Easy identification
This book is perfect for identification. Really easy. It is organized by color of bird and then size. It also reference birds that could be similar and the page they are on.
New Edition
This copy is the new edition of this excellent field guide. It includes I believe five additional birds, if not one or two more. The index, I thought, was better in the earlier edition because it used a larger font and was right at the end of the book. "Stan's Notes" at the end of each page describing a bird are especially useful. This book is a must-have for even the casual birder who lives in the Carolinas.
Exactly what we've been looking
I bought a bird book a few years ago and it had very few NC birds, a disappointment. We have a large variety of birds at our numerous backyard feeders and this book has tons of information. My husband and I both are very pleased with this purchase!
Perfect for quick reference. Beautiful photos
This is exactly what I needed. I'm "interested in birds now years old".
