This book could be a game changer is somebody's life. Priscilla Shirer is a wordsmith who has the ability to see things in Scripture that others do not. As I read the devotions I found myself asking why I didn't see that when I had studied the very same passage. Though this devotion is written with a woman in mind, there were plenty of guyish things for me to glean as a man. My wife, my daughter, and my ministry assistant now have a copy of this book as a result of my reading. Each devotion has a question with it that literally pierces your heart. I don't believe anyone could meditate on the Scriptures given, read and think over the devotional thought, answer the thought provoking question, and remain the same spiritually. This book is a 90 day challenge and it would be well worth the read. These 90 days could change your life forever. I will admit that this was my first Priscilla Shirer book but it will not be my last. BUY THIS BOOK!

There's not enough that I can say about this book that will give it justice. In fact, I can't even think of the right word to put it in perspective. You just need to read it. Priscilla Shirer has allowed God to use her in such a way that is mind boggling. This book has changed my life. I'm at the end with only two days of devotionals left and I'm in tears right now because it has touched my heart and soul that much. I gave copies to my two young adult daughters and I plan to give out more to other women in my family and my girlfriends as gifts. Every woman should own this. I will read this over again and as I do, I will reflect on my notes and enjoy the experience. Get this book, ladies. You won't regret it. It will bless your soul just like it did mine. Oh, and I want to thank Mrs. Shirer for allowing God to use her in this way. I have all of her books and I'm currently reading them. I also watch her bible teaching videos and sermons. I am so grateful for this woman of God.

This new devotional book by Priscilla Shirer is excellent. Each day's writing is short enough to be read in 5-10 minutes, but my favorite part is the space to write. Shirer has provided prompts to engage the text and space to wrestle and think. Highly recommend. Makes a great gift.

Bought this book with an eagerness to read but when I opened the book and defund reading there were so many pages missing I was very disappointed! How can you sell a book without going through it and making sure all the pages are there?!!

Wow. Wow. Wow. Honestly, don’t know where I would be without this devotional. Life changing. Earth shaking word. Even right now after a week of being done reading through it I had to pick it up again. It pulled things out of me that I didn’t know where there. Just get it. I promise you wont regret it. All I ask is that you are honest with yourself.

It took me TWO WHOLE DAYS to write all of my favorite quotes from Awaken. God used this book to help me when I needed it with exactly the words I needed. I recommend this 90-day devotional to anyone who is struggling to hear God’s voice in transition. We don’t need to do great things for God; He has already done great things for us!

I have a schedule that leaves almost no spare time most days. So it's been hard to stay with a daily devotional. But each devotional in this book is just 2 pages, with several applicable scriptures and room to write reflections. And each topic has been VERY inspiring - something to reflect on throughout the rest of the day. This has been my favorite devotional book so far!

I look forward to reading this devotional book from an unquestionably talented author. I find it odd that I received two copies of this book, though, when I believe that I only ordered one. If the additional copy cannot be returned, I'll be sharing it with a friend. I appreciate Elizabeth Shirer's insights as I skim through the book. I stopped about halfway through to appreciate her encouragement to persevere in the "In Between" times - bolstered by what God has done and anticipating what God will do. The "plodding through the wilderness" can be a challenging time. Thank God for those who understand and seek to encourage during the dry times.

I don’t normally do devotionals but decided to give this a try- it is a great resource. I do this and spend a few minutes in prayer before I really leave my room in the morning, and it helps keep me focused. Priscilla Shirer is an amazing author and speaker- she teaches God’s truths very well in easy to understand ways. I am glad I decided to purchase this book! The topics vary and are helpful for growing in your walk with God and getting to know Him better each day. It isn’t the only bible or prayer time I have in the least, but it does help get my day flowing the right way.

I have used this book everyday since I’ve gotten it. I base my daily devotional on this book. It gives a great start to your day with a message, scriptures, and pages to respond to questions based on each message. Would highly recommend

"Awaken" was a tool that I was able to use to assist me in my study of God's word. During my 90 day journey, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, had a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, blessed a friend with my tickets to the "She Rises" Women's Conference and received a "CLEAR" report. God says in Zephaniah 3:18 (CEV) The Lord has promised: my sorrow has ended, and I can celebrate.🎉 Thank You JESUS!!! And, Thank you Priscilla Shirer for a beautifully written book.

The book cover was filthy looking and grimy, and the book smelled really bad. The book was described by the seller as “Used-Like New” condition which is very far from the truth. Such a shame. I was looking forward to reading it but I don’t even want to touch it. I’ve purchased used books before and never had a problem with such gross misrepresentation of the product. Will purchase it from a better source.

If you are looking for a 90 day devotional that will let you off the hook and check a box each day, this isn't it. If you are looking for an opportunity to be challenged, reflective and grow...this is a great one. I have thoroughly enjoyed each day of this devotional and I am always eager to read the next one. Also, because of the way each day is written, I feel I could pick this devotional up at another point in time and get a whole new layer from it all over again. I have this in Kindle format, but know others who have it in print and love it just as much.

This book is so was biblical as well as practical. Showing how we can use the word in everyday life. This book has a script ties on each page to back up the devotion. The devotion is only 2 pages and the third page is a question helping you think how to actively put what you read into action. I would recommend this book to anyone and I have. I am in a zoom bible study and I brought up things I read in this book to what we were talking about.

Everytime I picked up this book I looked forward to hearing from God through the practical teaching of His word for our so-called modern times. The questions at the end of each chapter are meant to cause one to pause and apply to current situations or make note for the future and want to be a better person for God's glory. Often times the day's lesson was just what I needed and I thanked God for being my provider.

This is my 3rd Priscilla Shirer bible study/devotional and she never disappoints. Every time I open this book I feel like I'm having a conversation with a life long, encouraging friend! She has an amazing understanding of the bible and an ability to open your heart to God's word in a whole new way.

This book has helped me through so much during the COVID isolation. Through this book, the Lord has shown me a lot about myself and the self-reflection has healed a number of areas. The book gives two pages of discussion (which seemed to be very timely for me) followed by two pages for journaling and a scripture to reflect on. I'm anxious to go back to read it to see what the Lord did for me during these times. I was blessed with this book as a gift, so I bought it for friends, too, hoping to bless them as well. You will be pleasantly surprised to see how the Lord opens your eyes about yourself when you go through this book! You'll love it, too!

Awaken is a wonderful devotional filled with spiritual insight from Priscilla Shirer. I love that there is room to journal your thoughts or pour out your heart each day. Awaken is sure to be one of my favorites!

This devotional book is excellent. Young women or older women...men too, no matter how new or seasoned you are in a daily quiet time or deep Bible study, this 90 day devotional is refreshing. Most days I read the one chapter of the Bible the devotional is based in and the 2 page devotional Priscilla wrote and then write, pray and meditate for quite awhile about it. Priscilla just has a way of reminding my heart of what my mind already knows in this easy to read book. I find myself flipping back to read past days often. I read it for just 5 days and then ordered several copies for gifts.

While it took me almost 8 months (instead of 90 days) to finish this book, each page turned in this devotional was right on time. With each page turned the words, reminders, pictures painted, examples used were all so purpose filled. I believe if you read this with a lens and a heart to seek true change in your life, you will receive just that. If you're looking for a true experience with the One True God, Priscilla will 100% help you awaken your heart to connect with the One who awakened and created you.

So this review may be a little too soon considering I've only owned it for 4 hours 😆. But I completed day 1 and 2 and it has really got me thinking and praying. Already! I want to complete more days, but I know I need to pace myself :) I probably have a dozen devotional books, but I have a feeling this will be one of my favorites. Sidenote: I adore Priscilla Shirer.

Super devotional. Her writing is fantastic and thought provoking. I get so much out of it every time I read it. A devotional that speaks God's message to anyone who is looking for Him.

I stumbled upon Priscilla on TV last one night early last week and was very impressed. I've been asking My Lord for help in understanding more of his works, and this popped up the very next day. I did this devotional book with a group. We were all impressed with how well the author was able to tie in daily anecdotes with God's word. We had a lot of eye-opening experiences. Personally, I was so impressed with her writing skills and likeable phrasing, I'm going to look for more of her stuff.

I love all of Priscilla Shirer's work. This devotional is inspiring. It's thought-provoking. And it's personal. She brings biblical passages alive in a way that reading on my own doesn't do. If you are wanting to go deeply into the word and deepen your spiritual practice, this book will help.

Choosing a devotional like this is incredibly personal. This one fits me so wonderfully. I look for a personable and encouraging narrative that can be related to the Bible, but without a heavy dose of preaching. It talks about real world feelings, with a prompt that is somehow always relevant to the day. Each entry is not even two pages - quickly digestible and sets your mind on the day ahead of you. This feels like sitting down to have a coffee and a chat with a great friend, and I get the feeling Priscilla Shirer is a beautiful and kind human being.

This is the best devotional book I have ever had it will give you a new Look on life. Start the day out with a fresh start and words of wisdom from a very wise woman if God.

I ordered 3 of these! A fourth is on back order at my local Bible book store. This is an amazing book! I carry it everywhere I go even if to just review devotions I've previously done for review. A total stranger walked up to me at the docs office and asked how I liked it bc she'd been thinking about getting it. I told her I love it! She said she was ordering hers asap. I ordered one as a surprise for my friend for a bday gift. When she received it in the mail she was overjoyed.... as she'd just downloaded a sample of the book the night before! This book very practical for our everyday life but challenges me to look at things God's way more deeply. Get the book- you'll see!

This devotional awaking me too I just have not experienced God to the point of blinding me to the way of this world so that I remain in the ways of God this book was excellent for down time with God it reached into my spirit and begin transforming me from the inside out there is nothing I dislike about this book anyone and everyone I come across I will recommend this book for Spiritual healing to the soul

I have a book club and God has me to journey for 99 days with them. Each day we meet via FB Live and I shared or 2 other Pastors that join me shared and the testimonies received was a bless. This book is amazing and a must read. It will awaken what God need you to see, hear, and do. I would encourage you to take this journey alone or with a group but either way you will be blessed. Loving this book. The one thing most devotionals lack is a daily scripture reading that accompanies the devotion. She does give great scripture verses that correlate, and her writing is deep and meaningful.

I'm 5 days in. Each and every day has inspired me in one way or another. I look forward to what's coming for the next 85 days.

The biblical insight and application she pulls from Scripture is amazing. I just finished going through it on my Kindle and ordered the leather version to go through it again on paper and deeper. I also ordered the leather versions for both of my grown daughters. Life and outlook changer. Comforting to be reminded of all the Lord is and can do with such clarity.

This is so good to read each day. Shirer has good, godly teaching from the Lord and she explains things so well.

I'm enjoying the Awaken devotional book by Priscilla Shirer in a small online Bible study everyday. It's a short and easy to follow devotional that includes a page for journaling. I highly recommend this devotional for anyone who is looking for an inspirational Bible study with interesting applications. As with other Priscilla Shirer's Bible studies, she has done thorough research into the topics.

Love this book! It is a quick read each morning to start your day off right. (Although it can be read any time of day)There is a journal space after each devotion for you to jot down thoughts afterwards.

This devotional was exactly what I needed at this point in my life. I have enjoyed every morning spent in the Word and with Him using this book as a tool to start my day. It covers some of the most basic things I overlook as a Christian to helping me re-focus on my path as an adult.

This is an excellent devotional book, very inspiring and challenging . I love how Priscilla packs each devotion with scripture and insights. I love this book! Not only do you get your daily devotion but you also get to journal, answer some hard, some easy questions about yourself and life. It really helps you reflect on everything in your life and shows you the areas you need more of Gods mercy and help in.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this devotional. Being a mother with two small children, this devotional allowed me to get in a great devotional in a short period of time. I have recommended this to many friends!

I enjoy listening to Priscilla Shirer preach. She’s powerful, authentic, and compassionate. Her book is the same. I have not completed the full 90 days but each devotion is impacting. I don’t think I’ll finish the book in 90 days because I find myself spending a little long on certain day. The reflection makes me want to ponder a little longer. Good stuff!

I had purchased my copy for a study with a large group of ladies via Zoom. I enjoyed the book so much, that I purchased two additional copies to give to family members. One texted me that she has been enjoying the book and the insight from the author. Very well-written and easy to chunk out daily devotionals which take minimal time, but provide "aha" moments.

Love that there are extra scriptures included. Take time to sit and think about what you've read each day. I often come back to it throughout the day. If you miss a day, don't worry, keep going. I love this so much.

At first glance, this book is intriguing. Since I've gotten it, I'm 16 days into a 90-day devotional. I'm somewhat disappointed at the lack of scripture. This particular devotional doesn't have you dive into the word each day, that's a downer for me. However, it does give you daily prompts and a section to journal or jot down your thoughts each day. I like that!

Devotions are the perfect length for w he en I only have a small amount of time for reading. They challenge me to go deeper in my spiritual walk.

I am a mom of three little ones. This devotional was perfect for me because it is short enough that I can still fit it in every day but also has very powerful words. The questions at the end help to get me thinking about what I need to focus on to change in my life.

This is one of the best devotionals that I have ever used. Priscilla combines her own experiences, biblical character experiences and more and builds on them in order to help us see the amazement of God.

I usually struggle with doing devotions because they tend to be very generic in content, meaning, they take a scripture, explain it, then tell you to write about it. This 90 day devotional actually inspires me to WANT to get up and go through it each morning--I genuinely look forward to it each morning. Thank you for this one, Mrs. Shirer! :)

I enjoy reading this book every morning to start my day off. This is my 3rd book from Priscilla and I’m so glad that I’ve found her as an author.

This book is on a relative's Christmas list, it arrived yesterday and is a beautiful presentation of scripture, meaning and a page to make notes in every category. I think I will get one for us as well.

This is the most wonderful devotional I've ever read. Priscilla's knowledge of the word and her writing style is excellent. She draws you in with her life stories. Our church purchased this for each woman attending our retreat and they loved them! This will affect your life and draw you closer to God. I hope Priscilla writes another.

My husband and I read a devotion from this book every morning before he left for work, and we were both amazed at how much it spoke to our current circumstances and reminded us how much God knows and how much He cares. We will read through it again!

I recommend this reading as I did so with 3 girlfriends, beginning Oct 2016. We laughed, cried and discussed various days that touched us and that we related to. Pricilla’s thoughtful insight and spiritual candor were a blessing and exactly how I wanted to enter 2018.

I am a true fan of her writing. She is a wonderful story teller and teacher of the word of God. I always come away thoughtful of what I had read.

I needed something to help me get back on track with intentionally devoting morning time with God. This devotional met the mark. It is a pointed yet compassionate challenge to our preconceived notion of who God is and who we are in Him. I was awakened to experience God in an open, unreserved, unabashedly truthful way- and to leave behind the limits I had placed on Him... I will be reading this again.

Awaken is one of the most enlightening Christian books I've read. Priscilla's writing is honest, humorous, and causes me to be still before our awesome God. It's well written and gives space for personal reflection and journaling. I don't often reread books, but this is none that I will revisit for years to come.

As much as I enjoyed reading Awaken, I want to do my own personal study time with God. I think that is Shirer's point and, for me, I can't wait to get started!
