Same as "ABCs of RPGs"

Hadn't realized this was basically just a D&D repackaging of the author's "ABCs of RPGs" book, which is good if you don't already have that, but a disappointment if you do.

My 3yr old grandaughter loves it! Her parents and uncle play D&D and she wants to be involved

Love the illustrations, love the ABC aspect and my grandchild adores the book. Will be buying the 123 book for her 4th birthday next month. and making her a hooded cape 'cause who doesn't need a cape when they are a fearless adventurer? They are designing some adventures just for her to play with them. Believe it or not, this is the reason she is not at all afraid of monsters, she loves them! She states "if a monster came to her house, they would just "vanquish it" so cute to hear a 3yr old state that, but then I may be partial

Introduce Letters and Adventure in One Fun Book!

What better time to introduce the magic of role playing and Dungeons & Dragons than during early child development? And what an awesome way to learn and share that magic between a geek mom or dad and their adventurer-in-training? The ABC's of D&D is a brilliantly crafted book, filled with bright and colorful pages of the things we all love about the world's greatest roleplaying game. Adventure, Books, Creatures, and on and on! This book is an entertaining way for parents to teach their children colors, letters, shapes, and the characteristics of heroes and fair play. It was so good, that I contributed to the Kickstarter for my copy of "The ABC's of RPG's," and then bought a copy of "The ABC's of D&D" as soon as it was published as well! Extra Note: The differences between the two books are subtle but significant. It was definitely worth be purchasing both copies. They keep the books fresh for my toddler between readings. There's something different about each of them that keeps them further interested. We even read both books side-by-side to tell the differences between each letter's page.

4 year old loves it

4 year old loves the illustrations and for the most part pronounceable words. Granted there are a few tough/long ones, but most can be sounded out really easily. The illustrations are nice and he loves pointing out the different creatures in it. Would definitely recommend for early readers and growing adventurers. Really the only negative I have for the book is that if you're reading straight through - and not stopping at every page to point out creatures and things the adventurers are doing - the rhythm can feel a little off because the rhyming can sometimes only be found after turning the page.

Cute book for D&D loving parents to read to their little ones

Super cute! My hubby loves D&D and was so excited when we found this book. He has read it to our 5 month old several times at bedtime now. The pictures are super cute and they picked words that are great vocabulary words as opposed to it only applying to someone that knows and understands D&D lore which I think makes it awesome. It really shows the spirit of D&D for someone that hasn’t played, but has cute nods to the game for players reading it to their little ones. I would love a board book version too, so my son could hold onto it too!

Such a fun bedtime ritual that provides something for my daughter that she can't get somewhere else.

My daughter is very into Disney Princesses and My Little Pony and all of that, and while that's fine and dandy with me... I'd like to have something that rounds that out and encourages her to adventure, develop a strong and supportive group of friends, and allow her to imagine and explore beyond the boundaries of established characters and their defined roles within their world. I'd like her imagination to grow with her understanding of herself and D&D is a great outlet for that. This book caught my 3 year old little girl's attention from her first glimpse at the cover and she asks me to read her this and the 123's nightly. It's awesome to have her point out Almiraj (unicorn bunnies with leopard spots), or the Tabaxi (cat people), and even more rewarding to have her take notice of the female wizard who leads and supports her group and helps them by giving them "magic shoes". When she eventually moves on from this book, I'll be storing it in my memory treasure chest forever.

Great book for babies and kids (and D&D-loving parents)!

I bought this book to read to my unborn baby in utero, and it's been great. I love feeling little kicks through my wife's stomach while I read this book out loud. As a D&D player who enjoys the book's contents myself, I plan to get continued use out of the illustrations and D&D terms (O is for Owlbear!) through the infant and toddler years.

Love this and the 123 Book

Basically copy and pasting my review from the 123s book as we enjoy both of them. My husband and I both enjoy DnD and we have a 3 year old daughter who I hope will one day enjoy it as well. These books (we also got the 123s book) are perfect for her age and are just a pleasure to read to her. The illustrations are wonderful and I appreciate the shorter length. They aren't meant to be adventure tales. They are books to learn counting/numbers or the ABCs. A 10 year old is probably not going to enjoy READING these although they may enjoy the illustrations. Perfect for nerdy family with very young children.

Great illustrations

My two year old loves this book. The pictures are great. My only complaint is that it’s not very D&D specific.

Great book but came in damaged

The product itself is awesome the inside is fun and colorful in the artwork is amazing, the illustrations and the book content of itself is awesome! However, the book came in with a huge scratch in the upper left-hand corner. In order to have it replaced I'd have to go to a UPS Store and send it back, even to get a refund for it I'd have to do this which takes time out of my life because of somebody else's mess up. So basically I paid full price for a damaged book.

Cute for D&D fans

It's exactly what you think it is: cutely illustrated ABC's book with words related to fantasy RPG's / D&D. Fun if you are a fan of the game.

Fun for the whole geeky family!

I ordered this book for a toddler's 2nd birthday. His parents game with me and I thought they might enjoy it, as well. I liked it so much, I ordered it - AND the 123 book - for my kids. If you have a little gamer on your holiday list, buy them!

Dungeons & Dragons & Babies

I love this book. I was the DM for a D&D campaign with my friends for several years, and it has remained a passion of mine. My first child was just born this year, and I am starting him down the nerd trail early. A+ book, love the illustrations and reading it to my son.

Wonderful present

I got this book for my friends son. Apparently they read to him to get him to sleep. Well when they read this book to him he got so excited that they had to read about 3 more books to him to get him to actually go to sleep. Needless to say, I think he likes it.

Teach those offspring about the power of Dungeons & Dragons early!

This is freaking adorable, y'all. My brother and I grew up on DnD so when he and his wife discovered they are having a little offspring on the way, I just knew he needed this book to start em off early. I believe he will get much more enjoyment from it than the kid. The art is cute and the hardback is sturdy.

A perfect book from a perfectly kind company

This book is so so clever! The art is fantastic and the words used to represent the letters are so fun. Veronica with bellwether books was amazing to work with when I had a problem finding my package. What a great company and a great product.

Perfect for Expecting Dungeon Masters

Bought for a friend who loves d&d and I hope he’ll show it to his kids in the future. Good quality cover and pages. Exactly as I wanted.

Great book for D&D fans children...

My granddaughter’s parents are into D&D, so it’s the perfect gift for their infant daughter to have for years to come. The book is fun & full of D&D terms for early learning of the game while learning letters.

Stunning artwork

Beautifully drawn and fun to read. Pages are coated and less likely to tear. I'm still apprehensive about giving it to a 18 month old because it's so nice and he's not quite ready for non- cardboard books. I do think the pages will hold up better than regular paper pages. I wish there was a cardboard version.

Cute! Good gift for an expecting D&D player

Cute imaginative illustrations! Perfect for the child of a D&D fan (whether they actively play or just fondly reminisce). A few words are really specific to D&D but most are appropriate for any fantasy-bookworm too.

These are an easy and adorable read.

These books (ABCs and 123s of D&D) are great. The illustrations are good quality and the text is simple enough for my young nieces, a few of which think D&D is fun even though they don't fully understand what they're doing rolling the dice. These are an easy and adorable read. I should add that I, of course, got these for D&D loving parents!

Strongly Put Together

Beautiful Books! Will be kept up high on the Shelf until hes old enough to not damage But the colors and illustrations are beautiful and he loves it!

Great addition to any library

This was so cute. My husband bought it for a good friend of ours who was expecting and I fell in love with it. The illustrations are very beautifully done. And the writing is very playful and heart warming. Totally recommend it.

Perfect for any D&D fan

I purchased this for a secret santa gift at work. The recipient loved it. Combining two loves, your favorite game and child. What an awesome way to spend quality time was learning.

Great Gift to share my Geekdom with my kids

I picked up this book alongside its number counterpart. My 2 year old daughter likes the rhyme scheme and the art. I am happy to show her a book that encoruages excessive imagination. As an established critter and lover of Geek and Sundry I'm happy to contribute.

Adorable

Well written and illustrated, this is an adorable book to use to introduce little ones to the wonderful world of D&D! I’ve gotten a copy for each of my nephews and every friend I’ve had who has had a baby since I found out about it. I recommend it to everyone I know too!

3-year old loves it!

3-year old loves the drawings and words. Wish they got a little more "D&D" focused but I probably don't want to have to explain Armor Classes and Saving Throws to my toddler.

It's great!

I love d&d. It's opened up my ability to connect with others. I bought this to read to my kid before bedtime. I love the book, and he loves listening to me read. Hopefully he picks up the hobby when he's older!

Teach your baby to read early!

Adorable age-appropriate picture book to help your baby learn to read and become a powerful wizard and cast ninth level spells. They will someday be more powerful than Raistlin Majere

Be sure to buy the 123 book too!

I bought this for my 4 month old granddaughter to give to her D&D loving uncle for his birthday. He loves reading it to her. I bought the D&D 123 book for her to give for Christmas.

A bedtime favorite.

This is a really fun book. I love dnd and my kids love when I include them in my game planning. Or play games with them. This is a perfect bedtime book and it’s a favorite for my 2 and 4 year olds. Ive even caught my 7 year old reading it to them.

A vital players guide for fledgling adventures

My husband is loving reading this to our lo. It’s a non-cheesy fun way to learn your abc’s, or to unwind before bed. Well written and adorably Illustrated. This is a purchase worth the price.

Cute!

Very cute book! If there were a hardcover with cardboard page book for younger kids that would have been even better. For now we read it to my little one since he will tear out the pages playing! haha

Love it!

Our daughter loves this book! We have read it three times already today! Of course my husband and I both love it too because we are both D&D player. Highly recommend for any nerdy parents or little ones who love books!

Perfect D&D parents

Great gift for a D & D family. I enjoyed that it was licensed by Wizards of the Coast

Great Artwork

I got it as a gift for my friends baby. They love it! They love the artwork and the theme. It is a good book, I will have to get the numbers one too! I love the quality too!

cute book

Husband loves playing dnd and loves he has a book that can help our LO learn and possibly peak his interest in dnd to play with dad!

Great Book

This is a fun whimsical book, unfortunately the binding of the book is a bit off on the second to last page. It appears to be a problem with the company who binds the book as it also occurred on the 1,2,3s of D&D. I recommend this book for children of those who play. I love the illustrations and the creativity of the words.

Cute book for kids and adults

It's a little advanced for an ABC type book, and doesn't really have a good cadence as children's books go. But the upside is that the illustrations are great, very cute and with lots of engaging details. My kid also enjoys hearing new words that are beyond the reading level of her usual books. All in all it's a fun way to share the idea of your hobby with young kids.

This is absolutely precious

The structure of this book is really fun and the artwork is incredible. This is a must-buy for adult fans of D&D with little kiddos.

Just buy it!

Don't forget the 123's of D&D...you already know you want them if you clicked here! No nasty surprises! Indoctrinated them young??

Great quality; fun illustrations and creative text!

I bought this book for my husband's birthday, while we were expecting a baby. He loves D&D; I don't. But now that the baby is here, even I enjoy reading it to her. The illustrations are great and the text is very creative and fun. It definitely conveys an adventurous spirit, which I hope my daughter will pick up. The book is well-made. Not a board book for babies, though.

Cute!

My daughter loves this book! She's 2 and she loves the pictures and the story. She asks for it almost every night.

Worth the money

Both my fiance and I are big DnD fans so when I saw this I had to get it for our baby. He's no where near the age of reading but the bright colors in the book catch his attention when we read it to him during tummy time.

Start the questing young

As a nerd and lover of d and d what a great way to start the next generation of adventurers. I bought this for a baby shower, the request was to bring a book that they could read to their child with a note inside. Educational and fun!

Perfect for your adventurer.

The art is wonderful and the book is great quality. I found the ABCs just right to inspire a wider vocabulary and inspirations. I cannot wait to read this to my son!

Buy this book

This book is wonderful. Its bright and colorful. The pictures are amazing and I love all the nerdy extras they added. I brought this as a gift and my friend loved it. She can't wait to read it to her little one. She was especially happy with her favorite monster in the game being the monster for the letter O.

Love It!

The words in the book are a little on the more advanced side so maybe not for very small children, but still an amazing book. The pictures are very well done and the colors attract my little girl's attention. My fiance and his friends love it as well!

Fantastic book!

I was thrilled to see that a book like this exists. I bought it for my young daughter, and she loves it!

Cute book

This book is so cute. It is a perfect introduction into D&D for little ones. My hisband and I love to play D&D, so it was really fun to read with our kids!

Daughter loves it!

This is one of the many books my daughter chooses to read (I read) before bed. Book is well made, pages are thick and pictures are fun! Maybe one day my kids will wanna play DND!

LOVE this book!!!

Love this and the 123 of D&D. Great, great picture books for future gamers!!

Great children's book!

Bought these for my daughter and she loves them. Bought the ABCs and 123s books.

Love this Book!!

This book is absolutely gorgeous and adorable! I love D and D, and it is a great way to introduce the kids!!

Inspires kidventures

Totally appropriately inspirational for my 6 yr old. Everything it should be. We'll see in a few months if it does the trick!

Great for learning

Has now become a go to for me and my son. He.has it basically memorized; and as a D&D Dad...I couldn't be happier!

Excellent book

This is one of the best children’s books I’ve bought. Love it.

Super cute!

My DnD loving husband was thrilled to read this to our girls.

Heart-Swelling Whimsical Wonder

I bought this for my grandson, who won't be reading for a few years, but my wife and I love it. It's very whimsical and captures the imagination and wonder of playing D&D.

A great book!

A nice simple book to read to my son, he seemed to enjoy it as well. Very well made

Alphabet made fun for both parents and kids.

A Wonderful book for kids to learn and use their imaginations with. The best. I highly recommend both of them.

Love these books!

Just like the 1,2,3’s book, this book is awesome! Everyone should buy them for there children.

Awesome!

Super cute book! It has a great rhythm and each page has the right amount of words for a young child. This is a great way to introduce the concept of creativity, imagination, and fantasy!

Nerd Kids!

My favorite d and d book ever!

When you want to teach your target audience to read,

Use a book that is written for the target audience. Our little one is getting ready to start school but he already sits at the table watching everyone play Dungeons & Dragons. This was perfect to combine learning his letters with his love of D&D.

D&D lovers must have

Adorable book would definitely recommend as a gift for anyone who has kids who likes D&D.

Love it

Super cute! Love this book if your a D&D fan get this book for your kid!

Super cute

Super cute set of books.

Super cute!

The illustrations and story is really good and my son likes looking at the pictures to find new monsters and such. Greatly enjoy this little book!

Perfect Intro to DnD, with inclusive illustrations!

My 3.5 year old nerd-niece loved this book, asking for it to be read to her again and again. She was captivated by the illustrations, providing back stories to the female adventurers shown. This really nailed a kid's first DnD book. Well done!

Cuite book

Overall cuite book. Some of the pages were stuck together from the printing process. However by being careful no damage was done

Awesome!

I loved this book and so did my kids.

Cute Book for the Nerd in Your Life

Bought as a gift, but absolutely love it. Start your kids off early!

X is for XP.... haha

Adorable and great for my kids and I to read together. Funny monsters.

Excellent starting point for kids.

It will do a good job for young table top players. It will give them a basic feel for things.

Perfect Baby Book for the Nerd in your Life.

My sister in law and her husband loved this book so much when we gave it to them for their baby shower. It was a huge hit.

Such a cute book

My boyfriend and I are long time D&D players expecting our first kid. This book was beyond our expectations. We knew we would like it going into the purchase, however the letters represented stuff we weren’t expecting but were super happy with!

Really cute book

My kid turned his nose up at it, but he'll be in love with this book when he decides to leave his other Christmas toys alone for a few minutes.

Great book!

Fun to read and great as a teaching tool.

Educational and fun!

Absolutely adorable! Can't wait to read this to my nephew!

Fun & Unique

Great illustrations, fun and rereadable writing (doesn't grow old after multiple reads); my 3 year old daughter really enjoys it. I'm a nerd for D&D, so an easy win there!

Love this

Adorable book for any dnd lover who wants to share that love with their kids

Good quality and fun!

Very cute book for lovers of DnD. I probably appreciate it more than my kids (they're still pretty young) but it's very clever and fun! Good quality cover, printing and sturdy pages too!

Learning adventure!

Well written with cute pictures. The grandkids love it and so do I!

Not your average ABC's book.

The colors and print are wonderful and the pages seem to be a little bit thicker so they don't seem to rip easy.

Great for fans

Kid likes it. Built solid.

Love D&D, love my kids, and love this book!

This book is great! Helps me teach my boys the alphabet and the dangers of the underdark at the same time! My oldest is obsessed with owlbears now and I couldn't be prouder.
