NO ANIMALS/BEASTS! Not for wild shape!

NO ANIMALS/BEASTS! If you want to get this for reference for WILD SHAPE forms or animals for Conjure Animals, DON'T!

Missing (CR 0-05) monsters from “ 5e Monster Manual”

Pro: Decent quality, text is legible IMO, design is good Con: While I didn’t expect this set to include all (CR 0-5) monsters from every supplement I did expect all the 5e (CR 0-5) monsters from the 5e Monster Manual to be included. You have to manually search for deck to see ones that the set includes too since there’s no “included monster” list either.

Really great, though missing some cards

I absolutely love these and they make it so much easier to run the game at the table without having to have the monster manual or an app open. Each card shows all the stats found for each Monster Manual entry, with some of the stats simplified to fit on the cards (for example, only modifiers---not ability scores---are shown. My biggest complaint is the lack of animal cards, which would be super useful for druids, and NPCs like commoners, thugs, veterans, etc. There are also some cards missing, such as dragon wyrmlings and unicorns, inexplicably. Keep in mind when you buy these that they aren't all normal card sizes. Some are wider to fit all the information explained on them.

Hey nice artwork...missing anything?

As you can see from the photo, WotC cheaped out and sent another unfinished product (4 cards with no artwork). Typical of their recent work.

Not worth it; cards missing art

Well, here’s another GF9 product that’s misleading with its description. When I buy something advertised as having card art, I expect the cards to have art. This set isn’t as bad as some they’ve put out, but they couldn’t come up with a picture for a mummy lord? In keeping with the tradition of the Magic Item Cards and NPC cards, GF9 seems content to put out sub par products. You can find far better creature cards from Animated Spellbook, Nord Games, or many on Drive Thru RPG. Very disappointed.

Missing: Beholder Zombie, Medusa, and the Adult Dracolich.

I love Gale Force 9's Monster Cards and have all the sets now. I'm giving this set a 1 star though as I'm missing several stat cards I was looking forward to getting. Namely: -Beholder Zombie -Medusa -Adult Dracolich The addition of these would have brought the set to an even 80, and there exclusion leaves me very dissapointed that I will not have all the monsters at my fingertips as I set out to do when I started buying these cards. Great cards but missing those 3 really takes the luster out of an otherwise Gem.

Oversized Cards, some missing art, could be better.

These cards are great for their intended purpose. However WotC has decided that having cards that are already an annoying 2 different sizes wasnt enough that they had to add a 3rd size. These cards are basically 4 7/8" square, so the only sleeves they fit into are the 5" x 7" 2 pocket photo pages. WotC also couldnt be bothered to put artwork on every card either, guess it was to difficult to get artwork for Creatures and monsters that they most likely have already..

Great product with a few drawbacks.

I love the idea and execution. I am disappointed with how many monsters/creatures/NPCs are missing. It's also frustrating to have the cards be different sizes. Makes it difficult to alphabetize them together rather than in two separate stacks.

Great value, what you need as a Gamemaster at your finger tips

I have been GMing for over 45 years now, and I used to make my own handy cards on 3x5 and 5x8 cards. These sturdy cards have all the information that I need and more. (Please see the enclosed pictures.) One side has a picture of the critter in question, and the other side has all the information that you could want to plan fun encounters. The cards are colorful and plastic coated. These will survive a "soft drink apocalypse" at the gaming table. I love these, and I wish that they had been around 40 years earlier.

Great Set, though Misleading.

NOTE: I Copied and Pasted my Review from "Dungeons & Dragons Spellbook Cards: Monsters 6-16 (D&D Accessory) below. I felt the same review could apply for both, so I'm dropping it below. Will fix relevant information. PROS Quality: Top Notch. Not only do the cards have all the essential information, but the artwork is great, mostly pulled from the MM if I'm not mistaken and maybe some other sources. I started collecting the Class Cards last year and the quality compared to those are the same. Price: Price seems to be in line with all the other sets I've purchased in the past. I will admit that buying multiple or even all sets at once can be costly. I made a habit of simply adding a deck or two to my usual Amazon Orders and it was far less impact-full on my wallet. After a few months I had my whole collection. Usage: The main reason to buy these is convenience. As a DM, while building my encounters, I would create index cards to copy my creature/ncp information on so that I could have them handy instead of flipping through books to find relevant information. These cards not only eliminate the need for that, they also provide a visual aid for players to go along with your verbal description of creatures if you need. This will save me many hours over the years to come! CONS: Card Size: In hindsight, it should have been obvious top me, but it wasn't made very clear that you'd be provided with different size cards: 2.5" x 3.5" and 3" x 5". Some of the monsters have many actions that require the extra space to include. If you plan to organize these cards with sheet protectors, please note you'll need both the 9 Card Sheets and 4 Card Sheets in tandem. This unfortunately also causes you to have organizing issues. I had to separate my cards into two groups based on the card size, and then alphabetically. This is minor, but still bugs me sometimes when looking for a specific creature and I'm not sure whether it will be in the small deck or the large deck. Monsters and NPC's: As others have stated, there appear to be cards "missing" since there are several popular creatures not included in the deck. I agree that the description here can be misleading, as I too thought ALL monsters in the 0-5 Range would be included but they are not. With a bit of research, you can see that the manufacturer has created two other decks (not yet released) that should fill out these gaps. "Creature and NPC Cards" and "Epic Monsters" appear to me to have the remaining monsters needed to complete your monsters from both the PH and MM, assuming you have "Monsters 6-16" and along with this set "Monsters 0-5" already. Overall, I feel this set was well worth the price. The quality is here, and the added convenience is a guaranteed time saver. Though the description is misleading, definitely look into these if you have a real need for them. You won't regret it.

Incomplete. Very disappointed in WoC.

Several cards were blank. Wizards of the Coast rushed this to market without ever completing it. Like, come on. Price gouging on a product they didn't even finish? GTFO of here with that.

Useful but low quality

These cards arrived today. Box was a little beat up, opened it up and the cards were a little dented at the corner. Not really a problem. But then I opened the pack and found that the plastic coating was already peeling off many of the cards. These things are not going to last long, which is a shame considering how expensive they are. They'll come in handy but between the low production quality and the cards missing monsters from the basic manual I should have just stuck with referencing the book.

A decent amount of monsters, but missing some important ones

The card quality of the product is good and very useful for sessions. However, the cards are missing everything in the appendix of the monster manual. This includes many of the beasts and humans. Disappointing that some of the most used creatures are not included.

Review of all the GF9 cards

Access to the monster rules is awesome. The cards are fairly solid, which is a plus. These are about the best you could do as far as monster cards go. This is about all of the GF9 Monster and NPC cards, since I got them all in one shot and am organizing and sorting them. Now on to the negatives: The cards are sticky and it took a while to separate all of them. Not everything in GF9's card series has images. A few of the cards list the wrong page in the books. The Epic cards are non-standard sizes, which means if you're using protector pages you have to get the 5x7 ones and have a huge amount of space on either side of the cards. Both the standard and the double wide cards have effective protector page options, though. And for a fairly trivial negative: They really could have made these easier to sort, maybe with a creature type pip on an edge, correct page numbers, etc etc. Just not something they focused on at all.

Amazing reference for DMs

It would seem that no one reads the description of items BEFORE they order. Not all the cards are illustrated but that's really not an issue. Wanna know what they monster looks like? There are a ton of ways to find the illustrations so utilize those options... I love these cards and they're an invaluable tool for quick reference while deep into a game or, even more so, while planning or creating an adventure. I will caution potential buyers to find something to protect these cards... they're only cardboard so find binder sleeves or loose card sleeves to put these in; they won't hold up long to heavy abuse or, heaven forbid, drinks being spilled on them.

Doesn't have all 0-5 monster cards

So I am going to start with the positives of this item. High quality cards, beautiful artwork, and perfect for any DM or someone that really enjoys D&D. The negative thing is that I got this deck believing that this would cover all base game creatures 0-5. The reason is that i bought the druid spell deck and wanted my creature transformations to supplement it. This deck left out all miscellaneous creatures which is where most druids pull creatures from to transform into (dire wolf, birds, spiders, etc.) The deck has a couple creatures that a druid can transform into but unfortunately they are uncommon ( fire/water/air elementals and a stirge.) So it was very disappointing to open this box. I am still going to use it when I get around to being a a DM since it is a great deck for that. Just wish that I knew that it didn't have all base creature cards with challenge rating 0-5 before buying this item.

Very disappointing. Artwork is missing on quite a few cards

Same as others have stated. They are missing artwork for quite a few cards, super disappointing. They decided to do a crappy job and save time. Such a shame from this company.

Inconsistent from other products

I like that these have the exact info from the Monster Manual, but the fact that the cards are not the same size makes it difficult to use. The small ones would fit into a 9x9 binder. However, the medium sizes don't fit in a binder. The next option would be an index card box, but there are large size cards that won't fit. These are a great idea, but not helpful in their current sizes. I'm disappointed, because it seems like whoever designed these hasn't ever been the DM or even played to know that this design is impracticable.

Helpful but uses duplicate art on Similiar Cards

If they hadn't used the same picture for "Alike Cards" I would have rated 5* Would be much better if they didn't just pull images from the book from various artists and just used 1 art style instead. Also not a big fan of them using 2 different card sizes, would have preferred the Jumbo cards just to be reqular sized. Definately helps take a lot of work out of combat freeing up time for critical thinking.

Needs more variety

While the cards themselves are well made and beautifully detailed, the lack of variety is evident. Based on the description given for the product, I was expecting a majority of the creatures featured to come from the Monster Manual rather than from three different books. The deck seems to be a little heavy handed in the dragon and demon categories which is great if that's all a DM wants to have their players encounter. I would recommend this deck more as a supplement and not your sole monster reference.

Great for DMs!

Great product! A must for any DM. Made it so much cleaner and easier than rifling through the Monster Manual, especially when there are several different monsters in a battle. The cards are nice and sturdy, and have all the critical info you need. They even have references to the page number in the MM if you want to read descriptions/lore. Keep in mind that it doesn’t have the miscellaneous creatures or NPCs you’ll find in the MM appendices. They sell a separate box for those. Highly recommended!

Great for DMs

An amazing product. The smooth glossy finish on the cards feels good to the touch and makes holding them enjoyable. The card stock is good, firm but not overly thick. The mixed card sizes makes them a bit awkward to store as the 6x3 inch cards don't fit in say a conventional deck box like the 2x3 cards but that's only a minor thing overall. Overall an amazing product, great for DMs and would highly recommend.

Good quality and handy for the DM

Wonderful for the stressed DM, just wish the missing cards didn't stress me out so much! The product implies all encounters for 0-5 CR. In this, even the artwork is lifted from the Monster Manual, so I expected to get all the 0-5 creatures, but there are some omissions. There are not many, which makes it puzzling to why there are any at all. Would rather have spent an additional $1 for all the cards from the MM than missing some. Still, good card quality and helpful in quickly setting up encounter stats. Would recommend, just realize you are not getting everything implied.

Great game-time time saver!!

These are high quality like the spell cards. The only reason I cannot give them 5 stars is because of the way I wanted to store them. The monsters that have more information of course come on bigger cards that don't fit in collector card sleeves pages, which is how I prefer to store the cards. (I understand the size difference is neccessary).

Love them

I bought these for my husband as a birthday gift and he loves them! They're perfect. They are a good size for use and have all of the relevant information. It is so much more convenient as a DM to have these. You can pull only the monsters you need for a session and leave the rest safely stored. So much easier than having to constantly refer to the books for this information. I would definitely recommend these to any D&D players.

Great cards, not standard in size

The cards themselves are great, good quality, detailed. However, they are not in any standard size (5”x5”), so getting sleeves for them is hard work. I had to purchase 5”x7” sleeves and cut them to the right size. Also no deck boxes for them, so had to purchase a carrying case for decks and resize with internal dividers.

Great Idea, Poor Implementation

Great artwork; however, cards come in 2 different sizes, which means you have to search twice to find anything. For example, some dragons on small cards, some on large. No rationale. Some card portrait, and some in landscape. Cards do not include full name, making alphabetizing and sorting ambiguous at best. Font very very small.

Awesome Deck. Excellent tool. Do not all have artwork.

These cards make my life as a DM infinitely easier. No more scribbling stats out ahead of time, flipping through a book, or printing pages out before. These cards make running a game a complete dream, from erasing the most tedious aspects of prep, to making it so much easier to DM on the fly. They do not all have artwork on the backs.

Great Art Work!

It seems the issue with a lack of art has been solved. Every single card has creature artwork. The animal and NPC cards are still absent and the different sized cards make organizing a tad difficult. These cards will be very useful for me as a DM.

Gorgeous DM accessory

I was so happy to receive these monster cards. Every card came with gorgeous art on one side and all of the monster's stats on the other including the page number in the Monster Manual. The cards feel durable and the font size allows for easy reference. About half of the cards are larger to accommodate additional move information. If I needed to put the cards in protectors this would be an issue but the lamination will keep them safe from most damage. I am so excited to use these in my home games.

Got to have but limited

a great thing to have for in person play but limited to the base game. Items in campaigns are not included. Images are limited too.

Great resource

These are super handy to have. All the information is clear and being able to see what the monsters look like is a plus, especially for our kids that like to play. I dmed a one shot for my husband and two kids and it was my first time dming. I went through the cards to pick monsters to fit my story so it was super easy to plan out.

Great reference cards

So these are a bunch of lower challenge (HD for all you old school D&D players) monster cards for 5e. They are well printed and there are a bunch! I've been taking older modules and using 5e rules for my group, which is sometimes hard to convert. These cards make it easier since I can pull out the ones I need and don't have to thumb through the Monster Manual all the time. Overall I think they are worth the cost.

Good quality, disappointed with the content

Like the title says, the cards themselves are nice and useful, I guess I just expected a more complete set. While many popular and frequently used monsters are included, I often found myself looking though trying to find one in particular, to no avail. I really wish it was easier to tell which statblocks are included in each box.

Generally Okay

A little bummed that several of the cards don't have artwork, and quite a few more are duplicates. I bought these as a visual aid for my players and they are also disappointed by the lack of artwork. Almost like it is an unfinished product.

Great as expected!

I made my own flash cards for NPCs but I wasn't feeling too good about making my own monster cards. This took a lot of the work off my hands. The cards look great and have all the relevant information needed.

CONCERNING MISSING ARTWORK...

My product did not have any. Instead, alternate art was used on 17 cards (4 of the 71 index sized & 13 of the 108 trading card sized - *see photos*). 5 star rating would require ALL of the CR0-5 creatures in the MM instead of this "range of deadly monsters" that is advertised. I'd still recommend due to the time saved from flipping back and forth through the rulebook during play / having to make your own stat blocks beforehand.

Missing 1 Card

Definitely needed as a DM. Only reason I didn’t give it a 5 was because it was missing the Earth Elemental card. Was kinda bummed about that since I wanted to throw one at my players for this upcoming session.

Great Deck For Challenging High Level Characters

Out of all the monster decks and character decks. This is by far my favorite. My player group are all high level and these group of monster cards are perfect for running my encounters easily. Highly recommend for challenging the higher level characters in a campaign.

Research before you buy

Two different card sizes make card sheets awkward. I purchased for reference on beasts, which has one card. Pretty mediocre set, just sell them by race and not cr, it'd be so much easier.

Good quality. They also sell a binder with card holders that fit these.

Pretty interesting selection. Lacking some basic cards and contains no animals/beasts. This should work for the first five levels or so of the canpaign.

Beautiful cards, wonderful to have.

Sturdy and worth the buy, no more flipping back and forth on the phone app or skimming through the book .

Who cares about the pictures

I don’t get the complaints about all the cars not having pictures, I bought them for the stat blocks and easy access, which I’m loving. If you really need to show your players what I can muster looks like use your phone to take a snapshot and show it to them with your phone that simple. Highly recommend to dungeon masters of any skill level.

Poorly organized in the box.

They should have been alphabetized. Also missing beasts and npcs. Still good though.

Worth the buy!

Sturdy, beautifully illustrated, and nice to not have to hassle with phone apps.

A Great Collection

If you need ease of access for your home games, or if you need a quick reference to a monsters abilities and stats, this is the way to go. More than worth the price. I use them to describe monsters as well without flipping through the monster’s guide book.

Missing Monsters

Card quality is great! Pictures are great! Durability is great! BUT, it was not clear that this isn't all the monster from CR 0-5 that are in the Monster Manual.

These are monster challenge raging 0-5 - make sure you understand what that means!

These are great. Little snippets with a picture on one side and the character block on the other. For people complaining that beholders are missing, this is challenge 0-5, and a beholder is challenge 13 in the MM.

you get what it says you get

a must have for any DM! very satisfied with this purchase. alot of reviews that are complaining about the 4 cards that don't have art work, did not read the product description. it clearly stats 73 have artwork, meaning 4 do not.

ok but not what I wanted

Cards are not laminated, (at the very least not what I think of laminated to be) they were closer to baseball cards and about 5 or so were bent over on themselves and have creases

Oddly sized

The size of the cards are making it difficult to find a way to store them in an easy to search type of way. Otherwise good quality just would have preferred a more standard format with multiple cards per monster.

Great Product!

Great resource for playing. It would be nice if the set was complete with all the monsters. Fun to make a stack, shuffle, roll the die, and let the games begin!

Defective products shipped

I really like the concept and the cards that weren't defective looked great and would be highly usable and convenient. The set I was set had @ dozen defective cards where the printing on the card faces were smeared and/or they had adhered together and portions of one card transferred to the cards beside it. Really disappointed.

A definite help

I don’t know if maybe they fixed the artwork or what but all of mine have pictures on them and they’re fantastic I couldn’t be happier!

Loved it

Colorful and useful for gaming

HORRID DO NOT BUY

these cards are incredibly sticky, missing art and just an overall mess, i am unable to return mine as i was out of town until a few days after return date. So no i am stuck with this garbage along wiht other cards with the same issue. 110% DO NOT BUY THESE.

Very good. Many sizes.

Got these for my husband. He likes them very much. He only wishes they were all the same size cards.

Great for building encounters

These cards makes things easier for a DM. No more flipping through pages in the books.

great

great for doing a random, off the cuff game... i was using them in my last game and they came in handy!

An excellence tool for DM's

I use the cards when I am DM an adventure and want to show the player a picture of the monster that they are fighting. I can prepare the cards for the adventure quicker then have to reference the monster manual.

DM must have

All these card sets save so much time ,,,must have for any DM

As expected! Storage is going to be rough.

A lot of cards. Everything is as expected with the exception of an assortment of cards being larger than the other baseball sized ones. Makes storage difficult...

Handy.

Its a good to have item.

Exactly what he wanted

My son will love it

Great set of cards

Box arrived a bit squashed from the corners, some cards got slightly damaged too, still a great set of cards to have, helps you to just get your monster blocks quick and easy without having to find them in the monster manual.

Poor art consideration

Disappointing repetition of artwork and missing artwork on many cards.

Good buy

Really helpful for quick referencing the books creatures. Plus adds a fun element of being able to show a pic of what the creature looks like.

Oh good, a third card size

It was hard enough to find storage solutions for the regular and oversized monster cards, and now they have introduced an even larger card. Im returning these because I want to keep all my cards together.

Lots of missing art

The other reviews mentioned only a few cards with missing art. I got a pack with about a third of the cards without art. This is trash, stay away.

Recommended for DMs

Great for DMs even if you use dndbeyond

Cool idea but needs improvement

Overall I'm not upset I bought these but I had higher expectations based on prior reviews. Not all CR 0-5 monsters were included. Some images of monsters are kinda lame. Box is flimsy, so I will need to find another way to keep them safe

Time saving

As a dm it is so amazing to be able to look at the stats of multiple monsters and not have to be flipping through a book!

Fun for teens

Grandson loved this

Could have been clearer...

No beast cards but great cards anyhow. Would have been a five star but for the description lacking a statement that not all creatures in the monster manual were in this set. Otherwise awesome cards!

Cards came damaged

The package took forever to send, some of the cards came bent due to the packaging being damaged. Not very happy with it but we’ll use the cards anyways

First time buyer

👍

Very useful

Very happy with them, love all the cards you do. Please do a beast collection next! This is the perfect gift for any DM that uses classical monsters.

Not for shape shifting

Don't buy for beast reference cards. Got these for my druid and it ended up being a waste, for that anyways. Now I will just use for next campaign. Great set, great quality. Would recommend

Missing MM monsters

Great Referance cards however it does not include all the 0-5 monsters from the Monster manuel like wolves and some others

Useful for DMs

Really useful set for me to use as a DM. Did find that some creatures were found in a different box set, but it was all good.

Love it. Missing pictures

Love the cards. Only problem is there are missing pictures on some of them.

There must be a new set of these because now all the cards have art. A welcome change.

Very Helpful

Easy to use and it references book pages on each card.

Yup

They're just like the mm but only on a card

Missing important info and not really all that useful for a DM

While most of the cards are fine, each and every card is missing the stat numbers for the monsters - they only include the modifier. Since many times you need the stat to run the monster (eg Dex 10(+0)), this is seriously annoying. Worse, I expected EVERY monster from the Monster Manual to be in this and they aren't. It's missing a bunch of monsters. Also, there was no need to have two different sizes for the cards. As a DM, I'm trying to have fewer things to lug around which is why I got the cards. So while I can carry some of the cards, I still always have to have the book. If I had it to do again, I wouldn't bother buying them because they are expensive and I tend not to use them.

Great, useful cards. Great art. Not "missing" anything.

These cards round out the complete set of monster decks by containing the legendary/lair monsters. They are a supplement to the Monster Manual, NOT a replacement for it. There seems to be some confusion about that (and "missing" art) and it's kind of baffling. I've found them to be extremely useful for reference during gameplay, so that I'm not constantly flipping from page to page. 2 things: 1) They do not replace the monster manual. They are a supplementary product. You should still have a Monster Manual. 2) They are not "missing" art. If the creature on the card has art in the Monster Manual (see point 1), then that art will be on the card. If the creature doesn't have art in the monster manual, its card won't have art. Pretty simple.

Goodies for DMs, not so much for player's

These cards are great for any dm to have on the table, just grab some cards from your deck for the encounters you've planned and leave the monster manual behind. Simple and easy to use! However on the creature and npc pack, there's a lot of missing art, but honestly if you've ever seen a lion or brown bear on TV you already know what they look like. There are some funny things there too, like if your looking specifically for a zombie beholder, it's in the npc pack, and the slaads? All of them are in the 6-16 except for red, he is challenge rating 5 so he's by himself in the 0-5 box. However if your complaining about not finding creatures and beasts in the MONSTER packs, your not paying attention to what your getting, theres a creature pack full of animals for duids to turn into.

Not much flash

These are exactly what they say they are but they are not very high on the presentation scale. So I won't get anymore and found these on a discount rack. The pictures are boring and not very vibrant and the name is on the front of them. So if you wanted to show them a picture of it and they had no idea what it was they now have the name. So if it is a rust monster the formerly unaware players would rush into combat with their sticks and unarmored characters. It isn't much but investing in these does not seem to be the way to spend your DnD money. Just get the manual and show them pics from there because that is all these are.

Great addition to my game

These cards are a great addition to our game. Very easy to use. Also adds some variety since there are different races of some of the enemies that give some variety to the figures we use. Definitely worth the price.

No animal/beasts cards, no common NPC cards

I specifically bought this product to help conjurers, druids, paladins and rangers with animal companion. There is not card for horse, panther, no beasts whatsoever, no common human NPC; the only monsters you will find are the ones with picture associated in the Monster Manual. I would not recommend this product.

Four Stars

Good buy

Pretty misleading to be honest

Missing every beast so you’ll need to buy a whole separate deck if you want those. Also the cards are different sizes for some reason so you have to flip through two different decks instead of the one book, which is a bit annoying.

Unbelievably handy

I'm a new DM that struggles to search the monster manual for encounters for my players. This has allowed me to sift through and prepare various combinations for anything they'd encounter. And the added anticipation when they see me digging through the box for something special.

Vary good for d and d

Bought them for my boyfriend. He loves them.

Good Quality

Box was in great condition.

Some cards damaged

Some of the cards appear to have been affected by a manufacturing defect as they are missing part of the lamination in a strip down the side.

Incomplete Set.

The cards themselves are high quality, however they are missing some common enemy types that might surprise. As an example, they are missing cutists, wolves, and giant spiders. I believe because they are not "monsters" but either humanoids or beasts, however there are other humanoids and beasts included, so it's a little inconsistent. What they do have though is excellent, and can save you some time copying things out.

Great cards, but why the parchment background

Overall I like these cards. Very useful to have all of that information on one card. However, I do not understand the parchment (light brown) background applied behind the text. That just reduces the contrast with the black text. Contrast would be higher with a white background. In the middle of a game session, I want to have the quickest access to information and high contrast helps provide that. RPG industry: please stop publishing these books and cards with light brown parchment background on the pages/cards. These items are a utility for me as a Dungeon Master, not some ancient tome that is a critical prop for the game.

Maybe in an Expansion

This product came exactly as promised, came at a very good speed and I am actually quite happy with the product. However, I feel that they dropped the ball a little bit with this one. While the cards give you some staple monsters and creatures from the Monster Manual, I feel that they left out some that could have been a great addition. So while the product is really good, exactly as they describe it, I feel it's slightly lacking some really good options - That however is my personal opinion, and hopefully they'll bring out some of the creatures in a later expansion. Great product otherwise, Valuable for any DM.

Nice cards, poor organizational model.

So, why do you get a product like this? To be able to find a card and have a card related to a monster for an encounter quickly. The cards are sorted in monster manual sequence, and in two separate groups double sized and normal sized. So finding a card for a monster always needs two searches. And also, not all the relevant information for an encounter is on every card, so sometimes you have to refer back to a source. It's the constant referral to sources I was hoping to avoid.

That's a buy!

These cards are really cool. I love the art of the monsters and the ease of the layout. All the information for a monster is on the card and very easily accessible rather than flicking through a book to find the details. There are also some monsters I wouldn't have thought to use but can now add them into my games to make them more interesting. Very well priced too for the amount of cards you get in the box!

Makes life easier for DMs, gives players something nice to look at.

These cards made things a lot simpler for me as the DM, instead of flipping between the stat blocks and the map and the spells, I picked out the cards needed for the campaign before hand and put down the ones that appeared. Instead of having to look up their stat blocks again, I could just take a peek at the back of the card, sparing me a bit of page juggling. Also, they have nice illustrations so players can really picture what’s trying to attack them.

Good purchase

These are handy to have around when playing large games. Easy to take out the monsters you need. Some cards don't have pictures, which is really kind of lazy.

Good cards, but some missing...

Product is nice, but it's disappointing they didn't add the NPCs and basic enemies from back of the monster manual. Feels like a cash grab. Still nice to have the reference cards. If you want to spend the money knowing this, then it's totally worth it.

Exactly what you expect.

This is pretty much exactly what you think. I had no issues with the cards that were delivered, no bent corners, no cards sticking together, it was all great. These cards will definitely help with quick references for encounters! 10/10 will buy more.

Poor postage standards, good product

Was only posted in a padded bag so when I got it the box had broken apart and had a tear in it. The cards were fine but, as it was a gift, it looked pretty dodgy. The express post also took a week longer than estimated, not sure if that has to do with Amazon though.

Bellissime

Great quality

Great cards to quickly have reference to the monsters. Good quality cards as well

Good stuff

Exactly what I wanted it to be. I already had the higher level one.
