The Wolf and His Wife (Wolf Series Book 2)

SPOILERS Ok. I was so happy because it truly seemed both MCs did a lot of growth even with the push and pull. I wasn’t feeling a lot of chemistry from them in the first book and was a bit disappointed because I’ve become accustomed to Ms. Sky’s amazing couples. I was thrilled by the depth of passion Maverick and Arwen developed for each other. THEN... Maverick seriously screwed it up in the last 2 chapters! Honestly! I think he might be the most flawed and irredeemable antihero that Ms. Sky has ever written. I hate to say this but Maverick could have just pretended to cheat on Arwen. Maybe I read it wrong but it definitely seemed like he cheated. Ms. Sky could have written it in a way that Arwen thought he had, but he simply acted like he had cheated in order to put distance between them. Since we got confirmation of the infidelity from his POV there doesn’t leave much room for doubt. This might be the first of any series written by this author that I won’t finish. It would have been a 5 Star read. I’m actually so disgusted by those last 2 chapters I can’t give it above a 2.5 rating. The writing was impeccable and the character development riveting UNTIL IT WASN’T. Knowing myself I’ll probably still read the final book if for no other reason that I’ve been a loyal fan of this author’s work and I want to see Maverick raked through the hell I hope Arwen puts him through. I want to see this character beg and grovel. 2.5 Heartbroken Stars

Ms. Sky knows how to weave a story in such a way that there is emotion, suspense, love, steam, drama, and passion throughout. IGNORE the ridiculous spoiler-filled reviews. Ignore them!! I won’t put any spoilers because no one wants a book spoiled in a review. And, trust me, you WANT to read this series. The book picks up right where The Wolf and the Sheep left off, with Maverick and Arwen moving on, or attempting to. They both grow throughout this book...their passion for each other explodes and will melt your kindle (so be ready for some super hot sex scenes...very few authors write sex scenes the way Ms. Sky does...she hits it out of the park every time). Suspense builds, trust is tested, and Maverick and his Sheep (awwwww) grow together. I won’t spoil it but I will tell you that you will have no idea where the story is going. That is one thing I love about Penelope’s books...I never have any idea what is going to happen...it’s always a surprise. This book made me feel, though. It tugged at my heartstrings at times and it will at yours, too. This is an incredible series. It’s unputdownable. Buy it. Maverick and Arwen’s story is one you won’t soon forget. Now, to begin the long countdown until the conclusion. Siiiiigh.

First of all I just want to say that I began reading this book when it downloaded at 12:09AM and finished it at 4:35AM.I'm trying to write this while still gathering my thoughts. I knew immediately when I began reading this series that it was going to be different from Penelope's norm. Different definitely does NOT mean less in any way. I realize some readers immediately got their panties in a twist simply because these two characters were not immediately monogamous after a FORCED marriage. That in no way makes the entire trilogy bad, if anything it serves to show these two strangers becoming closer as they begin to get to know and care for each other. This second book delves deeply into the developing relationship between Arwen and Maverick. It contains all the feels, emotional pain, beginning friendship,affection, the beginnings of love, betrayal, you name it's all woven together in a fantastic way. It also has dark emotional pain and heartbreak between Maverick and his father, who has become essentially a heartless psychopath. Almost all of Maverick's a**holishness comes from this. The ending leaves the reader hanging which isn't a surprise in a story of this depth. Without revealing the cliffhanger ending I'll just say that Penelope's writing remains phenomenal. I absolutely loved this book and can't wait for the final book. Maverick may just loose the one thing he thought he never wanted. A perfect 5+ stars.

Arwen and Maverick they really seem to be becoming a real husband and wife type family, with real love and devotion. He would die for as he proves. And she for him as well. And when she writes a song about their love and sings it openly in public he loses it and thinks in his mind that he never said he loved her. Now shes asking for a divorce. Wonder what the out come will be? Just have to wait till next month to find out. Good story.

His father hated him, he hated his wife. Wanted both of them dead. The father told his son that he was a coward because he wouldn't put his wife 6 feet under. The father came to his sons home and tried to kill him. The husband started to get involved with his wife and the monster showed up wanting her for himself. They settled the war with a gun to their heads, taking each a turn to find out who was going to live. She fell in love, he loved her but couldn't tell her! Ended up bring 2 women in to his bed, bedding the two sluts, she was so hurt by it, she has definitely decided to leave him. The final story is coming up next in last book. Until then I will wait on my sit to finally find out what happens next. Enjoy Penelope Sky has outstanding talent stories, I have read all of her books. Excellent

So in the second installment they grew closer, as husbands and wives tend to do. He began to only want to have sex with her. He enjoyed all of his time with her. He even stopped using condoms with her. When she decided to express her feelings about him through a song she performed, he just shut down on her! He couldn’t take it. Totally rejected her love and invited 2 skanky women over for the night. Ugh! Ick! Gross! I thought Maverick was better than this! Now I must read the next one. The third one should give me the HEA...

Maverick is an ass! He doesn't know a good thing when he got it. Stern is exactly what he needs to heal his broken heart, after dealing with his douchebag of a father. I cannot believe what he did at the end of this book. He loves Arwen, but he's too stubborn to admit it. After what he did for her with Kamikaze, how could he not love her?! Arwen, has every right to leave him! I cannot wait to find out what happens in the next book.

I am not a fan of trilogies but this one is a winner. I am often bored with books two and three. That has not been an issue with these two books. I like the story and the characters. I am anxious to read the final book. I will be very disappointed if Arwen doesn’t make this man grovel big time. I understand she loves the man. I get it. He’s a dream in many ways but he needs to suffer. The reward will be great if she’s up to the task. I love these types of stories.

With all the threats, losing the relationship he had with his father, almost killing himself in a game of Russian roulette with a crazed enemy. Maverick is willing to throw all the hard work away because Arwen professed her love and gratitude to him. What a pansy. Then to do the unthinkable.

I like Arwen she is strong to bad Maverick is such a jerk . Maverick is cold to Arwen when things get complicated but at least he protects her the cliffhanger sucked but book 3 is out so no waiting. I still fill like the book is a little robotic I don't feel the characters emotions like I should I can't put my finger on exactly what is robotic about the book.

Just when I think this Author couldn’t possibly write another series as good as the last one there she goes and does it again ! Maverick and Arwen’s relationship is so intense caused by all the drama around them , but it brings them closer . The passion is scorching hot I didn’t want to miss a single word on this story. I can’t wait till the next installment is released and I made sure to pre order it !!

This book had heat to spare. I loved getting to read all the books this weekend. Amazing characters as well as all of the secondary characters. I also loved the setting. At times it felt we were in this country and at other time clearly Italy. I want more and more and more! denise bailey

Oh my god!!!! I am addicted to anything Penelope sky writes!!! This series is amazing and I love everything about it, but right now I'm really mad at maverick!!!!! I was literally yelling at my kindle and I called him every bad name I could think of lol.

Penelope has done it again. This book is of the charts. I think book 2 is so much better than 1. You find chemistry in this seroes..can't wait for the final book .

These books are worth every penny! I can't want for the third and final an book to come out!!! Wow! Just when I start feeling g all warm a d fuzzy for Mac he does or says something that makes me want to slap him! Go sheep!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and will recommend it to others. Well written, believable characters and kept my interest throughout the read. I look forward to receiving her next sequel to this in August.

There are not enough words to describe the writings of this author. The passion she shows in her words are real, bringing the characters to life. Both the wolf and the sheep are strong. But they also have their weakness for each other. All the feels in this series.

This series is getting better and better. I’m loving the drama and The Wolf and the Sheep. I was on pins any needles at one point and then getting mad at another point. So good

I really loved the first novel. But this one seemed a bit repetitive. A lot of slow progression with the plot. The romance scenes were usually boring. Not going to read the next book in the series.

Penelope sky never lets me down. Such an unbelievable story and I literally finished it in a day and a half because it was so good and I couldn’t put it down

I love the way Penelope Sky writes and the characters she creates. This book has All the emotional baggage and romance I enjoy reading. I wish the Lone Wolf came out sooner.

I couldn’t put it down and I love how these two have falling in love. What an amazing story line.

Okay, so I've literally just read the last line and I have no words. I'm speechless and I'm heartbroken. The chemistry between Arwen and Maverick grows throughout, with super hot steamy scenes. Loyalty is built up again, trust is regained and desire and lust are at an all time high for these two - until feelings are voiced. Arwen feels safe with Maverick, he's got a caring side that starts to show. He starts treating her like she's his wife - spoiling her, taking her to events. Maverick has got used to having Arwen around. He no longer feels the need to go looking for anyone else. She drinks scotch and smokes cigars - so his ideal woman, right? When Arwen's feelings are revealed, how will Maverick react? Will he reciprocate or mess it all up? The Wolf and His Wife is a mix of heart warming, heart pounding, heartbreaking stuff. At the minute, I'm kinda not liking Maverick but I'm loving how strong Arwen is. Where will Penelope Sky take this couples story in the final installment of this series - we'll have to wait and find out!

Just like how the headline says.... Loved how it was going the end threw me off. I loved how Maverick and Arwen grew not only as a couple but as individuals as well. *SPOILERS* Maverick and Arwen, once he got over Arwen doing the right thing by saving the wife and daughter of his mother's rapist and killer, their behavior shifted that of a true married couple. They consoled each other during their rough times and had explosive intimate moments (few non sexual moments). Arwen feels her husband's sadness the she risks herself to confront Caspian in hopes to make him realize what kind of man he became and mend the relationship between Caspian and his children. Unfortunately that backfired on her. Being the protector that he is, Maverick defended Arwen against his father (Caspian) and sinister man Kamikaze. In doing so, Kamikaze is killed in Russian Roulette face off with Maverick. During that time you see how much Arwen deeply she cares for Maverick enough to say she loves him and ends up writing a song to him. This is the part that throws me off. Once he heard the song Arwen she wrote for him he couldn't handle the fact that she loves him and thinks he's feels the same. He doesn't admit his true feelings for her and ends up avoiding her the rest of the night and all the next day. Maverick wanting to prove a point picks up 2 woman and takes them to bed with him. He sees the hurt in her eyes but he forces himself not to care and tends to his latest hookups. Arwen feels the betrayal of his infidelity so she chooses the next morning to harden herself and files for divorce leaving him. Things were going great for them and he ends up ruining a good thing

I have a problem with cheating, which is why I did not give it 5 Stars. The buildup to the final segment (Lone Wolf) was fantastic. The story. much like Sarah Winchester and her house, keeps building and building. New complications or twists happen frequently. Arwen seems to be doing her best to cope with her ever-changing situation. Maverick, however, runs hot and then cold and the littlest thing seems to set him off (he's a great character but nowhere near as awesome as Griffin and Bosco from the Lingerie series) . Caspian is still in the running for Worst Father Ever. I love the way the author really tortures some of her characters. The cliffhanger will leave you counting the days until Lone Wolf comes out. I want to thank the author for gifting me with a copy of her latest work and I reviewed it to bring this great author to the notice of others. If you don't care for cheating, grab this author's Lingerie, Buttons, or Banker series - they're all amazing (though I am very partial to the Lingerie series - Griffin is my absolute favorite character, ever)

When I started reading the Wolf series I knew Penelope Sky had created another fabulous world where the characters had struggles & strife with so many issues it leaves you wondering how in the world they would come out with a HEA or would they! Being basically bribed to marry a woman to keep her safe then falling for her, totally head over heels is not what Maverick ever wanted for his life. Can he deal with it and all the dangers it brings or will he let her go to face her fathers enemies alone? Arwen is a magnificent opera singer who is forced to marry a man who she doesn’t love but needs him to keep her safe. Falling in love with him is not what she wanted or even thought would happen but what can you do when he’s so irresistible you crave him with every breath you take. Their relationship has so much chemistry that you feel it through every page you read. Will we get the HEA or will we see their love be dragged over the rough edge of life? Can’t wait to see when this story will take this couple. Once again Penelope has given us a dark, twisted and fabulous read something she is so amazing at.

Although forced into the marriage, in this second installment of the series, Arwen and Maverick's emotions are intertwining and they are getting closer and closer to a real marriage. The bond between father and son is shattered when Kamikaze finds out the marriage is a farce. But one bullet sends the lovers on a whirlwind and secrets are revealed - but not all secrets make a marriage worth fighting for. Can the two figure things out? Or is this just a marriage set to destroy everything? With a storyline that had me on the edge of my seat and characters a cannot help but fall in love with, this once again is another win for Penelope Sky. I need the next book now!!

The story continues with the wolf and the sheep barely acknowledging each other.. Maverick feels betrayed at Arwen, who took a very personal matter into her own hands and with that he feels she can't be trusted. Arwen knew what she did was unforgivable but deep down she knew Maverick would have done the same if the circumstances were different. Getting the revenge on your mother's murder would do that. With the old threat from Arwen's father coming into play, and her father-in-law wanting her dead, she needs Maverick 's trust and alliance more than ever. Boundaries are crossed bringing the wolf and the sheep into a semi-understanding but not quiet back to being friends but possibly becoming truly man and wife. However no one shares the expectations of this relationship and feeling are tested, new revelations come up some good some not so great. When that new bond is broken, Maverick finds a unexpected solution but does his promise to Arwen's father still come in to play??? As the final chapter approaches and you read that last word on the page, you're going to get some feels, so many questions, and slowly due as you read the bulb for the next book and then see the release date.!!!! Penelope's book streak continues, another series under her belt that draws you in and yearning for the next book!!!!

Wow, I finished this book in a day. It would have been finished in hours but had to go to work lol. I couldn’t stop reading. This brings out so many emotions. I want to smack Maverick’s dad, Caspian on the back of his head. I truly hope he comes to his sense before it’s too late. I was hoping Arwen would be able to get through to him. I hope that at the end of this book Caspian would see the love that his son has for Arwen like the love he had for his wife, Maverick’s mother. It’s a shame that Maverick himself is too stupid, stubborn to see it himself. Again, he may realize it when it’s too late. Now, that Arwen asked for divorce. The ending of this book was truly sad, depressing. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to wait until Aug 20th for the next book. I can’t wait to read and see what will happen next into the characters lives. Maybe the one DeVille (Lily) that has show much presence can help her brother and father to see the light before they lose to being a family and be loveless forever. She might be the one to step up and be strong to tell the two to knock off their harshness, cold exterior and to see what they could have if they would just allow love into their hearts.

Can this arranged marriage survive? Can either one of them survive what they are facing? OMG! Maverick is sex on two legs! Yet, he is so cold and withdrawn... Arwen is beginning to realize how protective he is of her and what he is willing to risk to help her. Is he her hero or her torturer? Caspian is dead set on seeking his revenge. He will go as far as he needs to satisfy his rage. Kamikaze is also relentless in his pursuit of Arwen. If money is not enough to buy her, then he is willing to get physical in order to own her. What will Maverick do? All I can say, this series is getting more and more gripping with each book. I can hardly wait to read the final installment The Lone Wolf to see what is in store for this couple. That last title has me in goosebumps wondering what will happen next! I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing a copy with me.

Now, this book I really loved. It had everything I like in a book: amazing, hot sexy scenes, character growth, suspense and of course the stupid man. Why, why, why Maverick? Arwen has become my favorite character. She is strong and growing as a person and wife. Maverick on the other hand becomes weak and falls back to old ways. Can’t wait to see what happens! Maverick and Arwen's story continues with more action than I could have anticipated. This is well written and the characters are so realistic! Penelope Sky continues to be in my top 10 of fave authors!! I love these two characters even more in this book. They started as a sham couple, but seem to grow to really love each other. They both go out of their way to show to each other that they are devoted but can it last? Maverick is still so tormented with the current relationship he has with his father that he does not seem to know whether he should move on to develop other relations. I love his commitment to his wife in regard to his protection; but can he move past losing his family to make sure she is now his new family? Can't wait for book three to see what happens next!!! I would give this more stats if I could yall seriously !! I have loved every series Ms Sky has ever written but this one is quickly becoming a favorite.....you stay on the edge of your seat in a way because you are never sure exactly where things are going to go...and the way she weaves the story, you really feel like you know these characters and you can feel their emotions...this book helped get me through some of the worst pain I have ever felt in my entire life and then emergency back surgery as well, that's how great of an author Ms Sky is....do yourselves a favor and read this series....it will NOT disappoint !!

When Arwen is almost kidnapped, Maverick comes to her rescue. Come to find out Kamikaze is the one that almost took her. But when Maverick finally takes care of the Kamikaze issue, then Arwen is finally free of the awful man. Arwen is falling in love with Maverick and when she tell him, he becomes distant from Arwen. Why doesn't he just tell her that he loves her too? Is he that scared to let his true feelings be known? He needs to quit acting like his abusive father and become a better man before he looses Arwen for good. This series is definitely a good one for Penelope. But I've loved all her books so far.

This is the 2nd book in the wolfe series. I'm loving this storyline and love how all her series are different. This was an arranged marriage for protection. This book starts of with Arwen and Maverick getting closer but a hold on the trust due to Arwen going behind Mavericks back a 2nd time. She has good intentions both times but they fall short both times and causes more problems for them. Just when Maverick starts opening up and showing more feelings Arwen makes her feelings known in front of many people and scares Maverick off. The book has a cliff hanger. I'm hoping in the next one the relationship between Maverick and his father can start to grow back and that Maverick realizes his feelings for Arwen before it's too late. Cant wait for the next one.

I am heartbroken after finishing this book. I went from being happy and excited to nervous to sappy to sad. This one put me through the wringer. I dont know if I can patiently wait for the next book. I loved the relationship development between Arwen and Maverick. She made her way back into his good Grace's but then, well, they kind of both blew it. It was nice to get to see a little more of Maverick's sister too. And it was good for Arwen to get a little closure where Kamikaze was concerned. I definitely enjoyed this book and was through it before I knew it. Another great read!

I truly was so excited about the second book and it did not disapoint! There was so much suspense and steam throughout the book that I didn't have a chance to put this book down. I believe that Maverick and Arwen are both growing and building their chemisrty in this second book that their trust in each other finally starts to get somewhere. Arwen really starts to grow huge feelings towards Maverick that its so romantic and emotional to read. The ending though really got me because you think they are starting to get into a good place when BAMMM! That cliffhanger OMG!!!!!

Wow, just WOW! My emotions, like this story, are all over the place. Maverick and Arwen have sucked me in to their vortex. Money, hate, vengeance, love, suspense, horror. These are just some if the things taking place in the first two books in this series. Just when I think it’s ok to like Maverick, he proves what a major ass he can be. And I have loved Arwen from the start and my heart breaks for her for so many reasons. I am off to book three and a sleepless night because I have to see where this will end up.

The Wolf and his Wife was hands down a heart stopping book! I hated to have to put it down! Initially when I started reading this series I didn’t see how Maverick and Arwen were going to work out. But if course Penelope was able to make magic happen. Now that Kamikaze is gone the only other sleeping demon should be Caspian right? Who knows how many people Arewns father really screwed over and if others will come out of the woods for revenge. I hope there is a few more books to come, I’m not ready for things to be over lol! I can’t wait for The Lone Wolf!

The drama and suspense just keeps building and building as soon as you think you've got a handle on what's going on another wrench is thrown in I cannot wait to see how things unfold in book 3 I'm beyond thrilled this author is taking us on a different path than her other books as amazing as the Barsetti's are it's exciting to explore something new and this series does not disappoint the characters are finding their way through a screwed up situation and building a bond that hopefully withstands the cantankerous ways of the supporting characters

Arwen and Maverick grew closer and closer in this book. You could see how Maverick especially let his walls down. And what he did for Arwen with the Kamikaze situation was utterly crazy. I am patiently waiting until Maverick falls completely on his butt, head over heals, for Arwen. I love when the H is utterly against love and wham! And Penelope Sky writes the best H’s that fall for the perfect girl. And this ending... Some will not be fans, but it’s exactly what I would expect from Maverick. Can’t wait for the next book!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book as I have every book of Penelope Sky that I’ve read. I can see this story line, with Arwen and Maverick, going so many ways. I love how Penelope added the suspense with other characters right when we thought it was about to be just a love story. I love that she doesn’t allow the reader to just assume the story has ended, but instead throws a curveball and changes everything. I absolutely love Arwen and Maverick and their ups and downs. Despite the ending and everything, I’m rooting for them to overcome their obstacles. Penelope Sky hasn’t disappointed me yet. The Wolf and His Wife is an awesome book. I can’t even start without saying what a great author Ms. Penelope is!! I love this series, it’s about two people who are FORCED into a marriage, while both still healing themselves from family issues. Arwen is slowly tearing down the walls of Marvick?? Can she totally change him, or will he yet lose someone else he loves. Marvick is a jerk, but totally falling under Arwen spell. The book ends in a cliffhanger of course ,but that’s what keeps up coming back for more. 😊 Enjoy!!

This is the second book in this series which will be a three book series. I love this book and this series. I’m definitely a fan of Penelope Sky’s writing and this book is no different. Her books are a little dark in the best possible way. This series is fabulous. The characters and the premise of the book are different than any other book that I’ve read, and I’ve read a lot! Maverick is the kind of guy that you love and love to hate. There are so many ups and downs in this story that you never know what’s going to happen next. I’ve loved the first 2 books in this series and can’t wait for the final book!

The Wolf and His Wife is the second book in this series and growth seems to be the predominant theme for this read. Arwen and Maverick develop their relationship from book 1 to the point that it seems they really are a true married couple. However, things are not always as they seem and little twists are thrown in to make you want to shake each of the characters. And of course there is the suspense part of the storyline that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Can’t wait for the next book!

Wow... I loved this book. I am enjoying this series. The book picks up right where The Wolf and the Sheep left off, with Maverick and Arwen moving on, or attempting to. I see them both grow throughout this book. Their chemistry, the passion they have for each other explodes. The Wolf (Maverick) and his Sheep (Arwen) grow together. You will have a roller coaster of emotions. I won’t spoil it. But you be will anxiously waiting for the next book. Another great book. You will not be disappointed. Excellent work Penelope Sky.

Another über-alpha male who falls in love but doesn't know how to say it or afraid to admit it. Maverick clearly has feelings for Arwen by the way he protects her. C'mon, he was willing to die when he accepted Kamikaze's game of Russian Roulette. And I thought, "Yeah, this is the moment! They belong together!" But nah, Maverick turned around to do something dumb after hearing Arwen's new song (she's professing her love for him.) But instead of accepting the truth and loving her back in return, he brought two bimbos in the house to hurt her! Gosh, that's mean! Honestly, I don't blame Arwen for what she did in the end. She deserves more. But those last two chapters made me cry. I hope the last installment brings HEA for both of them. However, Penelope is such a creative writer, except for plots, twists and turns!

This review contains spoilers! Maverick and Arwen both have grown a lot this this book!! Arwen definitely showed when she need her “wolf”. Arwen is a very strong woman except for when it comes to needing Maverick! Until the last couple chapter where Maverick acts like a complete ass. I do like that Maverick stepped up and decided to protect his wife on more than one occasion! The Russian roulette was super intense!! The way it was described I could feel every emotion from everyone in the room!! Overall this book was great. Can’t wait to see what happens now the Arwen asked for divorce.... Great read definitely worth the tome and money.

So let me start of by saying, I'm really happy I didn't read any reviews for The Wolf and His Wife before I read it. I loved book 1 and specifically Maverick. Maverick wasn't your stereotypical Sky hero, but book 2 let me expecting more from him. I'm not going to spoil why and I have faith that it will be redeemed in book 3. All together the book was good and I loved seeing the growth between Arwen and Maverick. The one highlight of this book is that there is so much suspense that it left me turning pages. But the ending is a sight cliffhanger and it definitely left me with my mouth agape and in shock.

I could barely put it down it was so amazing!!!! from the first word to the last i loved every minute of it!! All of the different events that happened and the way he was trying to deny his feelings for her! I can't believe that he would be so dumb to pull a stunt like that after what she did but men are crazy! I can't wait to see what is going to happen in the next book!! I am really hoping that the relationship with his father can somehow be salvaged even though his father does not deserve a second chance to be a father!! What an amazing read!!

This is the second book in the series, and it does not disappoint. Arwen and Maverick are working on finding a middle ground to start after she goes behind his back to do what she feels is the right thing to do. He forgives her and they begin the next chapter and the trials start again. Arwen acknowledges her feelings and Maverick runs from his and does something that she finds unforgivable. Cant wait for book 3 to see if they can find each other again.

I must say mommy dearest ain't got nothing on papa caspian..jesus..how cold can you get...the outcome of the Russian roulette I knew what was coming then you surprised me by kamikaze killing himself anyway...I didnt like Arwen whining behavior during the whole ordeal..I would had thought she would hold up a little better...overall...I love the book..really disappointed in Maverick and what he did towards the end...man up....typical of men to run when true affections start to show... Now I have to wait until August to see how this story will end...or better yet...what happens in between..

This is the second book in this series and let me just tell you that it's just as good maybe even better than the first. Anything that Penelope Sky writes sucks you in with the first page and doesn't let you go till the last page. And this book doesn't disappoint. She knows how to make you fall in love with a character you don't want to, but you do anyway... then he goes and does sobering so stupid you want to jump into the book and slap him silly.... Now you have to ask yourself will their relationship survive? Can't wait till the next book to see if he redeems himself.

I must say that I enjoyed this book more than the first. It of course picked up right where we left off and quickly escalated into a lot of chaos. There's always that inner struggle between Maverick and "Sheep". We know that deep down inside they both love each other, but are fighting their feelings. I can't wait to see what the next book has in store. We have to wait for another month which is a bummer.

Wow is all I can say!!! There was so many ups and downs in this book. And I felt like I was experiencing every single emotion possible. I will say this much the build-up to the final segment is going to be fantastic. I can't wait to see what's to come for the final book in the series. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining. So far, I cant seem to get the characters out of my head, even when I'm not actively reading, I'm still thinking of them. I love how Penelope has such a gift, she pulls you in and makes you feel like you truly know each character. Ms. Sky is my hands down favorite author, I've read everything shes written, that being said this book is so different from her others, good different, I love all her works, ita nice to have these subtle changes! August cant come soon enough!!!!!

The story continues. Arwen and Maverick joined together by unconventional means. How does the Wolf protect his Sheep when he is the predator? When love is foreign? The continual development of their relationship the reader is drawn in to it. Will Maverick do anything to protect her? Or will he be his worse enemy? I cannot wait to see how this one ends.

I have to say that I have been a huge fan of Penelope since the Buttons series. But I have to be honest this series was not what I was expecting. There were moments that I thought “these characters are great, really complex” but then there were moments/chapters that left me feeling like “was that really necessary?” The third book should be very interesting...

Okay I don’t even know where to begin! First off I can not wait until the next book comes out! The book keeps you on your toes. You can clearly tell that Maverick loves Arwen and because of all he’s had to go through in life he doesn’t know how to process it. I was completely shocked by the ending I didn’t except Maverick to actually bring home other woman. My heart broke with Arwen. It’s such a good read and I can not wait to read the next!!! Words can't describe how I'm feeling right about this book. This is only the second book in this series and i can't wait for the last. The raw emotions in this book literally gave me goosebumps. When Arwen was crying I wanted to cry with her. When Maverick was upset I was upset. Omg i can't wait to see what happens in the final book. The last 4-5 chapters had me up for hours. I kept going back and re reading those. Ugh!! The feelings i have after the last two chapters have me crying right now honestly.

As much as I loved the first book in this series I loved the second one MORE. The chemistry is present and the story kept me on an emotional rollercoaster. Keep the books and especially the small series coming. This one is different from the last and keeps me on edge. Can't wait for the final book of the Wolf series!!

This second book in this series was more than I expected. I read this book in one day. I couldn’t put it down. Arwen and Maverick are married, but don’t necessarily act like husband and wife. Arwen is wanted by a bad man thanks to her father, but Maverick protects her. He has chosen her over others. They become closer and act like a true married couple. The ending will have you wanting more and I can assure you that August will not come soon enough.

Man this book had me on pens and needles you can feel the emotions as though it is all happening to you !!! Arwen is so strong to put herself out there and then realize her worth and Maverick is a douche I am trying to figure out if his father will ever become human or stay a monster I can’t wait for the next book

I was so happy that things where working out great for them and then he has to go and mess things up. My heart broke for her cause she really loved her husband and he loves his wife as well but he has to go mess things up and now who knows if Arwen will ever take him back. This series is so different from Penelope’s other books, two strangers being into a forced marriage and the slow burn between Maverick and Arwen. Just when you think the two of them are getting close Penelope throws a heart pounding cliff hanger. It’s going to be a difficult month until she takes out of our misery!

I can't even! Why! This book grabs you and is packed with so,much edge of your seat emotion. I can say I had actually tears in my eyes many tines. Penelopes writing finds a way to just get inside your head. She is the only writer I can say I have read every one of her books multiple times! You have to get this series. I am counting the days till the last book.

I’m at a loss for words with this story I just can’t believe how I was pulled in. This story hits you with some interesting twists and turns I few I was happy for and some i was just speechless. Just wow! I could not put this down. Penelope has done it again yet has made it even harder to wait for the last book. The love that is blossoming is amazing to watch. The way this book ends with the betrayal has me in knots. Could not sleep because I am thinking of all the ways the series can end.

The two main characters are getting more acquainted with each other after being pushed into the marriage. I had no idea what was going to happen after about half way through the book. And the ending of this book I didn’t see coming, I can’t wait for the next!

The one thing I like about this authors writing is that it always sucks me in. Page after page there is story and it feels complete. Ahhhh the ending! I could feel my nervousness because I didn’t want it to be real or true. I can’t wait for the next book!

Omg so many emotions with this book. I am still in cloud 9 with their story. The story just suck you in. One minute you are in page 5 then you are in page 200. The whole time I was like what going to happen now. He is so conflicted with his emotions that it is like why can you tell her that you love her. I need to know what happens now. This series from Penelope sky is definitely different from her other series while the main characters had alot of personal growth from the first to second book. I was so happy with how the story was unfolding and then the last two chapters totally broke my heart. I cant wait to read the third though... Penelope Sky will have you on an emotional rollicoster.

Health issues prevented me from reading this book sooner but it was worth the wait. This was so much better than book one. The couple who got married for convenience in book one were serial cheaters. In this book they seemed to have grown. The chemistry between them is more visible in this book. Way to go Penelope! On to book three.

This book is very deep and even pretty dark. Highly emotional and shows the extent of brokenness of the characters. It is impossible to put down! It definitely leaves you intrigued on where the story is going to go from here.

Omg that ending I wasn’t expecting that at all. I absolutely love Arwen can’t wait to see how she acts when she out on her own now. And I really hope maverick don’t sign the papers and get his wife back.

Wow! You saw their relationship grow and they sacrificed for each other and then bam! Lots of nail biting in this one as the story continues It kept me on the edge of my seat and I can’t wait for the conclusion!

The anticipation of what comes from every move that Arwen and Maverick make is overwhelming to say the least. Once you start reading, you cant get away from the story.

I really loved how the relationship grew between Arwen and Maverick. The challenges and obstacles he faced for her are so heartwarming!

Excited to see how this unfold in the final novel. The last two chapters were unexpected and expected at the same time. I was surprised he actually cheated on Arwen instead of it looking like he did.

This time the characters took me on a different turn than what the author normally does. Wondering what's going to happen next cause the ties are all broken in my eye
