Alfred's Basic Piano Library: Piano Lesson Book, Complete Levels 2 & 3 for the Later Beginner (Alfred's Basic Piano Library)

The Basic Piano series by Alfred's is great for my piano students. The Basic moves along at a fairly good pace and is strong on music theory. What I love about this book is it combines lesson book 2 and 3, (in order), so the one book lasts my students longer. I also use the notespellers with these books to make sure the music theory is covered. I highly recommend these for students who are younger, (from 6 up), to follow along in this series. As it progresses, the pieces become more challenging and are super for teaching piano without leaving anything out.

I use this set of books because they are what my piano teacher chooses to teach from. I enjoy most of the songs, but there are some that are grueling to play. They are in there to teach dexterity, so I understand that they are necessary for development. I would prefer to learn from an adult beginner book, but these work just fine for my level of learning. These would be great for older children or younger adolescents. The seller was very prompt in delivery, and very accurate with the description of the product. I would recommend both the product and the seller to friends. Overall very happy with the purchase.

my son now can move on to this level, this book is very self explanatory that he can just follow and play his new song. a good buy.

I love the way these books are set up. We completed the lesson level 1 book last year. I was able to easily set up lessons for my homeschooler to include this as an accepted course for her electives.

My husband absolutely loves this book!! He is retired and spends several hours a day learning new concepts and techniques at his first love - the piano!

Easy to learn from and teach out of. Currently using for my 7 year old and it's fairly easy to comprehend on her own...very little explanation needed. She is young beginner

My preteen daughters use this curriculum with a piano teacher. They are doing great this is what our piano teacher likes to use. She uses it verbatim, page for page.

I use this when I teach private piano students, and it is a great book. It is easy to use, and helps the student learn with their songs and how they explain things!

For the budding pianist looking for instructions, this book won't fulfill that need. It is early grade sheet music only. So, be aware.

I like that it covers both levels 2 and 3! But the page numbers don't say which book (2 or 3) the assignment goes to. Love the assignments.

In fact, it's EXACTLY like an extension to lesson one. Seriously though, it's the logical next step after lesson one. If you liked the first one, you'll like this one.

Wasn't completely thrilled with this, bought Adult All in One THeory book and found it much better. This book is great for kids that are beginners. I teach piano and bought this for a 25 year old and it's definatly for younger kids just learning!

Awful! Very blurry. Not what I was expecting based on the sample I received. I will not purchase similar products. NOT satisfied!
