Whitman's are the strongest for holding onto the coins, and here's how I get them in.

Here is the best advice I can give anyone who collects coins and has problems getting the coins in the books. I use the bottom of a bottle opener with a closed top. You can put force onto the coins that pops them right in. It works with all my coin folders, 20+ from 3 different companies. Whitman's are the strongest.

A compact and inexpensive way to organize your coins

I bought the entire collection of these folders that is available at the moment. They all arrived within a day of each other, as expected. New users may think they seem small but they are a very compact and inexpensive way to keep your coins organized. A great tool for the beginner or the experienced coin collector. Be sure to lay the binder on a flat, hard surface like a desk or kitchen counter when entering your coins and you should have no problems.

Holes are to small

I brought two of these dime folders but will not purchase anymore of the dime slots. The folder is nice but what good is it if the dimes do not fit. OMG it took more energy to try to fit each dime and most of them are still edged up. I do not recommend this produce/brand

Roosevelt dimw collector album.

Just what my dad wanted. He couldn't be happier. Going to get thr penny and nickel albums as well for him.

an update from an old Whitman folder

the old folder. probably 40 years old, was falling apart, so I upgraded where one could see the observe, and reverse of the coins - collected out of change over the last 60 years. fits the bill nicely.

Gotta love these Whitman books

These Whitman books are great! It's not often that I find an older dime but when I do, it has a designated slot to call home. In this case, the user must be smarter than the product! Yes, the backing of the slots is flimsy… so just insert the coin into the slot while the book rests on a hard surface like a kitchen counter or desk. DO NOT try an insert a coin on carpet or another 'cushy' surface - it will puncture the backing! If used correctly, this book is the perfect way to keep your dimes organized!

nice

These books are a great way to organize coins. I have a few different "brands" of these books and they are all the same. Sometimes the coins go in nicely and sometimes it's a pain.

Only purchase if you plan on putting the dimes in “ONE” time to never be removed and stored.

This folder is not what I expected at all.Once the dimes are placed you might have to rearrange a few for trading or showing etc...You literally have to bend the folder In half to get a dime out and if you do it a few times the folder is pointless. Its all bent and the coin inserts are all out of wack to big to small etc...

Great quality and price!

I've bought many Whitman folders. I've never had any problems with any of them. They're all high-quality for a low price. They hold coins snugly without them popping out and you can also remove coins if you wish to replace them. I recommend using a pen-point and a dish towel to push the coins in. You use the towel as a cover to avoid scratching the coin and the pen point as leverage to push the coin in easily. All that's left is to find some silver dimes to fill up this folder!

Whitman Coin Folders

The following review is applicable to both the Whitman dime and quarter coin folders. They are attractive and look good. However, as others have complained, it is nearly impossible to insert a coin into a slot unless the coin is well worn. Mere thumb pressure won't do it. Either the Chinese dies have worn or the specifications are off. I tried to solve the problem by lightly sanding the inside of the hole. I glued a piece of 120 grit to the end of a 3/8 inch wooden dowel and ran it around the inside of the hole a few times. It helped but didn't solve the problem. It still required a tool to help press the coin into the slot. A punch press would work but isn't available to most users. I used a homemade tool, which I won't describe here because there is risk of damaging a coin. You will have to devise your own. Or, you could try another brand of coin folder. The Whitman coin folder is one I remember fondly from my youth. It's a shame they don't seem to work anymore.

Great

The folders are as described. Only wish it was full of mint quality dimes. LOL Really cant go wrong with these if these are the dime years you need. As long as you know what you want - you will be happy with these folders.

Great for collectors

What I needed , year wise. Easy to use and neat.

Thank you. It works great. Yvette

Coin holder

I lie the folder ,hard to get coins in,

Whitman coin holders

I've always liked this product. It's a nice traditional way to organize your coins. Sometimes a little force is required to seat the coins but if you use something hard but not abrasive, it works. Also, this is a product that makes it easy to see what you are missing, so it becomes a challenge to fill in the empty slots. It's also durable so you can pass it along to children many years from now and it will still be functional.

Not the best for coin collecting. Cannot view both sides of coins.

Works great.

Nice way to keep your collection in one place.

Duplicate page

Excellent just like all other Whitman albums... Whitman put in the right number of pages, but one is a duplicate though. I've got slots for all coins in the series, but one page has the wrong dates. Only album I've got from Whitman that is this way, and it's nothing more than a bother. Still pleased!

Good quality

Good quality

great item!

good holder

Arrived quickly, but slightly damaged

Most of the time when I order coin folders, they come in hard cardboard mailers, so I don't worry. This folder came in a oversized padded envelope and when I opened it, the bottom of the folder was damaged. This is the first time this has happened, and otherwise I'm happy. The folder is still usable.

The top paper, between above and below the mylar slide is too thin, it should be a thicker stock to keep it from tearing easily. I handle my albums with the upmost care but if your finger slides off the mylar you can easily tear the cover paper.

Folder

Awsome folder

Roosevelt Dimes Folder 1946-1964

Pleased with the book.

roosevelt dime folder great dim e holder

I really like the whitman folders over the other brand green ones the whitmans are so much easier to get the coins into and the coins actually stay in them unlike the competitions. I'm actually gonna start replacing my green ones with the blue whitman folders on all my coin books plus you get the info at the bottom under each coin on how many coins each year was produced.

Love these books!

Love these books!

Not a good folder

I was very dissapointed with how cheaply made this folder is. The holes for the coins are much to small, and when you apply pressure to insert the coins, you end up tearing through the folder. The Whitman folders I purchased years ago are much better than these. I suggest you look for other coin folders. The printing on the cover looks very cheap and is not up to the old Whitman standards either.

Works well

Just what I expected

Good Coin Holder

Another nice quality coin book, these work well and do the job for me. Hold coins firmly.

Still works

Still a good product and an old favorite. The coin spots are and always have been a bit tight but they certainly won't fall out. This book is very handy and nice for all ages.
