I've never complained about cardstock before (for instance, I feel that Lo Scarabeo decks are perfectly adequate), but this is straight terrible. If you go to a craft store and buy value papercrafting solids, you'll get this. It's not even as heavy as a cheap blank greeting card. The corners are sharp. I should have looked more closely at the customer images, because a couple do show this. Unfortunately, you can't just round them without damaging the gilding -- which, incidentally, is stuck in little pieces to the front of some cards. The images are perfectly nice. I definitely don't hate what the deck IS, just what it's ON. I had such a hard time picking out an oracle deck (not huge, not appropriative, no slurs, no angels) that I'll stick with it and try it out. The deck concept is probably a solid 4 stars, but production crapped out.

AMAZING looking deck. Love the silver edges. Was hesitant to get them after reading some reviews. They were not stuck together at all. Cards are of good quality in my opinion. ESPECIALLY for the price! The ONLY issue I have with them is their sharp edges when shuffling. But as I use them more and more I’ve gotten used to them. And also, this deck is dedicated to the Goddess Nyx which I didn’t pay attention to. I don’t think you HAVE to call on her to effectively use this deck. But it’s a plus for those who worship her as their deity. I use it intuitively and still get good reads but overall I am VERY happy all around.

I loved the HoN novels and read all of them with a hunger that was beyond words. Being a mature adult, it was surprising me to love a series aimed at teenagers, but I did. And when I discovered that there was a card deck to go with it, I had to have that as well. Now I have a very long history of studying anything spiritual and esoteric I could lay my hands on, three decades of research. So I could perhaps take of one star for the fact that the booklet's texts keeps the meaning of the cards rather superficial, but I didn't because I suppose that was on purpose, so uneducated teenagers with no prior knowledge of Wicca and other esoteric traditions are not put off and understand the cards easily. I for myself was able to go deeper into the wisdom by myself. Still, I would appreciate something a little bit more substantial personally. But nevertheless, these cards have been my constant companions throughout the last years and I have been able to do very accurate and empowering readings with them for myself and others alike. Therefore, full points and a big thank you to the author. She has created something truly magical!

I love this deck. If you didn't read the house of night series it may be a bit hard to relate and understand the cards without the hand book. If you did read the series than use your knowledge of the books to relate and to see what the images and cards are telling you. The art work is amazing and thus is now my favorite deck, ever. Love, love, love it.

I ordered them recently to replace the APP that was not working anymore (btw, does anybody know how to update the APP?). I love Colette's cards and I try to have at least one form (APP, or physical deck) from every single one of them (and often I end up with both, truth be told). Got them today, actually. I just welcomed them by looking at each card, then I pulled cards for the question I had, they worked! Cards were spot on for me and I was not even aware before today of the Goddess Nyx. (The advantage of the physical deck is the special relationship we have to books, they lure us to read them!!! Otherwise I find APPs and normal decks working alike, not once I picked the same card from both for my questions.) I was surprised by the sharp corners, not a choice I would have made, but I truly believe they were helping me stay in the NOW moment and pay attention to my question while shuffling! Happy with this deck, indeed! Thank you to all that put their love and passion in birthing it!

This is my 4th deck of oracle cards. My first deck was by colette baron reid (the map oracle cards) and I absolutely love and recommend them. I didn't order this deck because it was by the same author. I was just looking around at decks, and it just happened to be by the same author. I looked up the cards ahead of time to see if i could "work" with them. They do look beautiful. I like the silver edges and the black, but I guess between the time I placed the order, and the time I got the cards and looked through them, I didn't feel as drawn to them as I did a week ago. I do feel a little bad for putting 3 stars. The cards look beautiful. I did a few quick readings, but the cards I got just felt very abstract/random and very hit or miss for me. The card description in the book seems a little too short (I guess this would be good for those who like room to interpret their own meanings.) I just can't connect to what the card is trying to tell me. :/ Some things work better for others I guess. And considering that most of the reviewers seemed to connect well with this deck, It's unfortunate that I couldn't also :/. --- Revised 8/8/13 I feel a little more intuitive since the last time I used the cards.. so I decided to try another reading. I took the cards out and the bottom card was "denial", it stuck in my mind and when I shuffled and pulled a card from the middle.. it was denial. This happened exactly like the other reading i did with my other deck too! The denial card's description fit perfectly with what I've been telling myself and thinking for a while. Yet it wasn't exactly "denial" as how most see it, but what struck me was the don't "get caught in your desire to reach your goal too soon. You may choose sour fruit that only looks ripe and juicy." You have to remember that we already KNOW what we need, want, etc consiously or subsconsciously. Yet sometimes it's difficult to bring it forward and oracle cards, tarot, etc are tools that help you find the answer more clearly. It was.. in my eyes.. a perfect card for me right now. Since I did a past present and future, all I can agree to were the past and present. But I see where the future is headed and at this point I agree. I also did a where am I now and it was related (denial.) So I raised this to 4 stars. I don't see myself using this deck often though. It has silver edges, but it has tiny silver dust that falls on your hand like glitter. So that makes me hesitant to use this deck. I don't like glittery things.. it freaks me out. It is smaller than glitter but I don't like the "mess" haha.

I got this today and got a little upset/disappointed because, a few of the cards edges are messed up. But, not enough for me to do the whole return/exchange process so I will keep them. And I was also a little confused and disappointed because, it shows Collette Baron-Reid on the back of the book as if she's one of the cards like P.C. is but there's not any of her in my deck. I do like the artwork and the silver edges. The cards are stiff and a nice thickness but, staticy. There big 5" long × 3 9/16" wide. They're definitely square with the sharp pointed corners. They're hard to shuffle but, I'm sure that'll change after some use. I would buy again and give as a gift.

Colette Baron-Reid is absolutely one of my favorite oracle card authors! P.C. Cast and her make a great team! I was not sure about buying these cards, originally, because I was afraid the messages would be too dark, but the artwork was too gorgeous to pass up. And when I finally got these, the messages were loving and wise. It helped me to embrace the light and dark sides of my personality equally, and realize that both sides are just as loving and valid. I have not read, nor seen, any of the House of Night stories, but these cards still speak to me, greatly. They are so insightful and moving, and most of my readings have been extremely accurate. I am still waiting for some predictions to come true, but many of them have come true, already. I did not know who Nyx was, before I used these cards, but am grateful to be introduced to her. The wisdom that the authors voice as Nyx is extremely valuable! This has helped me to heal so many aspects of my life! Plus, the artwork on these cards are truly amazing! I wish that P.C. Cast created more oracle cards, and that the illustrator created more as well.

I bought these on a whim. I have not read the book series nor am I familiar with the story. That said the cards are nice overall and their messages are on point most of the time. I'm sure if I knew the background I would understand them more but my reasoning for the three stars is because they also feel really cheesy to me. Cheesy in the sense of a "Twilight-esque" kind of teenage cult books/series. I'm glad I got a chance to play with them but they will definitely be gifted or traded in the near future.

I like this deck a lot it has very sharp images and vibrant colors. The cards are easy to put into rotation but this is something I have to let you know especially if you are the artist of these amazing cards....the edges are so sharp that I'm afraid of a sharp cut when I use them so I'm considering filing down the edges myself with a nail file to round the sharp edges lol! I do love them though a lot! Maybe my hands are just too sensitive as well so lol! Thank you so much for making this great deck!

Nice Oracle cards, the art is beautiful. The idea may have come from a novel book series but I dont pay attention to that as the messages and the photos give plenty of intuitive information that is extremely handy and most times very accurate. I do recommend these cards. They will likely go up in price as they become popular so... grab yours now!!

I love the box this comes in, nice and sturdy! The cards feel wonderful and shuffle like a dream. So far no problems with the gilded flaking off either so that is wonderful! I do wish the corners were rounded though. As they are cut the corners are very very pointy and I have stabbed myself more than once which makes me pass by this deck in favor of other, less stabby, decks. Overall I connect with the artwork but there are several cards that I believe I would connect with better had I ever read the books they are based on.

This deck is beautiful. The connection was almost instant! With these I don't need the guidebook because It's easy to read the cards intuitively. These cards are very frank, and don't care about your feelings either. So if you're ready to do some deep work....throw it in your cart😌

I just got the deck less then a hour ago and I love it. The art work if georgious and the silver sides are a wonderful touch. I love the House of night series and am thankful to be able to get my hands on something like this. Only thing I don't like is not all members of the nerd herd are represented in the deck. Would of really liked it if there was a card for Jack, Orox, Stark, Damien you get the idea. Still I think this is a amazing deck and plan to enjoy it for years to come.

Cards are durable. Good stock. Gilded edges in silver. This deck is based on a vampire series, which I did not know. I thought they’d be a great addition to my collection with darker themes as I don’t always like fluffy bunny decks. I think if you know the story line and like it this deck would be good. I like the themes and the colors and picture. However, If not some cards are labeled with character names that make no sense for everyday life or personal readings.

Although beautiful to the eye.....the cards are large and uncomfortable to shuffle. Sharp edges and Very sharp corners made my hands hurt....such a shame, they really are pretty....

A very different deck. As an owner of many tarot and Oracle decks, this is my most ‘different’ Oracle deck—which is good...and bad. The edges of the cards are SHARP. Like, poke your hands as you shuffle sharp. The artwork is great. There are a few cards that even with the book description, I don’t fully understand the meaning of and I’m fairly intelligent. I also don’t particularly like being spoken to (sometimes somewhat harshly) by a Goddess I do not know about, but it’s part of the theme of the deck. Can’t beat the beauty and novelty for the price. Buy it, you’ll be glad you did!

I was very impressed with this deck. The illustration are beautiful and good card stock thickness. The deck is not too big and it's manageable for shuffling. It has beautiful sliver trimming and very pointy edges, ouch but all good. I am a big fan of her work and I just connect to her cards. This deck will make a perfect addition to any collection.

I love this deck, the only reason I've deducted a star is that we have a black deck with a gold border and then silver gilding on the edges. I'd have preferred gold or black on this deck. The deck itself reads very intuitively and is just gorgeous. If you like vampires, it's a great deck for you. If you don't like vampires but love the moonlight and tattoos featured in this deck, you'll still love it...just ignore the book's storyline (that's what I do).

The card stock is a little sticky, it makes it a little difficult to shuffle the deck. However, the images on the cards are beautiful. I’m still happy with this deck purchase. If you’re a House Of Night Series fan as well, this deck is definitely worth adding to any HON collection.

I like these cards. I wish the quality of card stock was a smidge better and that is why i gave 4 instead of 5 stars.

As an oracle deck collector and HoN series fan, this was the perfect deck for me. The detail and artwork on the cards were super pretty and well thought out, although I wish more of the characters were included. The only reason I didn't rate the deck at full stars was because the silver lining on the sides of the cards kept rubbing off on my hands every time I used them and the cards were very stiff in my opinion; it was hard to shuffle properly without giving myself a paper cut.

This is a great deck of divination or daily devotion cards for anyone who would like to use something different than the traditional Tarot cards. The artwork and imagery is very well done, beautiful and meaningful. The cards are reasonably easy to shuffle and I love that this deck is edged in silver instead of gold. The symbols and meanings speak to my consciousness and that is what is most important to me in a deck. I have not read the books that the images in this deck are based on. But, I intend to soon. I am very happy with this purchase.

I just received my Wisdom of the House of Night deck and I absolutely love it! The art work is so stunning! I even loved how there was glitter all over the place when I held the cards. Probably from the gilded gold edges but it just added to the beauty of the cards to me. The guide book was beautifully simplistic with the meanings of the cards. Enough to give you the understanding of each card and yet left plenty open for you to tap into your intuition when time to do a reading. The beauty of the cards really draw the eye in and the energy is quite inviting. The card stock is a bit soft for me but it isn't enough to really be bothered by it. It will just take a little extra care to shuffle or draw the cards and that is totally fine with me. These are worth it.

The way the deck is cut is sharp and may literally cut your fingers from shuffling. Nice imagery and the book is interesting, decent explanations for each card. But you can't really shuffle them, which is my main gripe.

The cards are beautiful. The silver lines on the sides is a stunning touch. The cards do tend to stick together however I imagine about being used that will not be such a issue. The cards edges are pointed however again I don’t think that will to much of a issue. Pictures are beautiful and the story behind them is a incredible thought. Perfect for anyone who wants a beautiful set of oracle cards or any fan who’s wanting a piece of the HON magic.

The deck came timely and in great shape. It was securely packaged, and the deck was sealed and brand new, as far as I could tell. It is a lovely deck, beautifully rendered. I like that it recognizes the dark side of our selves and our reality - not necessarily bad, but badly needing to be heeded and respected.

Really disappointed in the artist. Obviously they had no idea what they were basing these pictures off of. Kalona as a blonde? Really? Most of the main characters are left out. The pictures don't do justice to the book. I'm a huge fan, so this was a bummer.

The images are stunning, the guide book that comes with it is simple. my only true disappointment is the hinting story line that she teases the readers with. i read tarot cards and oracles, so i'm generally more update with those than young adult fiction hence why i found the deck. the images alone are super stunning if slightly out of context with the "names". i however don't have an issue reading the oracle without knowing the deeper context of the series. i do wish that there was some commentary in the guidebook about the fact is connected to the other series. other than that one thing, it's an awesome deck.

Beautiful graphics! I have not read this series but it's not needed necessarily for this deck at all. Every card pull that I have done with this deck has resonated for myself and everybody else that I read it for. I love this Oracle deck!

Great oracle deck the only reason I gave it a 4 is because they’re to big and hard to shuffle the edges are way to pointy I’ve gotten hurt a few times other then that they give great advice and make you feel as if your protected my nyx

My first oracle deck, and I love it! I’m a big fan of the series, and knowing the characters makes it easy to understand the cards without having to reference the book. The answers from the cards are accurate. The cards are about as long as a tarot deck, but a bit wider. I found them easy to shuffle. I love the silver on the edges. The artwork is wonderful, and I love the art on the back of the card. I highly recommend to anyone that is a fan of the books.

P.C. Cast has done it again with this intimate and wisdom filled deck. I bought this deck because of the House of Night Books and found myself completely transfixed and to be honest I bring them with me everywhere. I have read for a couple of people and they raved and told me the reading was spot on. Both P.C. Cast and Colette Baron-Reid created a multidimensional experience in a more than attractive package. The artwork is divinely inspired and the meanings behind each card brings out a deeper understanding of the world around us and a deeper understanding of our place in it. Bravo and thank you!

These cards were absolutely beautiful. Pictures could not do them justice. The art work is breath taking and the glittery card edges are a great added touch.

I love the House of Night series and when I saw these I had to have them! I have read Tarot most of my life and I love the images on these cards. The cards are bit thin and if you arent paying attention you'll poke yourself on the corners but otherwise amazing!

I wasn't happy with these cards at all. Card stock was awful and the images were worst with pictures of real people. Which to me it felt they were friends of the creator of the deck.

If you ever need an answer to a question or even a problem, reach for these cards! With one card, you will receive an answer. With a second card you will get confirmation of your original answer. This is the best of all the Oracle Cards that I have tried!! I have adored the book series that these cards originated from, but to find out that the deity in the series is a for real deity, wow! My mind was blown, I just had to try out the Oracle Cards. And you know what? It really works!! Give this set a try. You will NOT be disappointed. I promise.

I've been reading the HON series since age 14 and am currently rereading the series due to my purchase of this deck. (Not neccessary by the way I just love them) Book is based mostly from the perspective of the Goddess of Night; Nyx. Highly recommended especially if you're a house of night fan

I am a fan of the house of night series, so I try to collect all the things from the series I can, but I am also pagan by religious choice, so these kind of served a dual purpose. The cards come in a hard beautifully designed box with a velvety feel. The cards themselves are stiff and do not bend, quite ideal for the type of cards they are, they have stunning artwork and silver metallic borders. Any HON fan would adore these.

Really enjoy the art work. I am not familiar with the books or show or whatever inspired these but they are quite lovely and i love the Goddess Nyx. Great buy. The box is super sturdy.

Does not have rounded edges! Thick card stock so you will stab yourself when shuffling these cards. I can’t use them so they are put up as a collection item with the books.

Whether you are an avid Oracle and Tarot user, or just a fan of the series, this deck is beautiful and easy to interpret. The cards are sided with beautiful silver leaf work and the cards imagery is clear and well defined. the guidebook is really cute and decently written and the box they come in is sturdy and doesn't need to be taped unlike a lot of other decks that just come in a cardboard sleeve. I definitely recommend this deck.

Big fan of the HoN series so I had to get these! Overall I'm very happy, but I'll admit some cards are more pixelated and Photoshoped than artistic.

I have two other oracle card decks but this one is my favorite by far. The booklet that comes with the cards, are easy and simple to understand, however there are no reverse reading in the booklet, so you would have to interpret reverse cards your way ( but everyone is different so its not a problem) and the cards are very pleasant to look at. I say this deck is a must have for anyone interested in oracle cards and/or tarot.

Absolutely love this cards. The first time I opened them I felt an instant connection with them. Just the energy surrounding them. The art work is breath taking. And the meanings of the cards are really persist, and short and sweet. If you are a House of Night fan or just a beginner, I would highly recommend. Only issue I have is the corners are a little sharp and the cards are pretty thick so they are a little hard to shuffle, other than that 5 stars :)

These cards are very beautiful, however they're sticky and on top of that they're extremely sharp. I cut my leg just dropping this card. And it keeps stabbing me in the hands. I'm seriously considering getting some sandpaper and rounding these edges out because they really hurt!

I really liked this oracle deck. It was something new and fresh. I haven't seen one like this before. The art work is beautiful and I didn't know this was created after a book series. I am actually interested in reading the series now. Most of the reading were right on and I understood the reading later on as well. For me this deck just clicked with me. I would recommend this to other Oracle and Tarot readers.

I bought these cards because I've used the Wisdom of the Hidden Realms for a while and was attracted to these, as well. Knowing nothing about the House of Night books, I'm very pleased and impressed with the cards. Some oracles resonate with you better than others, and these are bang on the money for me. The artwork is beautiful and the text well-written. I'm getting to know them by choosing a 'card for the day' and they're proving very useful, granting daily insight and inspiration.

A more subtle deck of oracle cards, exploring more the shadows, in a positive deeper way. Received them this morning and have used them throughout the day , working with their subtle, deep, energy. These wont be for everyone, as they have deeper symbolism. Very pure and positive, delving into our shadow psyche. A quote from the cards ' not all darkness is bad, not all light good' i love the positive energy and the feel of these rectangular cards with square corners, they fit nicely into my hands. I look forward to using them in readings.

I purchased these cards because I am a House of Night fan, and the supplemental materials are always a joy when it comes to series I like. I was stunned by how gorgeous these cards actually are. They are glossy and gorgeous, feeling solid. The box is also a good heft and weight, and doesn't feel cheap at all. The small book is very nice, and easy to read and understand. The art on each card is unique and delightful, and the silver edges give them a nice, classy touch. These cards are my new treasure, and if you're a HoN fan, I declare them to be a MUST have, even if you don't use them for any actual readings. Very, very pleased!

I expected less from this deck. It was so cheap and yet it is REALLY beautiful. the sides are coated with a silvery shine which makes them super classy. The readings are very spot on and I couldn't be happier. :)

This deck would be better if one card did not have 1 1/2" of the silver edge removed off of it. From the top right corner & down the right side it is dull white. So no matter where it is in the deck you can spot it and know which one it is immediately!

I collect tarot and oracle decks and this is by far one of my favorites ~ the pictures are gorgeous and the cards themselves are a joy to hold, heavy and shiny with silver edges ~ accurate readings too ~ I can't recommend this deck enough :)

odd. does not give good readings and is not clear at all. kind of gothic, which is fun, but too off for me.

these are a delight....easy to wrk with I find all of Colettes deck is the next natural step for me....she's a champion xx
