From NY Times and USA Today bestselling author, Jana DeLeon, the third book in the Ghost-in-Law mystery/romance series:

Family can be the death of you…..

Who killed Helena Henry? The shorter list may be who didn’t want her dead.

Psychic Raissa Bordeaux thought she’d left her former life behind, hidden away in her eclectic shop in the French Quarter. But when a child is kidnapped and Helena Henry appears, Raissa risks her true identity by offering the police help with the case.

New Orleans Detective Zach Blanchard doesn’t believe in psychic hooey and is certain Raissa didn’t get her facts about the case from a crystal ball. He suspects her of something besides being the most intriguing and attractive woman he’s ever come across.

But when Raissa’s secrets put her in danger, can Zach convince her to trust him with the truth before it’s too late?

Jana DeLeon Does It Again

Where has this gal been hiding for so long? She is absolutely one of the best writers I've come across in a long, long, time. Her stories are creative, engaging, with well developed characters and places so you come to know and love (and detest) the good (and bad) characters and feel for their circumstances. I'm not sure why she is lumped into the "Romance Novel" category, because her ability as a detective story writer is second to none. I was devastated when we lost Robert Parker, but here comes Jana, with even a bit of occult thrown in. What a kick! She is funny, interesting, exciting, and engaging. You owe it to yourself to check this and all of her other novels out. You never knew Louisiana like this. A big pair of thumbs up for a great novelist!

Great fun!

I really didn't think I would love these books. But I do. I got the first one for free and found the cozy mystery with a romance attached struck the right balance to be a fun, quick read. The main characters (Maryse, Sabine, and Raissa) are interesting women. Helena is a hilarious side-kick; she's like the crankier ghostly version of Lula from the Stephanie Plum books. Anyway, learning more about the mysterious Raissa was fun and watching her be such a badass was even better. These are great books if you're looking for a fun read with both supernatural and romance elements.

Psychic, suspense and our friendly mother in law ghost

Book 3 of the Ghost in law series: Psychic Raissa Bordeaux of New Orleans is willing to risk her life to find the child abductor of the granddaughter, Melissa of the Mayor of New Orleans. Ms. Bordeaux left her former life behind, when she arrived in New Orleans and has been hiding away in her psychic shop in the French Quarter. Ms. Bordeaux goes to the police department and meets Detective Zach Blanchard, and informs him she may have information that would lead to finding Melissa. Being a complete skeptic of anything he doesn’t understand suspects Raissa of knowing more than she told and part of the kidnapping. Just as Raissa begins to look into details from her FBI files on other child abduction, enter Helena Henry, the mother in law ghost from the other books. In this story Helena does a lot to help find information on the abductor and with time Detective Blanchard begins to realize that Riassa’s life is in danager and can he find the abductor and who is threating Riassa before it’s too late. What I really liked about this book is the other characters you have been introduced to in book 1 and 2 are also part of this book. It’s hard to write more of a review because you will begin to give too much of the story line away. Just to say, it’s just as great as the other two books.

Beware of Helena

The Mudbug Series are delightful. You have a little of everything in them..Each book is a delight to pick-up where the last one ended...Helena just keeps changing her crazy outfits to fit her mood. She is one crazy loon and is a ghost on top of it. You don't want Helena popping up around you, you could possibly be the next one to close to dying.....

Super fun books

I’ve loved all this series so far, but I believe “Showdown in Mudbug” is my favorite so far. Extremely complicated, detailed & very surprising to the marvelous ending. I am thrilled to have still more of this series to read! Already bought all 6 with the hope Ms DeLeon will write more of them for us to laugh & tear up over.

The Mudbug series by Jana DeLeon is a great read!

It was a good book, but I preferred the first book in this series. Trouble in Mudbug had me hooked, so naturally I had to read the others. While I still enjoyed this book, the characters, and the plot, the original set the bar high. I will say the author created some wit, humor, suspense, and romance all in one read, which is fantastic and talent on paper. I really enjoy the multidimensions of each character and the twist thrown in to keep the suspense going. If you are looking for an easy, engaging, summer read, this is a great series to start.

Not her best writing

I purchased three different titles of this Ghost-in-Law Series based on having read and enjoyed three titles of her other series. I refuse to purchase anymore of the G-in-L due to the obvious formulaic structure; poor editing by the author; erratic characterization of the ghost; forced humor and general all-around poor writing. These appear to be self-published books so I put all the blame on the author. Don't waste your money on the G-in-L series.

From beginning to end you will be entertained I promise!

I love all of her books and once I start reading I don’t even want to put it down to go to sleep at night until I am finished. I wish I didn’t let read so fast! All of her books are funny and entertaining as well as heartwarming. You’ll never regret buying any of her books I guarantee.

Showdown in Mudbug

Showdown in Mudbug is the last of the Mudbug/Ghost-in-law trilogy that I purchased from Amazon. As with the first two, the story is fun to read . The language as I mentioned earlier is edgy, and the one obligtory sexual contact is rather warm! As you read you begin to like the ghost despite her annoying ways. This third book tells the story of the third lady(a fake psychic) who solves a mystery and meets the love of her life. As you read you will recognize the familiar story form, but you will still be surprised by the plot. Not only that, but you'll discover new facts about the Mother-in-law and who murdered her. There was a hint given in one of the earlier stories, but you may or may not have caught it or remember it. Read the final book with tongue in cheek and one eye closed. Easy to read; easy to swallow, easy to digest. Try it ,you'll probably like it, but read books 1 and 2 first.

Showdown in Mudbug

Running hiding from the FBI and a criminal element . She gets involved with trying to solve a kidnapping of a young girl. She went to the local police to try to help give them some info and insite to the crime. After telling them a story of how she got the info they thought she was a joke. Read the interesting story of how things got worse.

Really does keep getting better with each new book

I'm not sure how it's possible, but I truly believe each book in the series seems to get better with each new story. I love the characters, they are so distinctive, well written, and believable. It's time well spent trying to figure out the mystery, while laughing hysterically at the antics of Helena, who in the beginning of the series, made you want to strangle her, and know, after getting to know her, she's become endearingly annoying, yet always laugh out loud funny. I can't say enough about this series, it's truly a great story, that continues to get better with each installment. Do yourself a favor and read the entire series, you will be happy you did.

MUDBUG

This is the second time I have read these 3 books on the antics of 3 friends in Mudbug. I found the series quite refreshing and full of humor and somewhat a spoof on "psychic" abilities. It was a fun read for me. And could such things happen in the bayous surround New Orleans? Why not? I thought the author did a great job with the dialogue and kept me turning the pages again and not skipping pages as I read. I will read more of DeLeon's books just because I think they are fun. I thought she carried all 3 characters in the 3 books and thought there was no confusion going from one book to the next. I loved the ghost Helena. In my circle of friends, talking to the dead is not an unusual occurrence!

I liked it, but something is missing...

An interesting book no doubt, it kept my attention and had an appropriate ending that wrapped up the series in a(n almost) neat bow. However, a book can be appropriate but still leave you wanting more. Something is missing from this book: the "thing" that made me fall in love with the first two books in the series. I don't know how to describe it, but the final book wasn't like the others. Despite that - it was nice to see how the series finished and the characters interacted - all the important characters from books 1 and 2 were present - and I loved seeing their lives continue instead of the "happily ever after" ending some books aim for. This author has made a fan, looking forward to reading more of her work.

Enjoy the book

I really enjoy the books, the plots hold my interest, Only one thing that bothers me is the bad language and using my Lord’s name in vain, I skim over the bad language. Otherwise Kudos Jana for a very spell bound book. God Bless, be safe Margie

#3 Raissa's Story

What do you get when you put a "psychic," a police detective, and a ghost on a case of kidnapped girls? A really awesome book with all sorts of twists and turns that you never expect until they happen. As the third book of the Ghost-in-law series Deleon out does her other two books with this one. She includes murder, kidnapping, aliens, sick doctors, and of course Helena Henry. "Showdown in Mudbug" is a terrific book about learning to accept your past, trusting the ones that you love, and sometimes having to say goodbye to people that have touched your life in ways you never imagined! Please check out this entire series! I know you will love it as much as I did! You will not be disappointed!

Wpn't read this series again.

I found the grammar errors occurring frequently a distraction to reading the book. It appeared as if the book was written and spell check was used so wrong words were not pointed out as they would be spelled correctly. It is not relaxing to read and have to redo the sentence so it makes sense. I have purchased other books by this author and never had the same editing issues.

Beware of Mudbug

The Ghost-In-Law books that I have read I found to be hysterical. The ghost in question, Helena, pops up at the most inopportune times. She can't go to the other side until she finds out who killed her, and once she does, she still can't go. Visit Mudbug, LA, and find out what the fun is all about.

Crazy happenings in Mudbug

If it wasn’t for Helena’s ghost this would be a boring story, but it was packed full of laughs, suspense, gangsters, rogue doctors and the police investigating missing children.

Number 3 and still loving it!

I will say this was my least favorite of the three books I've read so far. However that being said I did enjoy it...I plan to continue reading the rest of the series and probably more books written by Ms. DeLeon. I love her style of writing!

Another fun & exciting mystery!

This story had lots of twists and turns to keep you guessing til the end. This is the 3rd book in the series & I've enjoyed them all👍

What's Happening in Mudbug?

Jana DeLeon is so creative. The stories she writes are amazing and have a lot of imagination. This story doesn't disappoint! Enjoy!

Helena, Raissa, Zach and the Finale

Wonderful book!!!!!!!! All I can say is Raissa lives a very interesting life between her running from the "family" and her dressing up antics I was very entertained! Zach other than a damn good detective he's also very hot!!! Raissa gave me enough adventure to last through out the book. Helena was well Helena!!! but I love her she has a sharp tongue and a snappy dresser. I loved the way the author sumed up the loose ends and tied everything together. Hank did get his act together and he changed he is a good man after all!!! Wish the mystery series didn't end

Funny

This is a good story line. Not too much over the top on the paranormal. Very light hearted and has a good story line and plot design.

HILARIOUS

I absolutely love Jana Deleon and all of her work! This particular series is hilarious! You won’t want to put it down! These books come pretty fast and never flawed. Definitely read her other series as well!

An Ok Read

I liked this book but thought it was much the same as the first 2 books of the series..... girl in trouble, hunky rescuer, some mysterious killer lurking in the shadows and a ghost riding interference. There were so many twists and turns and unexpected happenings that I wondered whether the author was just trying to be too clever. Having said that, the characters were all likeable and it was good to see the three books all tied together and unresolved questions from prevoius Mudbug books answered. Overall a light, fun read if that is what you are looking for.

Fun, lighthearted read

I was new to this author and started with Trouble in Mudbug - it was free and I thought, "Why not?" I fell in love with this series and I'm now moving on to try the author's other novels. The Mudbug series is pure, indulgent fun. The novels have plenty of bold and brave women to make anyone proud to be female, with enough chick-lit type romance and to keep it light and breezy. The stories are funny and the author somehow manages to keep each novel new and interesting. Each story centers on a main character, who inadvertently finds herself caught in the middle of a major crime or mystery. The character relies on herself, her friends and an intriguing new man to solve the mystery, catch the bad guys and learn a little about herself along the way. The characters are lovable and relatable, while the mysteries add intrigue. Overall, these books are great fun and really funny.

Helena just won't go away . . . why?

What I like most is the author's writing style . . . It's simple and it flows. Helena the ghost that just won't go away is another good reason to keep reading. Jana Deleon knows how to do it.

Ghost-in-Law Mystery BOOK #3

READ THEM IN ORDER! I get kinda pissed off if the series are difficult to figure out! I liked this series alot and it started me off on a fun ride reading everything by Jana DeLeon The Ghost-in-Law Series: Trouble in Mudbug (Ghost-in-Law Mystery #1) The Helena Diaries: Trouble in Mudbug (Ghost-in-Law Mystery 1.5) (eh - must read #1 first) Mischief in Mudbug (Ghost-in-Law Mystery #2) Showdown in Mudbug (Ghost-in-Law Mystery #3) Resurrection in Mudbug (Ghost-in-Law Mystery #4)

Comic Murder Mystery

A series that galavants across the bayous outside NOLa. Romance spices up the plot and a haunting mother-in-law gets to cross over.

Great series

I am a big fan of Jana DeLeons Miss Fortune series and this series is just as good. Great characters that are very similar to the Miss Fortune. Keep them coming.

Great fun

This is one of those mysteries that you don't know the killer's ID. Every time I thought I had it figured out, I was proven wrong. This book is charming and fun and makes you appreciate your friends. The only bad part is that I was hungry through the 1st half of the book.

More fun in Mudbug

Great vacay read! Enjoyable, fun, quirky, easy and quick. Memorable characters with Helena a funny, goofy ghost whose always hungry.

A fantastic book

Absolutely a wonderful series that can be read by anybody. Lots of Mystery, fun, twists and turns and if it could happen to anybody it will happen to Fortune along with her band of grey-headed warriors. Would love to get a hold of some of their cough syrup. LOL.

Excellent series! It's hard when you get to the end of a series you enjoy so much. The characters were so lively, sassy and sexy with humor through-out. There were some real touching moments as well. Couldn't wait to get thru each book, while at the same time I wanted to slow down so it wouldn't end. Lightly over the top in a place or two, but you're so enjoying the ride-you just don't care. Love, love, loved this series!

Unexpected

This story was unexpected. It was difficult to try and figure out the plot, but when it was revealed it all made sense. Can't wait to read the next installment

Helena is a kick

great stories, lots of fun and laughter, I really enjoyed them Wish she would write a ;7th story using the characters or some of them. Helena is so funny and still learning things. It is just great fun to read and I have told a ton of people I just loved them, read them all in a row. Now I don't have any to read.

Very fun reading.

Very good reading. It kept me reading it all day. Loved it.

I love this series

These are the funniest books. I wish they would make a movie so I could see Helena and he wild outfits.

Fun and improbable

This series is fun, and imaginative, and very improbable. I'd give it 5 stars, but, I do not like she graphic, incongruent sex scenes. The sex adds little to the story, and I think they were thrown in to try and make the story more mature. The immature nature of the book makes it a frivolous read, which is what I was looking for when I bought it. Sometimes it is nice to take a break from being serious, yet this series had enough twists and turns in its plot lines to keep me interested!

Showdown in Mudbug

I read the first book trouble in Mudbug and enjoyed it alot. The author is funny the way she describes things. When i finished the book I then wanted to know what happened to the others. I red the second one(Mischief in Mudbug) which was equally entertaining. So I wanted to know what happens with Helen (the ghost mother-in-law), who is absolutely hilarious, so I read the 3rd book (Showdown). If you read the 1st book I think you will be compelled to read the rest.

Must like mysteries

Good book. Very intertaining.

LOVED!

I loved all of the Mudbug stories. The first three you pretty much figured out that the 2 main characters would end up with each other, but the last three made it develop at a lower speed. However, the books had a mystery and the funniest things happening that I laughed out loud. GREAT!

Great story

I am really enjoying the Mudbug stories. The stories are able to keep me entertained from page one. They offer humor, suspense, and romance all wrapped up in one. I can't wait to continue with the rest!

A Delightful Ending to the Series!

As soon as I finished book 2, I was here on Amazon buying book 3. And oh, did it deliver! Another strong female lead, more romance, more twists and turns in a wonderfully tangled mystery that also ties up the ends of the series' long mystery. And, of course, Helena Henry, who also has secrets (as well as more outlandish outfits that had me laughing out loud in delight). Another Mudbug winner, and highly recommended!

I am thoroughly enjoying the Mudbug series. Nice light reading while offering Comedy with suspense and a touch of romance. Having such a humorous exchange between a ghost and the people who see and hear her is most entertaining. I plan on reading them all.

was okay

I guess the theme is too similar in this series. I was pleased with the ending.

A good read

This is the 2nd book in the series. It carries forward the characters from the first book very well. It has some very funny scenerios and is full of mystery, danger and romance. I am currently read the 3rd book in the series. Jana DeLeon does a nice job of keeping the stories interesting and making want to keep reading to find out what happens. I don't think that these books would make much sense if they were read out of sequence.

Happy endings

It made tear up at the ending. I think it’s too good to be true these hot men. But hey a woman can dream. Especially with a good book.

Delightful

Loved this series, delightful and quick reading. There is action adventure, romance, wit, fantasy and a little paranormal activity and an ending. I really enjoyed my time in Mudbug.

Odd ending to a good series

Jana DeLeon is one of those authors who writes entertaining, fun books with enough mystery plot to keep things interesting while blending it with a romance that thankfully get neither sappy nor angsty. I like her characters, her brisk and easy writing style, her humor, and her charm. Certainly all of those things were just as evident here as they were in Mischief in Mudbug and Mayhem in Mudbug. I enjoyed almost everything about the book except the ending. Helena Henry, the ghost in the Ghost-In-Law series who can't seem to rest till she learns killed her and why, is the link between the books that gets wrapped up here. And that's where it fell apart for me. The book itself follows the pattern of the others with the hero, New Orleans detective Zack Blanchard, being seriously suspicious of the heroine, Raissa Brodeaux, a psychic. Only Raissa is no psychic about the child abduction of the Mayor's granddaughter. She's really a discredited FBI agent that left witness protection years ago who knows this abduction is one of a pattern that developed years ago, then suddenly stopped. Now, it's started again. When Helena Henry appears to her, she knows she's in trouble, because only people who are in jeopardy of dying see the ghost she's heard so much about from Maryse. When supposed psychic Raissa turns up at police HQ to talk to the detectives in charge of the case, her intimate knowledge of the details - and the fact she knows it's one of an old pattern that stopped 9 years ago, makes her Zack's number one suspect. But Raissa worked undercover long enough to know how to foil the cops. She wants the person behind the abductions and she wants to know why they've happened. Raissa can't exactly tell Zack everything, especially when the man she went undercover to get the goods on for the FBI is hunting the same people - but maybe not for the same reason. It's exciting and interesting and we get to visit all the characters from her first two books. I don't want to spoil the plot, but the big denouement did not remotely work for me, nor was it developed enough to make real sense. It felt like it just got tossed in but the author couldn't really flesh it out in a way that made it believable. The villain, yes, that made perfect sense. I felt cheated. Still do. Hence, the 3*. It's a good, entertaining read and if the ending doesn't bother you as it did me, you'll rate it much higher.

I enjoyed the first two books in the series of Mudbug ...

I enjoyed the first two books in the series of Mudbug but this one is really far fetched. Ms. DeLeon had to deal with getting rid of the "ghost" but sorry to say really had to stretch her imagination to come up with the story line. Not up to the first two, but I do enjoy her style.

Fun

The series is kinda fun although I know for a fact there just aren’t that many hot men to go around.

Helena's antics will keep you laughing to the end

Helena Henry, ghost extraordinaire, returns in the last of the Mudbug trilogy. Her antics will keep you laughing all the way to the end. Her family Hank, Maryse, Sabine, Mildred and Raissa keep her in line. While they solve the mystery living life to the full. So I the reader got romance, mystery and humor to entertain me. I enjoyed this trilogy immensely and am looking for other books from Ms DeLeon to read.

Helena finally able to leave this earthly plane.

It was exciting to be back in Mudbug. I haven't read this series in so long. The characters are warm and friendly to each other. This story was an alarming one but had a great ending. Bravo to Jana DeLeon for a great story.

Great author

Love this series. Funny, lighthearted.

None

Great book

great series

read and laugh, reread and laugh some more

Terrible language

This is not one I will pass on. Was glad to have mother in law's murder solved, although I guessed the villain in the second book of the series. Truly enjoyed this series up to this point. Was not impressed with the language used in this book nor the sex scene. If the next book is of the same caliber it will be the last Jana DeLeon purchase in this household.

Great little book, funny and entertaining

This is a cute funny series with likable characters. Had me laughing out loud several times. Worth the read

Super third installment.

It was awesome learning Raissa's back story. Her history made the mystery all the more intense and plausible. Helena was magnificently outrageous as always. She really has grown as a person too bad she had to become a ghost to do so. Get the book you'll enjoy it. It really does help to read the series in order so that you'll understand some if the allusions and subtexts.

Mystery,funny.

Very funny enjoyed it couldn't put it down

Another Great Read!

I really love the books, they are absolutely refreshing, funny and sooo very entertaining, can't get enough! Would recommend this book for almost everyone!

Good book

Nothing

Nice light reading

I wanted a light-hearted relaxing series and I have found it. Makes me smile & laugh, believe that there is justice in the world.

Entertaining mystery!

I love this light hearted mystery series that captures the lives of the Mudbug residents! I can't wait to start the next book!

HELENA MADE IT

This book was different from the other books. Laughed and cried with this one. The mystery was great to read. Was on pins and needles the whole time. I also loved the way Helena went to the other side. Also like that everything turned out good for everyone. NOW ON TO THE NEXT BOOK. HAPPY READING.

Fun book with a promising plot - but the ending ...

Fun book with a promising plot - but the ending was disappointing. The plot resolution left me wanting a better explanation and the development of the ghost character is perplexing - is she a ghost or not? But all in all, a great way to kill a weekend. I look forward to purchasing the next book in the series.

Wow! What a great read!

I have loved this series. Great mystery, great love story with just the right amount of sex, and ghosts too. Can't wait to read on.

Showdown in Mudbug by Jana DeLeon

I chose the five star rating because this story with all it's twist and turns was such an unpredictable sequence of events. That peaked my interest and curiosity. I enjoyed the spirit and humor of the characters as well as the camaraderie of the group working together to solve a mystery. I highly recommend this book.

Another Great Book in the Series - Keeps You Hooked!

This is book 3 in the Ghost-in-Law series, and it's just as wonderful as the first 2. This book focuses on Raissa and Zach, and, of course, Helena is causing trouble again. Great read, leaves you wanting more.

Love Mudbug Series

Took the first free book and loved it. Couldn't wait to buy and read the rest. This was a great book and I was happy to know that there were more in the series to read. Helena is a blast and the other characters are well defined, strong women with very good looking male partners. The romance is fun and the mystery and action are great. Well written and a pleasure to read.

Entertaining

My wife and I started listening to the first book on a trip and enjoyed it. Now, when we travel, we listen to the next in the series.

A small town with big problems!

This was very involved storyline. The interplay of a number of players , complicated. Hard to adjust to the scientific and genetic findingsEnjoyable though.

Really great series....the original premise seems a little weird when you start out, but you get invested in the idea of a ghost talking to some people and helping out with things.....get the series, you'll really like it.

ROTFLMBO

I got the first book Trouble in Mudbug from the free Kindle list. It only took one sitting to finish it. Just had to buy the continuing set. I love Jana Deleon's characters, they are charming and enjoyable. This will go into the read over and over category.

Showdown in mudbug

I love this series. Jana DeLeon is a very talented writer. I have to admit when I finished this book...I was sad it was the last in the series... up to that point. Happy to report she just released another book in the series "Resurrection in Mudbug". But again, sad to say, I went through it in one day, and will be waiting for the next one.

showdown in Mudbug

I ordered all 3 Mudbug books and it is a fun read. Like one critic wrote" ghost Mother in law all the same". Every book has its OWN funny story and the describtion was ghost mother in law and sexy dedective :) I knew what I ordered and loved every book

The "Ghost-in-Law" series is one of those where the reader gets started and doesn't want to put the book down...even though a book will end and the reader must start another to find out what happens next.

Fun, entertaining, and oh so well written

I have truly enjoyed the series and I am going to miss good old Helena. The book is well written, the story line is also nice (love, mistery, action, and a ghost to keep you entertained). I really liked the characters and the plot. I do recommend this book! :-)

Review

Loved the book. Fast paced, turns and twist you never would hair thought of. Kudos to Jane for three days of enjoyment (read first three yesterday and today. Have bought #4.

mudbug friends

I will say the same about this book as the other ones in the series: I loved it and after getting Trouble for free and reading it in record time (it was so good and cute) I bought the other two to stay in touch with my new friends in Mudbug. I even ordered/gifted them to my mother-in-law's kindle:-) She likes them too.

GREAT way to escape

I've never read humorous girly books but I was looking for some light, easy reading to kill time while my son was in the hospital. These books are seriously laugh out loud funny. I honestly devoured this series and have enjoyed Jana DeLeon's style of writing. Perfect escape from reality.

Mudbug

Loved the book. Although I am sorry to realize this is the last book in the series I am happy for the characters. This goes to show how great the bok was. When you feel for the characters as if they are real people, WOw, great.

He won’t want to put these books down!

I just love the Mudbug series!

Showdown was a complete ending to all three books. I had a tears in the end.

The ending was totally unexpected!

Fun series. Great read.

I couldn't put this one down.

I loved that Jana DeLeon did a series on Mudbug. I read all three of those stories and it left me wanting more. I hope she continues to write forever. I am a writer too, so I have a pretty good idea of what is good. In God we trust. Pat

Great book.

Great read, lots of laughs and action. No slow spots in this book. Love the series.

Great Read

I really enjoyed this book and am hooked on the series. (currently on the third book - which is as good as the second and the first!) Good job freebie Kindle-addiction-starter-book on Trouble in Mudbug - fun read!

Good read!

Very good continuation of the series while developing secondary characters. If you enjoyed the first two books on the series, I recommend continuing with this book.

Showdown in Mudbug

I loved this book so much that I had to get the rest of the series immediately. It had humor, love and ghostly presence all rolled into one. I could not put it down and I even managed to read the entire series in two days. Absolutely worth the price of the book.

Guns a - blazing

Great, tight intriguing read. Wild toads ride from start to finish. Knitting the characters and interwoven back story keeps the reader in their seat start to finish. Really fun series!

Great

Great read ! Laughed cried could not put it down . Jana DeLoen is a great story teller, still reading the series.

Fun book

I have enjoyed all of the books in the Mudbug series. Jana Deleon writes fun, light hearted, humorous books that just make you feel good. I will be looking for more of her books.

MUD BUG series

These books are highly entertaining and well done. I would recommend them to those of us who enjoy a well done mystery with real life characters. The setting of Mud Bug was really different for me but fit well for the storylines. The ghost is great.

loved the whole series

I loved this book! I especially enjoyed the ghost and her antics. They are often hysterical. I can't imagine being stuck with the ghost of an ex mother-in-law. It's well written and you won't know who the bad guy is until the very end. I quickly ordered the rest of the set!

Headline

I lik e the book but not the profanity. The story line in the book is great about the state of Louisiana.

final book in series

Had to purchase this book because I started the series and the library did not have the final book. I enjoyed the series, it was entertaining and fun reading. I recommend this book to people who like books with romance, mystery and humor.

Love it!

One of the best series ever written.

Review

Good story teller

Another great read!

I know this series is a formula but I do enjoy it and this one is no exception. It was quite entertaining. :D

What a wonderful story line!

I recommend this whole series. It is fast paced and funny with action and romance thrown in to make all 3 Mudbug books wonderful. Jana DeLeon is a great author. She has a smooth writing style that makes for easy reading. I highly recommend this book as well as the other two in the series.

Showdown in Mudbug is Great!

I love Helena! She gets everyone into and sometimes out of trouble and she sure spices up a story. Not that the story was lacking in any way, but she adds to it. Great tale.

A joy to read!

Love love love this series of "ghost" crime/mystery/romance. I think it is best to start with the first book in the series, as they flow perfectly together from book to book. You won't be disappointed if looking for an entertaining read.

Is seeing Helena Henry a curse?

You can't help but wonder what's going to happen when another person sees the ghost of Helena. It's can't be good. It never has been for anyone else.

Great book.

This is a great book for anyone who likes action mudder and mystery. With a side of romance. This is book four in the series. Read then in order and you won't be disappointed with the way the series goes. Starts with trouble in musing and continues with avert in the rest...

Another hit by DeLeon

I love the cozy mystery books by Jana DeLeon but this was definitely one of her best. She weaves a very complicated plot that you won't want to put down. You will stay riveted. Enjoy!

I'm a fan

The saga continues. I started this series several years ago, and just recently was able to find the other books in the series. Jana DeLeon definitely has a fan in me.

im a huge fan of this author. I love the characters, the story and especially the endings. very romantic, witty and charming. hope to read more from her in the future.

Five Stars

One of my favorite authors who never fails to entertain.

Just okay

This third in the Ghost-in-Law mystery series was, in my opinion, the least enjoyable. But if you want to know how the story that began in book one ends up, you'll find out here.

Excellent writing style

I had never read any of Janet Deleon's books before, so wasn't sure what I would be reading. I was not disappointed. Her characters were down to earth and real, and her humor is the best. The 3 book trilogy is a MUST READ

Five Stars

Can't wait for the next installment!

Fun read

Fun reading. I completely enjoy the characters.

Must read!

Hysterically funny, laugh out loud ! A must read

very funny

You have to read the first 2 in the series to better understand this book. I found all 3 of the Mudbug books really funny and with a great twist. I might even read them again they were so good.

I thoroughly enjoyed it

It was entertaining and had some surprising twists. I thoroughly enjoyed it

Delightful!

Oh my! If you want to laugh so hard that you will pee your pants then this is the book for you! Could not put it down till it was done than on to the next one. Jana knows how to strike the funny bone for sure!

A fun easy read, good romance and mystery

I read the first book so quickly I had to order the other two in the series and I enjoyed both of them. They are light, easy to read, fun, sexy and a good who dunnit. I loved the twists and turns the story takes. I like being immersed in a series and getting to know all of the characters.

Predictable Showdown in Mudbug

By the time I finished I was content. However I am getting a little bored. They all have the same ideas in them, basically the same plot. I won't say I didn't enjoy them. They became predictable.

I love these books

I love these books by Jana Deleon.....I'm so glad my sister-in-law and niece told me about this author. I will buy all of her books. Keep them coming -

Love this series!

I just loved reading this whole "Ghost-in-Law" series! Really cute and entertaining. I'm glad it was only a few books long, though. Unlike some other series, at least you got to find out "who done it" within a few books.

Nice weekend read

I have read all the Mudbug books. Jana DeLeon captured the mix, mystery and humor to keep me entertained. The books are delightful and keep the reader interested with a blend of paranormal phenomena (Ghost-in-law, Helena).

Good reading

Love the Mudbug series and was kind of bummed when it ended but was worth reading anyway. Some funny parts as well. Very good series.

Ties up the series well

Loved the characters. Flaws and attributes. Stepping through life's choices. Arthur shows you can make mistakes or just be in the wrong place in the wrong time and still start over again.

Satisfying

I have enjoyed reading these books and laughing at the antics they provide. I plan on buying more during the rest of my holiday break.

Fun, metaphysical mystery

I enjoyed this story and the cultural references to contemporary life in New Orleans and the rural bayou region. Lots of fun and enough mystery to keep me turning the page.

Very good.

Very good. Lots of humor, mystery and drama. The book kept me entertained and I wanted to read it through before I put it down.

Four Stars

Great series

The final piece of the puzzle

I couldn't wait to see how all the pieces would fit together. The characters are just as witty, adventurous and loyal. You don't need a psychic to tell you how enjoyable this series and author are.

O

It was ok

MUDBUG

I love this book. It is light reading, funny, and is trash free. It ends well, leaving you satisfied. I have read the series of three books and have enjoyed them all. I wish there were more of these.

Great book

Good story, I like the continuation of characters and different adventures they meet and get into and out of.

laughs

I so enjoyed this book series. The plot kept my interest, the characters kept me laughing and the out come was not what was expected. I have found a new writer to add to my list!

Five Stars

I LOVED it

Always funny

Love these books. Will read everyone she writes in the Mudbug series.

Very interesting!

Showdown in Mudbug was a very interesting (to say the lease) book. It really held my interest all the way thru. It was funny, intriging, sentimental and romantic. I hated it when I came to the end. Loved it!

Hilarious

I know there is a romance in there somewhere, and a mystery as well, but I couldn't stop laughing. Reminded me a lot of the Stephanie Plum novels when they were still fresh and new. But with a ghost.

A showdown with fun

Jana DeLeon will always have a place on my Kindle. Her books have keep me rolling with lafter through each one. Start with the first and have some fun.

Great Conclusion

This was the third in the series and didn't disappoint. I loved each of the three books. The romance was similar to the others but the story line was interesting enough to keep me entertained. Would recommend as a great, easy and fun read.

10 stars

I wish I could give this series of books more than 5 stars. I am totally in love with the characters, and with Mudbug. I only hope Helena comes back for more

Awesome!

A paranormal murder mystery that's both a romance AND funny - impossible? Not at all! I'm a definite fan! Great series, I will definitely need to check out the authors other works

Love this series!

I absolutely LOVE the Mudbug series by Jana DeLeon! I read through them so fast and laugh most of the time! Great job! I recommend them to anybody who has a sense of humor and wants to laugh.

Not a great 3rd book in the series

The third books plot is fairly far fetched. But it's easy to speed ' read so you get the jest of the boom. I'm still reading the forth and hope it's as good as the first two.
