I love this series so much! Can’t wait for book 3 to find out what they plan for the ball!

Love this author. She writes tongue in cheek, yet manages to insert profound moments for her main characters. Unlike some others, she doesn’t have her characters repeat the same old mistakes over and over and over again. They learn and grow in a realistic way. More please!!!!

If I found out that mom and dad know what was happening to me and didn't tell me or train me to protect myself. And made me think I was lacking or not worthy. I would feel very betrayed.

I have, admittedly, been eagerly waiting for this one ever since I read the previous book. I'm not someone who'd had been much into vampire books. Fortunately, the author featured the beginning of the first book in the Lowrance Vampires at the end of one of her other books. And I was hooked! Book 1 was an excellent read...it captured me with its good characters, plotting and story lines. Silent Stalker has taken everything about the first one I liked, and then just took it to places I would not have predicted! So looking forward to where this goes next!!!

The author managed to surprise me a couple of times and made me laugh others. I really enjoy this interpretation of vampires and Emerick and Pepper's relationship has been fun to watch evolve over the first two books and I'm excited to see how they grow together in the future. Over all I really enjoyed this sequel to Blood Bound and look forward to the next installment in the series.

As usual an excellent addition to my R.j.Blain collection. So far I've enjoyed everything she has written. Like with the other authors I enjoy I wish she'd write faster. I understand though she's a human with a life& needs to sleep. So I patiently await the next book. Bravo Ma'am

This book has been a delightful twist on the way one can perceive things based on the information you have. Reading the first book, you immerse yourself in the story. Reading this one, with its plot twists, and you go "Wow! That makes sense!". Delightful way of looking at things from a different perspective, that just adds depth to the characters and the story ( Because real life is full of plot twists!). Bravo, RJ! Get another wonderful story for me to read over and over again.

Whether the plot is wacky or more closely traditional urban fantasy, I love me some RJ Blain. The Lowrance series is the latter. Ms. Blain's gift for world building remains awesome but this installment, we get a bit of 'everything you know is a lie' as well. A great amount of appeal to me is that while scenes of action do appear and are important, realistic as possible due to the genre conversation is what drives most of the story. It is very good and entertaining conversation as well. I look forward to hopefully many more stories of this brood.

So many twists and turns,completely unexpected. It is so fantastic, something new on every psge. The first book was fantastic and finding out there was going to be a second book was a marvelous thing. Even better is finding out there will be a third book. I'm so excited, this world should never end - I know it will have to at some point. But until then I will read Silent Stalker several more times now. Then re-read the pair periodically until I receive book 3, which I will pre-order as soon as I can. If you don't read this series, you are seriously missing out on some amazing books.

The lore and world blossoms in this second installment. So much is developed, loving detail, and so many complicated emotions. For someone going through familial revelations myself, I needed what Pepper was going through and the way RJ does it is just a master class.

Strong female character, old and wise supporting crew. Interesting twists to motivations, enough to keep glued to the read! Love this authors tales!

I was unable to put this book down, it was released in the pm, I dropped the book twice before I gave up to go to sleep. I loved the 1st book, which follows a female unexpectedly turned into a vampire, she has issues with how strict her father is (as well as other issues)...but not everything is what it seems. I was not expecting this plot twist at all. Looking forward to the next book. This is one of the books that escaped the authors timeline of only two books, now the wait to see what happens.

There is a lot to like about this book. As with all of the author's books, it is well written, great world building, consistent adherence to her worlds rules, and good characters. Many times I've been disappointed with a middle book in a series that is weaker in plot and character development than the initial book but that did not happen here. The plot turns were frequent and unexpected, keeping my interest hooked. And the characters, both primary and secondary, continued to develop and grow from the initial book. Overall, a really good read.

Was I thrilled when in realized past self had preordered this book and it magically appeared on my kindle? You bet your butt I was! R.J. picks up right where things left off in book one and takes you on an ever more intriguing journey of story and character development. The bonds of family, friends, and romance are expounded upon with the anticipated wit and humor that makes all of these books so fantastic. I’m not even bothered that we are left with still more questions to answer in the next book!

Madam author. How dare you be human and have to stop the words from appearing on the page?! Ruthless and unscrupulous. Jkjk. But really, I was very happy to see there's at least one more book coming out. I love this series. So much. I can't give my full thoughts without spoilers, but I'm excited to see how book 3 goes for all characters. This was creative, unexpected, and I'm about to nurse a book hangover like none other. I'm not sure if I love you or severely dislike you right now...

I love Pepper and Emerick individually and together. I did not see the twist with Pepper’s father coming and did not expect to understand why he did what he did and decide he wasn’t such a bad guy after all. As always with a book by R.J. Blain, there are great friendships and loving relationships throughout and plenty of action and intrigue. I read this book in one sitting and can’t wait for the next book in the series.

I love this series. Yes, I love all her series. This is a good storyteller. I want book 3 now! Pepper and Emeric are good protagonists. They are likable and believable. I am disappointed that Daddy dearest is no longer a baddie. Definitely buy this. It’s a great read.

I very much enjoy R.J. Blain's books. Some have become increasingly wordy or political though. I seriously enjoy Pepper & Emmerick. Their adventures have been fun while working through trauma in interesting ways. I am excited to see how Pepper grows in her Stake carving. The relationships that grow in this book are multifaceted and yet everything together kept the book light and fun. Thank you for your work Blain.

I like the plot twist that i never saw coming. Great job! Now i will be rereading first one with different eyes. An entertaining days read. Still leaving mystery for final book to resolve yet ended in a good spot. Leaves you wanting more without dreading the wait.

This is the second in the series but you don't need to have read the first to enjoy this one. You will catch on faster if you read the first one. OK just to comment, the ongoing puns are just plain fun! And there will be more to the series! Who knew vampires were so much fun?

I very much enjoyed Blood Bound, so I was excited to get the second installment. It contains a twist that I NEVER would have expected. I am difficult to surprise, so that was an added delight. As ever, I am pleased about the amount of thought and care that went into this novel and the complexity of the characters.

This sequel is a bit lighter than the first but does it pack a punch when it comes to all the twists and turns. I love it !! The world building is impeccable, the weaving of multiple storylines together while closing or giving answers to others is breathtaking. I can’t wait until the next one.

I wasn't sure at first, preferring my and to vampires, however, I simply love R.J. Brain so....while waiting on more of her other books to be set free...I decided to go Blood Bound and Silent Stalker. LOVED them both!!! But now I'm a little bummed I have to wait for Book 3. Grrrrr.

Love RJ Blain’s stories, and this is no exception. Her hero is strong without taking away from the heroine’s strength. The humor is fun, and the future is looking good.

I love the sarcasm, the laughter, the bets, murdering miscreants, villains and misunderstood villains, it all just makes a fun book can't wait for the next one.

So much happens in these stories that I can read them again and see things I missed the first time. To me the best stories are the ones you can read again and again with true enjoyment. The author delivers another of those with this book. Can't wait for another installment.

I love the dive into the current circumstances of these characters as well as the past explanations described for clarification. This is a great read and I recommend this to all who enjoy vampires. I will be rereading this several times and waiting for the next installment.

This is a continuation of Pepper's first book, Blood Bound. There's a few plot twists, but it's all worth it!

Plot twist I did not expect. Good book and continued character development. Wanted more on hunt for "original" vampire sire.

After reading I feel like I just have read a primer on how vampires work in this world. There were maybe three instances of action, which have not much new information about the villain. In face there is no resolution here. On the other hand we have an over abundance of banter, off interludes that aren't necessary and a random character insert that just doesn't really fit. I got so bored reading I stopped three times to read other books rather than slog on through more talking. Unending non-stop banter. I am pretty much done with this author.

I loved this book! I could spend time writing about the plot, the humor, the characters, the concept behind the book, but I think a lot of reviewers have touched on those things already. I just wanted to say that I find RJ's books to be entertaining and thoughtful. If you enjoyed the first Lowrance Vampires book, you will love this.

If you enjoyed blood bound, you will enjoy this book. You really should read Blood bound first. A bit if a mystery of vampires being kidnapped and starved which is not solved but will obvious be left to book 3. You do find out a lot more about vampire society and Pepper's father. I would agree that book 2 is a placeholder for book 3 but that said, I still enjoyed it (hence 4 star and not 5 star)

Wow. A twist in the story line I somehow didn't expect. Although I read book 1 again to refresh my memory. It was basically a beginning to end read - while eating - and showering - thanks to waterproof kindle and thankfully no work. The characters are even more developed. I love the sass in penny and the absolute confidence of Emerick in his let's say maleness that it is absolutely no problem to leave the female out hunting. Seldom I read a book with so much equality. thanks a lot. Absolutely worth reading and can't wait for book 3.

Plenty of cameo moments to treasure and unexpected twists in the tale to leave you wanting more. As always a joy to read. I have no idea if there are any typos as for me the story world painting is all and once started I couldn’t put it down.

As always this author writes well, good world and character building. The book is dialogue heavy, to the extent that it's tempting to skim large tracts as after a while cutesy riffs between the main couple get a bit repetitive. But nothing much happens in this book. Mostly it deals with the backstory of the heroine, bringing out the detail that she was unaware of at the time. It doesn't really move things forward. It feels a bit like a placeholder for the next book in the series.

I adore Pepper more than I realistically should but honestly she’s such an interesting character. RJ Blaine has created a wonderfully intricate world once again and seeing Pepper move around and own her new life brings me such joy.
