To Live is Christ - Bible Study Book: The Life and Ministry of Paul

This was an amazing book. I read it over the period of about three weeks, and wouldn’t be surprised if I began reading it again sometime. In the meantime though, I have about 13 other Beth Moore books that I’m excited about. ;) I’ve heard the name ‘Beth Moore’ over the years, but was never really sure who she was. Then I saw on someone’s blog that she had 14 of her books for free (for a limited time) on Kindle. Thinking it was a great opportunity, I downloaded all of them. I figured if I didn’t like the books, or if I disagreed with what she said, I could easily delete them and that would be the end of it. Then I dove into To Live Is Christ. For the past year I’ve been listening to the New Testament on my phone over and over again. I’m not sure how many times I’ve listened to it in the past 12 months, but I do know at one time I listened to it in only two weeks. Therefore, I’ve gotten really immersed in Paul the Apostle’s life. In To Live Is Christ, Mrs. Moore really delves deep into Paul’s life. It was a wonder-filled journey getting to see what life was like during the time a lot of the New Testament was written. Often times she begins a sentence like “Let’s imagine” or “Let’s suppose”. I enjoyed that a lot. It wasn’t as if she was trying to tell us ‘this is how it had to be’, but it was more like ‘can’t you imagine this might have been the way it was?’. All in all, it really helped bring the Bible to life for me and give me more practical ways of living it out. I’m not saying I agree with everything she said, but when do you ever find someone you agree with 100%? This book was great and I would totally recommend it! Having the world of the New Testament come more alive was a fun, interesting, helpful and encouraging journey!

Beth Moore still speaks to me as she has when I did my first Esther Bible study with her. In spite of our different political views and biases I can still learn some things from her and leave the other stuff at arms length. It was like reading something from someone I used to know.

This study on Paul and his devotion to Christ is filled with history and the evidence of his devotion. It made the man and disciple of Christ come alive to the point of being able to feel his emotions and see through his eyes. The Bible scriptures were scattered through every chapter so you could ready through the passages as the chapter developed. I highly recommend this book for those who are passionate for Christ and desire to be a bold witness for Him.

Good study, but LOTS of homework. Hours of work each week.

This book basically covers the life of Paul and includes some very interesting facts. However, it also contains many more errors, especially with punctuation, than I’ve noticed in a Beth Moore book before. She belabored some points, repeats, and over-describes, making the book very wordy. There’re also too many attempts to be cute that draws attention away from the message and to the author. Some of this seemed almost flippant. As typical of Beth Moore, however, it has a lot of meat and the potential to draw one closer to God. I do think the book would have been better if it had stuck with Acts and not have tried to include a few random chapters from Paul’s epistles.

A well researched and well written expository on the life and ministry of the apostle Paul. We not only see Paul as the apostle, but Paul as a person just like all of us with strengths, weaknesses, fears and even a past. Beth Moore does an excellent job at relating every aspect of Paul's life - ministry included - to the reader to show that we can leave or mark on this earth just as Paul did if we put our wholehearted faith and trust in God and rely on Him totally. This is a book you don't only read once, but you read it from time to time. It's a book you don't keep to yourself, but it's something that you can share with others in the faith. It's written not only from a biblical perspective, but also from a historical one, allowing the reader to better understand the New Testament and the context in which the letters and epistles were written.

This would be a good study with friends on the life of Paul or if you choose to go solo, do a chapter a week. It would take you a year to finish. The study questions are in the back.

This book left no detail unturned about the life of Paul. Beth Moore even included historical references of the time period and Greek translations of words in the original context and language. I walk away from this book feeling like I know Paul intimately; the words I read in the Bible have come to life and have taken on a different meaning. I approached this book like a daily devotional and read 1 chapter a day along with the recommended Bible passages. I also used the study questions for each chapter to guide my journaling after reading. To me, this was the best way to fully digest this book. I don't think I would have fully benefitted from it had I not read it in this manner. I do not recommend this book if you are a casual reader or are not willing to read the recommended Bible passages in the beginning of each chapter. Beth Moore is a phenomenal Bible teacher. I will be purchasing more of her books in the future.

This is one of Beth Moore's earlier bible studies. My women's group decided to go for it, even though it's an oldie! We weren't disappointed. Great overview of the book of Acts. Lots of us had never studied in depth the life of Paul, so we found it really interesting. Now when I hear anything about the letters Paul wrote, it makes so much more sense, knowing some of the back story of what was going on at the time he wrote the letters. Our group is comprised of both new and seasoned Christians, and we each got a lot out of it. Would highly recommend.

I downloaded this book during a Beth Moore promotional free give-away that LifeWay ran for a couple days. So glad I did! This book was very good, here's a couple reasons: It developed a better understanding in me of who the Apostle Paul was, what his writings meant, who he was writing to, why, where he was at the time, what made him tick etc. Paul became a flesh and blood man to me, and not just some super human I can't relate to. I discovered a new respect for the early church, with all its joys and struggles. At times I felt like I was with Paul during his imprisonments, beatings, shipwrecks, watching his boldness as he risked life and limb for the treasure he found. Beth Moore is a gifted communicator, solid in faith and a contagious follower of JESUS. Read it, then try her Bible Studies too.

This is the third study that I have done by Beth Moore now, and they have all been great! Honestly, the first few weeks, I was thinking that this one was not my favorite, but, being over half-way now I am really enjoying it. It is a very in-depth study on the life of Paul - from his beginnings to the end. There is a lot of history of the Jewish culture as well as about the early church - as it all relates to Paul and his ministry. Beth has a way of pulling things out of the scriptures that I wouldn't have thought of on my own, shedding a whole new light on passages. I also enjoy in this study how at the end of each study day she has a 'How does God want you to respond to what He showed you today.' question in the column - making me think more about how I can apply what we just went over! I would recommend this study - as well her others!!

I didn't live it. I liked it. It had some thought-provoking moments and she clearly has a heart for God and for teaching. If you consider yourself to be a more conservative Christan, this book is for you. If you area person of faith who doesn't fit in with more conservative Christan philosophy, this book will have troubling aspects for you.

I enjoyed studying the life of Paul. To think he was such a zealous persecutor of Christians - but isn't it like God to turn that around to a preacher and eventually writer.

In this book Beth does her usual excellent job of blending solid biblical research with intimate and emotional tugs at the readers heart! Most are very familiar with the story of Paul,but Beth will tell it to you in new ways. Whether you are an advanced bible student or a new reader of the Bible, To Live Is Christ will speak to you. Don't miss the study questions at the end! I did not notice them until I had finished the book. I plan now to retread all my many underlined passages and go through the study questions. A great book.

This book is amazing. Beth Moore does a great job of bringing the possible personality of the Apostle Paul to our minds as we read through the timeline of his life and match that to the wonderful Spirit filled epistles that he wrote. This man who wrote most of the New Testament and taught the early Christians what it means to be the Church, is brought to life in her book. It helps us to see what an amazing miracle his life truly was based on where he came from, and where Jesus took him. Read this book, then read the writings of Paul with a different view and appreciation for the man that God made him.

I never paid much attention to Paul’s letters to the different churches. This book helps to bring Paul’s ministry to light. It shows how our lives as Christians are illuminated by what Paul taught and endured and relates to our everyday lives in following Christ. I used this as a morning devotional, it gave me good insight to Paul’s teachings through his letters and life and how faith in Jesus really is the more excellent way.

I chose this book because I have done several of Beth Moore studies and love her deep and concise style. Also I am partial to Paul because he brought the gospel to the Gentiles. When you finish a Beth Moore study you will be richly rewarded because she makes you dig deep and that tends to help the information stay with you. One word of caution though this is not the workbook but a textbook of Paul's life. It is a companion work to the workbook.

I started this book years ago. Not as a study, I would call it more like a craving. Someone the book was tucked away and lost. Like me, it was found. What a gift. To be reading about Paul, as the Bible AD plays on the network covering Paul's ministry. God has a plan for all of us. Mine is to live a life to show Christ and for the footprints I leave to lead straight to Christ. It is in my gratitude I give this book my highest rating. Feel a bit like my eyes were opened and can see things so much clearer. Thank you Beth.

This is a great in depth study on Paul and Beth does a great job.

This is a wonderful detailed study on the life of Paul. I learned a lot. Get your Bible and a notebook and starting reading about this incredible servant of Jesus.

This walk through the life and some of the letters of Paul was an enjoyable devotional read that helped open my eyes to Paul as more than just the apostle and writer of much of the New Testament, but to Paul the man on a journey with God. This is not an in-depth study of the theology or letters of Paul, but it is an accessible and easy-to-read guide to the life of Paul that I would recommend to both women and men.

In her typical writing style, Beth Moore has breathed humanity into such a central character to the Christian faith. The effect is mesmerizing, heartening, and even hilarious! The lessons Paul learned, that either are overt, right there in Scripture, or implied based on the chronological study of some books of Acts, Romans, and some of his letters serve as a narrative to faith, and hope, and endurance. I loved, loved, loved this book.

I really enjoyed this study on Paul. I like her writing style and the different points she highlights that are different from most other writers.

This is an excellent book dealing with the life of Paul. I learned quite a lot that I did not know about Paul, and thoroughly enjoyed reading the book, the Kindle version. It is very well written and definitely held my interest. After reading this, you see Paul in a slightly different light; he would try to share Jesus with people no matter what it cost him. It does make us examine our own lives - oh that I could be more like him!

I love how Beth Moore delves deeper into Biblical figures than anyone else. She digs down deep to give a 360 view. She is not ashamed to share her personal struggles to help us see we are not alone or to help us see how God has worked in her life. Paul was so much like us yet so devoted to God. We can learn so much from his journeys, trials, and persecution. Moore breaks it down so we can see how we can grow from his life and examples.

One of many treasured books by Beth Moore. Her insight and method of communicating presents her subject - the Apostle Paul - as a man who uniquely served his Messiah yet was human, flawed, and successful only because he had yielded his whole life to Jesus. Through the words of Paul's companion, doctor Luke, and four of his own letters, Paul's life and ministry are studied. Beth challenges the reader to be more than a reader but an imitator of Paul's dedication to walking out daily what he proclaims openly - the transformed life of a Christian.

I love the way God reveals Himself through Beth. I learned so much thru this study. I am bolder in my walk with Christ. Beth teaches as few others can, she teaches with a heart full of love for Christ and the reader. You will not find condemnation in this book, or any of Beth's book, you will only find true love of Christ, the heart of a believer, and a deep desire for others to know the love of Christ. Please get this book, your life will forever be changed for the good.

Awesome book that looks deeply into the life of Paul. I wish it would have been a longer book that elaborated more. There were a few parts where Moore states, she wished she had more space to elaborate more. This is a book about Paul, she should have elaborated where she wanted. Other than that, great book. It really helped me to understand & fully grasp the Pharissee gone Apostle.

I found this book to be very inspirational. Beth Moore has been blessed with the gift of writing and speaking that is sure to inspire and give hope. I have never read about Paul before other than going through books of the Bible that he had written. Paul was a truly amazing person and Beth was able to reveal that through this book as well as teach us how to be as Christians. I recommend this book for all readers, men and women.

I've loved Beth Moore for a long time, but her in-depth look and investigation into the life of Paul is fascinating. She really looks into the heart of a man who started out as a sinful man (Saul) whose eyes had been closed and clouded by religion and man's view of God, to the devoted and sacrificial follower of our beloved Savior Jesus Christ, we now know as Paul. Her insight and teaching of Scripture has really helped me grow in my knowledge and faith in the Lord and His Word.

This is an exceptional Bible Study of Acts and the llife of Paul. Excellent and obvious study, research, historical, culture of the day and good background information. I learned much. Good writing and format. I will pull this study off the shelf again and review it. There was a tad too much personal story in some of the chapters but the wealth of information is stunning. I loved this study. The Lord is teaching me so much through the Beth Moore study workbooks. Recommend this to all. Thank you. Helena

Beth Moore is such an amazing Christian writer and so often I find passages in her books that are a balm for my weary heart. I have to say that the Lord has truly gifted this sister with His grace and the ability to share His truths in ways that we can easily apply to our lives today. I have many, many of her books and have loved them all. She is also one of the most dynamic speakers today .... LOVE her video series!

This is a powerful book. There is much benefit in studying the life of Paul and Mrs Moore did an amazing job getting deep into the word and works of Paul. Paul has always been my biblical hero and this book gave me further insights into his life and character. Don't skip a word, read it and treasure the understanding you will receive that will help you in your own walk with Christ. I was in tears by the final two chapters.

From the time he met Christ on the road to Damascus, Paul was sold out to the Lord Jesus. God used Paul to spread the message of the Gospel throughout the Gentile world, and his writings make up a large portion of the New Testament. His life and testimony are an encouragement to make every moment count for Christ.

Not my favorite of her studies, having trouble completing the days work. I get concerned when we put too many unknown scenarios into scripture that is not identified-even if clarified as such by author/teacher. The audio/video teachings are very good and I enjoy the series overall. There are many worthwhile insights and reminders and maybe the next 4weeks will go deeper.

It's great to have your eyes opened to Paul's life. So much of the time we read the Bible just for ourselves and really can't connect with the people of that day. This study gets you to put yourself in Paul's shoes which is hard to do without a study like this to bring it to light.

It is a wonderful book on the life of Paul with the typical "Beth Moore" twist. I love how she brings things from the Bible and relates them to today's time. She is a great author and I love her Bible studies. Will very seriously consider doing the indepth study of this book.

I would recommend this book for anyone having trouble connecting with characters in the pages of your Bible. The characters' stories and circumstances are brought into examination by the author. Each verse is shown as a step of a person who is just like you or I, struck with the enormous mission of 'running the race' . I love the understanding that comes with knowing the background and Greek words used to deepen the context of commonly used verses.

Beth Moore brings out points that make this so interesting. She is informed and has a lot of depth. We are currently using this series in our Bible Study. I am enjoying having it on my Kendal to review when waiting at different appointments. I have been in several Bible studies but Beth brings out customs and points that I had not thought about. I would recommend this to anyone that desires a closer relationship with the Lord.

Great price

Not sure how good this is because it was free and I haven't read it yet. But I do have a book that I would like to read with it so I have a feeling that it will eventually get some use. Nonetheless, I always love any Beth Moore studies so I know this will be a great one when I get to it.

Lifechanging! Beth did it once again! I learned SO much more about Paul and his life than I ever imagined. She did it in such a "real, everyday" way. Comparing Paul's walk to ours today and how we can learn from him to be better Christ followers!! Thank you BETH!! You ROCK!!! On to my NEXT Beth Moore book! I want "Moore"!!! ;)

As always Beth Moore writes an excellent bible study book. This one is well written and interesting material about John and presents some aspects of his life that I had never considered before. It is more lengthy and takes quite a bit of time to read and digest.

Beth is an excellent writer with the knowledge of breaking the Word down into terms we lay people can relate to. She is mostly dead on at opening MY eyes to things that have been said, read,heard many times before and no clarity..I enjoy her teachings and readings much.

What wonderful insights Beth Moore shares in this in depth study of the Apostle Paul. As we traveled over land & sea, through joy & pain, we were given the opportunity to be a part of his journey..his faith journey. If you would enjoy seeing some of the behind the scene settings..if you want to increase your depth of understanding....if you hunger to grow in Christ, this book is for you.

This book was GREAT! It was a very in-depth study of the life of Saul/Paul. Beth did an outstanding job comparing Paul to the modern day Christian. The things we face may be different than the things Paul faced, but we are still sinners just like Paul. She really got it in my spirit that if God could use Saul and turn him in to Paul, he could use me too. Great Book!!!

I love Beth Moore's Bible studies. Have been doing them for years. I try others in between, but still have a hard time finding others that can come close to the depth she covers. They do take about 45 minutes/day, but that's the way I prefer it. You can break it up if you don't have time and only finish half a day each day. You won't regret the in-depth study she provides.

How can you not love walking with Paul, it's an older Beth Moore, but still great for today. Will open your eyes on your own personal walk.

I've only looked through a little in this book so I don't really know yet.

I love how Beth uses information that Paul himself shared and information about Jewish culture to give us a glimpse into what his early life may have been like. She then weaves that together with some lesser known and many well known facts of his ministry years along with well known passages of Scripture. I have been inspired by Paul's life in a way I have never experienced before.

I enjiyed reading the love of Paul and came to know him in a deeper way. I gained insights into hus letters and the reasons cor writi g them. this is a good book, especially for those following Lucas on Life studies on Barnabas at the moment

i watched or read or used the item. You can look at my "star" review. I have nothing else to say about the product. Am I thew only one who resents having to type x number of characters and I have to Headline my review. Why does Amazon force their customers to serve them???

Who'd a thunk that God would choose someone as Saul to be an apostle for him. That proves that God has a plan for all of us.God kept his promises about the sufferings Paul would endure. Beth brought out so much of Paul's faithfulness to lead souls to Christ and teach them how to live for Christ. Thank you for another enlightening study.

I bought several used copies of this workbook, and we just write our answers on a legal pad since the books have been written in. But it IS a great Bible Study, even tho the video we had on hand at the church is fairly dated as far as hairstyles and such. But the information is timeless in this one so our group is really enjoying it.

This book is amazing. I got to know Paul as I never have. Much of it I did not know as I am just studying it. The Bible says so much but unless you do in depth study, you don't understand where the people are from. I know Paul deeply. What a,blessing that is. Beth Moore did a wonderful job of introducing me to Paul.

Given as a present - no idea if it's any good but lamost all of her stuff is worthy!

Paul is one of the most difficult disciples to understand and follow. But Beth Moore vividly illustrates his conversion, his absolute dedication to our Lord and how difficult his life was and how it takes grace to live as Christ. Paul did it in spades and thus we are challenged. But she does not flinch from telling us the price to do it too.

I love all of Beth Morris work. It's not lightweight fluffy stuff. It has enough gravitas to actually learn something from. However it's not so overwhelming that you can't figure it out and relate to it. I have done her Bible studies and workbooks for years. This is the first book I have bought though. But she is awesome, no matter what the format!

I have always admired Paul. This book has brought to light some ideas I had never thought of before. There were times when conjecture was presented as fact.

I enjoyed reading this in my quiet time in sync with a Biblical Theology class. My church is also studying the life of Paul so this has been a great resource for learning what the teacher is offering to us. I love Beth Moore though, and the real way she presents the Gospel and the lives of those in the Word.

To Live Is Christ by Beth Moore - I have read/studied several of Beth Moore's book and Bible studies by myself and with small groups. Never has she disappointed me or anyone I know. Each time she challenges us in all the right ways and reveals deeper truths of God's word. Every book/Bible study is well worth the time spent.

Beth Moore is one of my favorite speakers and writers. She pulls no punches and writes frrom the heart. Having heard her speak, reading her books - any of them - presents a clear picture of her before her auidences. She spends enornous amounts of time researching her topics and the reader can learn from her and trusts what she says.

I like this study book as I do all Beth Moore books, but I would be interested in seeing study books in lard bold print. Are any available?

Knowing how to act is something we all know. Being able to control our thoughts and the little things that no one else knows except for us and God is our saving grace or our condemnation. Being able to read the words and place yourself, your actions, and your thoughts into living a life for Christ makes your life more meaningful.

I was mesmirize by all the history the apostle Paul. In short, he wrote much of the new testament, and I was fascinated to learn more about him. Beth Moore brings the apostle's journey into the light, and I learn more about my savior through him. Who better to explain about forgiveness than the the forgiven, as Beth Moore relates his history.

As always, Beth Moore has written an exciting book! Much insight and information on the life of Paul, and I like that she included some info on several other books he wrote. This will actually be a reference book for me when I teach my Sunday School from the book o Acts.

Such an inspiration in its entirety. Most importantly at the end of his life, God rescued Paul, when his work was finished. I love that. His struggles and his strength gives me strength to do all things as well. Thank you so much Beth Moore for this wonderfully inspiring book of Faith and Hope till we see the face of Jesus.

I have yet to read this book. I have heard amazing things about this author. Easy to download and place on kindle. I can read it from any electronic I have kindle access on. This was user friendly and I am excited to start this book. Check out other books by the same author. I received 16 free books from amazon that day!

Beth Moore breaks everything down so we can understand the word of God better. I have a better understanding of the Bible and God's teaching because of Moore's ability to interpret His word, and bring it to life, in her books.

God works wonders through Beth Moore. To Live is Christ really gives insights many of us never have even considered. I am blessed by Beth Moore's book and studies a lot. My prayer is to one day be able to attend a conference and meet her in person and tell her thanks for allowing God to work in my life through her!

What a wonderful book! Great to read by yourself or in a group study. I learn so much from the historical details, spiritual insight, and application to my own life.

I've been a Christian for years but have never taken the time to fully understand Paul and the gospels that he wrote. I've been missing out. Beth Moore did a wonderful job of taking Paul's life and explaining and applying it to every day trials, tribulations and victories. Thank you for this wonderful, life changing look at Paul!

This reads a bit like a novel, but with beautiful, insightful teaching mixed in. I loved every chapter and eagerly looked forward to picking it up again and again. I found myself identifying with Paul and desiring greater faith!

I really enjoyed Beth Moore's "To Live Is Christ". It was easy to understand and yet thought provoking. It was a pleasure to read each chapter. I especially appreciated the historical background that was provided. Even though I have studied these same scriptures for years, I developed a greater understanding and appreciation of Paul.

This book takes you from Saul persecuting Christians on to his experience with the Lord and his conversion to Paul the apostle. Paul worked hard to help establish early Christianity and Beth Moore helps the reader feel the excitement and the difficulties Paul and others faced. You can't go wrong when you read a book by Beth Moore.

Warning: If you think you are buying the audio Bible study sessions that go along with the workbook, do not buy this set!!! I bought the CDs and workbook, thinking I was going to sink my teeth into another wonderful Beth Moore study, and boy, was I disappointed! Other Beth Moore CD sets are audio versions of her videorecorded Bible study sessions. Those series capture not only the text, but the enthusiasm with which Beth Moore shares her message. I thought that's what I was getting. Instead, what I have is a narrator who is not Beth Moore reading the book version of this title, not the study itself. I also bought the workbook that goes along with the Bible study sessions. Now that I've opened the shrink wrap to listen to the 30-seconds that told me I had the wrong CDs, I can't return the set. I've wasted my money on both the CD set and the workbook. Please don't make the same mistake I've made!

I really enjoyed studying Paul's life. I also looked forward to picking up where I left off and getting away lost in the book while learning. I look forward to going through this study again and again.

Enjoyed getting more personal with Apostle Paul. He always seemed so "hard" and unpardonable to me. I feel like I know him better and like him better and appreciate all he has done for the Word.

Beth Moore is able to help us see biblical people as humans. This book looks at the life of Paul. We tend to think of him as super human; but she reveals his humanity, his human emotions. She also points out that we have the same resources if we will use them.

I've always been fascinated with the Apostle Paul. This book has wonderful insight into the man and his ministry to the Gentiles.

I love Beth Moore's style - easy to read, like she's having a conversation with you. But it's not chit chat, it's deep and thought provoking insights into Paul's life. Then she takes it one step further and gives applications you can use in your own life.

I enjoyed it all.

Beth Moore makes sure that what she writes comes from the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As she uses this guidance along with her own experiences, she allows others to see that in making mistakes...even big ones...God can use it for His good. Knowing about Paul's life allows one to understand more clearly what he is saying.

I've always had mixed feelings about the beloved Apostle Paul but Beth study of Acts really helped me see Paul's tender heart, his undeniable love and dedication to his Lord and as a champion of women.

These older Bible studies by Beth Moore are wonderful. They require about an hour a day for 5 days a week to complete the Bible study part, but are so insightful. If you are truly interested in learning about the Bible, Beth Moore can lead you into deep study in a loving and masterful way.

Very spiritually uplifting & encouraging one to look at your life & recognize who Christ is as the Savior of mankind, the sacrifice He paid for me & all mankind to be free from spiritual death and that we can follow His teachings, live obediently ...living free, abundantly as Christ.

I saw an ordinary human being changed by God's presence and Paul's relinquishing of any rights to self. I sensed an author who deeply studied the man and his God.

This was my first Beth Moore study!! It won't be my last!!! Beth is so REAL...been through it herself, just like Christ went through all we have been through!!! Learn about the Apostle Peter and his imperfect life and how God turned him into an amazing teacher for Christ!!! Thank you Beth Moore!!

I enjoyed this read. As I have never studied Paul's life or apostleship, it was really neat to walk through (from one perspective). I really appreciated the different ways she looked at things.. definitely worth the time spent.

I love Beth Moore's teaching. She brings the reader to an intimate relationship with the subject matter, in this case Paul, and delves deep into the lessons to be learned from the subject of each of her studies. Ordered this to have in addition to have watched the video lesson series of the same name.

The Famous words of Paul resound in the title of this book. I have yet to read anything by Beth Moore that I do not like. All her books and study guides are well written and thought provoking. Anyone who desires a closer walk with the Lord will appreciate the work in this book.

This is the first Beth Moore book l have read.I liked how she used common language and Greek wording to get her point acrossed .I will definitely be reading more of her books.

To read about the Apostle Paul before and after his conversion to Christ offers such hope. It stirs up faith not only to walk fully in the call of God in each one of our lives, but to persevere in praying for those loved ones that we think have gone too far.

Great read about the life of Paul. I always enjoy the insight of Beth Moore and the way she can bring the scripture into new light and make you see it in a new way that will teach you so much more than you realized was possible.

I grew spiritually from this book. I can relate to Beth Moore's heart! I know Beth doesn't appeal to everyone but I will probably reread this book at sometime down the road of life. That says a lot because I have only reread classics in the past (other than the Bible).

I love reading any thing by Beth Moore. Her books and bible studies are revealing, intuitive and joyful. She makes Jesus come to life and brings Him into yours. Every one of her books have been a life lesson for me. I would recommend this one as well as her others.

I'm still reading/listening to this as I opted for the Whispersync audible addition to this book. Very interesting and entertaining! Beth Moore is an excellent teacher, and she gives us a view of Saul/Paul that I've never thought about before. I would encourage you to use the Whispersync option.

This book about the Apostle Paul was inspiring and challenging. It made much of the New Testament come alive for me. Knowing details of Paula's life opened my mind to more understanding of many familiar verses.

Really explained why people in the old testament did some of the things that they did. She explains things so that anyone can understand. She explains alot of religious traditions. Good background!

Bought for my mom, although I don't think she ever read it. Still seemed good though.

This was an excellent study on the Apostle Paul. I love how Beth brings out the Jewish custom in her teaching to enhance the learning process. All of Beth's studies are fantastic, but I really loved this in-depth study on the life' teachings & travels of Paul.

The life of Paul is so full of lessons for all of us. I think this was one of my favorite studies. I gained a deeper knowledge and desire to study the Word through this book.

If you are starting a Beth Moore study this is the one you need. It is a great study and this is our last week of class. Thanks for your help in getting this to me. It was very late but I am enjoying the study very much.

Such insight and depth! A must read! This helped with my walk with Christ! I recommend this to everyone who is seeking to better their walk with the Lord.

Such a great book, looking through the lens of Paul and how he chose to live his life. Such an example to follow, to have his heart for the lost, for the Church, for the Lord

in-depth study of the life and ministry of Paul. If you want to be challenged and pushed in your faith, this study is for you! Suggest working through it with a group, but still great as an individual study.

Beth Moore brings out how far the grace of God had taken Paul. To have lived the live Paul did would have been so amazing but he suffered greatly for his Lord. May God grant us the grace to love him more than life itself.

Prior to reading this book my feelings for Paul weren't what would be expected for so great an apostle. Beth Moore showed me Paul in a different way, and now I have a lot more respect for him. Thank you Beth Moore!

Beth Moore is a very down to earth writer. She brings living as Chirst to light in an understandable way through Paul's life. By writing of Paul she shows how real his life was. this helps us see our chance to live as Christ.

This is a great study about Paul. As always Beth Moore delivers. There is so much more to the life of Paul than the first glance offers and Beth helps the reader to see the incredible man that he was!!!

I have always loved Beth Moore's bible teaching. This study is about the life of Paul and it has the unmistakable hand of Beth Moore....she has a way of exciting you about the subject. I certainly would recommend the book.

I realize Beth Moore is a 'big name' in the Christian market, but I have to say that this book is nothing more than a few random comments with list after list of scripture references. Don't get me wrong, the scripture references are valuable, but I don't need Beth Moore to tell me about them. There are concordances and great websites for that. I got the feeling she just wanted or needed her name on another title. I'd give it a one, but 'hate' is not a word I want to use.

Excellent book about the life of Paul. Great to use as a devotional. In-depth, with short chapters, solid truth, and life/heart-changing!

Beth Moore has done it again! She is truly gifted by the Holy Spirit! She takes you through the life of Paul, and you will see Paul in a different light. She brings out the humility and passion of Paul that I have never picked up on before. You will learn to share Paul's passion for Christ with this book.

Not my favorite of hers, but still a life-changing book. I needed the deeper insight into Paul's life and writings.

Great look into Paul's life. An apostle that isn't always respected by women, she guides us into his thinking and shows us just how passionate and zealous he was.

Great member book whether you see the video series or not. It is so complete in and of itself. If you want to study further into the life of Paul, the apostle, this is a great book.

Beth is very thorough in describing Paul's circumstances and the history of the times in which he ministered. Her thoughtful way of expressing his probable thoughts and feelings in his writings show his humanity and total dependence in Christ.

Beth Moore is one of my very favorite authors. Reliable! Holds my interest from the first word to the last. I know I'm getting Biblical based truths whenever I pick up a Beth Moore book.

She has such a deep understanding of the truths of God's Word, yet the brilliance to apply His truths to our daily lives in such a way as to make sense of an otherwise mediocre existence.

Although I do not agree with two areas of her beliefs, she has a tremendous way of bringing the character to life. Her insight is very helpful as I continue to Live for Christ.

I got the wrong book and the sorry did not use it at all. It took a long time in arrival and by the time the right one came I has missed several weeks of class.

Beth Moore's work kicks ones spiritual behind. Not for a lightweight believer. She does, however educate those willing to learn more about Jesus Christ and building an eternal relationship with Him.

Although it was long - I didn't realize this was a Bible study until the end - it is an interesting account of one of the greatest disciples' lives.
