Simple and Comprehensive
I bought the Rick Steves London 2020 Travel Guide for my sons who planned a trip to London and Paris in December 2019. I have always watched Rick Steves' travel series, so I immediately turned to his guidebook as a resource for my sons who were convinced that everything they needed was online. When I received the travel guide for London (and the smaller guide for Paris) I was pleased with the simple format of the information, the timeliness of the information, and the comprehensiveness of the topics covered. From maps to money to common phrases, Rick Steves' travel guides eased my mind as I handed them to my son to pack and to read on the plane. To be honest, one son said he referenced them and they were helpful. My younger son said that he didn't really use the guide. As a parent, I had piece of mind that my children had access to good information. I also know that if I'm lucky enough to get to London, I will definitely ask for the guide before I leave. I found Rick Steve's printed material as helpful and easy to follow as his television series. Good quality, good value: I was impressed and satisfied with my purchase.
Best travel guide for first-time visitors to London
I have been using Rick Steves travel guides since 2004 and they are always the most informative, especially for first-time travelers but also for those who have been to a location several times. The maps and explanations are top notch and Rick has a built-in sense for what travelers should do and what they should avoid. My highest recommendation.
Great Resource
Rick Steves' Travel Guides are terrific resources to learn all about the place you plan to visit. We will be in London for a few days in June and have already been able to map out exactly what we want to see and how to get to the various places. Highly recommend.

The best little secret in this book is finding how to rent a flat in London. Hotels are so expensive. Londonconnection.com is great!

The usual great information
I like this Rick Steves London 2020 very much. The problem for me is the pages are super thin and papery. Go back to your previous pages Rick....thicker. I would have bought the 2019 guide if it was available. In all, I'm a huge Rick fan. Great book
