I first purchased this book years ago. Filled with principles & truths to consider in your journey. It will always have a place near my desk. Also makes a great graduation gift!

Unlike other vocational/success books in this genre this book is supported Biblically and is the best book I have read on the subject. Other books are filled with psychology, humanism, self-help, and existentialism while this book is filled and supported from the Bible. I would strongly encourage the reader to buy copies to give away and to study this book in depth and highlight and write on its pages like an intense test is coming up. Truly this book is that good! A great work and one of the best of the year for me. Vocational books will teach you to seek out your passions and pleasures, while this book teaches the reader to seek to do God's will and that is success Biblically.

Dr. Stanley has a way to help you understand the Lord's message. Please try his books and find the answers that you need.

So many excellent points and chapters in this book. I underlined and journaled and pondered and prayed over many of them. I read it and am in the process of re-reading it. Many of Dr Stanley's phrases and paragraphs from this book became prayers for me. I'd write them on a 3 x 5 card and add them to my prayer list... they were that good! The book is inspiring and helped reignite great hope and faith as to how things really could be and how God would like them to be for my life. Get it! It's that good.

I’ve read a lot of success books but this one is a blend of walking in faith and practical application. It offers a great perspective on how God cares about our success in life, be it family, financial, or spiritual.

I want to thank God for allowing Dr. Charles Stanley to pen such powerful truths about promotions.

I Enjoyed reading this book. I will refer to it often as I pursue God's goals for my life because it is only then that I will be truly successful. Definitely worth reading.

Great personal development Christian book

It's Charles Stanley what else is there to say, I seen him live in ocean grove, NJ. what a great speaker and a blessing

I really enjoyed Dr. Stanley's book about success. In it he gives a biblical perspective about success, and how to achieve it. I like the fact that he uses many different examples of success from the Bible, and tells you how to apply these lessons to your own life. This book has really made me take a hard look at my life, and the goals I have set for myself. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a Christian perspective on success. Having said that, unlike others reviewers, this is not the best "how-to" success book that I have read. The Success Journey by John Maxwell provides better "tools" and "methods" for how to set goals, and achieve success. But Maxwell's book lacks a Christian perspective on the subject. Therefore, I recommend that those readers looking for books to help you plan your course along the pathway to success, look into both books, John Maxwell's and Dr. Stanley's.

Once again, Stanley has written a down-to-earth book with practical advice. The Lord's definition and way of success radically differs from the world, and Stanley encourages us to focus on how precious we really are to God. Among the many excellent points Stanley offers are: 1. God's ways are different from the world's ways. 2. Principles of goal-setting. 3. Ask God for guidance and leadership when goal-setting. 4. Keys to good time management. 5. Time wasters to avoid. 6. Keys for successful believing. 7. Principles about persistence. 8. Trust God to order your steps and arrange the details of your life! Again, these are just a few of the many excellent topics covered in the book. Highly recommended and is an excellent supplement to the Bible!

This book by Dr. Stanley is like God's roadmap to success. The book reads like a how to book for success. Dr. Stanley doesn't just talk pie in the sky theology that only seminary students understand. He breaks down the issue into several bite size chunks to make the issue easier to understand. He then gives the reader a workable plan of implementation to make success happen. The material is also written in such a way it is easy to understand. The material flows easily from one subject to the other. There is one thing that makes this book radically different than the tons of other self help books. This one is very grounded in the word of GOD. Each of his suggestions come from a verse in the bible. To me such references give his insights the ultimate validation.

This book is head and shoulders above any "success" book I have ever read. I have a virtual library of success literature by all the familiar authors, Norman Vincent Peale, Og Mandino, Zig Ziglar, et. al., but after adding this book to my collection I might as well throw all those other books away. Dr. Stanley does a splendid job of giving you the "nuts and bolts" of what it takes to live a successful life, presented in a straightforward, no-nonsense style. Unlike so much of the self-help junk on the market today, this book gives you PRACTICAL advice on HOW to achieve "success God's way." Buy it, read it, absorb it, and live it!

Stanley's book is based on important reminders that ultimately our successes should be characterized by goals set with God in mind and that it is too legalistic to apply a cookie cutter mold and say every Christian will become a pauper or must be poor in order to be humble. Clearly being a servant doesn't always mean that we must be struggling financially as well. The important thing to remember is that success in the eyes of the world however is measured differently than in the eyes of God and Stanley does a good job of reminding Christians that if you approach your faith in a way that you are determined to define your successes in a way apart from considering what God wants for you life than we still hold ourselves to be the centre of the universe and not God. I give it four stars only because i try to reserve five starts for my favorite books, but this is definetly a worthwhile read.

As Christians we all tend to just coast through life in the pursuit to "be like Christ", but never have any real goals that we strive for. This book helps you define goals for all areas of your life and motivate you to work towards them. It doesn't matter if you are a missionary, a stay-at-home mom or a corporate worker, this book will have a major impact in your life. It sure did for me! I highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed this book! It was more of a devotional book than anything else, touching on the principles of reaching true happiness, success, and evils such as greed and being negative. Success God's Way reminded me that in order to have true success one has to put God first and everything else will fall into place. I have now adapted one of the techniques that Dr. Stanley stated in the ladder part of his book, which is prioritize the initiatives and goals that you want to accomplish for the next day on a flash card before you go to bed and then put it in your pocket throughout the whole day. It is amazing how much more one can stay on task. The true examination I believe that this book illustrates is are one's goals Godly purposed goals striving to go along with God's plan, or are they individualized goals that do not fit in God's initiative, which makes their purpose lost and unmeaningful? Definately read Success God's Way!!!!!

Dr. Stanley's book came at a perfect time for me. We are a "Self-help" world now. With several books published on positive thinking, etc....someone has finally addressed positive thinking from the Christian perspective. This book outlines "how-to's" to become a success, but shows you how these principles are not anything new. They are God's "how-to's." I would recommend this book to anyone. This is one of those few applicable books you will ever purchase. There is nothing "watery or cotton-candy" about this book. Nothing but solid biblical truths! Dr. Stanley shows you how to plug your dream into God's scheme!

This book really hit home at a time when I was really struggling with goals and motivation! It provides a great roadmap for Christian success!

I've always found Dr. Stanley to be spot on and this is no different. At 62, I'm still looking to be successful God's way, not mine and I so appreciate how he puts into words those thoughts that encourage me. If you're a young person, please read this! But, young or old, the points are well laid out.

What an author. Dr. Stanley grasps the purpose for goals in this book so well that I could not help but start setting them in my life immediately. As a result, I have not drank in excess for over a year. Primarily because I'm too busy having a "go" at accomplishing my goals. It's important to note that they need to take part in filling our lives with needful action. Action that makes our day our years and our lives.

This is a thought-provoking, inspiring book on living a more meaningful, successful, and fulfilling life. Dr. Stanley's suggestions are both inspirational and practical.

This is the BEST book I've ever read on the subject of success. Charles Stanley, in his usual writing fashion, has again made a complicated subject for most christians, easy to understand, and totally biblical. I have advised most of my colleagues to invest in this wonderful instructional book. Thanks Dr. Stanley, and thank you Lord, for giving us this dynamic teacher.

Dr Charles Stanley guides us to true happiness on the “Narrow Path” . Success while staying committed to God. Life on Earth doesn’t last forever, don’t waste your time lost in the world’s finite culture. God wants so much more for all His children. Have an amazing life in Him Who loves you.

This man was sent by God for those of us not fully understanding the Bible and things that go with. Ive learned so much by listening to all Dr Stanley's works and my life is better for it.
