Passport2Purity (P2P) Getaway Kit: A Life-Changing Weekend with Your Preteen

I ordered this for a getaway weekend for me and my almost 13-year-old daughter. It worked out great. I have many friends who recommended this kit, and I am glad I took the advice to use it. Be sure to read through the directions thoroughly before you leave and do plan on doing the activities in the book. My almost-13 year-old daughter and I had a wonderful weekend going through this program. She enjoyed the object lessons, and many of the topics discussed were ideas that she didn't know much about even though she knew the basics of the birds and the bees. I appreciated the emphasis on resisting peer pressure, protecting one's purity, and talking to one's parents about everything. Dennis and Barbara raised so many little details that I myself would have wanted to raise...it made me extremely grateful for them and for the time and effort they put into creating this program.

A definite must have for parents raising teens!

My (almost) 12 year old and I spent a weekend fishing (note: not 'catching' fish) and listening to these excellent sessions as well as talking about a good many issues. I took my (then) 12 year old through the first version of this which was good: but this one is definitely better.

LOVE this program! I spent an incredible weekend with my daughter, listening to the CD's, working through the workbook, and completing the special projects. What a fantastic way to facilitate discussions about all those difficult subjects, while framing them within a biblical context. It made the entire experience so special. I can't recommend this enough!

This program is absolutely amazing. My husband didn't want to have the sensitive discussion with son. This program does it all with buy-in from the parent.

This was an amazing weekend away with each of my children! They enjoyed it as much as I did. Each session is interesting and the activities are fun and effective. My children learned a lot and, although we have discussed the subject regularly over the years, I feel they are much more prepared to make wise choices and are certainly more aware of the consequences of poor choices after hearing other's very real experiences. I praise God for this curriculum and have enthusiastically suggested it to all my friends.

I have done a cursory read through of this but haven't done it with my son yet, so hopefully when that happens I will be able to give it 5 stars.

A phenomenal product covering peer pressure, influence of friends, mechanics of boys & girls, sex, and other content from a biblical world view. I could not recommend this more. The material was well thought out and comprehensive (it takes time to cover). A neutral party (the Raineys) table topics, ensuring key concepts are communicated, prompting dialogue between parent and child. The exercises provided hands on examples of the topics covered allowing my son to conceptualize what was being shared. He enjoyed the projects and completing his travel journal. I HIGHLY recommend the parent listen to all the material in preparation of sharing with your child. You will be tempted to hit pause and not share certain topics (I shared it all). My son just turned 11 and I would categorize him as immature on this subject matter (based on his questions). His mind was blown, but I was so impressed by his questions and self reflection. This material will equip your child to make decisions about how they handle situations before they're exposed to them. Parents, you want to be the first to establish your child's point of view on sex for which all others POVs will compete against. I believe 10 or 11 years old is optimal as you don't want to be playing catch up. Make it fun, acknowledge it will be awkward at times, and laugh at yourselves. It doesn't get better. For His Glory.

By far the best thing I could have done with my daughter the summer before she started 6th grade. After purchasing the Passport2Purity kit, we checked into a local hotel on a Saturday and listened to the first few lessons. Then we got our nails done professionally, listened to another CD and had a nice dinner out. The next day we checked out and went to the beach--listening to the last CD as we drove. I felt unequiped so it was nice to have someone else do a lot of the talking. It opened up the conversation so that we could come back to the topics easily as time went on. As a result, my daughter chose new friends as she started her 6th grade year and now as a 10th grader has continued to make good decisions about friends and dating. I feel like my influence on her is minimal now and she dismisses my opinions. I'm glad we set the foundation before puberty hit. I just saw Passport2Identity for teens. I bought this and hope to open up the conversation again. My husband listened to these CDs with our son and is about to go away this Saturday with our other son. He also did the dating CD with our daughter. Our older son is a Senior in high school. He's more of a computer geek and not into dating and going out, but he has made good decisions about dating and friends as well.

My husband took my son on a weekend away to complete this amazing curriculum. They bonded in a wonderful way that weekend four years ago. Our son still speaks of it and always says that it was life changing to him in many ways! This past summer my husband and son completed the Passport to Identity curriculum. This was great as well!
