NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Mrs. Miracle shows an ordinary family that they are blessed beyond belief in this uplifting holiday tale from Debbie Macomber, the queen of Christmas stories.

As the holiday season begins, Laurel McCullough could use some good news. She and her husband, Zach, have been praying for a baby that seems more and more like an impossible dream, and they’ve had to move in with her beloved grandmother, Helen, who’s having trouble taking care of herself. But when Laurel contacts a local home-care organization for help, there are no caregivers available.

Then Mrs. Miracle appears at the door. No stranger to lending a helping hand to a family in need, Mrs. Miracle reveals herself to be nothing short of a godsend. Helen’s even convinced she’s an angel! And Laurel can’t help but notice that with Mrs. Miracle’s companionship, Helen is noticeably happier and more engaged, decorating the family Christmas tree and setting up the nativity. In the meantime, Laurel and Zach encounter curious signs, all pointing toward the arrival of a special baby.

As Christmas approaches, there appears to be even more to Mrs. Miracle than meets the eye. In a classic tale of Debbie Macomber’s signature seasonal magic, Laurel, Zach, and Helen experience a holiday of heavenly proportions.

What a happy and blessed story.

This book has all the qualities of a wonderful feel good magical holiday story. The author made me feel like I was a member of the family immersed in their lives and seeing how their love for each other played out. It evoked many memories of happy Christmases in my past with my family members and reminded me how blessed I am to have been given the opportunity to adopt a beautiful daughter. I read this in 2 sittings and was happy with the ending. Read this story to brighten your holidays. You will love it.

Cute!

While Laurel and Zach McCullough are happily married, there is one thing they want but can’t have – a baby. Laurel is unable to conceive and after an attempt at adoption fails miserably, she no longer want to try even if Zach hasn’t quite given up. Laurel has another worry on her mind – her beloved grandmother is becoming forgetful and unable to care for herself. When the aptly named Mrs. Miracle shows up at their door to help as caregiver she seems to be the answer to their prayers. Little do Laurel and Zach realize that by Christmas another one of their prayers will be answered. “A Mrs. Miracle Christmas” is another cute Christmas novel from the always delightful Debbie Macomber. Macomber has a wonderful gift for mixing serious issues (Laurel and Zach’s inability to have a child and Nana’s declining health) with the whimsical (Mrs. Miracle and a quick visit from some of her Angel friends) and making it work. Laurel and Zach’s story is realistically done and at times heartbreaking but it never overwhelms the story to the point that it is hard to read. Nana’s story is also well done and I just loved her interactions with Mrs. Miracle. Speaking of Mrs. Miracle, this is not the first book Debbie Macomber has used her in and I was delighted to learn she was returning – she is by far my favorite Macomber character. Her appearance and that of some of her angelic friends adds a nice of Christmas magic to the book. The ending of the book is delightful although you probably don’t want to think too much about it. “A Mrs. Miracle Christmas” is another cute holiday novel by Debbie Macomber.

Heartwarming

Macomber delivers a beautiful, Christmas story full of hope and miracles. A young couple has given up on having a family after heart wrenching experiences. A grandmother is slowly losing her mental faculties. Enter Mrs. Miracle, who is a care giving angel. The Family responds to her ministrations and a much awaited arrival is on her way. This is a feel good story set in a season of hope and renewal. Thanks to NetGalley for the advance read.

A great Christmas story

This is the first Debbie Macomber book I have read, but I have seen several of the movies based on her books. This is a book that you don't want to put down. I feel like I was a part of the story. Loved it.

Improbably Delightful

Warm hearted cozy read. Mrs. Miracle is back in action. This a story of a young couple struggling to become parents. They live with the wife's Nana. Nana is slowly losing her mental and physical capabilities. The couple realized they need assistance during the day to help with Nana. They call the Caring Angel home services and shortly thereafter Mrs. Miracle shows up on their doorstep. Keep your eyes open for angels.

Lacks the charm of the original novel

I am not going to say that I didn't enjoy the book in the sense of finding it a welcome distraction. But I really felt like the charm of the original story about Mrs. Miracle was missing. It felt like the author found it a chore to write rather than a story she wanted to tell. I love the idea of Mrs. Miracle, but if the author writes more about her and I hope she does, maybe she could review what made the first novel so charming.

Perfect Christmas miracle story

Do you ever read the perfect book at just the right time in your life? A Mrs. Miracle Christmas was that book for me. It’s beautiful, it’s magical, it’s a belief in higher powers, and it’s about a topic near and dear to my heart - adoption. This book is beautiful written and I would love to shove it in the hands of everyone but because of the subject matter it could trigger some sad feelings -especially this time of year. This is an easy 5 stars from me and if you are in the right head space, I highly recommend it.

A beautiful Christmas story

What a beautiful story. So many couples struggle with infertility. It was heartbreaking to watch Laurel and Zach struggling, and yet exciting to watch God answer their prayer. I loved how Mrs. Miracle became a companion to Laurel’s grandmother allowing Nana to have a front row seat to see God work. A wonderful Christmas story.

My love of angels

I absolutely believe in angels as I gave had some experiences with. This book brought out such wonderful love for angels. I have a Truly believed in Shirley, Goodness and Mercy and Mrs. Miracle. You have to have faith not doubt and Laurel finally got. Once you gave heartache you don’t want to believe but there is always some one whether real, imagination, belief and faith that will always be there to help you out. Believe

Believe

Christmas with Debbie McComber

Loved this book. Her characters are always memorable and a must read to give extra Christmas joy!

Perfect read for the Christmas season

I read it in one night as I couldn't put it down. I love Debbie Unabomber as she is one of my favorites authors. I get so engrossed in her books. I was glad to read another installment of her Mrs miracle books and it didn't dissappoint.

A Mrs. Miracle Christmas

I love the angel books. I can't wait until the next one. They make you feel so warm and fuzzy.

Heartwarming

I have been a die hard Debbie Macomber fan for years. Really love her Christmas stories the best. Never disappointed

Christmas spirit in a wonderful story!

Absolutely charming and emotionally provoking story. Full of angst and love. Add Mrs Miracle with a visit from Shirley, Goodness and Mercy and you can not lose! Christmas at its best!

Beautiful Story

I loved this story. It showed a lot of emotions and also to have faith. I hope they make this into a movie. I love Mrs. Miracle.

Hello again

I have always loved Debbie Macomber books. This one effected me in a different way though. Have me lots to ponder, probably because I have gotten older myself and could relate to Nana in a lot of ways.

Another mrs miracle story!

This is a beautiful heartwarming story that fills your heart with hope. I loved the way Shirley,Goodness and Mercy were included in the story. I would love to see this as a movie so more could enjoy it? Love the Mrs. Miracle stories. Looking forward to next year`story!

Debbie McComber book review

Again a great one for Debbie McComber! Puts me in the Christmas spirit!!

Mrs Miracle, Absolutely delightful!

Seriously just when you think one of the Christmas Miracle books couldn’t get better, Debbie comes out with a new one to keep you glued until the last word. Sincere thanks Debbie! Jo Marie Maederer

Angels everywhere

I love Debbie's angel series, but this last one was really good. Her angels are mischievous, but caring. You'll never know when they will pop up, but always at the right time.

What a Great Book

This was truly a very emotional book. I definitely believe that God sends angels into our everyday life!! It may be a neighbor, a new or old friend.... or just anyone. They are sent in a time of a great need!! They are there to help us during a crisis or just because He knows we need someone at that time!! Mrs. Miracle was definitely one of those angels!!

Great storyline

Delightful read... good storyline.. enjoyable!!

Very good book.

I like Debbie Macomber books.

A Mrs. Miracle Christmas

I always enjoyed the Christmas story including Mrs. Miracle and the Angels. The warmth and family love, they installed. Most of all the magic of Christmas.

Mrs. Miracle at her Christmas best!

What can be better than a Deborah Macomber book about Mrs. Miracle at Christmas time??? Not much except that book has Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy to help her out! Merry Christmas!

Great reminder of our blessings during a year of Covid

What a fantastic book. It takes you on a journey of loss, love, faith and blessings. What a great reminder to take a look at your blessings and know you are surrounded by a higher power.

Loved it!

Loved this as I do every book by Debbie Macomber. I love reading the Mrs. Miracle books especially around Christmas time. It won't disappoint.

Finding joy in the everyday details of life

What an excellent heartfelt easy read! Right from the start I was immediately drawn into the lives of Laurel, Zack and Helen. If you need some joy, a bit of laughter or a soft place to land for a while, this book is a great place to start!!

Great Christmas story

It was a sweet story of a young couple heart ache fill with happiness. Whether you believe or don’t believe in angels, a quick fun read.

Romance book

Boring and formulaic, not up to the usual standards. I gave it to the library as soon as I finished it, instead of saving it to read again next year.

Very good light reading

Characters were so believable. Couldn't help loving Nana and Mrs Miracle. Great story line and loved how this story ended.

If you are looking for a beautiful, heartwarming story, you'll find it in this book.

I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!! Debbie is a beautiful author and has a wonderful way of telling her stories. She is one if my top authors❤

Lovely story

I would love to see this in a movie. I wish there had been just a little bit more meat to the subject but it was still a well written book and I enjoyed reading it.

Great Christmas book to read

What a wonderful read. Well paced and good character development.

Very sweet novel

Enjoyed this book very much. Just wish the wife wasn’t written as so much obsessed about her problem. Otherwise it was a really good read and I look forward to reading the other books in the series.

Good book

I bought this for a friend of mine, she seemed to enjoy the book

Enjoy the reading.

Trying to get back to reading and enjoy Debbie Macomber’s books.

I enjoyed this series of Mrs. Miracle. It was actually personally applicable; I had a close friend who was experiencing all the same issues in her life so it was almost a “God Only” moment as I read the book. I recommended to her next.

Believe

This is an easy 5 stars from me and if you are in the right head space, I highly recommend it.

A beautiful Christmas story

What a beautiful story. So many couples struggle with infertility. It was heartbreaking to watch Laurel and Zach struggling, and yet exciting to watch God answer their prayer. I loved how Mrs. Miracle became a companion to Laurel’s grandmother allowing Nana to have a front row seat to see God work. A wonderful Christmas story.

A Mrs. Miracle Christmas:by Debbie Macomber

A Mrs. Miracle Christmas:by Debbie Macomber Mrs. Miracle shows an ordinary family that they are blessed beyond belief in this uplifting holiday tale from #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber. This is Laurel McCullough her husband, Zach's story. This is Laurel beloved grandmother, Helen's story. Laurel McCullough arrived home to find two police cruisers parked in the driveway with their lights flashing. If that wasn’t enough to get her heart racing, it was seeing her grandmother on the front porch, clearly distressed, wringing her hands and looking around anxiously. Laurel slammed her vehicle into park and leaped out of her car, nearly stumbling in her eagerness to find out what had happened. “Nana,” she cried, rushing toward her grandmother. Laurel’s brain raced with how best to deal with this latest situation. Last week, her grandmother had lost her way in the neighborhood, the very one she’d lived in for more than fifty years. Nana had gone out to collect the mail and noticed that the neighbor’s new puppy, Browser, had escaped his yard. She’d followed him to try to bring him back and hadn’t been able to find her way home. Eventually, the neighbor had found the puppy, along with Helen, and had brought Laurel’s visibly upset grandmother back home with her. Nana looked pale and frightened. “The doctor said that would happen, didn’t he? Me getting more and more confused? Wasn’t it only last week when I got lost? Laurel nodded. The dementia had become significantly worse over the last several months. It was at the point that she didn’t feel comfortable leaving her grandmother alone. But what choice did she have? Their financial resources were tight. All she could do was pray that she and Zach, her husband, could come up with a way to manage these new issues that Nana was having. I highly recommend reading. Unabashedly Sentimental and Touching

In A Mrs. Miracle Christmas, Debbie Macomber shows off her amazing talent by taking what could be just a sweet, sentimental and somewhat predictable story and turning it into a heartwarming novel that brought tears to this reader’s eyes. A Christmas story in the truest sense of the word and brimming with words of faith, A Mrs. Miracle Christmas is the story about a family in crisis. Laurel and Zach have come to live with her grandmother, Helen, who is afflicted with increasingly worse dementia. Laurel and Zach are also dealing with their inability to have a child, whether naturally, through IVF or adoption. Laurel’s faith is strained and the additional burden of dealing with her grandmother’s illness has her nearly to the breaking point. Laurel is a complex and good person. She was raised by her grandmother and late grandfather after her own mother was killed when she was ten. She loves her grandmother and is happy to do everything she can for her, but she is nearly at the end of her tether. Zach is a wonderful man who loves Helen, or Nana as Laurel calls her, very much. He is very supportive of both Laurel and Helen. The story occurs in the weeks approaching Christmas. When all seems bleakest, Mrs. Miracle appears, claiming to be from the Caring Angels, an agency that provides caregivers. Laurel and Zach take her story at face value. In reality, Mrs. Miracle (aka, Mrs. Merkel) truly is an angel, something that she makes no effort to hide from Helen. With Mrs. Miracle watching out for Helen during the day and, indeed, helping her bounce back in many ways just by keeping her active and engaged, Laurel and Zach are able to address issues in their relationship. To no one’s surprise, the book has a joyous ending. This is a wonderful book to read as the holidays approach. It holds no surprises but that is immaterial as it warms the heart and reminds readers what Christmas and the spirit of the holidays is all about. I highly recommend this book for those who enjoy feel good, relationship based books, If one is offended by overt mentions of church and faith, then keep that in mind before purchasing. I thought it was tasteful and in keeping with the holiday spirit. Four stars. I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated nor required to write a positive review. The opinions stated are solely my own.

What an incredible story!

What an incredible story! If I could give this book 10 stars, I would. When I started this book, I figured I would read a few chapters and stretch it through the next couple days. That did not happen. I ended up reading it in less than 5 hours. I could not put it down. This story brought tears to my eyes right from the beginning. I don't think I had even hit page 2 yet and already my eyes were watering, and by the end of the book, I had went through a half of box of tissues. It's been a long time since I've read a book that has affected me like this. Laurel and Zach have had trouble conceiving a child. Nothing they have tried has worked for them and the one time they fostered a little boy in the hopes of adopting, it didn't turn out like they had hoped it would. It has left them hurt and frustrated with no faith in sight. When Laurel's grandmother who they live with is diagnosed with Dementia and has a few scary episodes, they realize they need someone to stay with her while they are at work. There's just one problem, there's no available caregivers at this time. Then like a gift straight from God, Mrs. Miracle shows up at their door. This was the perfect holiday story. It was an emotionally heartwarming tale about love, faith and never giving up hope. It reminded me that God is watching us, that he does hear our prayers and no matter how bad things get, just keep having faith that they will get better. * ARC provided by NetGalley & Ballantine Books for an honest review *

Thanks to NetGalley for the advance read.

wonderful read, with a sweet christmas background.

A Mrs. Miracle Christmas by Debbie Macomber is another one of her heartwarming, sweet Christmas stories. Those who read Macomber are aware of who Mrs. Miracle is, as there have been books on the wonderful Mrs. Miracle and well as Hallmark movies. We meet Laurel McCullough, who is an elementary school teacher, and her husband, Zach, who have been trying to adopt a child, and suffered a big loss, when they succeeded to foster and adopt a son, only to lose him when the father of the child claimed him in the final days of the adoption. Being heartbroken, Laurel does not want to go through the pain again; but Zach still does not want to give up hope.Laurel has lived with her grandmother, Helen, since she was 10 and when she married Zach, they had Helen move in with them. Slowly, Helen begins to get confused or forgets things, as she is in the start of dementia, and when one day she gets lost, Laurel decides its time to get help from a caregiver, during the hours she is at work. When no one is available until after the Christmas holidays, Laurel is shocked when Mrs. Miracle shows up at the door step saying she is a last-minute availability and would love to help. Helen and Mrs. Miracle get along fabulously, and in a short time Mrs. Miracle is telling her stories about being an angel, her friends in heaven, and how she reports to Gabriel. Mrs. Miracle also reveals to Helen that a baby will become part of their lives in the near future. It doesn’t take long for Helen to believe everything, but knows she needs not tell too much to Laurel or Zach, as they would not believe a word of it.What follows is a heartwarming & enjoyable story that pulls on your emotions, as we also get to see the grief and despair that Laurel and Zach suffer through; but their love is strong enough to be willing give up trying to adopt, as long as they have each other. Macomber touches base on emotional themes such as, infertily, adoption, foster care, as well as dementia. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas was a wonderful read, with a Christmas background and a great cast of characters. It certainly felt like Christmas and believing in miracles.

Christmas Story

This is a Christmas tale extraordinaire. Laurel McCullough and her husband Zach are trying to cope with their lives as they are. Laurel teaches in a near-by elementary school, while Zach works in IT at Amazon. When they married, they both wanted a family, but have found through in vitro and an adoption gone bad that this is probably not going to happen. Still, the idea of a baby is Laurel’s fondest wish, though she has banished all talk of children from the household because it is too upsetting. In addition, Laurel’s beloved grandmother, Helen, is showing signs of onset dementia. Because of this and because the in vitro costs stretched Laurel’s and Zach’s budget almost to breaking, the couple have moved into Helen’s house to be with and care for Helen while saving some money. In comes Mrs. Miracle. When Helen’s condition shows signs of worsening, Mrs. Miracle, ostensibly from a local home care organization, shows up on their doorstep, and things begin to take a turn for the better. Helen’s condition improves. The thought of a baby become real again. The whole household falls quickly under the spell of this magnificent angel/care giver. This is a real holiday story. The setting is perfect. The characters, each with their own needs and agendas are perfect. Mrs. Miracle’s appearance in their time of need is perfect. My only problem, if there was one, is that a lot of the story stretches the imagination. Things just go too well, with every wish, prayer or thought answered just the right way. Still, this is a holiday feel-good story, and it definitely gives the reader a good picture of everything going the right way—almost too good to be true. If the reader is looking for a sweet, perfect holiday read to get him or her into the mood or if the reader enjoys the author’s books and style of writing, this is the ideal book for you. I received this from NetGalley to read and review.

Angels pose as humans to fill a prayer

"A Mrs. Miracle Christmas" is a Christmas novel. It's the eleventh book in a series, but it can be read as a standalone. Angels come (some in human form) to fulfill the prayers of Helen about Laurel and Zach having a baby. The main angel, Merkel, arrives to be Helen's caretaker for a few weeks. She lets Helen know that she's an angel and that her prayers about a baby will come true in the next few weeks. Laurel has lost faith in God due to the disappointments they've faced, and she refuses to talk about trying again to adopt a baby. Zach still believes they could adopt a baby someday, and he knows how happy that would make Laurel. Laurel is heartbroken and angry that Zach still wants a child, and she feels that Zach must want a baby more than her. The characters reacted realistically to events, and I cared about what happened to them. Fans of angels-posing-as-humans-and-manipulating/guiding-humans stories will probably like this one a lot since the characters and their struggles were well-written. But the angels made mistakes, and it's implied that it's left up to the angels to figure out what to do to guide the humans to their happy ending. The angel and Helen talked about heaven and angels, but little of the angel's claims were actually from the Bible. (Though some of this is filling in fiction where the Bible doesn't specifically say something.) There was no sex or bad language. I'd recommend this novel to fans of feel-good Christmas stories. I received a review copy of this book from the publisher.

Christmas Hopes and Dreams

Lindas Book Obsession Reviews "A Mrs. Miracle Christmas" by Debbie Macomber, November 2019, Arrow Debbie Macomber has written a magical, feel-good, witty, and heartfelt holiday seasonal story. The Genres for this story are Fiction, Women's Fiction, with a dash of Magical Realism. There is also some humor. The timeline for this story is set in the present and goes to the past when it pertains to the characters or events in the story, as well as the future. The author describes her characters as likable, each with their own set of problems, quirky and hopeful. Laurel and her husband Zach have tried everything they can do to have a baby, with no success. The adoption agencies have been very disappointing. They move in with Laurel's grandmother Helen, who has started to become forgetful and have a loss of memory. When Laurel calls an agency for someone to help Helen, she is told she will have to wait until after the holiday. The next morning, a caretaker by the name of Mrs. Miracle arrives to help Helen. Mrs. Miracle seems to be more than the usual caretaker or nurse. Actually, there are times Mrs. Miracle's name seems to suit her very well. While reading this story I somehow had thoughts of certain parts of the movie, "It's A Wonderful Life" Debbie Macomber has a way of making me feel that I am drinking hot chocolate, sitting in front of the fireplace, listening to Christmas music. I have visions of Christmas trees, and white snowflakes elegantly falling. I love the way the author vividly describes the characters, the events and the season. The author discusses important issues as Alzheimers and dementia, infertility and options, the importance of family, friends, love, and hope. This is the first book in the series that I have read, and I would highly recommend this to readers who enjoy a feelgood book with a pretty much happily ever after.

Beautiful and heartwarming holiday novel!

It is that time of year when Debbie Macomber releases her holiday novel, and this year we are in for a very special treat. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas reunites us with the beloved Mrs. Miracle, as well as Shirley, Goodness and Mercy...all characters that fans fell in love with from previous holiday novels. Laurel and Zach have endured more than most couples. The one thing they want more than anything is a child of their own. After several failed attempts, they tried adoption. They were blessed with a little boy that they fell in love with, but later he was taken away and given back to his biological family. The hurt and pain was just too much to bear, and Laurel has lost faith in ever having a child to love. Zach, on the other hand, still holds out hope that they will have a child someday. In addition to the stress of not being able to have children, Laurel and Zach have to contend with Laurel's grandmother, Helen (Nana). Helen's health is rapidly declining, and they need to make a decision on what to do about Helen while they are both at work. Laurel contacts Caring Angels, a local organization of caregivers, but is told with the busy holiday season, none are available. However, Mrs. Miracle magically appears at their door, and they are told she has been sent by Caring Angels. Laurel and Zach never question her mysterious arrival, and both are thrilled when Helen and Mrs. Miracle immediately hit it off. As the days turn into weeks, they notice a definite improvement with Helen, but yet they notice other changes as well. Helen is convinced that Mrs. Miracle is an actual angel, and initially they decide their is no harm in letting Helen think that. However, they begin to notice other things...strange things...that cannot be explained. Mrs. Miracle seems to know too much personal information about them, and something is not adding up. Zach is especially suspicious when in addition to that, he starts receiving signs suggesting that a baby is in their future. Is it just wishful thinking, or have his prayers been heard? As the story unfolds, we see the bond between Helen and Mrs. Miracle grow even stronger, and the two women develop an amazing friendship. Mrs. Miracle shares a secret with Helen...one that will change everything. Zach is also harboring a huge secret, one that will be devastating for Laurel if she finds out about it. Will both secrets finally be revealed? You will have to read the book to find out. The story that unfolds is truly a heartwarming and beautifully written story with an amazing cast of characters. I love the return of Mrs. Miracle, as well as Shirley, Goodness and Mercy. Mrs. Miracle is a character that always offers hope, even in situations when all faith seems to be lost. Of course, Shirley, Goodness and Mercy are the three angels that fans of Debbie Macomber have always loved...especially since their determination to answer prayers are not always done in a conventional way. Laurel is a woman suffering from the heartbreak of not being able to have a child, and her faith has been diminished. Zach, unlike Laurel, has not lost his faith, and truly feels that his prayers will be answered. Mrs. Miracle, once again, is the perfect one to show us all that anything is possible if you just believe! I would like to thank Debbie Macomber and Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine for allowing me the opportunity to read and review this book. My views are my own, and are in no way influenced by anyone else.

Mrs. Miracle is back!

A Mrs. Miracle Christmas by Debbie Macomber is touching Christmas story. I began reading it and did not stop until I finished. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas has Debbie Macomber’s delightful writing which drew me right in. Her characters are developed, and the story moved along at a steady pace. Mrs. Miracle is sent by Gabriel to help Helen, Laurel and Zach. Helen has been praying for her granddaughter who has lost faith as well as hope after failed IVF treatments and an unsuccessful adoption. Zach still has hope, but he is not the praying type. Helen, Laurel’s grandmother, has dementia and her life has shrunk to the point where she sits in a chair trying to knit and watching television. With Mrs. Miracle taking care of Helen, her life expands. Helen finds new activities and new friends with her favorite being the kindly Mrs. Miracle. I thought Laurel and Zach’s struggles were realistic. I could feel their turmoil and sadness. There are some bright moments for the couple along with angelic guidance. There were humorous scenes that had me laughing out loud. I especially enjoyed Mrs. Miracle mentioning her friends, Shirley, Goodness and Mercy. Mrs. Miracle enlists their assistance for a job or two. I like the inclusion of this segment of the Twenty-Third Psalm, “Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life.” We see how important it is to never lose hope or faith. God does listen to our prayers and He answers them in His own way and when He feels it is time. We need to remember that patience is a virtue (like Mrs. Miracle, I struggle with this one). It also tells us that we should be grateful for what we do have instead of what we do not have. I am guilty of this as well. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas is a heartwarming Christmas tale that will lift your spirits and touch your heart. I was happy for the epilogue that beautifully wrapped up this touching tale. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas is an uplifting story with heavenly help, grandmotherly guidance, holiday happenings, a spirited Christmas Eve service and the mysterious Mrs. Miracle. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book. I am not required to leave a review. The comments and opinions expressed are strictly my own.

Mrs. Miracle is a Christmas tradition!

Mrs. Miracle is a Christmas tradition and I was thrilled to get to read this beautiful, miraculous story! ’It was the season, after all, and this year, for sure. The season of miracles.’ Disappointment after disappointment in conceiving or adopting a child has left Laurel with a lack of faith. She’s resigned herself to being childless and thought her husband, Zach, had done the same. With the diminishing health of her Nana also weighing her down, they are thrilled when Mrs. Miracle arrives to help with Nana’s daily care. But when Laurel realizes that Zach hasn’t completely let go of the longing for a child, their marriage ends up on shaky ground. This was such a heartwarming story. I loved each and every one of these characters as they struggle with their own heart aches, losses, and longings. Laurel was living a life not quite complete and unable to totally let go of the heartache past disappointments had hurled at her. Zach only wanted his wife to find complete happiness in all things and went to extraordinary lengths to make it so. Nana, suffering from dementia, often lost herself in past memories as well as those of her husband who had died years before. And Mrs. Miracle was hope and joy in every word and action. With so much heartache, this is a rather angsty read, but at the heart of it all is hope and love. Despite this being a relatively fast read, this was such a richly developed story in both characterization and plotline. Of course, we know that there’s going to be a happy ever after, but the getting there was often painful. Even with all that angst, there is plenty of humor and smiles as well as a deep romance that survives the darkest of days. As always, Mrs. Miracle brings the pure undiluted joy of the holiday season to those around her as well as readers and I loved every moment of the beautiful Christmas story.

Starting with a precarious situation, ending is amazing

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. You can receive your copy here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MFHG8S3/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1 This starts out in a precarious situation with a woman with onset dementia and calling the police regarding her 10 year old missing granddaughter, Laurel. She had told the police that she was late coming home from school. Laurel walks into the house, as an adult with the police at her house. It is shortly before Christmas and the realization that grandma cannot stay home alone lies heavily on her shoulders, along with the debt from failed IVF. After speaking to the agency and being told there is a huge wait list, Laurel consults with her husband about what to do. He too has no idea what to do, so they decide to just hang tight until after the holidays. Shortly after this conversation, Mrs. Miracle appears at their door and has a solution to everything. Boy, could I sure use her in my life. Mrs. Miracle, I have a few stops for you to make..my house first, please! Did I mention my cousin with four kids who could also use a little Mrs. Miracle love and magic? PLEASE come my way!! Anyway, the book unfolds with Mrs. Miracle working her undeniable magic and interference, in a good way, in people's lives. A wish that Laurel never thought would come true is manifested. Mrs. Miracle is quite the Godsend! She is someone that I want in my household and wish that she would come and clean up my house, organize my life and fix what is broken. This is what Mrs. Miracle does and this book does not disappoint! I love everything Debbie writes and was so happy that I was able to review this one. I want to just hug Mrs Miracle after this book! If you are looking for a nice, heartfelt book, you will find it here and it ends with a smile, but it leaves you longing for Debbie to write yet another book and wonder why you torture yourself when you know another Christmas book is not coming out until next year. In the meantime, I will sit here and long for said book. Thanks Debbie for warming my heart on a not so cold fall day!

5 Perfect Stars

5 Perfect stars! Seriously. Is this author even able to write anything but amazing stories? Debbie Macomber never ever fails to satisfy my reader's soul. After reading six very powerful, emotionally morbid and dense, draining books, I picked up "Mrs. Miracle" and read it in less than 3 hours. It was like having an ice cold lemonade on a hot summer day. Mrs. Miracle is the sweet, lovely story, set during the months of Christmas, of the great love of a married woman who, with her husband, moved into her Grandmother's house in order to take care of her, after the grandmother was diagnosed with dementia. Laurel McCullough is a teacher at a local school, and a really good one at that. Her husband is supportive and wants very much to make Laurel happy. Laurel wants nothing more than to have a baby of her own, but it seems the fates are against them. Now, she and her husband, after a myriad of unsuccessful and emotionally painful fertility treatments are bunking with Nana in order to pay off their bills as much as to keep an eye on Nana. Nana's dementia progressively gets worse, and eventually a day care arrangement must be made...and thus enters Mrs. Miracle. If I say much more I will give the story away, but what follows is a soul satisfying "feel good" read that will make your heart smile. No....Laurel and her husband are never pregnant, but something just as sweet occurs; something you could say was just short of a "miracle." Do yourself a favor: take a mental vacation and read this story. It seriously made my heart smile.

A Mrs. Miracle Christmas

A Mrs. Miracle Christmas is a women’s romance novella by author Debbie Macomber. This heart-warming Christmas story touches on adoption, dementia, and infertility. Even though Laurel McCullough longed to have children she was blessed with a classroom full of first-graders. Enthusiastic Mrs. Miracle was a delightful addition to the story. She was given her assignment from the angel Gabriel. Mrs. Miracle reminded me of a contemporary Mary Poppins. A great Christmas read. The story is a quick read. I read it in a day. If the reader is looking for a clean-wholesome seasonal read this is the book for you. I highly recommend this wonderful story to fans of Debbie Macomber, women’s romance, and/or seasonal reads.

Believe

Unabomber brings the best of the Christmas spirit.

A Mrs. Miracle Christmas is the perfect heartfelt Christmas novel. You feel all the emotions the characters go through. This novel has joy, hope, love, and miracles. Anyone who enjoys holiday romance will find this book to be one they will want to read over and over.

Very uplifting book!

A Mrs. Miracle Christmas was a sweet, shorter read with a very festive Christmas setting. I loved the emphasis on faith and prayer! It had a strong message about the power of prayer and belief and how things can happen with faith. The story flowed well and I was able to read this in just two nights. Laurel and her husband had trouble having their own child, and also had a very bad experience with adoption. They gave up on their dream of having a baby and later moved in with Laurel’s grandmother, Helen, to help her as she ages. Because of Helen’s decline mentally, Laurel hired a caregiver named Mrs. Merkel- aka Mrs. Miracle- to help take care of Helen while Laurel and her husband worked. Mrs. Miracle was definitely a unique character and she told Helen that she was a real angel sent to help the entire family. She somehow knew things about their futures and their situations that made them all wonder who she really was. Mrs. Miracle helped all of them in different ways, and had one big Christmas surprise up her sleeve! It was a truly uplifting story with a fabulous ending which will definitely not only put you in a Christmas mood, but also in a more hopeful one, too!

Dreaded Info Dumps But Good Characters and Story

Although I am a voracious reader of feel-good stories (mostly) and this author has been publishing for decades, I hadn't read one of her books until this one. I loved how she tackled tough issues like infertility and dementia with a sure but deft touch, making it so the heavy themes did not detract from the holiday vibe of this book. These weighty subjects could have easily bogged down the story. Instead, they became the foundation for miracles and character growth. The story certainly had that wonderful holiday feel that you want from a book set at Christmas. The people involved in this story are decent, good people who are having a hard time. Those kinds of stories pull at the heartstrings as we want characters like that to ultimately have a better life and triumph. But one thing surprised me, and not in a good way. Frankly, I was surprised at the large information dump in the first scene (and others scattered throughout). I normally associate the dreaded data dump with early-career authors or those who are self-published, with no guiding hand from a judicious editor to make sure the author doesn't make this rookie mistake. But once I got past the info dump sections, I quite enjoyed the characters and the heartfelt family drama. I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

A heartwarming Christmas story

You know it's approaching the holidays when we get a Debbie Macomber Christmas novel! I was trying to save this book, but I just couldn't. I had to dive in and read it. I LOVED this book. This story revolves around Lauren & Zach, a childless couple, and Helen, Lauren's grandmother who has dementia. We also have a return of Mrs. Miracle, whom I absolutely adore. There is a lot of knitting in this story, which I will confess, I learned how to knit because of Debbie Macomber. I loved all the characters in this book. Lauren is an elementary school teacher and Zach is a computer programmer. They are childless, but have struggled with IVF and had a foster child adoption fall through. Helen has dementia and is unable to live alone any longer, so Lauren and Zach have moved in with her. Mrs. Miracle has come to be a companion of Helen's during the holiday season. This book will make you laugh and cry and believe in Christmas miracles. It is definitely a must read for the holiday season. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Christmas miracles!

Before I start a Debbie Macomber story, I know to have plenty of time to read & a box of Kleenex nearby. Plenty of time to read because once I start the first page I know I will be so enthralled with the story that I won’t put it down until the last word is read. A box of Kleenex due to the way Ms. Macomber manages to pull your emotions out so completely. I cry. I laugh out loud. I sit & just smile while I’m reading each precious word. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas is an emotional, heartwarming story that is perfect for the Christmas season. From the first word, I was swept up in Laurel & Zach’s struggle to move forward without the family they so desperately wanted. Zach’s faith and hope uplifted the heart even as Laurel’s despair and pain created tears. I was particularly drawn to Helen, Laurel’s Nana. My own grandmother suffered from dementia in the last years of her life & Helen’s life & experiences mirrored those we experienced with my grandmother. This was a truly wonderful story reminding us of the miracles of the Christmas season & to never lose faith.

Mrs. Miracle is back for another wonderful Christmas story.

The beloved Mrs. Miracle is back for another wonderful Christmas story. I always look forward to Debbie Macomber’s Christmas books. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas did not disappoint. Once again Mrs. Miracle arrives just when she is needed to help a family through a difficult time. Laurel McCullough is a first grade teacher. She loves her students, but longs for a child of her own. Laurel and Zach have been dealt one disappointment after another. It begins to look like they will never be blessed with a baby. When Laurel’s beloved Nana begins to have memory problems and difficulties living alone, they move into her home to help her. After Nana becomes lost in her own neighborhood, Laurel realizes that they can’t do it alone. Laurel contacts Caring Angels, a home care agency, for help. They have no available caregivers. Laurel does not know what to do. She can’t take time away from her students. If she can just make it until the Christmas vacation, she will have two weeks to find help. Then Mrs. Miracle shows up at the door saying that she is a “caring angel”. Laurel doesn’t understand because she was told that the agency had no caregivers available, but Mrs. Miracle has an answer for every question. Mrs. Miracle takes control of the situation and Laurel begins to believe that she really is a miracle. Ms. Macomber has a way of writing that really touches the reader’s heart. I definitely recommend A Mrs. Miracle Christmas and all of her previous Christmas books. They will definitely put you in the Christmas Spirit. I received an ARC from NetGalley and the author in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts are my own.

A Perfect Christmas Read

I am a big fan of all of Debbie Macomber's books, but especially her Christmas books. This is another excellent Christmas book from the author, featuring the beloved Mrs. Miracle. We also meet up with her angelic friends from previous books, Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy. Mrs. Miracle becomes a caretaker to Helen, who has dementia. As she does her “angelic” work with Helen, we find moments of laughter and joy as the two ladies grow close. Mrs. Miracle also has come to help with answering the prayers of Lauren and Zach. Lauren is Helen’s granddaughter. They have had many disappointments with not being able to start a family and have given up hope that there will ever be a child in their lives. A perfect Christmas read that you won’t want to put down once you start reading it. I highly recommend this book to start your holiday reading. I received a copy of this book from Random House Publishing – Ballentine and NetGalley, and this is my honest review.

The unofficial start to the holiday season

Debbie Macomber is the undisputed Queen of Christmas novels and for me, it’s always the unofficial start to the season when her yearly holiday offering releases. Mrs. Miracle is one of her best-known characters (a title very much deserved) and I was beyond excited to see this angel in disguise make her third appearance in A Mrs. Miracle Christmas. This time around Mrs. Miracle pops into the lives of a couple (Zach and Lauren) who have been desperate (to the point of almost giving up) for a baby and need a little extra help with Lauren’s grandmother (Helen) who is suffering from dementia. Mrs. Miracle guides the couple through a bit of healing and helps Helen feel more comfortable with her failing memory. Soon, the whole family is remembering the good times and preparing for what might be the biggest Christmas miracle of us. While I think this entry is the weakest entry in the Mrs. Miracle series, it’s so nice to spend time with this character again. Way better than Mr. Miracle and a lot of Mrs. Macomber’s holiday offers over the past five years. I loved the inclusion of a few other “angels” along the way and the cute little Hallmark channel call out. I feel like I must point out - I would not recommend this book to anyone who is having difficulties conceiving. The story is a bit too tidy and unbelievable and may cause additional pain instead of inspiring holiday spirit and hope.

Hallmark plot

I read one previous Mrs. Miracle book and enjoyed it. I actually enjoyed that book more than I did this one. I felt the plot for this one was fairly predictable--it's like watching a Hallmark Christmas movie--you pretty much know what you're going to get. The cover doesn't seem to match anything that happens in the book--there's no gift of a dog/puppy. Laurel and Zach want to be parents but have had trouble conceiving. After a planned adoption falls through late in the process, Laurel decides she can't keep going through the heartbreak. Zach's not ready to give up though. Laurel's grandmother is declining into dementia. Mrs. Miracle comes to be a companion to her while Laurel and Zach work. I don't enjoy Macomber's Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy stories (or at least the few I've read I haven't enjoyed). They apparently are popular characters and I'd guess that's why Macomber tried to include them here, but for me, they just intruded on the story.

Just what your soul needs this Christmas!

This book is just what the soul needs in a Christmas book. It is clean and sweet and full of goodness...and angels! You can never miss with a Debbie Macomber book. Her characters always overcome an obstacle set before them and find love and contentment along the way. The story of A Mrs. Miracle Christmas doesn't have a couple falling in love with each other, but fighting to keep that love strong. Laurel and Zack have been dealing with infertility for years and after having to return a baby they were hoping to adopt, Laurel has decided she can't take anymore. Zack is still hoping a baby will be found for them and he's been getting weird "signs" that that may just be the case. Mrs. Miracle returns as Laurel's grandmother's caretaker and she's up to her old mysterious ways again. Will her angelic ways help bring Laurel and Zack a baby or is she just a bit wacky like Zack thinks? I was given a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.

Believe in the magic of Christmas

Debbie Macomber's "A Mrs. Miracle Christmas" was a short, sweet novel that is sure to put readers in the Christmas spirit. It is more overtly Christian than most of the other Macomber books I've read to date, and given the nature of some of the story elements, readers must be willing to believe in both the power of prayer and the magic of Christmas. If it proves impossible to do that, readers may find this story difficult to enjoy. The book focuses on married couple Laurel and Zach, who live with and care for Laurel's elderly grandmother, Helen. Laurel and Zach have struggled with infertility for several years, and after an adoption fell through at the last minute, Laurel has given up on ever having a baby of her own to raise. Zach, however, wants to believe that there is still hope for them to have a family and, without Laurel's knowledge, has renewed their application with the adoption agency. Thanks to the timely intervention of Mrs. Miracle, a (slightly mischievous) angel who comes into their lives disguised as Helen's senior-care aide, it seems that Zach and Laurel will finally get their wish, but there are a few bumps along the way. Zach and Laurel were a lovely couple and it was easy to root for them to get their wish for a family, but I was somewhat disappointed by the fact that they were so focused on adopting an infant and never considered taking in an older child. They were already approved to be foster parents, and so many older children need good homes, which Laurel and Zach were able to provide. In addition, given Laurel's own experiences with losing her mother at such a young age and having to move in with her grandparents, it seems like she would be able to relate really well to an older child. I think Laurel would have been able to offer a lot of support and guidance on topics such as dealing with the loss of a parent and starting over at a new school, and it's a shame that she and Zach completely ignored that opportunity. In spite of that disappointment, I couldn't help but like this book. It's not the type of story I would normally pick up, but it was totally appropriate reading for Christmastime, and I did find it to be rather uplifting. *ARC provided by the publisher via NetGalley. Ho Ho Ho!!

Christmas in July anyone? Yes, please! My expectations were high when i started Debbie Macomber’s new book “A Mrs. Miracle Christmas”. After all Mrs. Miracle is a favorite character of mine and Christmas is a favorite season so it’s a win-win. This book did not let me down. In fact, I believe it is my favorite of the Mrs. Miracle books so far. Macomber manages, again, to include realistic characters and settings so descriptive that you feel like you are there. When a book is so well-written you don’t see words but instead you see a movie and you hear the characters, you know it is a good book. In “A Mrs. Miracle Christmas,” I actually smell the Christmas tree, taste the tea and cookies, and feel the soft yarn that Mrs. Miracle and Nana are using to knit a Christmas surprise! Macomber somehow incorporates dementia, infertility and death but still infuses the story with hope and magic. And, best of all, we get a surprise appearance by Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy!!! Read it now or save it until December but definitely add this book to your library! I voluntarily received a copy of this book from Netgalley.

Get Out Your Hankies!

Mrs. Miracle returns in a heartwarming Christmas novel. Zach and Laurel can’t have children of their own and once poured out their hearts to a baby who had to be returned to his birth father, so they have given up. But Heaven knows something they don’t and sends in Mrs. Miracle to bring them hope. Mrs. Miracle is hired to be a companion to Helen, Laurel’s mother, who has lost her spirit and energy. With Mrs. Miracle’s help, getting her out of the house, back into activities, as well as meeting new friends, Helen feels rejuvenated. Now, if only her daughter would get on the ball and open her heart to new possibilities, all would be right with her world. With a little push here and there from Mrs. Miracle, along with a little help from old friends Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy, anything can happen. Christmas Hope

Laurel and Zach are trying to take care of Laurels Nana Helen and grieve over the loss of the little boy they thought would be theirs. Laurel decides she needs help with Nana before something more drastic happens than just her confusion. She reaches out to an agency and is sent an angel of a woman. Mrs. Miracle is right on time to help . Laurel has given up on having a family with her husband Zach after failed attempts at IVF . The last straw was the loss of her precious Jonathon. Mrs. Miracle is gonna help fix it all with some heavenly help.. Shirley, Goodness and Mercy are waiting in the wings to pitch in . Nana has been told all that will unfold and is thrilled. I love Debbie's books and this one is no exception. I enjoy the hope and love that is shown in this book. I received this book from the publisher to read and give my honest review.

A Christmas Story

I always enjoy Christmas books this time of the year so I decided to give this one a try without really looking at what it was about. Laurel and Zach are a young couple with fertility problems that also have the grandmother that helped raise her living with them. Her grandmother is in her 80's (I think) and needed more constant attention so they call a place to get a home health aide for during the day. In comes Mrs. Miracle. Mrs. Miracle is a literal angel that assures grandma that everything will work out as it should and the all just need to have faith in God. Not being a religious person, all of the God talk was a little bit of a turn off, but the basic story was fast and helped the time go by as I worked around the house. I probably wouldn't pick up another of these books, but it was sweet enough.

What a great story!!!!!

I received an Advanced Reader Copy from Ballantine Books and NetGalley for my unbiased opinion of the book. This book centers around one of our favorite angels that Debbie Macomber has created. Mrs. Miracle arrives in the nick of time to help Laurel McCullough, her husband Zach and grandmother Helen. Lauren and Zach are unable to have children and been unsuccessful trying to adopt a child. Meanwhile, Helen is having memory issues and can't be left alone anymore. Since the holidays are fast approaching, ignoring problems of the past are no longer possible. Mrs. Miracle arrives and immediately takes over the household watching Helen and working on everyone's faith which is lacking and hope for a newborn to adopt. What would Christmas season be without our angels around us. Thank you, Debbie, for writing another fabulous novel!

A tale about a family dealing with serious issues and a visit from Mrs. Miracle

When I think of heart-warming tales with a Christian influence or message, I always think of books written by Debbie Macomber. Her books also deal with real life scenarios and don’t gloss over the pain and suffering that part of real life. In this story, Laurel McCullough, is dealing with both the decline of her grandmother, Helen, and has given up the dream of having children (either her own or adopted.) She is sad and her husband Zack is trying his best to support her in her time of need. Helen is having increasing difficulty remembering things. Because of that, Laurel and Zack have moved in to help her. Even so, it is becoming increasingly obvious that Helen needs someone to help her while Laurel and Zack are at work. Money is short due to the expense of fertility treatments that were ineffective. When Mrs. Miracle shows up to help, Laurel is thrilled. The story is about the effect that Mrs. Miracle has on this family. Meshed into that is the story of the first Christmas and what Christianity is about. I enjoyed reading this book. It is part of a series of Christmas books that Debbie Macomber has written. Some of those books have even been made into Hallmark movies. I will be looking forward to reading more books by this author, especially those around the Christmas season. I was provided a digital advance reader copy of this book by the publisher via Netgalley.

Mrs. Miracle is back...

***I received a free copy of this book from the publisher. I voluntarily reviewed this book and all opinions are my own. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas by Debbie Macomber is a perfect holiday book. It is a touching and sweet story that touches on dementia and infertility. Laurel and Zach live with and take care of Laurel's grandmother Helen. They want children and after a failed adoption Laurel has given up hope. Mrs. Miracle comes in to help with her grandmother and a few other things. I enjoy Debbie Macomber books and especially love Mrs. Miracle. This is a book about faith and hope even with life seems bleak. A must read for the holidays. Thank you Netgalley and Random House Publishing Goup-Ballantine for the opportunity to read and review this book. Romance Women's Fiction Release Date: October 1, 2019

Mrs. Miracle love...

It's been a hot minute since I've read a Debbie Macomber novel. Even better that it is a Christmas one! I LOVE Christmas! I've loved Mrs. Miracle and her antics from the first Mrs. Miracle novel. Mrs. Miracle was the perfect dose of faith for Laurel and Zach, but also the perfect companion for Helen as she struggled with dementia. This story isn't about religion. You don't have to subscribe to any one religion to have faith and believe. Life doesn't happen according to our time stamps. This was the perfect story to let us sit back, take a deep breath, and reflect. Having faith isn't only believing in God and his many gifts, but also having faith in oneself. I needed to read the words Ms. Macomber wrote during this season of my life to renew faith in myself but also to prepare for the holiday season to come.

Woohoo -- Mrs. Miracle is back!

I goosebumped my way through this book! It was so touching and funny and sad and hopeful --the perfect ingredients for an inspirational holiday read. Mrs. Miracle is back and living up to her name in this Classic Macomber Christmas story. And the McCulloughs are definitely deserving of some serious angelic intervention! Honestly, I cried at the end. Great heaving, hiccupping sobs. It was so cathartic. :-) This is my absolutely, positively all-time-favourite Christmas novel by Debbie Macomber. The kind I'll want to read (or listen to) year after year. I enjoyed the audible version and delighted in Cassandra Campbell's portrayal of these wonderful characters. Destined to become a Christmas classic (and hopefully another Mrs. Miracle movie!)

The Christmas Spirit in a book

Debbie Macomber and Mrs. Miracle never fail to win my heart. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas is no exception to that. It was wonderful! Every good thing you can imagine about Christmas stories and Debbie Macomber books in general applies here. This book was heartwarming and fun, uplifting and left me with a longing not only for Christmas, but the return of the days when people treated each other well and had faith in something - a higher power, the power of love etc. Do yourself a favor and purchase this book. Then curl up with a warm drink, some soft music and enjoy this lovely Christmas tale. Thank you to the publisher, author and Netgalley for allowing me an ARC at my request. My opinions of this book are my own and freely given.

Will definitely put you in the Christmas spirit!

Laurel McCullough and her husband Zach needed to figure out what to do about her grandmother. Her health was declining and she was beginning to have bouts of confusion and memory loss. They lived with with her, but she was alone during the day while they were both at work. Laurel was also battling depression. She and Zach had been trying for years to have a baby and had even attempted adoption with no success. Laurel had given up on her dream of becoming a mother and it hurt her Grandmother to see her loss of faith. Then Mrs Miracle arrived on their doorstep...... What a wonderful Christmas book. This book not only touched my heart, but it renewed my faith. It is very uplifting and it will definitely put you in the Christmas spirit!

Good Read!

Another Macomber book- YES ... Another Macomber Christmas book - YES Another book w/ Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy - YES! I love this trio! Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy is how I discovered Debbie Macomber many years ago, and I am so grateful for her books- they are a light in the darkness for me. Thank you for granting me an ARC!! Christmas time = a season for miracles I love Mrs Miracle and her special "knowledge." This time, w/ current events, we all need this message/outlook of miracles in our midst. We need Guardian Angels and Prayer Ambassadors!! Thank you Debbie, for bringing us more Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy and aiding Mrs. Miracle = classic!

Mrs. Miracle and the Christmas Angels

This is the third Mrs. Miracle Christmas story and it's another great Christmas read! I also like that Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy (Christmas angels) also make an appearance and cause a little mischief. Mrs. Miracle arrives to help out with a family's needs near Christmas time. Helen is elderly and has problems with mobility and memory, but she shows much progress after spending a short time with Mrs. Miracle. Her granddaughter, Laurel, and husband, Jack, live with her and have lost any hope of adopting a baby. This is a season of miracles and hope for the family. Thanks to the publisher and to NetGalley for an ARC; all opinions are my own.

Wonderful story!

Audible version. Oh Debbie! What a wonderful wonderful story! I just loved it, the narrator is so good, she has just the perfect voice, especially for this type of story. I only wish this could’ve lasted longer somehow, it’s way too short. Thank you so much though for this. Please keep these wonderful books coming out, as I’m sure you will. (I must add, some of the narrators you have turned me off. I listen to the samples, some of them have terrible voices, no way could I make it through the whole thing Listening to them. Please remember the narrator makes the story. That’s all I’ve been using lately is audible, for about 3 yrs or so.)

A Joyous Start to the Season

I have gone through several of the hurtful events described in this book, so some scenes were both painful and joyous. As the the characters find their faith renewed, I felt a resurgence of my own, in spite of the fact that I didn't get the happy ending in my own life. This is why people read inspirational fiction: to rid themselves of bitterness or anger from disappointments. Fiction can make the reader want to emulate the positive qualities of the characters; Debbie Macomber's books always do that for me. Joy and a sense of God's Holy Presence are the result--giggling angels are a bonus! I doubt readers will ever tire of Mrs. Miracle.

A wonderful Christmas story

A sweet Christmas story of love, forgiveness, acceptance, healing, and family. An angel, Mrs. Miracle, disguised as a caregiver, enters the life of a family just when everything seems to be going wrong: grandmother with dementia can no longer be left alone and Laurel and Zach's marriage is strained. As she helps the family--assisted, at times, by the angel trio of Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy--they rediscover the joy of the Christmas season and are blessed with an unexpected gift: a baby. I love the Mrs. Miracle books, and they are the perfect antidote to a busy Christmas season with a reminder to find joy in the world.

For The Heart That Never Gives Up...

This book was a heartfelt read from the first page to the last. The characters are vibrant and come to life, as if you can see what they look like and hear the sound of their voices. The story was gripping from chapter to chapter as seasons of hurt turned into seasons of hope, and times of loss turned into times of beautiful blessing. This story from Debbie Macomber helps us to truly hope and believe again in areas where we may have lost our strength, after enduring trials and storms that shatter our hearts. This is a story that reminds us that God is big and he can do anything. It's a tender nudge to persevere no matter how long and allow God to work, through other people and through painful experiences, to bring about His purpose. I would highly recommend this read if you want to be inspired to never give up and to never forget that God is always with you and always working for you ... even when you don't see it or feel it. A Mrs. Miracle Christmas is a wonderful story, and it will remain on my shelf to be pulled out each holiday season as I recapture the belief, the hope, and the reminder of exactly who God is and how he loves us.

Another one to truly enjoy!

What a wonderful and heart warming read! As usual, Debbie Macomber has written a delightful story about family and love and Christmas. Ms. Macomber's books are ALWAYS an experience in peace and comfort, all while being well written and relatively realistic. I loved this book, as I have every other book I've read by Ms. Macomber, and very strongly recommend this and any of her other books. Thank you to Netgalley, the wonderfully talented author Debbie Macomber, and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for my free ARC of this inspiring and truly lovely book. This is my completely honest opinion.

Touching and Heartwarming Christmas Novel

This is a story about Laura who is worried about her grandmother who raised her, losing her mental facilities. Laura is childless and has tried lots of things but even adoption did not work for her! An angel comes into the picture as an answer to her grandmother's prayer for Laura. This is a delightful, entertaining read that reminded me of the show, Touched by an Angel. If you liked that show, I would highly recommend this book to you. My favorite characters are Helen and Mrs. Miracle. It's a fun, light read. It could easily be a Hallmark Christmas movie in my opinion.

Not my favorite

I love Mrs. Miracle, but this book just didn't grab my attention. Maybe it's because I never became invested in the characters or maybe because it all felt too contrived. And it ended so quickly after all the angst that you kind of felt like what just happened! Maybe it's time for Mrs. Miracle to retire and for Ms. Macomber to come up with a new Christmas character.

What a happy and blessed story.

Absolutely Delightful!

Debbie Macomber pens Christmas romances like no other! A Mrs. Miracle Christmas story is a tender, sweet, sad, funny and delightful. The people, towns and places she creates in her stories are so realistic that when I get to the end I know I will miss them all and can’t wait to revisit them again and again! If you love Christmas, romance and a great story then A Mrs. Miracle Christmas by Debbie Macomber is just perfect for you any time of the year! I received this book for free. I laughed, and cried, too !!

“A Mrs. Miracle Christmas” by Debbie Macomber Oh, my, I just finished reading this story and … well, I loved it. From cover to cover I was captured by the love and faith so evident in the telling of this story. If you get emotionally involved in your reading, you will most assuredly want a stash of tissues close to hand. I do not recall the last time my eyes leaked down my cheeks with such abandon. Yes, I was a watering-pot through and through. I requested and was granted an ARC of this story by the publisher via NetGalley. Thank you very much for the opportunity for this early read and to share my honest review. This is one of Debbie Macomber’s best writing achievements thus far. It truly has something for everyone, if you look for the message. Happy Reading !!

A wonderful and heartwarming book!

Another wonderful, heartwarming book by Debbie Macomber! Fans of Debbie Macomber (and Mrs. Miracle) will not be disappointed! Laurel and Zach are the perfect couple, but they are missing one thing they always dreamed and hoped for - a baby! After the heartache of losing baby Jonathan when his biological father regained custody of him, Laurel is done. How can she go through that devastation again? "A Mrs. Miracle Christmas" follows Zach and Laurel as they work through their pain and the trials of not being able to have a baby. When Mrs. Miracle arrives as the caregiver sent by Caring Angels to help care for Nana (Laurels grandmother), she brings with her hope and love to help mend their hurting hearts.

Christmas with Debbie Macomber, who needs to say more.

There is no better writer when it comes to Christmas Angel books. I love Debbie Macomber and her re-occuring characters for a dose of love and Christmas miracles. Mrs. Miracle arrives at Laurel and Zack's doorstep to become caregiver to her grandmother, Helen. With Christmas just weeks away and her teaching job taking more and more time , Laurel is worried that Helen may have to go to a nursing home. Now Mrs. Miracle is not only helping Helen but she is planning a special surprise for Laurel and Zach. Cameo appearances by Shirley, Goodness and Mercy. A great stand alone read but part of the Angel series. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Love Mrs. Miracle

Mrs. Miracle returns. I love this character. She brings hope, love, forgiveness, understanding, and faith to her many assignments. She is a sweet fun loving grandmother type who the reader cannot help but love. Laurel and Zach have prayed for a baby since they married. However, God has not blessed them yet. When they move in with Laurel's grandmother, life becomes more complicated. Calling in outside help seems to be the only answer. Enter: Mrs. Miracle. With her love and support, Helen appears to perk up. She believes that Mrs. Miracle is an angel. Will everyone find answers this Christmas with Mrs. Miracle around? Will prayers be met? Come along on this heavenly ride. I received a copy through Netgalley. A positive review was not required.

Another fun Mrs. Miracle novel

I love the Mrs. Miracle character in Debbie Macomber's novels and I was thrilled to see she had written another book about her. I was only disappointed to see it end. In this book, Mrs. Miracle has arrived to help Helen, who is beginning to show signs of dementia, as well as Helen's granddaughter Laurel and her husband, Zach, who are struggling with infertility. The outcome is never in doubt, but it was a joy to see how it unfolded. It was also fun to see Debbie Macomber's other angels, Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy, appear briefly as well. Great start to the holiday season.

A Joyful tale of faith and Miracles! was given an ARC from Netgalley for my honest review!

Wonderful characters and great Christmas story!

This is a wonderful book with one of my very favorite characters, Mrs. Miracle. Laurel and Zach have had a difficult time trying to have a baby, and have been through several heartbreaking situations. Laurel loses faith in ever having a family,. When her grandmother begins to show signs of dementia, Mrs. Miracle arrives to be her caregiver. While her presence is a true blessing, Zach hides a secret from Laurel that could end their marriage. It was wonderful having Mrs. Miracle and her fellow angels in a story again. Please keep them coming Debbie Macomber!

classic!

Look no further for a positive, thoughtful, and inspiring Christmas story. Laurel and Zach have been dealing with infertility for far too long and it's wearing on her especially hard. She doesn't know how much it's hurting Zach. Add to this, Laurel's beloved grandmother Helen is struggling with dementia. It's enough to make someone want to curl up under the covers but Laurel keeps going and then, just when she needs her most, Mrs Miracle comes to help take care of Helen. Readers of Macomber know that her stories often have difficult parts based on real life but that they are always uplifting. That's the case here as well. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Good storytelling and characters you will root for make this a very good read.

Feel Good Holiday Read

Debbie is the Queen of holiday reads! Winter just isn't the same without indulging in one of her books. This is an emotional journey between a Laurel and Zach. She's given up on motherhood, natural and adoption. Zach just wants Laurel to be happy, baby or no. I don't tend to love female characters who finds their value and self-worth only in motherhood. It's an admirable goal certainly, but I like to think women are special in their own rights. The way Debbie writes Zach's love for Laurel really made this a cozy, feel good read.

Christmas is here!

I absolutely loved this story. I was so glad to enjoy Mrs. Miracle again. I shed a few tears of sadness, but definitely laughter and tears of happiness at the end. Perfect Christmas story. Laurel, Zach and Helen find that prayers and faith can be answered. Miracles do happen. I’ve been a reader of Debbie Macomber for years. It was so enjoyable to see that Shirley, Goodness and Mercy made an appearance in the book. That was such a feel good series too. Maybe Hallmark will turn this one into a Christmas movie too! Just will miss Doris Roberts.

Christmas + Debbie Macomber = Heartwarming Entertainment!

A MRS. MIRACLE CHRISTMAS is everything you would expect a Debbie Macomber Christmas book to be. It is a heart warming story of faith and belief in the power of prayer. The story revolves around a young couple that want to start a family, but have had multiple setbacks. They share a home with "Grandma Helen", and that is how they meet Mrs. Miracle. Anytime the angels get involved, you know its going to be fun! This addition to the Mrs. Miracle collection is perfect for getting into the holiday spirit. A special thank you to Ballantine Books and Netgalley for this ARC. A MRS. MIRACLE CHRISTMAS was a joy to read. I highly recommend this book.

A Mrs. Miracle Christmas

Although both story lines have affected me personally, I found the story to be uplifting rather than unsettling. Mrs. Miracle was a gift to Helen, Laurel, and Zack. However, the true beauty of this story is that, even portrayed as fantastical elements, this story demonstrates the miraculous healing power of love. Excellent read. Highly recommended. Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and Debbie Macomber for an ARC of 'A Mrs. Miracle Christmas' in exchange for an honest review.

A Must read this holiday season

If you read no other Christmas book this holiday season let me assure you this is the one you want to read. I've read all of the author's angel books and thought I had read this one as well until I realized to my utmost delight this is a new Shirley,Goodness and Mercy book. She started with her angel books in the late nineties so I had no idea she would write a new one. This is truly what you want in a Christmas book, heartwarming in so many ways wrapped up in cookies and tea with a strong helping of faith and a belief of miracles. Pub Date 01 Oct 2019 I was given a complimentary copy of this book. Thank you. All opinions expressed are my own.

Angels among us.

Who doesn’t love a Mrs. Miracle story? Do you believe that we have angels among us? This is a very sweet story about Helen (Nana) who has problems with dementia and Laurel and Zach who are wanting so badly to be parents. As you follow their journey you will get some insight into what can happen in these situations. Of course, Mrs. Miracle helps them in ways only she can. I loved it and hope you will also. I received this book from NetGalley, but my opinion is my own.
