four times I love Lynsay Sands books read it.

Five Stars

Fun to read

Disappointing on so many levels.

Bleh! As with A Quick a Bite, I looked forward to the novel because I liked the unusual storyline: vampire romance novelist is a vampire. Although there are several comedic interactions between Lucern and Rachel, the overall pace and plot of the book is insipid and lackluster at best. The codpiece debacle should never have made it into the final draft. A total waste of reading material.

just love this book

once again they get their life mate.. and as always I just love Lynsay Sands sense of humour... a great read

Single White Vampire.

All I can say is, this book is great! Very entertaining, sexy and humorous. i enjoyed it. Always looking forward to the next book in the series.

One if the best in the series.

but it is still a very good read.

I loved this book so much; I had to buy one for my daughter and her friends to read this series.

amazing!

A wonderful book! All of get books are marvelous. Each time she tops the previous book in the series. :)

Wow, couldn`t put it down

IT had humor and did not lag. Can`t wait to read more of L Sands books. Well worth the price.

Lucern: from grumpy antisocial to a puppet

Lynsay Sands Argeneaus's books are nice romances, I didn't like this one. I had to force myself to finish it so I wouldn't miss the line of the whole series. Lucern starts as a grumpy, antisocial vampire but in the end he is a puppet in Kate's hands, going to ridiculous balls and accepting every kind of thing. OK, he is in love, but did it have to involve all that nonsense? He is often showed as a fragile vampire, physically and his strong mind disappears in the end. I wouldn't recommmend this book.

fast read

if you enjoyed the twilight series, then you will enjoy lynsay sand's series as well; reads fast; reads easy; enjoy

yes

I would love any book lynsay sands writes she writes of vampires that seem so real thank you love it

Five Stars

Great series

This is a great book. Love the series.

AWESOME

i love love love this book, cant wait to read the next one in the series. just awesome to read

Five Stars

I love this book as well as all the others written by Lynsay Sands!!!

It's ok

Compared to the extremely enjoyable first two books of this series, this book felt trite and boring. none of the attraction between Kate and Lucern made a ton of sense. She made Kate a really annoying and boring character and Lucern was lacking in depth (actually, both were). I hope the next book reverts back to the enjoyable tone of the first two...

ENJOYABLE

I READ THIS BOOK IN TWO DAYS AND THATS BECAUSE PEOPLE KEPT INTERRUPTING ME ALL THE TIME, THE WHOLE ENTIRE SERIES OF BOOKS BY LINSAY SANDS WAS BETTER THAN I EXPECTED, MAYBE SHE WILL HAVE ONE MORE BOOK.

Five Stars

Enjoyed it very much thank u..

great author

love this series

great read!

Excellent story! Keeps with the rest of the story line but can be understood even if you haven't followed the rest.
