Libri molto belli esteticamente, sia fuori che dentro. Pensavo si trattasse di un bundle di 2 libri ma in realtà sono 3. Il libro con la copertina verde contiene 2 libri dello stesso autore. Sono presenti sporadici errori di stampa (a volte manca il punto, lettere maiuscole, in una pagina c'è scritto ad esempio "m" anziché "in". Questo non penalizza comunque la validità di questa edizione bellissima

Nonostante ciò già dai primi capitoli troviamo vari errori di battitura, punteggiatura che sparisce, parole scritte male e via dicendo. Niente che rovini l'esperienza del libro, è tutto comunque molto comprensibile e dopo un po' non ci si fa neanche più caso, nonostante ciò è un difetto importante da far notare.

I've only read 'Think and Grow Rich' so far but it was a great book with some excellent lessons about the mindset of successful people.

Tried and tested advice - and essential reading for any would-be entrepreneur.

I can honestly say that this is not my usual reading matter, I have read a number of authors who detest these types of books (Erich Fromm is not a fan, definitely not and writes about it in Art of Being and elsewhere but largely attributed publishing trends like these to unconscious social character, in particular a "marketing character" which he thought was pathological) and some good criticism of "The Secret" and "Laws of Attraction" literature/publishing phenomenon (which was inspired/grounded in Wallace D. Wattles The Science of Getting Rich) as later day superstition or myth manufacturing. However, Napoleon Hill's book has been recommended to my sister, some of her friends have read it and I am always happy to try a recommended read. The two books are supplied film wrapped together, each have a partial paper cover giving a brief description on the back, which you can keep or discard I guess. They are each hardcover black bound books with indented title on the cover and spine of the book. The Napoleon Hill book has an introduction by the series editor while the Wallace D. Wattles book has a preface by Catherine Ponder and the series editor. Both of these books can be described as guides recommending that if you change your thinking then you will change your life, the one focuses on changes which will (in theory) attract riches and the other upon changing your thinking to be like those that are rich if you want to become rich. As I have said these are not my thing, they are interesting but in the sense of curios really and/or possibly exploring the point of view of others or gaining insights into the thinking of others. It reads like a lot of optimism oriented motivational thinkers or writers, as far as this goes I have always preferred Carnegie's How To Make Friends And Influence People and its successors. That is to say that this may be a matter of taste, they are not the worst examples of this sort of literature, I can think of much worse and much more recent (those two things are deliberately being connected as these are books from perhaps the early day or inception of this genre). There is no way that I would consider these books in the same league as, say, The Republic or The Prince, other titles in the series, although they are all part of the range which is admittedly a broad church.

I read a lot of success books published all written and published between 2000 and now (majority after 2010), except one or two published in the 1990s.So this was quite a journey, back in the 1910s and 1930s so I was curious what these books would teach me what I have already not found in the updated, research-backed modern success books. Well, these are very helpful and because of them, I have located other classic titles (e.g. the art of war) which are equally proving the accuracy of the old adage, ' Old is Gold'. Think and Grow Rich: What a book. I like the 13 steps.to riches covering areas like desire, faith, imagination, persistence, the brain and the sixth sense. Very interesting treatment of each of these areas, Napoleon Hill kind of knows how to paint with words. Absolute page turner though I could not resist rereading some pages or sentences or lines. The chapter 'Organised Planning' is spiced with, ' the Thirty Major Causes of Failure', a list of items that made me think as I made quite a number of them. So I came out having actually learnt a lot more than I thought I would or was possible with most books I rated highly on the subject. The Science of Getting Rich: The first thing that caught and confused my mind is the idea that is the Central Theme of the Book: Creating wealth from a Creative Mind and NOT a Competitive mind. I had to look this up further and found that it's quite ubiquitous and there are Marketers who are specifically running their marketing campaigns from this 'Creative Mind' perspective. Basically, it's the idea that, you are to Create and not Compete for what is already made. You do not need to take away from anyone. He states that cooperation cannot be gained when people are in the Competitive mind. In line with the what Wallace says: you may not be able to give every person more in cash market value than you take from him but you can give him/ her more in use value than you take from him. Following this is an example: if you sell (by getting his fur worthy $500) an Eskimo by using very clever marketing, an expensive Painting worth thousands of Dollars, you have wronged him. But if you sell him a Gun worthy only $50 for his fur, you have given him more in use value because he's can make good use a gun. There is a lot of good stuff in this book. This is a great collection that is really differentiated from many of my modern books to which this collection is complimentary. I

Think and Grow rich by Hill is a really interesting read, one I will definitely be dipping in and out of in future. The emphasis being on 'think', this is all about mindset and not necessarily talking about richness in a financial sense.

I was introduced to the first of these by a friend some years ago who gave me the original 1937 version by Napoleon Hill. I found that, if you are prepared to spend the time and application, the books are both excellent self-development foundation books and well worth reading. Obviously, if they sit on a bookshelf, nothing will happen except dust gathering. Mine sat there for a while. However, with these to trial for Amazon, I had to read them. Sadly, these books did not affect much change in me. It is not the way my life works. I understand the principles, but although I'd like to be more successful in some ways, in others I am far too content. The premise is that you change the way you think in order to gain that success. I have not found that I want to change in that way. I recently asked the old friend if he was rich now (I didn't think he was). He admitted that he isn't rich, but comfortably off. I think he was comfortably off before. I spend my spare time working for charities and have applied some of the principles for them. I suspect that this would be more successful if I did this more, but perhaps I am just too lazy. I'm sorry this review is not more constructive, but others have said so. Mine is an honest appraisal and more of a judgement on myself, I fear.

These are two those books you must read if you are into self-development. They are the foundation stones upon which to build success. The premise of both books is simple, by thinking and creating ideas, you can build wealth, as everything you buy etc has once been an idea in someone's mind. You need an imagination and an idea, you then use the formula contained in the books to create the dream. Hill uses real life examples of how to use your mind to the greatest effect possible, to create wealth. The treatise of Think and Grow Rich is split into 17 Rules. These 17 Rules are tried and tested so that when they are put together they form a system. By using the system you too can create wealth. Does it work? Without a doubt, Hill's philosophy works. The background to the books is as fascinating as is the author. Andrew Carnegie introduced Hill to the biggest businessmen in American and both books are a treatise of what Hill discovered to be the common traits of success amongst the super successful. I have used this book to create multiple streams of income by thinking strategically about my business. I have increased my personal wealth in the last ten months, faster than I have in the last 5 years. I would suggest that the reader of this book also should purchase the following books. The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D Wattles, Born Rich by Bob Proctor, Physco Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz. These books will help overcome the initial skepticism, caused by internal conditioning, ie "Can it really be this simple". Combine these books with the brilliant book by Hill, and I guarantee you will change your financial destiny forever.

Sleek Matt Black Covers and a classy addition to any bookshelf. If you're buying these because you haven't read them before or have heard good things, let me make this simple for you; They're classics for a reason. They've stood the test of time and have valuable information inside. Because they're classics, I'm only going to review these particular versions, meaning the handy two pack and the sleek matt finish and high quality paper. These are going to last a lifetime and look great at the same time. I specifically wanted them to add to my growing library, and they've made a great and stylish addition.

These are classics which focus on the power or secret of the Universe and how you can harness that power in a positive way to bring all good things into your life. I am not reviewing the content per se, but the particular package that is on offer here. There any many reviews that will give you much detail about the content. This particular set is well presented using the traditional type-faces and layout. The cover is much more modern than the appearance of the content. I think I would have preferred the presentation to match - classic exterior with classic interior, or modern exterior with modern interior. The presentation is nice though. If you are interested in this subject area (probably start with "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne) then these are real classics and are very nicely presented. They would make a nice gift for someone if this is their interest.

These texts are reprints of classic personal development writings. Think and Grow Rich was originally published in 1938. The Science of Getting Rich dates from 1910. Both books have introductory chapters by Tom Butler-Bowden which helps to set the context of the books in a modern setting. The books are nicely presented all in black - the colour on the photo is only on a 2/3rds height dust jacket. These are classic texts, in every sense of the word and as such should be on the shelf of everyone with an interest in personal development. They form the foundations for many more modern books on the subject and still carry relevance today.

The new success classics collection are really nice and this set has my favourite book ever (Think and Grow Rich)... the books are bound lovely, have a great cover (they look amazing once you have a few of them in a row). The books themselves are well known but if you want a modern version of them to look great then go for these.

Beautifully presented gift set with books that complement each other. The hardbacks feel special and good to hold. The format does justice to the contents. The writing on the spine is black on black and difficult to read so you should leave the dustjacket on. But the dustjacket is not full size and I found myself fighting the impulse to throw it away.

I love the sleek look of both books and how with Wallace's book you get two for one. If you haven't already read either of them, the way they are presented will be a joy to read.

These are two classic books. They are physically very good quality and would make a good present. The price at the time of review is £11.36 which is reasonable for two hardback books. Just be aware that if this is not a present, you might wish to consider the Kindle versions instead because they cost a mere £1.48 for both books at the time of writing -

Great books on positive thinking. Definitely classics on the subject. The two I owned previously were very badly printed and I wouldn't even want to give them as gifts whereas this set is beautiful and printed in readable font. I don't really think it's necessary to talk too much about the law of attraction. Napoleon Hill explains it particularly well. I wasn't quite so keen on the Wallace Wattles version. It was too repetitive and full of unnecessary boring information with the author going over the same things over and over again. Hence, 4 stars rather than 5. I would have preferred it if that book was replaced by another title.

Excellent non-fiction classics delivered in a high quality volume set. Excellent printing and editing; a lovely addition to your book collection for fans of non-fiction titles.
