Amazing π
This series has kept my attention from start to finish with the dark drama, killer suspense and steamy smut (just enough without it being over kill).. I'm in love with all the characters..I love Eclipse (Lips), she's a total bada** and I love the guys, Harley (THE MOST!), Blaise, and Ash! But most of all I love her friendship with Avery and the family that they all are trying build and the bonds they are forging! However there was a few cons for me.. The ending wasn't the ending I expected and it didn't give me the wow factor I'm looking for their ending just didn't feel like an ending it just could of been better for me.. But I know a few of the other Characters have there own sequels so maybe it's not really their ending after all..All in all it was a great read and I'm looking forward to reading more of J Bree's books!!!
My favorite series!
Hannaford Prep is in my top 5 series! I have all the physical copies, e books and audiobooks (the audio is how I fell in love with Lips and her family) J Bree is one of those authors that I love everything she writes her character building and relationship building is honestly some of the best I've ever read (and I read a lot) for those who love this series as much as I do definitely check out her Bonds That Tie Series even if you are not in to PNR it's just as amazing!
Intense
This book is so good but so dark. Even more so than the first 3 in the series. It also feels more like High School than the others did which makes everything that happens that much more cringe-y. I preferred to pretend they were all older than the author wrote them so this one was a little harder to read at times but the ending was flawless and I loved the twists and turns.
Read the series
Just started reading her and completed the series in 2 days. Loved it!! On to Averys story and hopefully read more on these guys

LOVE!!!
One of the best series Iβve read! I was hooked the entire time through each book! It was so hard to put down!!
The best ending
I was really waiting for some bad things to happen when I read the reviews. Yes things did happen, not as bad as I thought, but as things unraveled everything became clear as day. Wolf is a force to be reckoned with. Her family is big and loyal. The last few chapters will have you page turning until the end.
Wow. What a twisty turning series
Loved it. Normally I have issues with high-school books like this but it was well written and I used my sense of disbelief to tell myself they were actually older. That helped get me through. Especially since I can't imagine my son who is 17 doing the stuff these kids did.
5 stars
This series is gonna make your head spin . I couldn't believe who wax related to who. Read this book in one sitting . It is hard to believe they are in high school. If you enjoy suspense & reverse harem you need to read this series . I enjoyed getting to know alk the characters & there different personalities.
This entire series is amazing!
What an ending to this series! I said in my review of Just Drop Out that I read this entire series back to back. I would finish one book and then immediately start the next because I was so invested in this story and these characters. There were some things that I was so sure were going to be revealed that when the truth came out, I was shocked because I was so wrong. I wonβt say more than that because there are some things that arenβt revealed until the last few chapters and I want everyone else to be as floored as I was when they read it. While Lips is an absolute bad*** from the very beginning she still has so much growth throughout the series that itβs incredible. Iβve said it for multiple reviews now, but I absolutely love the friendship between Lips and Avery. I swear that if those two put their minds to it they could take over the whole world. Lipsβ relationship with the guys is another thing that I loved. At first Harley was my favorite of the guys but honestly by the time we get to the end of Play the Game, I couldnβt pick a favorite. I loved them all in their own way for different reasons and all of them together, the guys and Lips, really do make the best unit. The guys, along with Avery and the other members of Lipsβ found family helped her to realize that she wasnβt alone and that she could rely on others instead of having to deal with everything herself. This really was such an amazing series and Iβm so glad that there are other books in this world because I canβt wait to read more.

A phenomenal ending to an epic series (though I refuse to accept this is the end)
I'm going to start this review by restating something I said in my reviews on the other books. Hannaford Prep is hands down the best book series I have ever read and J. Bree nailed this story so perfectly that I'm struggling to find the words to convey how spectacular this story is. It's an RH yes, it's a romance yes but it is soooo much more than that. This series is everything. It really cannot be labeled or classified as one thing. You want suspense and action? Check. You want romance? Check. You want that romance with a hefty side of well written smexy times? Check. Check. Check. You want fierce and unique characters? Check. You want deep character and world building? Check. You want a dose of humor? Check. You unputdownable, loss of sleep? Check. I found this series a while back but I think I was feeling burnt out on "bully" plot line and hadn't found anyone who did it well so once I saw that was an aspect of this series I passed at the time. Something brought this series back into my lane and I can't say why I started it but I'm forever ruined now. I can't seem to move on. I keep adding other books to my TBR and I keep starting this series over again because I can't let these characters go. If there is any chance that J. Bree reads this review I am going on record asking that you PLEASE consider a follow up series on these characters. Please take us to college or into their early adult life where we can see how they really start to build out "the Wolf's empire". Lips would be an epic, albeit unwilling ruler. While I'm dying to read more about Avery and Atticus (and perhaps Aodhan?) and super intrigued about Lips' brother (Morningstar), I can't let this group go. I've just never read a group that came to life like this before. I need more. I love you so hard for giving me the best read of my life. Thank you. Okay, moving on...book four sees us to the conclusion of all the strife that has been building since the beginning with the Jackal, Senior Beaumont, and the Devil. These showdowns are epic and I'm not sure if you'll understand when I say this but it was really realistic. What I mean by that is that while Lips is a serious bad@$$ she doesn't come out unscathed from these showdowns like some sort of Mary Sue. So much drama and suspense (in a good way). You'll be chewing off finger nails (and shedding some tears) in the last quarter of the book. Book four also brings us deep into the relationship between Lips, Harley, Blaise and Ash and it is HOT. It has every box checked for me in the stuff I like to see with my romance. J. Bree did such a good job of building us to this point slowly and with so much steam and heat that by the time we get here we're beyond ready and she delivers. It's some of the best smexy scenes I have ever read, and I've read lots. :) Like I've said, I'm not able to let these characters go. I can't seem to move on. If you haven't started this series you owe it to yourself to start this same obsession.
4.75 stars for the conclusion of this series
I donβt even know how to start my review. So much happened in this book, so much was revealed, and we meet a bunch of new characters. So itβs now the senior year of all the main characters we have been following since book one, Lips, the three boys, and Avery. There is so much going on outside of Hannaford Prep... so much that is affecting the real lives of these high school senior students. There is the danger of the Jackal, Senior, and all the random people that are siding with Jackal. Lips takes on the task of protecting Avery and the boys, even though the boys can handle themselves. Illi is such an amazing character to have, being faithful and willing to do anything to protect the Wolf (I need to read Butcher of the Bay!). Heads continue to appear, and Lips has no idea who is sending it to her. All we know is that itβs someone that is avenging the bad things that she went through and continues to go through. We find out a lot of key important details that relate to her past and pave way to other series branching out from this one. Letβs talk about the intimate scenes. Finallyππ»FINALLYππ» we get some good ones! It only took 4 books into the series ππ. I love that we get smexy scenes with each individual character first and then we βgraduateβ to mΓ©nage ones. Um... this is RH... I expected there to be scenes with all 4 of them. But alas, and very sadly, we donβt get any πππ. The ones we got though... oh dear lord... jeeezus π₯΅π₯π¦ππ . I mean... it seemed as if books 1-3 were foreplay leading up to the climax π (this book). I was here for it allππ»ππ»ππ». Get yours Lips!!! GET YOURSπ. The scenes towards the end of the book π±. It was cinematic for sure!!! So many deaths (so many innocent lives) but we get the expected conclusion with the deaths of those needing to die in order for our MCs to live peacefully. The attention to details... even when people were being murdered was good (buuuut... thereβs someoneβs death I wish we had seen in its entirety π... I wouldnβt have minded to see the goriness of it π€·π»βοΈπ¬). HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! *I deducted 1/4 point for the lack of RH scenes when this is clearly an RH book... and, one of the Hs needed to pull his weight more...but I still cared for him lol. We need a character for comedic relief sometimes ππ¬and one that is on the sensitive side (cause Lips is too much of a bada$$ to be the sensitive one). I also wouldβve liked an epilogue. Maybe thatβs why I need to read all the other series then lol β οΈ safety squadβ οΈ -no cheating -no OW drama (there was the implication that there was going to be a cougar among the mix, but that was quickly dissolved...) -murder/bloody scenes (including another head)
.
I just can not get enough of this series. I love the family that has been created, all of the scars and tragedies make them perfect for each other.
WHAT AN ENDING!!
From the very first book, I was a goner. A goner for the story, the friendships, the bonds, the sacrifice, the heartache, the love, just everythingβ¦I was wholly consumed and I could not put this story down. Any time I had to, I was counting down the minutes until I could have it back in my hands whether it was audio or via ebook. J. Bree kept my heart rate through the roof with the intensity she brought with this story. Thereβs so many mysteries and layers and I was eager to unravel every single one even when I didnβt know what lay beneath. This series was enemies to lovers, RH, dark romanceβ¦all my Kindle crack wrapped in one. Ash, Harley and Blaiseβ¦oh my, these three all brought something incredible and unique to the table individually but the one thing about them they all had in common that made them truly undeniable was their heart. They would go toe to toe with whoever, whenever for each other, their girls and their family. I say girls because though Avery wasnβt a part of the harem, she was for sure an important part to the story. They got off to one heck of a rocky start but turns out Avery and Lips were two peas in a pod. I lived for their moments on the page together. It wasnβt even just the five that stole your heart but others like freaking Illi aka The Butcher and Odie, ugh I need more of them ASAP! I was also left desperately anxious for Averyβs own story which Iβm sure will be a banger. This series was one that didnβt just focus on just the romantic aspect but it explored the dynamics of friendship, sisterhood and found family and it was amazing. When I tell you there was never a dull moment. To have a four book series like this that never loses its momentum is not the easiest but J. Bree did spectacular. There was never a time I questioned a reason for multiple booksβ¦every letter, every word made sense. Honestly, I wouldβve taken more, truth be told I wanted more. I was legitimately sad to get to the acknowledgments because I just wanted to continue living in that world no matter how dark and messed up it could be because there unforgettable group of people who made it all worth it.
Good conclusion
This was a good conclusion to the series, all while leaving it open for spin offs and more. I think the ending had a bit too much thrown in but it was entertaining though. The writing was, of course, great.
I loved this series!
I absolutely adored Lips and her boys! Talk about some twists and turns throughout the whole series! I laughed, cried, and was just plain furious in all of these. Just how I love my books!
3.5 stars a bit too long
Toward the end my mind started wandering. The book felt too long and the fight scene was a bit anticlimactic. I wish there was some nefarious blindsiding going on. Unfortunately there isnβt much blindsiding going on. Most of what happens in the book is pretty straight forward and when something bad does eventually happen itβs wrapped up entirely too quickly for my taste. The author needs to work on the editing slightly more there are still several typos and missing small words that make a difference. Like me to my or my to me and then missing the word the or of etc. small things like that but the more they happen the more they detract from the story. Overall I did enjoy it, but I didnβt feel wrapped up enough to end there with Lipsβs harem. I kinda wanted a jump into the future with them or some of their povs during the book itself. Looks like the next book is just their povs from all these books but nothing new in terms of plot or anything. I totally plan on skimming it. I also may end up reading Averyβs story at some point. Hopefully after a break from this series though. I do like the guys but I wish we got some more involved badass scenes or seeing the guys absolutely flipping out without it being told but being live and in front of Lips. The show down with the Jackal was yawn. He was unhinged and a gangster but didnβt try to gut anyone close to her very much. Except peripheral people. Idk for a villain he was terrible but not that terrible on page. We were told all his crimes, but we never got to experience it happening to Lips, or even a flashback of how terrible he is. I think that would have helped build his character bc heβs a bit flat not well fleshed out. Why was he obsessed with Lips? Why pick her out? I know we donβt always get reasons but in books I do like some explanations.
The ending was cute?
For a book series that was brutal at times, the ending felt...off? It was a little too cute to fit with the rest of the story. We go straight from bloody massacre, to adorableness among siblings. It was a little disappointing. This book also felt less realistic than the previous ones in the series - like, why would a bunch of wealthy families leave their kids at a school that has obviously been taken over by crime lords?
I DIDN'T WANT IT TO END, EVER EVER EVER.
NO REALLY THOUGH, GUYS. I. Did. Not. Want. It. To. Ever. End. I actually stopped reading a quarter of the way in and cried to my mom and to my husband because of how my heart won't be able to take it ending. I have fallen, head over heels, for each and every character in this book. When it started, I thought "oh basically a typical Bully Romance (which I adore, ragardless)" but BOYYYY WAS I WRONG. When the tide turns, and Avery and Lips become best friends, it made my heart the happiest it's ever been. Fixing crowns all of 2020, instead of breaking them. I love it, I couldn't get enough. Their relationship probably excited me the most out of all of the,, even all of Starbright's guys. Though, let me tell you. WHOOOo I've never seen/imagined/loved/read about such sexy men. All of them. For their own reasons, in their own ways of course, but I ADORE THEM ALL. EVEN ILLI. Ugh Illi. I cannot wait for his book and I thank the gods every day that J Bree is giving us more of this world. I really was not ready to say goodbye. The blood diamonds for favors thing, I couldn't get over how BA that whole thing is. This world is uniquely it's own, there will never be anything that compares to this ever ever ever. And I love that fact, that it shocked me it the directions it went. Also how dark it got, with the parents, and Joey, and Joey senior. The things that go down, make me sick to my stomach. But the descriptions, and emotion J Bree wrenches out of you, is just. Ugh, chills. How much Lips has grown since book one is unbelievable. And you can see throughout, how Ash, Blaise, Harley, Avery, Illi, Doc, how they all heal her. You can see them holding her together and stitching her back up again. The character growth with them ALL, is so admirable and so real and relateable. JFC, I can go on and on y'all, really. Can't you tell? I'm effing gushing over here. Anyways, an all time favorite series. If my review doesn't do it, go look at all the others. J Bree is a mad, evil, perfect, amazing genius, her pen and words her weapon to my heart. I'll never get over these books. I'll always reread them. I'll always reread anything J Bree writes. Deserves a f ton more than 5 stars, more like a million and a half. But 5 if all I can give.
Literally the best Series
Literally just the best series. I don't know if I have words I have a lot of words but they will not do it justice. Fantastic end to the series but luckily it's not the end we get to see these characters again in a touring book and the university series thank goodness and then some spin-offs. That said this is a great way to end the Hannaford chapter. I love all the characters so much, the relationship, the dynamics, the chemistry. Lips, Avery and the guys love all of them. This is one of the most well-written books ever. I could read about these characters literally doing anything and I mean anything because of the way J Bree writes and the way that she established them. The chemistry is amazing the characters are so well-written they are the cool family that you want to be friends with and you want to go live in that world for a little bit. And it's a crazy world she created, it's great it's unlike anything else I mean its genre defineying. Take the world that she created and the story that she created, then you add the characters that she created, the relationships and the chemistry and how well-written it is and it makes for my just very favorite and just the most fantastic series. I can actually re read this over and over and enjoy it because I enjoy these characters so much. I want to go live in that world with them and get lost for a while. There's so much story and so much going on yet she takes time to have these moments and have all these other things going on... the little things.. the little extra details. It's just such an enjoyable read I will Ramble on and on if I don't stop myself but thank you to the author for creating this world and thank you to the author J Bree for continuing it because I don't know what I would do without these characters and this world for a little longer. I'm so happy we're getting more thank you for being so great to your readers who just fell in love with not only the story, not only the world, but with the characters and with your writing style and just thank you. J Bree is beyond a one-click author. I have KU but I'm buying all her stuff and I am getting a signed paperback because I am such a fan girl for this author.
love this series
I love the conclusion of this story and am excited to read more in this world. Lips is fierce and the boys show their worth.
HOLY MOTHER OF BOOK LOVERS!
I FREAKIN LOVE THIS SERIES! This is the perfect ending to the series. Lips, Harley, Blaise, Ash, Avery, Illi/Butcher and Odie. There are some new additions in this book and IT'S SO EXCITING!! I never wanted it to end. With all the suspense, mystery and intrigue at times I couldn't sit still. At times I was crying over Lips getting hurt and it's as if I could almost feel the emotions of the guys and Avery's fear over Lips getting hurt coming off the pages. The heat between Lips and the guys is so intense I thought my Kindle was gonna spontaneously combust. Lips spidey senses are so sharp and her bullsh*t meter is under n the red. Atticus is a puzzle to me I still can't figure him out. I don't know if I completely trust him or not. I think he means well but I also think he may have brought some of the trouble to fabulous five. The guys are such Hot alpha possessive men especially Ash he is definitely a dirty talkin bad boy. Wow! I'm in love. The Jackel has gone off the rails. He's just off the charts batsh*t crazy. The whole crew have to ride through hell to get to the other side. When surprises start showing up their doorstep no one expects things to turn out the way they do. There are so many twists and surprises it's shocking. This book was such a page turner for me the story was full of Oh Hell No and WTF Moments it so exciting. Lips and Avery are the twisted sisters. Lips has changed so much since book one. She's tough but vulnerable but still totally bad@ss. This book shows just how tough the guys really are and they would all die for each and every one of the family including Illi. At times my heart was breaking for Lips, she's so torn. I EXTREMELY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES TO EVERYONE!! I absolutely love the new additions. Poe had me cracking up, I loved her instantly. She quite the sassy little spitfire.
What a finale
And finally, we have everything tied together. Lemme tell ya, the action in this book did dangerous things to my blood pressure. The twist near the end was my favorite! My jaw literally dropped. In the first 3, I definitely felt a stronger pull to Harley (and would probably still pick him as my favorite, whoops), but I loved the ways that Ash and Blaise stepped up in this story. It was absolutely freaking jam-packed, and I loved every second!
Wow
I absolutely loved this series to pieces. I feel like it couldβve had a bit more spice but aside from that I loved it. I also wish we got a little bit more out of the ending but maybe weβll get another book with all the characters that J Bree writes about in this world and see their futures. Thatβd be awesome. I love Lips and her name. I love her men and Avery and how fierce the people she calls family are. This series was truly amazing and worth the ride. 100000/5
Read the beginning and end
This series drove me crazy throughout. The beginning and end made a complete book. The middle was kinda garbage and needed to be tossed out. The characters are also super annoying about 40% of the time. Avery constantly yells at Lips about being intimate when avery was the one insisting everyone share the same space. It is insufferable. Every time something happens everyone whines like children and makes it dramatic. This story needed to be flushed out more or written by someone else. They are killing high-school classmates for being mean to them and threatening everyone just because they can. Its not realistic. They even mention paying off the staff to make sure one of them gets good grades after making a point to talk about how hard everyone studies. Also at the end one of the new characters makes a comment that she works on cars with her dad...um the dad is supposed to be hated by everyone and watching his back to be murdered. This is a plot error. Everything about this series annoys me but at least the author dropped the Maserati from this book because they are not what rich people buy. Just save yourself some trouble and read the first 30 pages and the last 15.
Epic conclusion
Welcome to the wicked mind of J Bree and her diabolical story telling- hang on tight, it's gonna get crazy, bloody, and super steamy. J Bree is a consummate world builder- and the Hannaford world is one as sharp as it is welcoming, full of colorful characters with traumatic pasts, grey moral codes, and ever changing agendas. Lips, her men, and all of the fantastic secondary characters are captivating and magnetic. From the early bully push-pull all the way to the epic, heart stopping devotion that ensues, I could feel the chemistry down in my marrow. And what a heroine- there is no one like Lips- powerful, in control, totally alpha- the consummate survivor and the gritty warrior. Action is no-stop, twists and turns abound, darkness and danger permeate every page- a total page turner and a wild, addictive ride. But what I loved most was the LOVE- and not just the romance, but the familial love. The love and loyalty this make-shift crew has for each other - a love that supersedes the game, a love that overpowers and controls the game. There is now greater power- the friendships, the connections, the devotion this crew of misfits has for each other. I want to live in this world forever!
Amazing π€©
I love lips and her FAMILY.... It just keeps growing.... Girl is a frickin badie.... I just binged this series by j Bree in 2 days ... Could not put it down ... Can't wait to read all the spin offs.... Need me some morally grey badies getting HEA and all the spice...
βIβm not going to promise you anything, Iβm going to state a FACT.β
If you have not started this series yet, what are you waiting for?? You are seriously missing out!! That is a FACT. Seriously, you all need to start reading these books now. With the multitude of great bully romance series out there, this one will always remain at the very top for me (Ash and Harley wonβt accept anything but the best). The world of Hannaford Prep and Mounts Bay will consume you from the moment you turn that first page. I swear, I had never been so far out on the edge of my seat with excitement (and a tiny amount of dread) as I had been while reading through the entirety of this book. In a single night. No stops. No sleep. No regrets. This book was totally worth the wait!! And the End is every bit as satisfying and bloody (be still my beating dark heart ππ€) as I knew it would turn out to be, although I never imagined exactly where the journey would go to get there. J. Bree is such a fantastic storyteller, weaving tales, creating people and worlds that just seem so freaking real and relatable that I even cried for the bad guy. How crazy is that? Donβt stab me Mountys, Iβm definitely still so freaking happy with the End. And although this is the end of this part of Lipsβ, Avery, and the guysβ lives, Iβm sure this is not the last we will see of them. I cannot wait to see whatβs next in the world of Mounts Bay and I will be here stalking them all, to the very End.
If you want a strong FMC, this is the book to dig in
I found J Bree as an author for me last year when she published the first book in the series (Just Drop Out) and nobody knew her and her fans were just a couple of readers who accidentally found her book and read it. Now, she has a steady group of fans and admirers, me as well - I did not cheat and have bought each and every of her books in the series. What can I say about TTE? It is still surprisingly good, Lips and Aves are still my all-time favourite female heroines. Why you would ask? Oh... there are several reasons - first, they are intelligent and a bit of vicious, second, they do not whine, third, they fight till the end, fourth, they take what and whom they want, fifth, both of them were so strong that even violence towards them could be justified (please do not think that I approve violence, but this is the closest to the "ideal" bully book where you do not pity the girl, you say her "go,go, girl! You are perfect, please proceed!!!!"). The female heroines made me love the whole series even despite it being RH. There are very few RH books I enjoy (Void is one of them), but this series demonstrated me that I should try RH sometime, that I do not have to give up on genre for good. Thanks, J Bree, please do not lose your quality! Awaiting for new books to arrive.
An incredible end
This series has been alluring and attention capturing from the moment I started it. The final book in Lipsβ series was no different. I couldnβt put this book down! In To The End, J Bree has done an incredible job of wrapping up the story between The Wolf and The Jackal and building on what Lips, The guys, Avery and their family have. I fell deeper in love with Ash, Harley and Blaise and especially with Avery (I canβt wait for when we can read her story)! The relationships these characters have will hook you in and make you want more, not only the male relationships, but the female relationships will too. Lips and Averyβs relationship has been amazing to read. We all need a girlfriend we can trust with no hesitation, lean on and know will be there to support with no questions asked, and it was incredible to read how they were that for each other. I couldnβt put this book down! As much as Iβm sad this series has come to an end, I canβt wait to see where J Bree takes us with the Butcher of the Bay saga and all that she has planned. If youβve not picked this series up, read it now and youβll be hooked. You wonβt regret reading these books and getting to know these characters and falling in love with them.
felt a bit rushed but still greatly entertaining
I have enjoyed this world so much. Aves and Lips will be one of my unforgettable female leads for a long time! I want to go and read Avesβ series now but I have heard some concerning things about that :(
More than 5 stars!!!
OH MY GOSH. This book!!!! We ended on a major cliffhanger in the third book and To The End dives right into it. Someone is stalking Lips and leaving heads at her door. (Yes, literal heads) although they seem to be more of an avenging Angel of hers rather than a threat. The Jackal is still a major issue to be dealt with, and heβs gone fully off the rails. It will take everything Lips and her found family have to take him down. Not only is the threat of the jackal hanging over their heads, but Joseph Beaumont Sr. as well. I LOVED watching them calculate, and take down their enemies. Their relationship is so strong and is so fun to see it grow. Avery and Lipsβ friendship is still my favorite thing and it only gets better in To The End. If you havenβt read this series, what are you waiting for?!?
Brilliant!
To the End was such an incredible journey! It was jam packed with action and adventure, suspense, mystery, intrigue, and romance(the erotic kind, of course). J. Bree delivers a really amazing story, told at a captivating pace and filled with everything a great story needs to keep you turning the pages and wanting more. At the start of their last year at Hannaford Prep, Lips, Avery, and the boys find themselves facing multiple threats. The Jackal is obsessed with the Wolf and wages war on the Twelve. Senior continues in his obsession to break Ash and Avery. The Devil, aka Morningstar, has been called in to go after the Wolf and her family. And thereβs someone leaving Lips special deliveries. The way J. Bree weaves this masterpiece of a story is truly astonishing. There are so many characters and so many moving parts to this story that Iβm impressed with how well she was able to keep everything together. Iβm saddened that this is the last book of this particular series but hope that J. Bree will bring these characters back in a continuation series or find ways infuse them into new series that hopefully take place in the same world. Iβm not ready to say goodbye to any of them.
Loved it.
I absolutely loved this series but I had two major problems. 1. It was all just a little too unbelievable that the MCs are in high school. Thankfully itβs not mentioned much and I could pretend they were older. 2. Avery and the guys never apologize or make any kind of amends for their bullying. Thatβs the most annoying thing about bully RH, is that the FMC never gets any form of apology. In this book, the bullies just change their minds and Lips just goes with it. It was frustrating. I would still highly recommend. The story was compelling and the author has a gift for writing.
The best ending to the best series! READ THIS AND FALL IN MORE LOVE!
This book. Wow. I highly recommend this series as I think it became my new favorite...ever. Lips continues her path of keeping her family safe at all cost. We see the good the bad and the ugly. This is what family means. Maybe theyβre not related by blood but that makes them stronger and tougher. They chose each other. Lipsβ journey starts as she enters in her last year of Hannaford Prep and she knows already itβs going to be tumultuous. With the jackal at her feet senior out for blood the OβCronins wanting something for their loss and the unsureness of them 12 makes for an epic book. We see Avery evolve more show more emotions and a side we havenβt seen yet. Harley continues to push what a boyfriend materjal should be always being so caring and thoughtful. Blaise is doing his best in a world he is so not familiar with. And lastly, ash. He finally gets an idea of what he wants for his life and pursues it whatever it is to keep his family safe. Illi is amazing and we get a few new characters who only add to this epic showdown.
Decent read
This was an interesting read. I was enthusiastic until too many side plots came about. It took a great deal of concentration to get to the end. I felt like it dragged trying to finish all the holes. Was very clinatic but im happy it was a hea ending. Only 3 stars because not only did it drag but also the over exaggeration of being "morbid, morose" and all things that had to accompanied with the f word. Also the concept is very unrealistic i had to remind myself to read the book like its a dsytopia or like a comic book.
Iβd give this series 10 stars if I could
What a big surprise! I honestly didnβ t see this coming. I devoured all four books in no time. I usually tend get bored at some point and sometimes I just donβt bother to finish the series, but not in this case. It just kept getting better and better. I loved the first book. There βs no other character like Lips. Take my word for it; I read more than 200 books a year. Sheβs fierce, damaged, capable and no stranger to blood and killing, but also lovable, caring and loyal teenager. All the other characters are their own personalities with their own issues. Loved them! Avery, stunning evil dictator, especially. In book two and three relationships between Lips and his harem of boys became more intense, but romance was still a bit lame. Hit the fourth book and my favourite, and itβs ON. It was hot, hot, hot. Donβt get me wrong, this book is so much more than feels and hot scenes, but for that other stuff, you better read the book ( better yet, books). I dare you.
I knew it!!!
I had a gut feeling who the big reveal was going to be and I was sooo right. All my questions got answered. It was so great to see the justice being served to the main two problems finally. This series was so excellent and I have never read through anything faster than these books.
What a series!!!
This was one heck of a crazy ride and I loved every word of it. This author didn't hold back from anything in this book from the drama to the twists and turns you don't see coming to the love the characters have for each other. I did not see some if the things that happe ed coming and once they came out I was lost for words over it. The end of this book was perfect and I can't wait to read more from this world. A definite must read author for me going forward!!!!
Yep, unexpected
Totally hooked on this series from book one, I was all in to know how book four played out. Wow, what a final twist that you definitely didnβt see coming. The definition of the word family comes to life in this fourth book, and you find yourself so intrigued you want them to be your own family.
Great End to the Four
Great and satisfying ending. Canβt wait to read the other characters stories. Wonder if our main characters will still be main, or be from some other persons perspective.
Absolutely a great book BUT...
I absolutely enjoyed the series and this book, BUT while there were some minor editing errors in all of them, this last one needs a SERIOUS re-edit. Don't mistake me my fellow readers, you will still love this culmination of the series - it's just that you'll be conscious of the little hiccups as they occur.
love it
This series ended on a high note, but I still want more of Lips and her boys. The Hannaford world is one of my favorites and is a regular reread.
Pure Fire π₯π₯π₯π―π―π―
Just when you think you know what's goimg on BAM nope J Bree knocks you on your a$s again. I have been obsessed with this whole series. Sex danger murder and even some laughs this series has it all and is a must read.
Favorite. Series. EVER!!!
J Bree hooked me from the very first page of book 1. And honestly, I took days to read this book because I literally did not want it to end. Since Christmas, I've read books 1-3 more than 3 times while waiting for this book, #4, to come out. All while suffering the worst book hangover ever. Lips is the best FMC. She showed herself first as the toughest harda$$ teenage girl who lived through some seriously messed up trauma. But what I loved seeing grow, was her selflessness and Love for her self made family. All while remaining extremely bad a$$, of course. The guys **sigh** I love them all. I love how each one is a little different for her. J Bree has some seriously amazing character building. Love them, hate them... there is a story around each one and I for one am looking forward to the next series. #Mountyforlife
uhm yes please
This book was amazing. It rounded off this series nicely, and had a bunch of great characters introduced. The Wolf and her family definitely have a lot of healing left to do, but cleared the way so they can take their time to do so.
Senior Year
The Jackal has lost his damned mind. Senior even brings the Devil to Mounts Bay. Everything has gone to hell in a hand basket. The planner is so full it's a damn white board now. Lips, the guys and Avery have their hands full staying alive and graduating. I said it before. I can't get enough of this series . This is my 4th read through and I am finally feeling a bit sated. Enough that after I read Avery's first 2 books (for the second time) I can hold off a reread for the 5th time until July when Avery's 3rd book comes out.
Anti climatic tbh
It wasnβt a bad ending. It was anti climatic bc of the showdown with the Jackal. I thought thereβd be more. Maybe weβd even get a perspective on him and his backstory. Nothing. Also, some I HATE that the author did was extend the story. So thereβs a story for Avery and as much as I love her, I will not be reading it as I do not read spin offs. I guess I just canβt deal with our once main character being a side character. I did love meeting Nate and Poe tho. Wish we saw more of them before the series ended
Great series!
I love this world J Bree has created. It is so unpredictable and has just the right level of crazy and sultry. Each character is unique and I would be happy reading a full book on any of the secondary characters and I know the author has plans to do just that. I live when a book throws me a curve I did not see coming. The only issue I had is sometimes characters were popping up I could not remember, but that is in part my fault since I did not do a reread before this release. If you have read the rest in this series, you have to read this book. It might not tie up all the loose ends, but more books are coming in this world and there is no cliffhanger really. Love Lips and her crazy guys!
Can't Wait to See What's Next!
It's hard to believe that this is ONLY the 4th book J. Bree has written. Her ability to bring a reader into the is unsurpassed, and the emotions evoked in the characters behalf unparalleled. We finish Lips' story with messy justice and more love then ever before. The girl who only ever had one person to "care" for her now has a whole family of her choice. Blaise, Ash, and Harley continue to be the most amazing men ever. Avery is the most dedicated friend ever. I hope that we continue to get many books from Mounts Bay and all of the characters that we have met from book one to book four. Breed's career has only just started as an author, but I predict it is going to be a fulfilling one!
Welcome to the end or is it?
Damn it !! I ugly cried and my husband walked in at the middle of said ugly cry and laughed and walked back out....but J Bree Author you did once again!! Iβm so thankful I ran across JDO that one faithful night. Lips, Avery, Illi, Harley (most definitely Harley the golden god jail rape), Ash, and Blaise will carry a special place in my heart. The sleepless nights were definitely worth it, the writing is so well done it is like a movie playing in my head. And I cannot wait for what you have in store for us with future projects. PS: If you enjoy her books and aren't on her Facebook page what are you waiting for?!?! Head on over to Breezie's Wolves and join us.
4.5 stars
Loved this series. Longer review written for the omnibus. 4.5 stars for this book because the ending felt rushed. Still a great ending to the series.
π«β₯οΈ
This is not at all what I expected from a RH, but the story line was so damn good. It wasnβt as steamy as I have read, but when it was, it WAS. Iβm so sad itβs over but glad I finally made the plunge!
What a ride!
I was completely engrossed in this world! The characters seemed to have that balance of very strong and ruthless but also carried so much heart and feeling. I was sad that this story has come to an end, but I'm very much looking forward to reading Avery's story next! Harley, Ash, and Blaise were such a great combination of personalities that all seemed to fit together perfectly! I truly loved this series and can't wait to read more in this world!
Great story line
I always wait until I read the whole series before reviewing. I loved this series. It was a fresh take on the whole academy, reverse harem, enemies to lovers genre and truly enjoyed reading it. I am said it's done. I would love to see a new series about Lips and how the 12 move on. That is really all I was missing. I was happy and loved seeing her find family, but was left wanting to know how the 12 came out and what happens with all those changes. Not to mention more of Avery and her men. Um yes. Lol. Great job. A true enjoyment of your series. Keep it up
I NEVER WANT IT TO END
This series has been my favorite for a while and getting to the final book for a while is hard! I love how everything comes together and the twists at the end!!! I love how it ends and how open ended it is. I can't wait for more from this world and I need more Lips in the future! J Bree does it again with her amazing story and leaves me satisfied but wanting more always!
Best series that I've read in a long time
I absolutely loved this series and I am said that it ended. The romance parts were so good, that I didn't want them to end. The next thing I know, we jump right into action and my emotions pick up again. Highly recommended. Only down fall, it was hard to see from a "high school" experience. I related in my mind to the characters being old. I am easy to do.
Wrecked in the best way possible!!
I have been in love with this series since the first book. Each one has been better than the last if thatβs even possible. This was the final book in the series and everything came together perfectly. I wish this wasnβt the last book, I want so much more from Lips and her men. I loved their family dynamics. Hoo boy did we get some steamy scenes in this book. This book will make you laugh and cry big fat ugly tears. Itβs so amazing. J Breeβs writing is phenomenal. I canβt wait to read what she has in store for us and hope we get so much more from her.
Great Series!
This has been such an interesting ride. I hate to see it end, and will miss these characters. The blending of high school, gangs, mobsters and MCβs is seamless. Lots of intrigue, lots of actin and lots of hot sex. Definitely read this series!
Happy sigh
Amazing as always!!! Can I also just point out, even some of my favorite authors let the romance and sexy parts fizzle out in the last book of the series. It's more eluded to than descriptive like in the others....but not with J Bree which is why I love here even more now than I did with Year One β€β€β€ the story, the character dynamics and chemistry, the plot, everything stayed at 100% right to the every end. Love love love these books. I read them on KindleU first but then I bought all of them because I know I'll be wanting to reread them forever.
Loved it
Wow. A whole lot happened in this book and I have a feeling a new series just rolled out with some of those revelations too. Great series.
I only wish...
I only wish I had heard of this author way before now. I have read all four novels back to back and OMG....it is such a fantastically great series. Everything about this series is on point...its a bully RH romance with a heroine that is so unbelievably kick ass. Each player (the boys) are fantastically individual but all together makes the romance all so great. A dynamic storyline, with an amazing BFF, exceptional friends and devilish enemies, makes this the series to read! Great job Ms Bree (I'm so proud to read a fellow Aussies work).
An epic conclusion.
The Wolf and her family are done sitting back, and now they are ready hunt anyone standing against them. This book is INCREDIBLE. I cannot believe how obsessed with this series I am. The amount of times I reread this has become too hard to keep up with. The steam? 10000/10. The story line? Incomparable. The character development? INSANELY GOOD. Iβm so happy this word exists.
Intriguing until the very end
I'm so happy with how this ended. The relationship development between Lips and the guys was fun to see unfold. The revenge, intrigue and gore were all here in this book. I loved every second.
Sad,weak main character
The story is great , don't get me wrong . but the main Character Is weak, For a character that is supposed to be ahead of a major crime organization regardless of having a gang under her, For what she had to go through to get to where she is the story does not fit Her actions during the book. I expected her to be complete and total badass, When in fact she's more of a teenage wuss Then Or crime lord.
Fantastic!!
This final book was fantastic! Definitely 5 stars!! This is probably one of the best series Iβve ever read. There are so many feels in this book that my heart was going crazy trying to figure out what was going to happen next. The final book wraps up the Wolf and the Jackal storyline and I am only more in love with their little family! The only bummer was there was no epilogue, which I love at the end of any book, BUT at least we get the Butcher series next!
loved it!
Excellent series and Iβm hoping thereβs a series about Poe. Avery as well. Give this series a shot it had everything I love to read about.
What an ending!!!
This series blew me away! Just when you think you have it figured out, BAM!!! Another twist! Definitely one of my top 5 series Iβve ever read!!!
Not ready!!!
So not ready for this to be the end of lips and her boys. I am in awe of this world that j bree has giving us. To the end was beautifully written so many answers where giving. It left no questions except whats going to top this series? Lips and avery girlmance is everything. And omg ash and blaise stepped up so much in this book. All in all if i keep going ill spoil something and i dont want that go read this book read this series !!!
So good
The battle of all battles comes to an end. I love that we get a wrap up of all the important detail. This is definitely a series on my reread list.
Wow! Just...Wow!?!
This last book just, wow. I was gripping the edge of my seat as I read it. You knew it all had to come to a point but dang did J Bree not disappoint. It was such a great finish to this series and I can not wait to find out more on the group. Especially with Avery! She was just awesome through the whole series and I canβt wait to know what happens in her life.
Best series ever!
This series is incredible! It is different then most bully books I have read and evolves from bully. Lips and her guys are amazing! I love Avery too! This series is such a ride and leaves you wanting more after it is done. I highly recommend this series!
Disappointed
I expected more when they confronted Matteo and Senior. It just fell very flat. After reading the first three books and finally getting to where everything blows up..... You EXPECT it to be Kicka$$. This was NOT that. This book ended up dying the whole series.
My top favorite series
This has been and always will be in my top favorite series. This final book did not feel rushed, wasnβt the perfect happy ending, but also was. Youβll understand when you finish reading. My questions were answered, and I felt like it was all laid out perfectly. I am really hoping for a series from Poeβs side of the story. She would be awesome to read about! I give this a 5 star and itβs well deserved. Highly recommend.
What an Ending
So many things get wrapped up in this book and the resolution left me feeling mostly peace, and with enough lingering questions that I'm excited to dive head first into the rest of Mounts Bay!
Sweet merciful lord.
This book. THIS SERIES. I can't. Phenomenal doesn't even cover how I feel about this whole series. The perfect amount of steam. The perfect amount of friendship. The PERFECT amount of psycho and stab-y.... everything. Perfect! I cannot wait to read more of this world in The Butcher of the Bay. I wouldn't be super upset if more storylines from lips and her boys and Avery and Atticus and Poe... and even Nate happened... π€·βοΈππ
What a conclusion
Im sad to see lips and her boys end but im hoping they may have some cameos in illis story. This series will tear your heart out keep you on the edge of your seat and smack you silly but its totally worth it. The romance, angst, steamy scenes not to mention the suspense, and murder makes this the most addicting series ive ever read. Bravo j. Bree 5 stars if i could give more i would
Spectacular series!! Must read
ome of my all time favorite series, this book is everything. Thereβs still some unfinished answers and I canβt wait for more upcoming books and find all about what happened in the ending. Im not ready to say goodbye to Lips and the guys, Iβm glad the author is going to write more about them. Itβs definitely sexier and hotter than the previous books and the sex scene are π₯π₯. Harley will always be my baby β€οΈ
Love
This was such a good book. I absolutely loved it. The characters are so awesome. I really need more of them!
Wow
I don't think I've ever read a dark reverse harem romance that was so light hearted, fun, and inspired loyalty as much as this series. I was drawn in at the beginning and absolutely loved them all!
JOEY IS DEAD
I have loved every single moment of this book from the 1st chapter of the 1st book series!!!. I will not tell you it's all heart an rainbows but this book an all the other ones up to this one is worth your time. If you want to escape real life **** right not start from book one an hold on. Your gonna need a glass of wine π
Forget stars, this is getting all the diamonds.
Well, now that it's wrapped up like certain boxes on doorsteps, it's official - best series ever. Hands down - erm - heads down? This was the perfect ending-that-isn't-an-ending to The Wolf of Mount's Bay's Hannaford Prep journey, and how JBree managed to introduce new characters that are every bit as incredible as our existing ride or dies is beyond me. Cannot wait for the continuation in the Butcher's books!
Great ending!!
Great ending to the series. A lot happens and it happens pretty quick at the end. Surprised about some things so I enjoyed this read!
The perfect end to the greatest series!
This entire series goes down in Epic history. J Bree gave us a fresh and exciting new take to bully romances! Lips is and always will be one of my top favorite Bada***** of all time. Itβs the perfect end to their story and leaves the possibility open for the beginning of a new generation. Amazingly written and the execution of the story line has me reeling. Highly recommended!
Good
This books just wraps up the drama from the earlier books. Myself, I liked her earlier books in this series best.
Loved it
We finally have the conclusion to the wolfs story. But the author left it open, and I hope we get averys story. While it was a satisfying end, I still didn't want to leave the Wolfpack behind.
Pretty good ending!
I really liked this book but there is so much I still dont know and i want more. I need more Luca and i need to know what's up with Avery. Ugh just give me more!
Moves and Counter-moves
Can I just say that I am SO FLIPPING HAPPY there will be a spin-off!! But holy crap this last one was a rollercoaster of emotions and I honestly wouldnβt have it any other way. Avery is definitely going to take over the world. Lips is the ultimate HBIC. And Atticus is a dumb*ss. I donβt want these books to end.
Excellent entertainment!
A truly badass main character, slow build story that is well written and a great use of a few days worth of reads!
Bless your soul
So many ups and downs twists and turns. The emotions are running high and there is no way I could put it down once I started. It was a great end to the series and Iβm looking forward to more books in the mounts bay world!
Wow...
So disappointing. The terrible freaking editing drove me absolutely insane. The only reason I didn't give up on this is because I was too invested. The inner monologue was cringey at best. I really wish I would have noted how many times the word "snarking" was used. I'm sure it was an obscene amount. The ending was boring...I skimmed through the last few pages. Meh. I gave it 3 stars because I really liked the second half of book 1...and books 2 and 3. Overall, it's an okay series if you can push through the horrifying editing mistakes.
A MUST READ!!!!
OMG!!!!!! Never have I ever had a series hold my attention and make me wanna re-read all over again right away! This book was exactly what I needed! I love how Lips and her crew take care of business both in and outside of their crew. Get ready for a wild ride and trust me you wonβt be disappointed!
I LOVED THIS BOOK
SPOILER ALERT I loved this book but we deserved to know what happened to Avery when she was with the Jackel. Overall super good series!!!
This was AWESOME!!!!
I truly, truly thought this series was AWESOME!!!!!! Lips was the ultimate badass chick, very, very strange friends with very strange hobbies & the most unusual toys they like to play with & 3 super hot, super talented, (in many ways), guys, & her ice queen bestie. Such an abso-blooming-lutely, fan-frigging-tastic series
Awesome
I loved this whole series. This book wasn't so much at the school and it showed a lot more into the criminal side of it all. It was a good change. I will say I feel bad for Blaise, he is left out a lot. But I'm firmly team Harley.
Best Series Ever!
This entire series did not disappoint!! I love the character development and storyline of these books. J Bree is an absolute genius and has many books in the works to follow from this series which is fantastic because you never want this series to end. It should really be made into a tv series or movie!
Here piggy piggy
Bye Jackal. Hope you enjoyed your life cause the Wolf is done playing the Game. She will win and you will die. Illi, Lips, Avery, Ash, Harley, and Blaise are ready to destroy the people that have hurt them for years. Sad that this story is ending π
Loved it!!!
Oh my god this was the perfect ending of this little familyβs adventure! I loved every second of this book and I canβt wait to read more. I love the New relationships and Iβm hoping for Avery to get her own little harem in the future. Fantastic writing and story building!!
what a ride!
This whole series has brought a love a book series that I havent had in a LONG time! This final book is everything I could have wanted for a completion. Congrats J Bree on blowing my mind and bringing the Wolf to life and helping us all fall in love with her family.
Perfect
This book is beyond what I even thought it was going to be. The twist and turns. The shock factor. The love story. The best friends. Just everything you could want in a book and then more. J Bree knows how to write a book and she does it damn good!
Epic conclusion
The epic conclusion of Lips and her boys, is fantastic! The writing is amazing and keeps you on your toes until the last page
Amazing once again
Loved this book the whole series has all that you can ask for a badass FMC a gorgeous group of boys and an amazing bestie β€οΈ I wish I could give it 100 stars and I canβt wait to find out more about the Wolf of Mounts bay
AMAZING
Just when I thought I couldnβt something more fall in love with each character something more happens! Iβm so obsessed with this series and it will definitely be one I read multiple times! J Bree is amazing!!!! I canβt wait to read more of what she releases.

Hands down, favorite series!!
Amazing series! Lips is a badass. And also J Bree for creating these kick-ass reads! Whenever I fall in to a rut where I can't find something new to read, I just re-read these books. Currently working on MYM for the 6th time!! Still love it!!
Omg!!π€π€π€
I have loved this series from the start! I loved the ups and downs and loved how it all just came together in this book! All I can say is Family!!! Thank you j bree this was a great series can wait for the butcher's series
If you haven't read this series, you need to!
Omg! Loved this book so much! The whole series is amazing and so worth it! Always sad to say goodbye to characters you love but I know I will reread it many more times in the future and look forward to other J Bree's books!
Amazing!
I canβt believe how it ended and left me wanting so much more. This was a perfect closure to the torment Lips suffered from The Jackel and Senior. This book was amazing. I LOVE J Bree for writing it and the entire Hannaford series!
So Sad Its Over!
What a jouRney this series has been. Pure excitement from the very beginning to the very end! Not one boring part in any of the books! So much drama and action and love and hate and mystery and blood! I want more!
I love this story!
You will feel something (hatred, love, adoration) for every single character. The twists that are finally revealed, the epic way to get through the storyline. The development of it all - simply fantastic! One story that I will be reading again and again.
This series...
So many plot twists throughout the series, so much development of the characters. All kinds of feels are wrapped up and waiting for you, but the ending OMG I'm in love with Morningstar. Honestly one of my top favorite series in awhile.
Amazing way to end the series
What a way to end the series!! I loved every single one of the books in this series, but this one was my favorite. I loved how in this one they were more of a unit working together towards their end game.
actually crying
how is this the end? i feel lost now ..... i need avery to have her own book. i honestly wish i could go backin time and restart it because i just loved it so much. everything about it.
Worth the wait
Thank you J bree. You wrapped up this series beautifully but with enough question marks that make me super excited for Avery's book. This series is on my all time favourites list and will be reread over and over again.
Absolutely amazing!
This book was everything and more then I could ever hope for! Lips is still a badass bitch and I love how her little family is growing and I canβt wait to see what J. Bree has up her sleeve next!
Amazing!!!
All I have to say is read this series you won't be disappointed! What a great conclusion to their High School years. Cannot wait to read what else J Bree has in store for us with all these characters.
Re-read
Great book with a happy ending for lips. Even better second time reading and can't wait for other stories to find out what happens to avery.
THE BEST SERIES EVER!
J. Bree you have given life to my reading obsession! I was hooked from the very first page and COULD. NOT. WAIT. to get my hands on this book! It was absolutely worth it to the very end!
If you like dark bad ass heroines and loyal hunky boyfriends read this series
The entire series did not disappoint. This is not your typical RH, poor girl meets rich boys who save her. It is gritty and angsty and bloody with twists and turns throughout. Definitely want more stories and character POV.
To the end
I didnβt want it to end, but I loved it and canβt wait for the spin off book! I will read it in a day! Like I did each book in this series!!!!

Amazing!
Another incredible book in this series. So sad that's over..
Love the Series!
Great book to finish the series.
great series!
I got KU like a month and a half ago and have been religiously reading book series like Hannaford Prep. When I say religiously, I mean like 60ish books in that time. I will say without a doubt that this series has been my favorite. So much so I finished all 5 books in two days. The story line kept me captivated. I loved the buildup of their relationships- it literally took a whole book for Avery to even become Lipsβ friend and multiple books before the guys took their relationship with her to the next level. Most of the time everything happens so fast itβs unrealistic. The guys were all perfect and balanced. I also loved Lips, which is pretty much a first for me. Almost every series with a strong and BA female main characterβ¦ I hate her. The author always makes her ridiculously strong-willed to the point where she doesnβt listen to anyone and it almost gets everyone killed. Every. Single. Time. And almost every single series. Not Lips. Even with all her crazy baggage, she grew and was trusting. It was refreshing. I canβt wait to move on to the other stories by J. Bree because I saw some of the characters from the Hannaford Prep series mentioned in them. I canβt get enough!
So sad it's over!
To the End is the fourth and final installment in the Hannaford Prep series by J. Bree. This addictive series is brimming with actin, danger, mystery, suspense, and scorching chemistry. I read this entire series within days and have already purchased Averyβs books! Eclipse βLipsβ Anderson and her chosen family are in their senior year at Hannaford Preparatory Academy. She has her ride-or-die bestie; Avery, and her three dangerous boyfriends; Harley, Ash, and Blaise. The danger and suspense is ramped up in this final book and there were so many twists and turns. Who is taking out the people that have wronged Lips and delivering their heads on her doorstep? Who can they trust with the Jackal recruiting double agents that are all out for blood? Will they all get out unscathed or even alive? The spicy scenes were swoon-worthy, albeit somewhat unrealistic. It was interesting to learn who was watching out for Lips and why. I did think the book ended abruptly after the introduction of new characters but Iβm hopeful the author plans to write their stories in future installments. Iβd love to follow the stories of Lips new friends and family. Tropes: Dark romance, academy romance, enemies-to-lovers, Heat: 5/5 TW: Descriptive violence, death, grief, drug use, alcohol use, gangs
weakest link of a fun silly series
I genuinely enjoyed the first three books of this series a lot. They obviously require a HEAVY suspension of disbelief (a 13 year old winning some kind of battle royale and then undergoing naval torture training and also being a genius but also a naive virgin? yeah sure why not) but theyβre fun and fast-paced and the slow-burn romance is satisfying to watch unfold. This entry, by contrast, is by FAR the weakest. The thin veneer of plausibility that kept the other three together has vanished entirely in this one. Like a lot of other reviewers said, the high school plot lines pretty much vanish entirely and so youβre left with a bunch of teenagers navigating this high-octane and completely labyrinthine world of flashy gang violence that J Bree is kind of just making up as she goes along. I have two main complaints about the whole thing that I think are illustrative of the flaws of this final entry: 1) The pacing is WAY off. I think itβs fun and exciting to have moments of intense peril along the way to the final denouement but in this one it felt like every five pages was some new world-ending crisis that dialed everyoneβs emotions up to 15. It just gets exhausting after a while!! And everyone is so keyed up all the time that their interpersonal relationships donβt get a lot of development or care. Weβre told that the boys all love Lips, but 80% of the novel is one of them being furious at her and not speaking to her or vice versa, until some crisis brings them all together again. Itβs exhausting! 2) I really loved the promise of Lips having three devoted boyfriends who also are best friends with each other. She deserves it and she deserves all the fun sexy times as a result. But I genuinely was shocked that there was never a moment when all three of them went to town on her. In fact there were hardly any occasions when all three of them were even in the same room as her! It was weird! After a while it started to feel intentional and I really donβt get why! A lot of other people have noted that poor Blaise really gets neglected here and I have to agree - Lips is totally happy to enjoy Ash and Harley together but Blaise is never around (heβs always drunk and high, which is another issue entirely). Also, Iβm sorry, but are you trying to convince me that three boys who have no issues sharing one girl, and even having sex with her at the same time, arenβt even a LITTLE into each other as well? As a member of the π community myself I simply cannot get behind the extreme levels of no-homo denial happening here. Let them love each other! It doesnβt have to make them any less macho!!
Fantastic Ending!
I seriously LOVED this entire series! It had everything! I highly recommend it if you love enemies to lovers, gangster, MC, bully, prep academy, RH, and a strong kick @ $ $ heroine that will go the distance for her family!!
Not, exactly, my taste but...
I started this series after J. Bree did a take over on another author's FB page (or maybe she took over J Bree's, can't quite remember. I typically enjoy YA/NA enemies-to-lovers reverse harem novels. This, however, was definitely not what I'd consider typical of the genre. It started off with the first book, Just Drop Out, as being pretty much what you'd expect of the genre. But, as the story progressed through the four novels of the series, it became more and more difficult for me to suspend disbelief with the often overdramatic estimations and exaggerated degrees of bedlam. For example, in the first novel Lips admits to doing jobs for various crime lords that involved stealing, spying and such. She may have hinted at taking out an enemy, but if she did, it didn't make an impression on me enough to remember. However, by the time we get to the third book, she's a 17-year-old assassin with "hundreds" of kills under her belt. There are hundreds of dead bodies lying around in various places (in different scenes), she's often covered in gore from her kills, and all of her underage crew have blood on their hands from previous experiences. She's a murderous psychopath that just so happened to fall in with a crowd of equally murderous psychopaths? I guess this is a case of like attracting like (in the extreme). The story is filled with impossibilities, like when her obsessed, abusive sponsor shattered her leg "with his bare hands." Equally as amazing, she breaks bones with her bare hands too. And, let's not forget that EVERYONE is a millionaire/billionaire. Then, there are the questions that are posed and situations set up that are never resolved. It was all just a little too much for me. I mean, come on! There had to be at least a few cops actually doing their jobs. And, if all the faculty at the school are bought (and on your side) why even bother with classwork work and finals? With so many negatives, you may wonder why I am giving this 5 stars. Well, the writing is really good. She has a great imagination and a good grip on imagery. Other than the improbabilities/impossibilities, I only got kicked out of the story by a few typos, so bonus points on decent editing. Bree developed well-rounded characters that were quirky, charming, funny, lovable (at times), infuriating, and/or quite psychotic. And the sexy-times were HOT. The overarching story was a bit too much (gore and twisted sh!t), but then, I'm not really a fan of mobster/ Mafia/gangster tropes. Overall, I did enjoy the books and read them back to back over the course of three days. If you like dark and twisted and don't mind slightly unrealistic storylines, you'll probably really enjoy this series too.
What an ending
Senior year and the threat of survival is real. Lips and her men along with Avery are just wanting to finish high-school. This series was amazing but this last book was perfect as it closed everything up but left it open for future books in the bay. I can't wait to read more from Mounts Bay.
Mounts for life!
What an amazing ending for Lips and her crew! I canβt wait to dive deeper into the Bay with Avery and I sure as hell canβt wait for Nateβs story π₯°
YASSSS ππΌπΊ
Where to beginβ¦ Joey is gone but now they have to worry about what senior will do in retaliation to this. The heads are still coming and they finally figured out who was sending then and you never will guess who it is! The relationship between lips and her men continue to grow and get more spicyπ₯΅ I love them all so much! Avery is seriously amazing and keeps everyone in line as well as plans for almost anything. The jackal teams up with senior to get rid of all of them that end in nothing but a crap ton of bloodshed. Lips proves to everyone why she is the wolf of mounts bay and why NOBODY should mess with the wolf or anyone she cares about!! And then everything that comes to light at the hospital π±π± . I love this series so much and canβt wait for all the other books to come in the mounts bay saga!!!
Hannaford will never be the same!
The last book in Hannaford and Lips and the gang fight the most important battle they have been battling against the last couple of years. I am sad to see the this chapter end for them. It was a great ride at Hannaford and to see the development of Lips find herself a family she has never had. Ash, Harley and Blaise love Lips to the end and will burn the world down for her and for Avery. I constantly re read this entire series and it gets better each and every time! You won't be disappointed!
Amazing Ending to an Amazing Series
This book was probably my favorite one of the series. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the book, I about had a heart attack near the end. It's a super steamy read and I love each of Lips' relationship with her guys. You end up so invested in all of the side characters (which is great since there are a few spin-offs already). This story and world is amazing. It's really hard to put into words how much I love this series. One of my favorite Dark RH series of all times!
Loved it
So the heat in this book definitely ramps up compared to the others - it was smoking. I liked seeing the family really come together. I had pretty much figured out the twists before they were revealed, but I did love them. Iβm glad to see that we will continue to see these characters in Averyβs series, although I will miss spending time with Lips and her guys. I kind of hope that we get Morningstar and Poeβs stories too. Also Illi and Odie are awesome and Iβm definitely going to go check out their books too!
Great series
This is the first time I have read from this author and will definitely do it again. This is one of the best series I have read.
Best series every!! It can never end ππ
This is literally my favorite RH Bully of ALL TIME! This ending was AMAZING!! The drama and suspense in this book did not disappoint at all! The twists and turns and OMG THE NEW ADDITIONS YAAAASSSSSS!! I love who youβll meet in this book so much!! I donβt want to give away any spoiler but N and P are so family π€π€.. I canβt even say enough amazing things about this entire series. Between the guys, Lips, Avery, illi and odie and the rest of the fam.. I never wanna leave Mounts Bay. Low key hoping she forever writes in this world ππππ½
I would read a textbook if J Bree wrote it
OMG I have a problem, I am seriously addicted to this series and everything that J Bree writes. If you want action, gore, humor, and ride or die relationships you need this book! I love Lips, she is such a bada** who is constantly underestimated. If J Bree were to write a college textbook I would probably read that too. Donβt miss out on an amazing series and an amazing author!
I need more
I finished this book at midnight last night and I just can't...I need more of this story. I loved all 4 books, I love the Wolf's family and I love how the relationships and characters evolved but the characters stayed true to who they are. The love between lips and the guys was hot and her friendships are beautiful. My complaint is I was surprised when I read last page and the book was over because there is so much left unsaid and unresolved. Yes, we know lips and the guys have a HEA basically. But in the end we still don't know whats up with Avery and Atticus and what happened with Aodhan. Jackson and Vi. And Nate and Poe (& Thorn)?! I love them already and need more of their story. After I finished the book I noticed that J. Bree started a Butcher of the Bay series so i'm hoping (fingers crossed) that means she left these story line open so we will see more of it in a different book/series (please!!!!). And lastly I loved the prologues and epilogues with one of the guys perspective and I totally missed it in this last book. So J. Bree thank for this series, thank you so much and can you please make a bonus chapter from the guys or Avery's perspective or a novella so I can sleep at night and stop wondering where everyone ends up. Thanks and readers, stop what you're doing reserve the next 4 days and just read this series.
A Startling Conclusion, But Seriously Not The End
This book begins right where the last one ended, with the dinner with Senior. It's as they leave that Avery notices something about the Boar, something she's going to be researching. The Game is run again and there's a new member of the Twelve, Harley's cousin Aodhan is now know as the Stag. The power play he makes at the end of that was interesting but not enough to ally with the Wolf. This summer they stay at Avery's ranch, she's taken great pains to decorate it perfectly to house them all. There's another meeting of the Twelve, sort of an intro meeting for the Stag. The only thing that the meeting accomplishes is the knowledge the Jackal has invited the Devil into the mix and that he's even more unstable than before. The Coyote's girl Viola has information for Lips after the meeting. Avery's father aka Senior has been in contact with the Jackal. That information pushes Lips to contact the Devil about his purchase. So many surprises in this book, I won't spoil them you'll have to read for yourself. There's plenty of bloodshed as the Jackal comes completely undone. New alliances, more heads and an ending you don't want to miss. Next up is The Butcher of the Bay Parts 1 & 2, I've already started them I'm totally addicted to these books.
I waited to write a review
I waited to write a review, but I rated each book. Each book got five stars, obviously. But the series in a whole, is wow. I loved it, from the first book to last. I love how the story unfolds and each characters gets a storyline of their own, with a back ground in everything....SPOILERS HERE:. I was totally shocked at the plot twist of the crazy brother and sweet heart sister. I was definitely betting on boar being her dad, but since he turned out to be her uncle, I think that's even better. I do wish that Avery got a happy ending. I was hoping for things to work out with her and the crow but honestly, her and the stag would probably be much better. Really either. I just want to see her happy. I hope their is another book that dives into her relationship and where she ends up. The first three books kind of slowly built up to all the s*x...and boy did this fourth book deliver THE S*X. There was so many steamy scenes...and oh my sweet merciful Lord. The ones with ash and Harley were my absolute fav...and I was so beyond thrilled that she lost her v card to Harley...because come on, he loved her first. Hes the first one to open up to her, accept her, help her and be in awe of her. The way he loves her in such a way that is swoon worthy. And ash too. Ash's sweet circlings on her thighs and hands and the way he remember every detail of the jackels hide out. The fierce need to protect her....I LOVED THIS SERIES. I've read a few of j. Bree books and I will continue to read more. Her writing rocks and she has a way of telling the story that leaves u instantly purchasing the next book to see what happens... sorry for all the spoilers...but seriously. Best series. Buy allll the books.
Great RH series
I loved the conclusion to the series and that the author gave us hope for another story line! This was my first series by this author and I will for sure be reading more!
Amazing
As much as I didn't want it to end it was a good ending one of the best series I've ever read a must read you will not be disappointed i loved everything about it I can't wait to read more books in this world
Wow! Mounty for LIFE!!!
I read all 4 books straight through so this review is for the entire series and not a specific book. Seriously one of the best series I have ever read. I read all 4 books straight through in 3 days. My husband literally wanted to bop me over the head because I was so engrossed in the books nothing else existed while I was reading. The story itself was sooooo good. Usually when I read there are characters or parts I wish were developed a little more. I didnβt feel that way one single time reading this series. The characters, the plot, the twists, how the story was woven together as a whole....every single part of it was beautifully done and I was continually surprised and horrified along the way. I wonβt spoil anything here, but there was one male character I wasnβt too invested in at first, but OMG I am completely obsessed with now. He ended up being the most beautiful surprise in the entire story for me. I am already about to start a re-read because this series is that good. For real. I wish I could live there. I want to be in Lips family. Hell, they already feel like family but I want it to be for real lol. I donβt buy a lot of paperbacks anymore, saving my shelf space just for the books I know I canβt live without. but I am going to buy these as soon as I can afford to because I seriously canβt live without them. I read hundreds of books a year and this series is going to be on a continual rotation for me. The world the author created left a TON of room for her to revisit these characters in the future and I sincerely hope she does because itβs fierce and itβs freaking fantastic.
Great end to the series
I enjoyed the final book in the Hannaford Prep series. A lot of things happen in this book, and most serve to solidify this family these characters have created for themselves.
Keeps getting better
This one was the best book yet in this series. I think it would have been better if the characters were college students rather than high school. It is written very well and I love the characters. On to the next book!
Wow....Just WOW
I refuse to give any spoilers so if that's what you want read another review. If you enjoy characters with more depth than you can possibly imagine you definitely want to read this series. The plot twists are not convoluted to the extent that you end up confused and ready to throw the book. The FMC has an inner dialogue that shows just how complex we all can be and that what's on the outside is never the full picture. Intimate moments are not written as porn they are actual moments between lovers. If you truly enjoy reading these you don't want to skip over. My first by this author and I was NOT disappointed.
Sad that is is over
What an amazing end! UGH I am so sad that it is over, HOWEVER I am SUPER STOKED for Avery's books. I couldn't imagine a better finale for this series, honestly what a freaking adventure. Our group has become so strong and unstoppable and I have loved every second of it. Everyone needs to read this series at some point.
The End...For Now
So much was revealed in this last book, like, I canβt list everything because that would be more than two sentences. But...Harley is still life, Ash is also life, Blaise is questionable at best, I already love Aodhan, I absolutely love Nate and I cannot wait for his book!!!
All the diamonds.
To the end. This is not your typically academy RH. From the very beginning with Just Drop Out I have been so sucked into the Hannaford Prep world that itβs insane. I honestly did not want to start this book, because I didnβt want it to be over. I kept putting it down after a couple of chapters when I thought I was reading too fast. I laughed, I cried, I cheered, and I screamed. J Bree did a phenomenal job with this series and these characters. Reading about how each of them has made it from book 1 to book 4 has made me feel like I know them personally. Lips is such a b.a.b. Sheβs not your typical martyr heroine. Sheβs strong, intelligent, and she takes no shit. She does what she has to do to protect her family. Seeing how far sheβs come from the first book and how much sheβs grown has been amazing. I loved reading how the guys incorporate their upbringings to protect their family and round out the harem. Avery, I am straight up in love with Aves and how strong she is. J Bree doesnβt make Avery become something sheβs not to fit into the story, but still makes it so the Avery has a role In the family. Without Avery god knows where any of them would be haha. I am such a sucker for crazy and it has been a crazy ride from start to finish. J Bree you are the absolute best.
An amazing book, sad to see the series end.
Where do I even begin with this review? This final book wraps up all of the loose ends and outstanding questions from the start of the series to now. Lips and her boys are closer than ever - and they will need to be in order to overcome the Jackal and Beaumont Senior. My only complaint is that the final showdown with the Jackal leaves some open questions with Avery. This is explained in her spin-off series, but as I was reading this book I really wanted to know what happened!
Loved it
This was a great "ending to this series" it tied up basically everything we needed to now. It had all the parts that made me love it from the first book but it grew, developed and took on a life of its own. I put ending in quotations because I loved these characters so much I would love to read more about them maybe how they settle into life after high school and decide on their futures. I loved that Lips was just as bad and tough as her family and everyone helped everyone when it was called for and no one really appeared week. We do get a few revelations in this story that added their own spice and twist. The reverse harem romance aspect t was great and nothing was rushed or forced in their group (but there were some very hot moments. Even if we don't get more of this group directly (which might be a little sad) I think There are quite a few people I would love to see stories about like Avery, Poe, morning star (I've got a soft spot for those dark and damaged ones) to make a few. And if those were stories we might be able to still see how this beloved four-some are doing. This was a great series from a new to me author and I can't wait to see what she brings us next. Great book would recommend.
What a Conclusion
The ending to this series is crazy. Lips definitely went out with a gory and bloodstained bang! All the loose ends were all tied up and the ending was shocking. I never would have guessed it and everytime I think back to see if there were any clues I am still drawing a blank. It was a welcome surprise and I hope that J. Bree does a spinoff series with that storyline. This book was less believable than the other books just because of the amount of carnage, the fact that they are going up against deranged psycopaths, hard-core mobsters, and end up for the most part unscathed.
Dying to read the next book!!!
I am so in love with this series and the characters! I loved Hannaford Prep and knew I had to read Averys series. I am so sad the next book comes out in July βΉ However, the book wasn't too bad of a cliffhanger. I cant wait though! Definitely 5 stars!
A beautiful bloody road
It has been a beautiful bloody road for Lips and her family. She took out all the threats and found blood relatives and more family. I am so happy that she gout out alive and I am loving the family dynamic. I want Morningstar to have a book. This series was π₯π₯π₯
WE MADE IT.
Whew. This book. I've been thinking about how I'm supposed to write a review about this book. One that I anticipated for a decent period of time. One that was going to end a story that I wasn't ready to walk away from. It's the best and worst feeling. I loved this book and this ending. We already know that Bree will be writing more in this world... so I'm satisfied for now ;) If you're looking for steam, it's here. If you're looking for Lips to wreck havoc, you've got it. If you're looking for them all the take on the world and take their lives back, that's what this book is about. I loved seeing Lips finally take back everything that was stolen from her. To see her finally rise was everything. I'm so happy that with all her broken pieces, she was able to find herself. She was strong because she had no reason to be, the Jackal, Beaumont Senior, Morningstar, it all goes down. The fierce protectiveness they carry for each other them is amazing. I love that once they came together as a family, they were able to really make some "progress." I look forward to more from this world and these characters.
So very sad to see this story end...
OMG! My heart is in love with these young men. The deep devotion given to this one girl from the slums is incredibly moving. Lips is awesome but Avery is a total Queen. The descriptions of Ash, Harley and Blaise left me panting many times throughout the reading of this series...
Amazing
This whole series...great! I literally could not put it down! The suspense the crazy and dangerous in a ver disturbing way has never been more appealing! I canβt wait to see what happens next! Thx Bree
Last Year!! :(
AHH its the last year. I'm so sad. But this book was EVERYTHING!! So much drama, steam, action! Lips really opened herself up in this book and will do anything to save her newly found family. She won't let anyone take what is hers away. This book has more action in it than the rest and lets say the steamy scenes are worth it! All three guys, Ash, Blaise, and Harley really show a girl a good time. While trying to finish school and working to find the crazy Jackel, we have The Buther and Illie, Avery and the Crow, Atticus....so many characters that I just want to devour! Lots of excitement in this book and you will want to binge read it. So much lust and love. Lips really shows off her skills in this book also. I love that her and Harley are still threating each other over homework when assassins are trying to kill the lot of them. That ending also. WHYYY! I just can't. But then again, you need to read it. I need more of Mounts Bay and Lips with her guys. The Wolf isn't over!
