Passport2purity Travel Journal Replacement Kit

I bought this as replacement for the adventure journal for the kit in the attached photo. Unfortunately it is not the right one. This product must be part of the newer edition. I intended to use it with my son. My daughter already went through it with my wife. I’m cramming the preparation in, but now because it doesn’t complement the original edition I can’t use it. The journal looks like it could be good with the intended newer kit. I just wish it was clearly stated that it did not complement the original one. It’s too late for me to get a new one because we are leaving this weekend.

Did with all 4 of my kids, 2 daoughter then 2 sons. I would recommend the next time they record it they make the mentor part more generic because when they refer to "your dad" in the recordings for the boys, it was not their dad, and that made ME uncomfortable, as I wasn't their dad, though that would have been nice and better, but not our reality. I'm guessing that was probably painful for my boys, as well. It was also difficult as their dad is not living a life of integrity or sexual purity. They could say, "your P2P mentor" or something more generic - this would make it more user friendly so grandparents, possibly youth leaders, of anyone other that the girls' mom or the boys' dad doing it with them would fit. I also preferred the dirty water illustration over the playdoh one because the playdoh was very distracting and ended up taking a lot more time. My girls and boys liked the dorky songs, though they were the "new and improved" version for the boys. I think the illustrations are fabulous. I so wish I'd had this when I was a teen. My daughter's are committed to purity. Praying my sons will be committed to it as well.

I can't say enough good about P2P. I took my son and my wife took our daughter away on a weekend, just before they each entered Middle School and this helped guide the conversation. The activities are impactful and the content is high quality. I recommend for any teen or pre-teen 'birds and bees" conversation. Also, just a great way to talk about puberty and good solid Biblical values.

This journal is the accompaniment to the new 2012 revision of P2P. Exactly what I needed since the P2P kit comes with only one journal, and I needed another for my second daughter.

This journal is a perfect addition to the series. It is a good keepsake for your daughter. It also leaves space for your daughter to continue her study once you are done going through it with her. This series is wonderful and really creates a great bonding experience if you follow through with it.

This is not compatible with the earlier set. I purchased as a replacement and found it not to be useable. Amazon took it in return. Good thing I reviewed it before spending a frustrating weekend trying to use it. I sure wish this was posted somewhere on the description.

Incredible journey with our kids. Fabulous explanations. Definitely drew us closer to our children and have them a sense of security in God’s whole design as opposed to what the world teaches. I STRONGLY encourage anyone to do the planned activities even if you might think they’re “cheesy.” I guarantee you they lighten the mood and get the points across in a heartfelt, MEMORABLE way.

There are a couple of object lessons that just don't work. One is "lighting a match". You have the child light a match and blow it out. Then they try to light it again, and of course it doesn't work. Obvious object lesson here about virginity. You can only light that match one time. Then they have the child get another match wet, and try to use it as an object lesson in how God can help you keep your purity. I say that sounds like you can go almost all the way, up until lighting the match, and God will protect you. Hogwash. I say "KEEP THE D--N MATCH IN THE BOX IN THE FIRST PLACE!"]

Used this twice now. Once with each daughter. Love the content and object lessons. Kids thought the scripture memory songs were cheesy, so we forwarded past and just read the verses a few times. Highly recommend. Can't wait to use Passport 2 Identity this year with my high schooler. I broke this down by session and did it a few days a week for two weeks and it worked well. Just couldn't do a get away. A vital resource for parents.

This is a replacement journal, likely to be used for siblings when you have already purchased and used the Passport2Purity kit for an older sibling. The kit itself is wonderful and has been a great tool for helping my husband and I to communicate to our girls, our hopes and expectations of them dating. Be warned - this is the new version of this kit. I was able to use it with our old kit, but I think it would have been best to have the updated CDs to listen to and follow along with. We were able to adapt it with our old projects, but I'm curious to know what we missed. I'll definitely purchase the updated kit in a year to use again with daughter #3!

We purchased 2 of these for our boys and we all loved it! My boys loved how it looked on the inside. It is very modern and grabs your attention. The content is very relevant to what teens and preteens are going through these days. I love that after you use this journal during the Purity weekend, it then has lots of devotions to use after you get back home. What a great way to keep it in their thoughts throughout the year.

EXCELLENT!! 2nd time doing this cd material with my children. Would DEFINITELY recommend as a must do, once in a lifetime opportunity, not to be missed for any parent of a teen or pre teen. (This is a replacement journal, you would need to buy the cd set and instruction book from Family Life. ( it gives a tentative schedule to follow for your time together with your teen, as well as exact instructions on what to do to prepare, what to get, what to say, etc. )

Taken two kids through this so far. Well designed and very helpful resource and makes for a good baseline of conversations with kids. Object lessons are great. Weekend away with parent & child that you can plan to use this resource at is the best part.

A bit corny... even more so than the original cds. (especially the new songs, or the acting scenes) But the program is full of great content, and it's a great conversation starter on a topic that's so important to begin having with our children.

Fantastic "coming of age" getaway for parents and their pre-teen. We have now used Passport to Purity materials with 3 children and it has started great conversations. This is just the journal for your child, but I'm thankful they offer this for those of us with several kids since we don't need to purchase the whole kit for each child, just extra child journals.

I did this again with my second daughter. I highly recommend taking the time to do this with all your kiddos. My daughter loved it and I think it will be a lasting memory for both of us. We did this the summer before middle school with both our daughters

I've done this with my daughter and my husband has now done it with my son. You need to purchase a travel journal for each child to be able to have their own. It made for a special weekend. I highly recommend P2P.

(This is just the replacement journal for when you have more than one child going through the program. I borrowed the Kit from our church's resource center. You need the CDs & parent book to go along with this student journal). The Kit or CDs are excellent and covers everything from valuing parents guidance and God's word to peer pressure, birds & bees, dating & purity. A valuable resource for Christian parents looking to instruct their tweens-teens on often awkward but important subjects. The CDs were fun & engaging to listen to and the object lessons were memorable. This allow great conversation starters and opens communication for future questions. An excellent program!

This is a great study for anyone with a middle school child I highly recommend.

The technology is very outdated. Who uses cds anymore? There is an option to upload the cds onto an mp3 player but our laptop doesn't have a CD drive. I was excited to use product but it is pretty obsolete.

This is the open door for you to hit the hot topics with your child... and from a biblical perspective. The examples and music which I thought were the most cheesy parts of this system were the most enjoyed by my child. What this system did that was helpful... it opens up dialogue. What a great way to approach the topic of purity

This arrived on time and was the absolute perfect way to introduce our daughter to “the talk”. The program did almost all of the talking and covered purity from a biblical view. We are using it again with my son next week.

The program is very high quality and is designed to be adapted to suit any child/teen.

This is a great program! I loved that the 'touchy' subject area was optional so we could decide when or kids are ready for it. I also like that is includes both boy and girl sections so I don't have to buy a separate set for my kids.

Ridiculous that this does not match the older set...that's an easy thing to state in the description, why is that not listed somewhere. What a total wasted of money.

This is the best kit for u to do w your son or daughter. My daughter loved it! She said she lived the conversation it brings up that we have never talked about before....& I thought we had talked about everything.

When my sons turned 13, my husband took them on a special trip, each designed for each boy. Then while on the trip he would do this program. Even today they reference back to the activities in the object lessons. Great program.

This is the journal that goes along with the CDs. I love that P2P sells this for my other children, as we only had to buy the large kit one time!

A great resource that makes it easy for parents to talk about and discuss the subject of purity with kids, especially sexual purity/abstinence. It is quite comprehensive. The travel Journal helps a lot with the discussions - a must have. I was surprised how much my 13yr old son got into the activities that accompanied the discussions. The CD set is little pricey but great investment.

This is such a great resource. I used for boys ages 12 and 14.

Great way to talk to your children about purity. Direct and on their level. My wife used it as a amend retreat with our daughter and we purchased two more to use with our sons when they are older.

I ordered this so that I could start working on Passport 2 Purity with my second son and this journal is great for him. It is the same as the one that came in the kit that I have already worked my way through with our oldest son. The program overall is great my oldest loved going through it and I thought it does a great job of teaching him good morals, decision making, and gave him a better understanding of how life changes as you become a teenager. I'm glad that I have this as it does a much better job teaching this stuff than I could have on my own. It is easy to understand and does a great job explaining things to your pre-teen.

The passport to purity program is an awesome program to complete with your pre-teen. We have completed it with both of our older boys and I am always amazed when they come home from the weekend with their dad, by how much more mature they seem. It is truly a great way to talk to your kids about the changes they are going to face moving into the teenage years and really gives them good tools to make the right decisions.

I love this program. I did it with my son, now it is my daughter's turn. I do recommend going away and getting it done all in one sitting. It makes memories and gets your values across. It helped even for the awkward "talk". I highly recommend it! I love the hands-on visual activities. There is one with a balloon-- you might want to try this first or use tape before you poke it with a pin. We couldn't get the little poke we were suppose to--the whole thing burst. Which absolutely worked with the program!

This version is different from the one that came with the book. It was difficult to follow and did not correlate well with the CDs.

I purchased the V3 Family Life kit and needed the 2nd book for my other son. Same book that came in the kit, so will work well. Highly recommend the program and having one of these books for each child.

This is a fantastic kit to facilitate a "getaway" to challenge your prepubescent child (and you, parent!). The focus is purity and there is a wonderful emphasis on peer pressure as well. The Rainey's have put together an excellent product and we plan on using it for each of our children.

I would have never thought of the fun activities on my own and appreciated the Rainey's personal talks to both the girls and boys. In a world where pre-teens may need to hear about abstinence from someone other than their parents I was so pleased for the support they gave during my weekend away with both my girls. It was such a special time both weekends and my girls still talk about it to this day. It's rare that we are able to set aside a whole weekend for just one child so it was very meaningful for my girls. Highly recommend it!

We have used Passport to Purity twice with our two older kids and LOVED it. However, the new replacement book is not like the original book. It doesn't follow along with the cd's and very hard to navigate through. Unfortunately I didn't realize this until after we were on our trip to start our "retreat." My child was lost as she tried to find where Mr. Rainey was even referencing. Very hard to follow along. I had to pull over several times to help her. (used while driving in a car) When I got back home I compared the new book to the old book. Quite different. I'm thinking now we should have repurchased the entire set. Would have been easier and less headache!

Every Pre-teen ( with their parents) should utilize this resource!

I purchased this replacement journal as I have two daughters. This replacement journal did not work well with the first edition CD set. We were constantly looking through the pages to find where to enter the information from the CD's and much of it we could not locate so had to leave blank. Was not a good compliment and would not recommend using with the first edition. Disappointing.
