I chose to give the book 4 stars because it tells how manipulative the Democrat Party has been all this years and how little the Republican Party did to counter the attacks against them.

A must read for every American. This should be required reading in junior high/middle school. It will enlighten the soul.

David Horowitz is an intellectual and moral hero. In this short treatise he manages to define the left's positions, tactics and history while (to my mind) being overly gentle in describing the conservatives' inability to counter the strategies of what are clearly enemies of America. He does offer the needed advice and there must be nothing of politeness, no Marquiss of Queensbury rules, in the fight for our nation. This should be required reading (and rereading until it sinks in) for every conservative official or wannabe. Conservative voters and activists should keep several hard copies on hand to press upon moderates and non-aligned citizens in order to make the distinctions clear between those who care about people and the world as they are and those who care only for an imagined future.

Everyone needs to read this! The destruction of our beautiful country is eminent but David provides a pathway to salvage and strengthen it.

The number of very clever authors and writers that David Horowitz has assembled within his organization is very impressive, and many of them have written similar Kindle books that you can find on Amazon, such as those by Robert Spencer, also very illuminating and impressive works. However, i digress. This particular book deals with Horowitz's estimation of the threats existing today to the future of the USA because of its current, Democratic administration and their ultra-liberal and ultra-leftist politics and way of controlling government. This is not fictional, it is factual, and substantiated by Horowitz with suitable references to other articles. Not only does he describe the threat we now face but also, how we can fight fire with fire, and how the more conservatives amongst us can counter the ultra-leftists ready to give away America to certain others within its borders. The book has to do with the redistribution of wealth in America, reducing the disparity in incomes, forcing the more wealthy to subsidize the poorer section, and, in general, turning America into a much more, socialistic and leftist entity. It is also about losing our constitutional rights and freedoms, which the author also sees on the horizon unless we act now. This is what he means about fighting fire with fire but you will have to actually read the book to learn more. All in all, it is a very nice overview of how America got to where it is today, and the battles raging still in Congress and across the country between the liberal left and the more conservative, right. The upcoming, state and congressional elections in November, may well prove very interesting, if as it appears, many Democrats may be turned out of office or denied their election, while the more conservative candidates may realize their day in the sun, finally. This is also the theme of this Horowitz book, how to make this come about, now or in the future. All in all, a very good read, if one does not have their head buried in the sands that the left has created in recent times?

I absolutely loved the book and immediately ordered another Horowitz book after I read it. When another of my friends asks why I don't care for this President, instead of sputtering around trying to list instance after instance where he has lied, done damage to this country or acted inexplicably for a leader who is supposed to care about the country he leads, I will refer them here. Long story short, the book explains a lot about why Progressives do what they do, and why the Progressive in the White house has done so much damage to the country we love.

The so-called "progressives" of this country are determined to reduce America to a populace of government-dependent individuals with a lack of initiative who can be bamboozled and economically controlled. I find that program to be hateful and unforgivable. Thanks to this wonderful author for giving us ideas for combating this destructive ideology.

Horowitz gets right to the point and doesn't waste words. If you're conservative, do yourself a favor, and read some of how lefties portray you. Don't worry about hitting back too hard.

David is a hero and a mentor from a distance. I love his courage and his ability to acess our world and suggest positive solutions.

Mr. Horowitz is an expert at making myriad personal attacks against the left without providing any evidence to support his conclusions. You call someone enough dirty words fast enough, and they won’t have time to counter every one of them. It is an effective way to convince some people of your position, but doesn’t stand up to critical scrutiny. That being said, I’d consider this a good hate-read for any liberal-minded person who desires an excellent case-study on the mental gymnastics a passionate conservative goes through to rationalize his or her beliefs. Horowitz wholeheartedly believes in a vast liberal conspiracy, hell-bent on destroying the world. It is this simplistic, good vs. evil world view that forms the basis of the rest of his arguments. The truth is though, that most people on both ends of the political spectrum are just trying to live their lives the best that they can. Regardless, Horowitz constantly reinforces this good vs. evil mentality, and always finds a way to attribute blame for societal failures exclusively on the left via exhaustive and brazen cherry-picking. I will say that Horowitz has done a fair amount of research, however unlike a good scientist, he starts with a conclusion and seeks to reinforce his existing beliefs. An unbiased look at the issues he focuses on would not be so black and white. For conservatives in the audience, feel free to read this, but don’t use it as your exclusive source of information. Above all else, don’t fall prey to his unyielding us-vs-them mentality; understand that everyone has reasons to believe in the things that they do, and that although we don’t all see eye to eye on individual issues, we all want what we believe is best for our families, and the future of our country.

i can't recommend this booklet any higher. From his own experience growing up un a communist home and being a fiery radical in the 60's, Horowitz describes the thinking and actions of the Progressive Left in succinct terms.His analysis of the Left as like a fundamentalist religionist who sees social problems like racism, sexism ,etc., but thinks they can be fixed by government. They see themselves as the redeemers of the planet, and anyone who opposes them as the party of Satan, which can excuse anything they do.

David Horowitz is a very good writer who knows how to keep the reader's interest. The author has an unusal background. For this reason, he has excellent insight into what the Progressives really want. I agree with David Horowitz that many times Conservatives need to be better at getting their point across.

If only our politicians were as smart as Horowitz, this country would be as great as it once was. He knows what is needed to get people to listen to pro-Constitutional politicians (not that there are many). What's best about Fight Fire with Fire is that everything in it is true. What Horowitz is suggesting is not lying about the records and characters of opponents or conducting smear campaigns just to win. He is basically saying to tell it like it is and to reach hearts instead of constantly trying to reach minds because people are more likely to respond to how they feel. Conservatives do not understand this because we are a thinking people and we expect others to be the same. This is a short read. Every Republican in Washington should read and implement the ideas Horowitz explains in this pamphlet.
