With proof that the new member of the Legacy Foundation is really her brother, Charlie sets off to visit Salem with him and her boyfriend Jack Hanson. She’s never been to the city before and finds that the history swirling is only one of the things that has her excited.
Not long after landing, a body is strung up in Salem Common, and witnesses say it was ghosts doing the dirty work. Jack is intrigued enough to call in the rest of the team. Since Charlie’s parents are supposedly taking refuge within the city limits, the investigation makes for a nice cover.
It’s not long before Charlie realizes that there’s more going on in Salem than witches and white magic. Something dark is festering under the surface, and whatever it is seems to be taking aim at her.
Charlie wants answers. She’s also afraid to get them. During the search for what she’s lost, though, she becomes more determined than ever to hold onto what she has.
There’s evil afoot, and a woman who looks like an older version of Charlie is stalking the group. Could the two things be connected? Charlie won’t leave until she knows for certain.
Salem’s history might be coming back to haunt those who venture into the city and it’s up to the Legacy Foundation to figure out why … that is if they survive long enough to uncover the answers.
Hold onto your broomsticks, because it’s going to be a witchy ride.

Another great book in the series
Charlie and her group are in Salem investigating possible banshees. She also is looking for her birth mom. Some things are answered about her birth family and some is still left open for the next books. Plenty of snark and love when the group gets together.
Keeps Getting Better!
The Charlie Rhodes books just keep getting better and better! In this installment we get to learn more about Charlie’s birth family. We also get to see Amanda’s spin on the Salem Witch Trials. Great read! Couldn’t put it down!
Fantastic book
I live this entire series and at the end sad I have to wait d’or the next book. Charlie and Jack are great I love she’s getting stronger with her powers and the addition of new characters is very interesting. Hopefully the next book is coming soon.
Intrigue galore
Witches, banshees, ghosts, and Salem. What could possibly go wrong? Things are progressing, with the parent search, her growing power, and the bond with Jack. I loved all the historical references too. Anxiously waiting for the next one.
So hard to put down
What a great read!! I loved this story. Charlie is one of my favorite characters and she is finally learning some of her story. I found it hard to put the story down to get things done!! Can't wait to see where it goes from here.
Still loving Charlie Rhodes
Love the Salem setting. I’ve never been but it seems to be a beautiful place to visit. Love the inclusion of both the classic and the cheesy. I’m glad she’s getting some closure on her family drama and that she’s still covert.
Love this Series
I love this series and getting to know the leading characters past is fascinating. The mystery interwoven with learning about the leading character’s family made for an interesting read. I enjoyed the humor and romance too.
Really getting interesting...
I wasn't sure I would enjoy a story about Salem - I'm from near there, but I was wrong. The story was excellent and interesting. Can't wait for the next book and the development of the relationships in Charlie's family.
Couldn't stop reading
This series as are all this authors are such entertaining reads.The characters are worth getting to know because anyone would want to be friends with them. The stories are well written you don't want to put the book down.
Love this series
I love Salem and the witch trials as the backdrop for this book. I also enjoy how Charlie's conflict towards her real family is playing out. Read the books in order to understand all the references to people and events. Great series and author.

I love Charlie and Jack and Millie, they are so much fun and every book is a guaranteed adventure. It has a mix of humor, mystery, romance and paranormal.

Team heads to Salem to look in to banshees. If you already like Amanda's work, you'll love this book too! Can't wait for more of Charlie!
