The Bill of Rights?
This is not a book about understanding the Constitution of the United States. It is a paraphrased version of the Bill of Rights and does not even have the decency to fully explain how each right came into being and the reasoning behind including them as the first ten amendments to the constitution. Not worth wasting money on. I was expecting a detailed explanation of the articles of the constitution like it stated in the description.
The United States Constitution, no addenda, active index
Having just quickly perused all 44 pages of this USA e-book, just want to point out that this version of The United States Constitution is not annotated. It does have an excellent live index, very useful.
Great history
To often this constitution is NOT followed and ppl are fed BS, lies an a left wing narrative to appease the direction of the left and rewrite history to their narrative. Reading brings to recall many of the struggles many have had over the years. The basic truth we held as a nation. It is refreshing to come back to.
The Constitution - every one needs to read and BE FAMILIAR with it
The Constitution is essential reading and study including the historical setting - if you don't know what it says [not what someone else says it says] then you are lost at following politics and can't understand the law. And you certainly won't e able to stand up and defend it!

All citizens of the United States should be required, through public education, to take a class on US Government, thereby exposing them to their basic rights as citizens of this country. It should be noted that the first 10 Amendments of the constitution are also listed as The Bill of Rights.

Thanks, Amazon, for enabling everyone with a connected device to have immediate access to the Constitution. Every U.S. citizen should carefully read and understand this document. Written almost 230 years ago, in the historical context, language and writing style of that time, I found it helpful to refer a scholarly, politically neutral and easy to understand study of the Constitution. Here is best I found; "The U.S. Constitution And Fascinating Facts About It". The Constitution... Read it. Understand it. Be a better citizen.

What I like the most is being able to read this important document on my Kindle. There really isn't anything to dislike about something that is ordained and established "in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity."

Even though I found it to be vague at times, I've been very happy with the United States Constitution. It can be altered if need be and even though it's over 140 years old, it still seems to be working fine.

If you're American there is really only one reason...YOU LIVE HERE, MY G!!!!!
If you have never read the constitution or it has been a while, do yourself a favor and read it. If you live in America and you have at least an 8th grade reading level then there is really no excuse for not read it. Discuss it with friends and family, become familiar with it, and pay attention to what is going on around you. You'll better understand the current political climate and it will encourage you to become more civically engaged. More civic engagement from citizens creates a better country for all. So make it happen captain. It takes maybe an hour to read, but it is worth the time investment.
Read this book.
What can I say.. it's our Constitution. Everyone should read this book so that they will fully understood exactly what the Constitution is and what it actually says. Complex.. yes. Interesting.. definitely.
The words of a new nation
I hadn't read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights since I was in school but wanted to reread it due to our country's current state of affairs. While it was a bit of a dry read and wouldn't be classified as a thrilling read, it was very interesting and informative. Of course the true beauty of this document is that the Founding Fathers knew it wasn't perfect and gave us the ability to amend and adapt it as times changed.
The actual language of the Condtitution should be at your fingertips
So many people misstate the provisions of this short beautifully indexed document. In this election season, read Article II and Amendment XII. We need to amend the Constitution further, before you can vote for a third party. A robust third party means all our votes are voided and the House of Representatives appoints the President. Other neglected provisions are contained in Article VI, which, like Amendment I, rejects the notion that this is legally a Christian country. Because of the oath or affirmation or it is also legal even for one of the original 13 States to secede. Of course, the subsequent States cannot secede, because they were not independent, but bought with federal money.
Old, But Still Topical
4 stars. Started strong, but went downhill in the amendments. Could use more detail on how elections are to be held. Surprised by the lack of reference to God, given other reviews.
United States Constitution
I have many copies of the United States Constitution but I wanted one I could carry with me again. This is perfect for that.
Spend more time with this.
With all that’s going on I think we all need to spend a bit more time with this document. It’s the lack of understanding that’s gotten a lot of folks lost.
Should be required reading
I have read the constitution on multiple occasions and will continue to do so. It is sometimes very difficult to rationalize some of our laws based upon the constitution.
Required Reading for All
This document needs to be read by every American. Every person in this country needs to see exactly what it says and what it doesn't say. There are many things being touted as "Constitutional Rights" which are no where in this document. What is here, are the values, hopes and dreams of our Founding Fathers for a great nation and all of the tools to make it so.
Great document, free for Kindle.
I now have copies of this on my Kindle, and my iPhone. Many Congress people keep a copy in their back pocket. And Khazir Khan keeps a copy in his coat pocket. Hopefully our president elect will get around to reading it, although it might be a lost cause.

Must Read
Every citizen and citizen want to be should read our Constitution. We should be familiar with our rights as well as the power of those in Government.
What can I say, it is our Constitution.
I need to write twenty words but I think our founding fathers did a great job. Not much more to say.
Not perfect, but the best...
When one thinks of the time this document was written, and how the world has changed since...boggles the mind the for sight, the protections enclosed in order to form a government strong enough to do what is necessary to survive, yet vulnerable enough to resist any one powerful group to take over. Brilliance at its best!
The Source
This is that pamphlet that congressmen keep in their inside pockets and wave around as though they know what it ways. Worth actually reading, though. Stylistically it's arcane, but it's really pretty good literature too.
Every American should read our constitution, once...
Great document, concise clear. So many people quote it, Americans live by it, but many people haven't read it. Kinda like the Holy Bible. This one is free, read it is a good thing.
It’s the law of the land. It’s the only law ‘we the people’ have ever voted on.
I love our constitution! It’s the glue that has made, and keeps America, America. People should know, understand, and learn more about the foundation of all our laws. Please pay more attention to the ‘bill of rights’.
In troubling times, one can always reference the wisdom...
In troubling times, one can always reference the wisdom of our founding Fathers! I sure appreciate having this copy saved on my phone, and the ease of which I can pull up items. I read, re-read and read yet again, trying to understand how we are getting to where we are right now...Makes one wonder, for sure!!
Free Constitution
As a piblic record, the constitution should be available to read for free. And it is. This was nicely laid out with the clauses and amended materials underlined for later referral
People need to read this.
I wonder how many people have actually read the Constitution.
Incomplete
It is incomplete. For example it does not include the preamble to the Bill of Rights. Save your time and get a version that has the complete document.

Helpful to have this copy of the U.S. Constitution. I particularly liked the easy access to the amendments linked to the original sections. Particularly in the chaotic nature of this election season ready recourse to reading this original document is a must.
A must read. Seriously--take the time to read it.
Starts out great, all "We the people" and stuff. Gets kind of boring at the end, though the prohibition years were kind of cool. I didn't remember there have been five Constitutional amendments since I was born. Numbers 23 through 27. We still had poll taxes in 1964? Jeez, I'm old. There are still eight states that haven't ratified #24 either. What is wrong with people?
Every American Should Have a Copy
This is American History that everyone should know.
Must Read U.S.A
Everyone needs to carry this around with them, it is the law of the land. If you do not know it or understand this, then study it. This is all we have as american citizens. They can add to it, but never take away. Learn it, respect it, live it.
Suggest for all americans so you know your rights
got to know your rights in those times of need
Know your rights
Everyone, should have a copy, read and study is a must
Yes it is!
This book is the Constitution - nothing more no5hing less. I would have preferred some commentary or explanation along the way, but it didn't happen.
Unstable, not well designed.
I deleted the Kindle version of The Constitution, because it would skip 10 pages to another section when I would try to turn the page
A must read for adults, to refresh your memory
It's been a while since I read the Constitution. It was great to fresh my memory on what the two branches of government do. Also, to look at past Amendment's and what dates they were in acted and how they contributed to government. We as a nation are growing slowly with the times!

It Has worked for over 240 years.
It's concise, and has all the basic concepts, rules and precautions to build a new and untested government. The founders of our government tried to put forth enough guidance to prohibit what had happened in England and here on American soil, yet give us a framework to build a nation and amendment it to reflect changing times. If you accompany this with historical periodicals and press reports, you can see what was intended and why it's written the way it is. It is up to US to carry it forward based on an education of the past, and what could happen in the future if "we the people" aren't willing to pay attention to our existing government and the folly of politicians.
Everyone should take the time to become familiar with this.
Our founding fathers prepared the Constitution of the United States to help us learn to govern ourselves more efficiently. All citizens of the United States and from around the world would benefit from what was written more than two centuries ago about human nature, as our founding fathers presented it within this text.
Simply the Constitution.
Simply the Constitution. As written and your ability to understand those that wrote and made our history. To totally understand it you do need a historical background in our history.
This vs Putin should drive the United States
What every member of Congress, Vice-president and President should know by heart and be guided by. This country is heading towards another Civil War.
Great Format
This is a great format that makes it easy to reference and quickly find sections.
Live by it and expect your Government to live by it.
This is the US Constitution, not a current novel. Makes no sense to "rate" it.
This edition is not burdened by tedious scholarly opinions
The Constitution is a document every American should read at least once. A knowledge of it can settle many a dinner disagreement. This edition is not burdened by tedious scholarly opinions. It is straight forward,
Valuable book
Always good to know
The title tells it all!
It' a replica obviously. Straightforward. I think because some of the language is archaic having some definitions or interpretation of some passages would make it clearer but the title is it, nothing more, nothing less.
Every American should have a copy of the Constitution and the Federalist Papers.
Everyone should read, study, and have the Constitution with them. Especially in today's political mess where things that are rights are being threatened and everything someone thinks is a good idea is called a right...we need to know how the government is supposed to operate and what the limits of its power are supposed to be.
Our Legal System

Even though I found it to be vague at times, I've been very happy with the United States Constitution. It can be altered if need be and even though it's over 140 years old, it still seems to be working fine.

Nice to have an eVersion of the US Constitution
Perfect. Thank you.
American Garbage
Garbage.
A wish -
I wish that the Constitution authors had included a clause prohibiting the President from pardoning himself. Now it will be up to the Supreme Court to decide that issue.
Good
just loved this. Thanks I'll use y'all again thanks!
Basic
Good reference material. Very dry, but educational. Why is it required to write a review for an informative work when it simply restates an existing document.
The way America was suppose too be.
Good reading anytime, make you think.Wish life could be this way, without twist it all around. We should try living this .instead of killing each other.
Every American Should Read
Sooooo basically every American should read this document. I read it today and will read it every 4th of July. 'Merica!
Still Great
Would be even better if it was adhered to. Something to look forward to. Probably won’t happen in my lifetime.
Know your rights
Citizens of the United States of America should probably be required to read the Constitution of the United States yearly.

U.S.A.
The father of the deceased Muslim hero who whipped the Constitution out of his pocket as he addressed the Democratic Convention made me have to refresh myself on this.
Political brilliance
The best constitution ever written, with foresight and wisdom beyond comparison, a foundation for democracy that has stood the tests of time. Every time I read it, I salute our Founding Fathers.
This should be on everyone's book shelf
The Constitution is the founding idea(s) upon which America is built. In plain, 6th grade English, our rights and limitations are spelled out. It is our right, no, duty to learn and understand these principles. Lawyers spend years learning ways to subvert the Constitutional rights of the citizenry. Don't be ignorant or ill-informed of YOUR rights. This book is FREE, so there is NO excuse to not have it.
What Else Can Be Said?
It's the United States Constitution, for free, on Kindle. One of the most widely respected governance documents in history. Everyone should have this freebie on their Kindle. And actually read it...

This is a must have for everyone. With all the political talk being plastered all over the news media the Constitution is a handy reference to keep at hand.

The United States Constitution on Kindle
When you are an American, the United States Constitution Rules. And, I love this particular version which is great to listen to when my Amazon Echo Alexa is reading it to me, Okay! How cool is that.
Glad i have it
Haven't read it since high school. So glad it was available on my Kindle so I could really know what it REALLY says. What I took from it, our founding fathers were very astute having the fore sight to create a document that would last 200+ years.
Should be Required Reading for ALL Government Employees.
STILL a "Best Seller"!! All government employees should be REQUIRED to Recite the Pledge of Allegiance AND the Constitution before work EVERY DAY; or resign.

As much as it is misquoted I find it helpful to have a copy on hand to refer to. Ignorance is NOT bliss.
And because everything was not perfect between all people at the time the document was ...
Many people will not recognize this document as the codification of the founding principles of America. If one were to walk out on the street and ask people about certain paragraphs in the US Constitution without revealing the source, many individuals would argue bitterly that no country should have such laws. And because everything was not perfect between all people at the time the document was written, of course those that wrote the Constitution were evil cranks who should be shunned in history and their work disparaged. That's what passes for popular "thought" these days. Except the disparagement of that work would be illegal in many of the countries that those same folks folks want to emulate and those who engaged upon such disparagement would be arrested or worse for doing so. It would be nice if the Constitution was actually taught in the public school system again so that ignorance of its principles was not seen as some sort of political enlightenment worthy of a sound byte and cheap sloganeering.

Been rereading this wonderful document. It could be a great thing to guide a country if the people appreciated it and lived by it.
Constitution
This was an easy read for me. The straight forward constitution as written. How can one speak of what they will about the constitution unless you've read it? An easy read with hyperlinks to the amendments as required. I recommend.
Worth exactly what I paid for it - nothing
Let me be clear - this is a one star for this Kindle edition, not for the Constitution itself. The pages keep jumping forward and backwards when I swipe to go to the next page. Instead of going to the next page, the book skips many pages ahead and then won't go back. I read a lot of books on my Kindle and have never had this problem before, so can only assume it's an issue with the formatting.

You should have been in that hospital ward and see the wounded trying to get out of bed to beat the crap out of that fellow
I studied American History in High School 60 years ago and I have read the Constitution at least 3 times. I am overwhelmed every time that I read it or do any studying regarding this Document. I have served in the Armed Services of the United States and swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. I hold a Purple heart with two bronze clusters. I was shot down in my Helicopter in Vietnam and while recovering in the hospital, I heard someone say that they thought the Constitution was a" tired old rag" Rage swelled up in me but I kept my mouth shut. You should have been in that hospital ward and see the wounded trying to get out of bed to beat the crap out of that fellow. I served 38 years in Law Enforcement and swore an oath to Support and Defend the Constitution. I'm 76 years of age and if asked to serve again to support that Document and the Flag it represents, I would do so in a heart beat.

The Constitution - every one needs to read and BE FAMILIAR with it
The Constitution is essential reading and study including the historical setting - if you don't know what it says [not what someone else says it says] then you are lost at following politics and can't understand the law. And you certainly won't e able to stand up and defend it!

Even though I found it to be vague at times, I've been very happy with the United States Constitution. It can be altered if need be and even though it's over 140 years old, it still seems to be working fine.

An excellent resource
Informative
The book gave me the necessary information I needed to obtain the proper perspective about the constitution. It was clear and concise.

Seems ok. Just have it for reference only.
First timer to download and read
This was the first thing I down loaded on my tablet and first book that I thought would be interesting to begin reading.
Great Owners' Manual
It's the United States Constitution. Good reading. Seriously.
Love your rights, Know your rights!!!
very informative. Everyone needs to refresh themselves on their constitutional rights and bill of rights (all 27 articles ). The everyday Joe or Jane does not know every rule in the book the way the judge or lawyers do, but it helps you stand on your principals and fight when you feel your rights have been violated. Some crooked lawmen, judges and lawyers love it that some don't have a clue about our rights which they take advantage of over and over. It is even better if you can get it on video or audio.

Great Reference
Excellent reference material, perfect for work, home, especially for reference
Every citizen should understand this
Interesting to understand our right as citizens as it regards our rights, including our voting rights. Rather brilliant and well conceived set of rules that have stood the test of time.

America - Constitutions
Very nice copy - I would buy it again - It is good to have a copy - we should all know what it says. People who are studying to become citizens know more about it than we do.

Our Legal System
All citizens of the United States should be required, through public education, to take a class on US Government, thereby exposing them to their basic rights as citizens of this country. It should be noted that the first 10 Amendments of the constitution are also listed as The Bill of Rights.

Brush up on your rights.
Needed to read again after 50 yrs. Good read.
These rights say nothing about utilizing them responsibly. Should be modernized regarding dangers of contemporary technology.
It would be cool if this was more applicable in a modern perspective, particularly in regards to technology. It's a little disappointing that some of the amendments only came around as recently as a hundred years ago or so when the country was founded in, what, 1776? It's also awkward at the parts where they put in amendments that later had to be repealed. I'm not asking for history to be censored because the historical truth belongs to all who dwell on the Earth, but it does come across a bit messy. In short, should be modernized considering the dangers of certain modern technologies, and some rights should definitely have been granted sooner.

It's about time I read this
After being excoriated by several of my conservative talk show hosts for never having read the Constitution, I decided to access it and read it. I was amazed at how much I did not know the Constitution covered and protected. This is a great version, as it includes the amendments within the original passages (in blue), as well as having them where they would normally be placed. In this time before a national election, I would highly recommended that you read the Constitution and understand the basis for your vote.

Exactly what I ordered, amazing and I just wonder all the time if AMERICANS ever read or have read it!! Just amazes me that our forefathers had more insight than all of the present legislative, executive and judicial put together could ever accomplish. Now, it makes me wonder just how many of the 545 have actually spent time reading The Constitution, the Bill of Rights and other important documents that are a part of who were are. That is the reasoning for having this on hand and with me all the time!!

Even though I found it to be vague at times, I've been very happy with the United States Constitution. It can be altered if need be and even though it's over 140 years old, it still seems to be working fine.

The Bill of Rights makes me get all choked up. How can any student graduate high school without a full semester just on Our Constitution. It is the foundation of what it means to be American. Obviously a MUST READ!
A Classic Must Read
Great document... A must read and reread for people of all generations... While some parts are a bit dry, I enjoyed it so much that I have sworn an oath on multiple occasions to support and defend the Constitution. Highly recommended if you are interested in history, law, and American exceptionalism.
No Bargain
It's annotated. Someone else's opinion of the wording of the Constitution is not acceptable
It's the Constitution of the United States of America, What else needs to be said?
Honestly? I don't normally write reviews about stuff where the experience is highly subjective (Software, Books, Movies, etc...) since stuff I might like a lot (schlocky B-movies like "Shaolin Soccer" and "Kung Fu Hustle") might drive other people around the bend (my wife LOATHES "Bubba Ho Tep" and Bruce Campbell for example). But this is the United States Constitution. One of the Three Great Documents that form the blueprint for our Country, the greatest country that has ever existed. EVERYONE should read this book... repeatedly. There should be entire year-long MANDATORY classes in School on it.
Everyone must read

A must read for every American!
SHOULD BE REQUIRED READING FOR ALL AMERICANS
It is the Constitution - hardly needs a review -- something everyone should be familiar with -- and you do forget just what is in it & where when you have been out of school/college for a long time. It is a reference book, period.
A Must-have In Your Library
A must have for every U. S. Citizen. All of us should know what freedoms and rights our Constitution holds for us.
God Bless the USA
Amazing document, still amazing today. It's about 31 pages long and everyone should read it.

Having just quickly perused all 44 pages of this USA e-book, just want to point out that this version of The United States Constitution is not annotated. It does have an excellent live index, very useful.

The United States Constitution ...
This is a very nice copy of a very important document. It is nice to be able to read what was written by our forefathers. It took about an hour to read and will be something to refer to at a later time again and again.
Perhaps more important to read now than ever.
There's not much I can think of to say in review of this. I can say that as things get more and more devisive in American politics, and as certain networks get further and further away from the truth, it is certainly more important than ever to read this. It's not long at all, and while the language can at times be dated (obviously) and at other times be vague (perhaps intentionally so, perhaps not), taking your time to read it and try to understand at least the basic principles of what it says will certainly come in handy the next time you come across someone who claims something is unconstitutional but who hasn't got the slightest idea what the document actually says.
Just downloaded this
This is the only copy of the constitution that is free and contains all the amendments. The amendments are very important.

This version is very interesting, but it has a very annoying feature. The book has hyperlinks to every amendment, which might seem reasonable, but the text highlighted by the hyperlink is so long, that in many occasions, it is very easy to click on them without wanting to, and therefore landing in a place of the document you never wanted to be. Despite the latter, a nice dgital version of the Constitution of the United States.
Important to review occasionally.
In this day and age, I think it is important to occasionally review the Constitution which we are bound to live by.
