Another great story and characters from Amanda M Lee. This book has everything I expect - adventure, mystery, family, friends, and romance. Scout is getting answers about her past and her powers, and even to questions she didn’t know she had! She has the family she’s made and those around her are there to help her along her journey. There is more adventure to come and answers to find - looking forward to the next chapter!

Scout is finally looking into her family to find out what she truly is. She finds out more at the old farm. Her sister is still a pain. there is alot in this book . Scout and Gunner have there cute bickering . His dad has claimed Merlin his first grandson . There is the deaths to solve also. This is one of great ones of the series, and I can't wait til the next one .

Scout is getting her answers to who she is and finding out what happened to Evan. I so enjoy Graham and snarky come backs. He is turning into a fun guy That likes to torture mostly Gunner and now Scout. I can't wait until the next book, curious to see where they land next.

Scout has her hands full. The vampires and shifters want to get rid of her. She’s not going anywhere. She has a lot to remember and only a short time to get it. The fact that her partner has returned is show stopper but she will get where and who she needs to be, we all hope.

Love this series, cannot wait til the spells angels meet the Winchesters. It would be great if all the main characters in the books fought one big war together. All the snark an romances would be fun. This series is great with the snark mouthy people.

Ms. Lee has yet again followed the path of the series, and this time has definitely incorporated more of Spells Angels into the story. This one doesn’t have as many laughs but the trade off was more answers. Most assuredly worth the read!

Slow to start,too much unnecessary side stories - but once back onto the main characters its was incredible. . Another piece of a rather strange and wonderful puzzle.

This book series is fast becoming one of my favorites. I love the strong lead character. Scout has to face her past and must figure out what she is in order to save the day.

The plot for each story is always so good...so 5 Stars. But minus 3 Stars because most conversations contain whining, bickering, and/or immaturity. Often all three. It’s the same complaint with every series...I love the world these characters inhabit, but the main characters are just awful. There’s no personality growth, just power and skill growth.

This is an entertaining urban fantasy supernatural cozy mystery series. A great cast of characters and a fun and entertaining storyline. The story is based in this authors magical world of multiple different book series. Our main character scout used to work in Detroit until her partner was killed during an investigation of a vampire nest. After it happened she tried to keep working but eventually decided she needs to change. She transferred to a smaller unit in a small town in northern Michigan. Their job is hunting down supernatural creatures that are out for evil and up to no good. Follow along in the adventures of saving the world or saving the town and hunting down supernatural evil doers. On occasion the different series have crossovers and meet characters from some of the authors other books in this world. On occasion they will go to the towns of some of these other books and interact with some of the side characters as well. Very entertaining and you will not be disappointed. A bit of Snark and humor is good for the soul. Check it out

Scout is an interestingly strong heroine. Very competent and powerful ,with that tragic, murky past that makes her multi-dimensional. Gunner has just enough strength, ego and painful memories to match well with her. Of course, they’re both good people, because, eww, who wants a lead who isn’t? I don’t want to tell the story, but expect wolves in danger (with a rather unaware, blustering leader), the usual spats between Gunner and his father (and you won’t believe what Gunner’s Dad is advocating for), some serious sibling rivalry, and, not sure if I have this right, more info on the star children. I see some possible meetups with people from the Mystic Caravan series, or maybe someone like Aisling, or the gatekeepers. Oh, so many possibilities. Yep, this was a fascinating one, as usual. And now I’ll just have to skip through her many series looking for the newest book, and piecing together possible interactions.

Talk about a regret & a blast from the past colliding into on huge ball of disaster now mix that with a family that abandoned you as a child showing up. Scout has been searching for answers her entire life. She has found her sister & grandfather but still has difficulty excepting her past along with all her memories. Then, he showed up, she thought he was dead, she has been carrying that guilt for years but now it's time to accept the past & eliminate a danger for the future. I could not put it down, I've been so curious as to what Scout is but I would've never guessed. Waiting anxiously for the next Crone story.

I have enjoyed all of the series’ written by Amanda M Lee that I have read. She writes funny, strong female characters. In this series Scout is dealing with a lot of baggage and this book address it all. I enjoy the characters but I think the author needs to keep better notes about the characters. There have been a few mistakes in this book and the previous one that are irritating. I imagine having so many people living in your head can get confusing. All in all great series.

While I continue to love these characters, I am really turned off by how hard the last book thin this series and a few of the others are pushing crossovers. I haven’t read the covenant college ones or followed those characters because they don’t Interest me, but I felt like I was missing out on a huge chunk of this book, as well as several others recently in different series because I don’t read those. I will continue to read her books and just hope we can get back to our regularly scheduled characters soon.

I don't know about this book and the series. I suppose that we could only go along for so long with the "poor me ... I don't know my past" storyline, but there was really a whole lot of info thrown together into the book. I haven't really formed any real fondness for any of these characters. So, for me, the stories are okay, but not particularly enthralling. I've started wondering about the whole motorcycle gang thing. Why?

I am glad that Scout is finally getting her memory back. In the 1st book I believe I read that the Detroit office had them draw straws to see who was going to Hawthorn Hollow and Scout lost, didn’t want to go, but in this book it stated she wanted to move. I hope I’m mistaken otherwise someone has to do better at proof reading or plot outlines. I enjoyed the story anyway and look forward to the next installment.

The only reason to read this book is because maybe the next one will be better. The enemy is who I expected it to be; how the book ended leads me to think the next book will have him not an enemy. The last two books contained contradictions: Whether Scout could identify born vs bitten vampires, and whether she volunteered to be transferred or lost drawing straws.

Picking up shortly after the Winters' family left, Scout and the Spell's Angels crew are once again neck deep in a paranormal situation, and Scout's distant and not-so-distant past are definitely at the center of it all. This was a thrilling addition to the series, and we learn a bit more about Scout's past. I absolutely cannot wait until the next book.

This series just keeps improving! I really enjoy the intricacies of the ongoing story while being satisfied with the conclusion of each book’s specific issue. I liked the increased interaction of Graham and his teasing. Multiple hints of where the story could go and possible future crossovers. Looking forward to it.

He's back. Scout thought he died in Detroit, but he was turned instead. Because of his witch blood he turns into an uber-vampire. Then she, Gunner and Graham have to start working with the local shifters. The author is explaining the shifter rules , and we learn more about Scout and her past.

With the new book coming out I have gone back and reread the series to refresh my memory and they were as great as the first time! And I just figured out that Stout and Poet meet in a home together, will we possibly see a reunion in a crossover? I extremely hope so. Thanks for all your books and series keep them coming and look forward to more crossovers between series.

I have never read a book by this author that was not fantastic. This series is no exception. each book in the series answers some questions but you are hooked and want to know where the future will take these wonderful characters. My advice to any reader of paranormal, these books are a must read.

In this book Scout finally gets answers to her past and what it means for her. There are hints at what will be coming in the future and I can't wait. Love the snark and also the closeness of the Spells Angels group. Had a hard time putting this book down until I finished it.

I really enjoy reading this series and I hope this one continues for a good while. This time around Scout and Gunner are facing a tough time, but Scout may finally get some answers about her past along with old friends showing back up in her life. It's going to be a bumpy ride.

Scout will need all the help she can get from the Spell's Angels and more help from some unlikely sources. Buckle up and get ready for an adventure you won't soon forget.

I won't ruin it but there is plenty of action and romance with humor. Chosen and unchosen family members make life messy, and they also make life worth living. This book was fantastic. Worth the wait. Excited to see how the revealed info plays out across the other series.

For personal reasons I haven’t been able to enjoy reading lately, I just couldn’t focus or seem to enjoy anything. But this book changed that, I read it in just a few hours, losing myself in the amazing story. You can’t help, but love the characters and be engaged

I like that we get some answers to the questions that Scout has has for many years. The twist at the end is interesting. I can’t wait to see what Amanda does with it. It’s a good book. If you are a fan of the series than you will love the book.

I am enjoying this series! We finally find out what Scout is and a few other surprises. Like her other series however, the author has the lead couple hash out their relationship a bit too much for me. Other than that, great continuing story.

I have been enjoying this series a lot. You can really sense that Scout fits into Amanda M. Lee's universe, but she might not even know it yet. I am very eager to see her interact with some other series! A big mystery about Scout's origins is solved, and her path is getting clearer. The normal snark and sharp dialogue that is Lee's hallmark is as good as ever!

I cannot believe I read this book so fast! I LOVE this series and am excited for Scout to continue to learn who she is. Gunner understands that she needs to work through things on her own and doesn't smother her like he wants to.

This book in the series was more indepth and delivered what Scout needed to become more confident and trusted by others including the shifters. I hope the next book brings all the others before into line and makes it all bloom with power.

If you haven't read this series, start at the beginning in order to get an understanding of the players.

I highly recommend all of Lee's books and series. They are always intriguing, fun, and the characters are endearing. Enjoy!

Congratulations to me as the reader. I do think having Zoe, Aric, and Sami in the previous installment boosted author Amanda M. Lee's humor, snark, and cheeky sarcasm. However, she did provide more of that tongue and cheek sass this go around. We finally know Scouts real name and what she is. We just still don't know what the major p!at is. Unfortunately, I have to wait until book 6 releases to get anymore I formation.

I find it difficult to leave reviews because for me if I don't get interested in a story a few chapters in then I don't read anymore of it. I'm not even going to bother saying I didn't like it. So I can honestly say I truly absolutely love all of Amanda's books or I wouldn't be reading them. Do yourself a favor & pick up one of hers, you won't be disappointed.

I absolutely love Amanda's books. She is an amazing story teller and can weave a story that draws you from the start. This book was such a turning point for Scout and I can't wait to see how her story progresses.
