A hit with a 7 year old!

My 7 year old son says: I really liked this book because it had a big problem, and I really like when there are big issues in books.

Students in 2nd grade are really into this series.

I would recommend this series for young readers as you transition them into chapter books.

Fun and nice book for kids

Good reading book . What’s nice about it is my 8 years old likes these and we got her ( almost all the story of these books ) you can’t complain as long as it interests your child to reading 🤪

Fun and interesting

My fourth grader loves these books!

GREAT Books! Highly recommend!

My 8 yr old son and I read these together before bedtime. We are on book 7 so I have ordered book 8 for Christmas and pre-ordered 9 & 10. He is really into the characters and we've enjoyed how the story has built up in each book and the story evolves. It ties in nicely with what he's learning in 3rd grade around authoring...why an author might write something, why they may have chosen certain words, places, people, etc. Perfect for his reading level, he loves seeing the sketches in the book. Highly recommend this series!

We have read several different series and this is by far her favorite. This particular book was one of the most ...

My 5-year-old girl LOVES this series. We read them as fast as they are published. We started on the series when she was 4 and we were just starting to read chapter books on a nightly basis. We have read several different series and this is by far her favorite. This particular book was one of the most interesting ones to date. Dealt with more complex issues and we really enjoyed discussing them as a family. Can't wait for the next installment! Please keep them coming, Tracey West! :-)

He told me the book was the best serious he ever read

My son is 6 years old and he can ready by himself. He loves this serious very much. He finished 4 books (#5-#8) in one night. I rarely saw him read a chapter book so urgent. He kept asking me to wait until finished a book before he was willing to do other things. When he finished #8, he asked me to buy #9 and rest. He told me the book was the best serious he ever read.

Wonderful stories for girls and boys!

These are wonderful stories! They were perfect for our new reader to move beyond just picture books to chapter books with pictures in them. Both of my daughters have enjoyed these. I highly recommend them!

Great Book!!!

My daughter loves this book and the whole series!!!

Likes

Spoilers ahead: My 7 yo liked it but found Rori, Eko, and the island blah blah blahs "stupid." Basically she didn't enjoy the Rori conflict and all the fighting, but liked the wedding part very much. That made the book for her and she wished the wedding went on longer and in more details before the attack part. She has only reread parts.

Captures interest of boys and girls!!!

My kids love this series! My son started it several years ago when he was in 3rd grade and my daughter (2nd grade) read the entire series in a week this summer. I love that they can read independently and discuss/share together. It appeals to both girls and boys and for us, a winner of a series!! The tough part....waiting til January 2018 for Book 9!!

Good series

My son like these series when he was younger and wanted to read each book. It took long time for each next book to be released, so he outgrew the series before reading all of the books. However, I recommend the series. When my son was into it, he constantly talked about different dragons and their abilities.

Start with book one and keep going.

My son really enjoys reading these books with me. I enjoy him reading as well. Very satisfied and soon will own the whole collection.

High interest and perfect for those who love dragons

My daugher (10) and her friends love this series and dragons have recently been sighted flying around our house. One of our daughters has dyslexia and her tutor introduced this to her during their tutoring sessions. My daughter immediately asked if we could buy the entire series which she proceeded to devour.

This book roars

We liked reading this book because we talk and guess what will happen next and what Eko and Rory should do.

Great read

Roar of the Thunder Dragon is good because they introduced a lot of new people, and villains, and it was well thought out. I suggest people read it. Finn, 11 years old

Book Review

{My thoughts} – King Roland has decided that he wants to marry Queen Rose. He wants to have a small wedding that starts with a parade of the dragons. While they are having the parade a bad storm appears outside. The storm is caused by none other than the new villain Eko. Eko has a Thunder Dragon names Neru and she uses him to help make the storm. She also has the Baby Lightning Dragon tethered to Neru since she’d dragon napped him in the last book. Between Lalo and Nero’s power she is able to cook up a pretty nasty storm. Rori thinks she knows more then Griffith in this book. She intentionally disobeys because, lets face it, this has been coming. She goes and tries to battle Eko on her own with her dragon. It doesn’t go as well as she thought once she and her dragon fall from the sky. Rori ends up getting upset and then she rebels. We saw that coming with her personality build up. Griffith and the Dragon Masters however, didn’t see it coming. Drake did, but that’s because he’d been carefully watching her. Worm also has been keeping an eye on things and told Drake what he saw happen by the Dragon Caves. When everyone else gets to the Dragon Caves Drake tells them what he knows. Now the Dragon Masters have to search for two other Dragon Masters and two other Dragons. When this book ends they have a surprise Dragon Master visitor asking them for help. I really love how well this series can pull the reader in making them want more of the story! I look forward to reading the next book soon.

Great for 6-8 year olds

My kids love this series. I have a boy 6 years old and a girl 8 years old. So easy to get them from the library as ebooks so you can blow through the whole series!

Best one in the series yet, sparked debate!!

My 7 year old son loves this series and is always so excited to read the next book. As a parent I think this one is the best one yet as it sparked a long debate at the end. I won't give a spoiler but any book that makes a 7 year old question morality and sparks a long debate about whether things are black and white or if there is something in between is fantastic. (Not a spoiler but hints at stories concepts moving forward.) We talked for half an hour about the difference between having good reasons and good actions.

My First Grader loves this series!

My daughter who just turned 7, loves the Dragon masters series. She loves dragons, and these books are good for he to read independently. She's read 4 so far including this one (out of sequence). Her favorite one was Book #10 -Walking the RainBow Dragon. I will obtain more for her.

Excellent!

My seven year old granddaughter asked for this book for her birthday and was very excited to receive it. She has all the previous ones in the series (#1-#7) and loves them all.
