Be Holy (Leviticus): Becoming "Set Apart" for God (The BE Series Commentary)

Good. I give it 5 stars but for my purpose which was to really understand Leviticus well enough to teach it thoroughly it was probably 3 Stars.. There are simply better resources for that and I will recommend those time and time again. Michael Morales, Mark Rooker, & Allen P. Ross. I wrote reviews on all there works. Wenham and Hartley are the best commentaries but I think the other 3 are more important to begin with. Leviticus has to be one example of a book you can’t simply read in a corner, you have to rely on the church. God has designed it that way, we ARE given teachers and these men devoted years upon years with these writings so that we can learn what they gathered in a matter of months. What a blessing! I stand on there shoulders. Anywho, I think I will recommend this book by Wiersbe to any common church member who wants to read something for themselves! This is perfect. Warren definitely knows more than he writes here and it’s an easy read. When I teach this if someone could only read one book I’m giving them either this or Michael Morales biblical theology of Leviticus. The latter is probably the best but it would definitely be hard for someone to read who hasn’t studied the Bible a great deal. Kindle version is just fine for the record!

Leviticus was not high on my list of Bible study books. In fact I have studied nearly every book except Leviticus. But Pastor Wiersbe made it relevant and challenging for today. I want to see what he does with Numbers in his commentary, Be Counted.

God wants us to be holy. He enables us as we walk with Him. Wiersbe takes a book of the Bible that we usually skip and brings it to life.

Who likes reading Leviticus? Isn't it all dry? Wiersbe really brought Leviticus to life for me this time around and helped me see JESUS CHRIST in the law. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading through it a second time!

I loved this study. Leviticus is hard to read through for most people, but this was really insightful. I found myself really enjoying reading through this book of the Bible and learning A LOT that I may not have learned on my own. It includes many different opinions/thoughts from different theologians, pastors, etc, which I appreciate. I would absolutely read/use this again. It worked great for a group bible study, but would also work for individual study!

Dr. Wiersbe does an outstanding job explaining the entire book of Leviticus. Until this study, I did not understand the significance of the Jewish feasts and animal sacrifices. Dr. Wiersbe not only explained their significance, but most importantly explained how the Lord Jesus fulfilled each one.

I am enjoying this book. Mr. Wiersbe knows how to explain the Bible. He is able to explain it so great and plain that even a little child will be able to understand him. So whenever you need a clear understanding of a particular book in the Bible check out Mr. Wiersbe's series. You will not be disappointed.

This was a free Digital E-Book as a gift for subscribing to (David C. Cook Books) related to scripture that I stumbled upon through using the (YouVersion Bible App.) I haven't read it yet but am looking forward too.

A good high level study of Leviticus. Goods insights without getting too technical. Served well as a discussion guide for a group study with people with varying degrees of Biblical knowledge.

This book is a must read. Wiersbe gives an insightful approach to the book of Leviticus (a book on holiness and the mosaic law) and makes it applicable to the modern-day believer.

Really appreciating this series. I use this series often as I study the Bible. There are clear explanations, and always something new for me to consider.

I love all Dr. Wiersbe's books from the "Be" series.

I am teaching Middle School young adults Sunday Scool class and this book answers lots of questions, and gives me insight to teach Leviticus.

The BE series has been my favorite study series in a long time. I use the guides quite often.

So helpful. I'm reading the Bible front to back in a year. This text is easy to understand. Biblically sound. Be Holy shares how Leviticus' sacrifices point toward Christ.

I have nearly all of Mr. Wiersbe's study books, and each and every one is written with much clarity, thought, and presented in such a way anyone can understand them and benefit from them as well.

Very helpful in gaining understanding of the Bible

Filled with references to scriptures, the explanations relate well. The questions at the end of chapters are thought provoking.

You get to learn about a book no one ever touches. Wiersbe also connects the scripture to the New Testament to bring it more meaning and understanding of how it all is connected.

As is coming to be expected, All of this series is just fantastic and offers excellent insight for a solid price.

As usual, this commentary provides insight to understanding the books of the Old Testament. Wiersbe provides cross-references between various books in the Old & New Testament and provides unbiased views. If your looking to understand Leviticus, read this along side of it.
