The Complete Book of Ford Mustang: Every Model Since 1964 1/2 (Complete Book Series)

This is a very helpful book on mustangs. I am looking to buy an old mustang in the future and my dad and I came across this book when searching for books on mustangs. This is really easy to read and learn about each year model mustang from 1964 1/2 to today's mustangs. This helps a buyer in looking at getting an original mustang with its original parts and colors. This will help me also negotiate pricing on older mustangs because it gives you the base price that the mustang was sold for in that year. This also helps when decoding the car's vin number plate located on the driver side door. If you are a collector of Mustang items this would be a great addition to any collection. The part that really fascinated me was the section about the Shelby Mustang and learning about the creator himself.

As usual, I struggled to come up with a Christmas gift for my husband. Thank goodness my brain finally kicked in a few days before Christmas when I thought of his much beloved Mustang. First place I went was Amazon and found the Complete Book of Ford Mustangs. My husband calls the book "eye candy" and he couldn't be happier with his gift. FYI, the shipping was fast as it arrived in three days.

Very nice book, It is a large hard back book that will look great sitting out on a coffee table. The book is wrote very well and had a lot more information in it than I expected. All of the pictures are very nice and high quality. The copy I got covered the model years through 2016 so check the copyright date before you order if you want the later years (this is in regards to the reviewers who complained that the book only covered till early 2010's). My copy states in the upper right corner "Updated Version". If the author would show the current revision better it would clear up this confusion.

I didn't believe the salesman that it was a real Bullitt - I thought that they were all green. I looked it up in the book and it showed that they came in black, blue and green.

Complete is way off & the wrong word to use for the title of the book sadly.. they breakdown the 2013 Boss 302 but barely a mention of the 2013/14 SHELBY GT500.. the BIGGEST V8 Ford has & will ever make for a Mustang..

The Mustang book contained all the information that I was looking to find. It is really interesting to read about how the car developed from the beginning to present day . My main reason for wanting the book is because I am very interested in purchasing a vintage Mustsng, something of 69 or 70 vintage and I wanted to know all about what options were available in these models. There are s lot of ripoff arrests out there so having the information at your fingertips is very important !

I love the book itself, however, I will probably not shop on Amazon again due to the huge hassle of payment errors. I prepaid for a copy of the book, then a couple weeks later (closer to Christmas) I received an error statement in which something was wrong with my payment option. I tried to fix the problem and resolve it, but nothing I tried seem to work. Also, I could not get a hold of live customer support. I ended up ordering another copy with my Mom's debit card (with her permission of course) and ordered 3 day shipping on the book in order to receive it by Christmas (as it was a present for my Dad). Unexpectedly, I received two copies of the books in the mail. As a result, my Dad received a spare copy in case his first was damaged XD Have a great day!

Great coffee table book with plenty of pictures and a reasonably detailed story behind each generation. Not too technical, but it does have a wealth of information in the back on all the accessories with each year and a price list that will shock younger readers to find out how much a 1966 Mustang GT cost!

There are books out there that are supposed to completely cover the Mustang. Most of them don't. They are either picture books or they are numbers and stats books. Some only cover certain styles or certain years. This is the one book that can call itself the Complete book on the Mustang. I would give it a 4.5 if that were possible. Too many of the pictures are black and white.

Why do you want this book? Because if you own a mustang or just are a fan, this book contains many pictures , history, and model details. It is similar to just about anything you can find on internet or in other books, but it is very fun to read and informative. It was revised in 2010, so does not contain 2011-2015 models.

I gave this book to a mustang owner and vintage enthusiast. He love the book and couldn't get over how much information was provided.

Book has many great pictures and lots of info for all the cars. I bought this as a gift for a friend in the Hospital as he is a Mustang Aficionado. When he finally was released, he thanked me for the book and stated he really enjoyed all the info and details as well as the great pictures detailing all the cars that where in the book.

Its a wonderful piece of nostalgia for those of us who grew up with muscle cars. I have owned 6 Mustangs, including my current 2014 one, and am very attached to the "ponies." The book highlights those I forgot about. A must for Mustang lovers!

This book appears to have at least one copy of every factory brochure for the Mustangs. It is a valuable reference to pin point annual changes of model and specifications. I am very pleased with this book for my purposes. Makes enjoyable reading as well as a valuable reference work.

Not so fast, pony-breath; Remember Ed McMahon and his intros for Johnny Carson's comedy routines? Granted, this book may not have "everything" about Mustangs, but it sure comes pretty darn close, according to my husband. If was a gift for him after finally getting his dream car, a 2007 Mustang GT California Special convertible. There are numerous pictures of many different models as well as enough writing to explain any questions you may have. The delivery was fast and easy. If you love Mustangs, I'm sure you'll love this book!

Great, high quality hard cover book with specs, info and pictures from 1964-1/2 to 2007. A great reading book that'll take you back in time to relive the birth of the Mustang, the Shelby's, Boss Mustangs, Mach 1's, GT's and Cobras. Should be in every diehard Mustang fan's library.

Fantastic book with excellent information and pictures. The history of the models and the various engines offered with details and explanations. I did not care for the information after 1970 but just because I don't like models after 1970.

Bought as a Christmas present for my Mustang loving son. This is a beautiful book! I looked through most of it before I wrapped it. I told him it was for his coffee table and he said, HUH? I don't think millennials know what a coffee table book is. But he did put it there. Several months later I was visiting and he had 2 new puppies that needed to be named. We were brain storming possible names and he picked up this book they are now called BOSS and SHELBY. Worth the price of the book right there. :-)

It's always difficult to summarise 50 years of history without getting too wordy or overcomplicate things but this book does 50 years in great style. Every year is dealt with and the photographs are great, perhaps though the print could be a fraction larger. However then the book would be bigger and heavier which would detract from it

Book must have been shipped from China, although I was warned that it would take a while. The book is obviously new, but had several scratches on the cover. Since I didn't buy it to become a collectors item, I can live with it. The book is all that's promised, everything you ever wanted to know about Mustangs. I bought a 64 1/2 in the summer of 1964 and I enjoyed reading the background of Mustang's development.

These Motorbook tomes are usually very good. This book is certainly no exception. Not being a Mustang owner, but a car geek, I found it quite good. Very informative. Gorgeous photos. Great explanations. Background info on the Mustang's evolution was quite informative. I know I tread on dangerous territory by saying this, but................. I wish Motorbook would print these in the USA. This was China. Quality was, admittedly, very good for this book. The book is grand. Mueller went to great pains to present a book worthy of the marque and worthy of his name. Mustang is an American icon. This book does the icon proud. Very well done.

I am not American but as many others in this world, have always been a fan of Mustang since my childhood. I just purchased one and wanted to have a book on this great car. 1. Product This book is of great quality. The cover is very thick yet flexible. The pages are shinny and of good quality too. 2. Content About 360 pages of great informatin on Mustang's history. Nicely organized. This book brings you the story of the car from its beginning (even before 1964) during its creation, until today (2011). Very nice pictures of cars and very good text. If like me you are not an expert in mechanic, then you will appreciate the "facts" for each model; such as the reasons for this model to be developped, the reason for a new engine, etc. The only negative aspect of this book in my mind is the very limited content on the last models. I personally have a 2013 model and would have loved to have more on this book. As the matter of fact, you only have 2 pages of the 2011 model on this book out of the 360. But I guess this is not what should stop people from buying this great book!

I don't have the book, but I did notice that the photo caption on page 25 is incorrect. The man at the wheel is not Roy Lunn, it's Sam Radak. Mr. Radak was the Public Relations Director for the Engineering and Research division. (Or whatever his title was.) I believe Mr. Mish was his boss. I have a copy of that photo, as well as several others. I'd also note that my dad told he didn't really sit behind the wheel. He's cut into the photo, and it's possible Mr. Misch and Mr. Bordinat are also "Photoshopped" in. As I recall, they were out of time and couldn't get shots of everyone sitting in the car, hence the manufactured photo. Enjoy the book.

I bought this book for my fiancé to keep his mind busy and positive while we are doing this time together. He called me and expressed how much he is enjoying it and happy it dates back to the last few decades of mustangs plus he is an owner of a fox body and is a mustang fan and always will be. Everything you wanted to know about mustang...even somethings you did not want to know. Great pictures and great articles. Year by year reviews of each mustang. These articles go over the slight differences between the model years/models etc. Over all, well worth the money. Found it cheap here too.

This book contains so much information, both factual and pictoral documentation. The images, that are included, contain a lot of rich detail that show how beautiful mustangs really are in there journey through the past 43 years of history. This information in this book is so well layed out! The charts and diagrams that are provided make it easy to get quick information about the car, and these charts and diagrams are provided for almost every year mustang. If you are looking for a book that will dramtically increase your knowledge of mustangs and their history, then this is the book for you!

I own several Mustangs and am in Mustang and Shelby Clubs plus I insure millions of dollars in collector cars. I can attest as a hard-core Mustang enthusiast that this book has outstanding stories and photos plus it is very detailed. It is a great book and worth every dollar!

Awesome book!!! Very good details and descriptions of changes from year to year. It lacks production numbers for some years but has them for most. The only thing that the book could use to make it any better is VIN codes and door panel codes for each year. Overall it's an awesome book.

I've always liked Mustangs, but have gravitated towards Camaros, and GM cars in general, but I picked this book up anyway. I'm glad I did. It's an incredible piece of work. Mueller's research and his writing would make any subject interesting. Now I'm thinking about getting a new Mustang instead of waiting for the new Camaro to come out. This is a great book.

This is a wonderful book, covers everything you would want to know about the car, not just the production models, but the prototype models and promotional material thru the years, this book stops with 2007-2008, hope they print a supplement, as i have a 2009. definatly would recommend, great coffee table book.
