Boardinghouse owner Dixie Pottinger has done her best to avoid the attractive Dr. Griffin. But now that her mother-in-law is sick and he’s going to be coming around more to care for her, Dixie knows she must inform him about her past. She works up her courage and feels great relief when she finally tells Dr. Griffin that she’s a married woman…maybe…if her husband, Steven Pottinger, survived the bullet put into him before she fled.
Dr. Flynn Griffin can’t believe he’s been having feelings for a married woman! His honor requires that he immediately put those feelings to rest. As for the man who had abused Dixie so badly that she retreated into hiding… If he was still alive, he better never show up in Wyldhaven, because Flynn had plenty of ideas on how to teach the man lessons in gentlemanly conduct.
Little does Flynn know that Steven Pottinger is about to become his patient. Gravely injured by an accidental gunshot, Steven lies on the brink of eternity. Never in all his life has Flynn been tempted to break his Hippocratic Oath.
Until now.
Take the next stagecoach to Wyldhaven,
where the coffee's perked hot,
the sheriff likes his apple pie fresh from the oven,
and adventure invariably waits just around the next river bend.

Be The Eagle
When have you ever read a book where you get to know everybody's thoughts, decisions, and growth. I was 3/4 of the way through the book before I realized the gift the author gave me. Multiple people got to tell their piece of the story. Yet it was still amazingly uncluttered as the pieces moved together at a nice pace. Some didn't tell how they felt, like Kin. He just lives in the moment and you get to see where he hopes life to take him by his boyish actions and simple expressions of trust. Do you want to learn there's a freedom to make decisions that can change your past and future? Everyone, even the self centered Belle, proves that those decisions can change moment to moment if you listen to the pull of family, love, and the calling of God. Five upturned stories in one novel: I've never been so pleased an author presented on Kindle Unlimited. Now that I've reflected - I think I'll see if I can purchase it too! Thank you Lynnette for helping me walk a better way, (and maybe fly). I appreciated the steadfastness of Doctor Flynn and Zoe, the braveness of Liora and Dixie, the kindness of Joe and Washington, and can't wait to learn more about the quiet preacher...
The characters live on!
This second book in the Wyldhaven series was such a treat because all the townsfolk from the first book continued on in this one. It's a unique way of highlighting certain people, but allowing me to get to know other characters even better. I've fallen in love with the entire community and feel like it's more of an ongoing TV series rather than single books. I'm really happy I discovered Lynnette Bonner and just ordered books 3 and 4. Can't wait to check out her other series when this one is done.
Amazing Series!
I love this series! I am new to Lynnette Bonners writing and I am amazed at the quality, the integrity and the inspiration that she puts into her works. On Eagles' Wings is an incredibly moving story of pain and healing, fear and faith, and love and renewal. I was so moved by this story that I wrote down some of the passages to remember for later. I love how multi-faceted Mrs. Bonner's stories are, there are several stories happening at one time like real life. I look forward to reading all of the books in this series. They are absolutely addictive.
Captivating
Lynette writes stories that seen to flow seemlessly from one though it subject to the next. I love how she Incorporated many characters into her stories and shows us how each character intersects with many other characters, much like our own lives. The overall theme of this book is forgiveness. Forgiveness of others and of ourselves. You will not be disappointed with this second book in the Wyldhaven book series.
A worthy sequel
I was fortunate to get to read both Not a Sparrow Falls and On Eagles’ Wings back to back so it was more like a complete narrative rather than two separate books. It’s always great to get to see side characters from the first book take centre stage and I had loved both Dixie and the town doctor in equal measure and couldn’t wait to see their story unfold. Dixie is a complicated character with some pretty tough to resolve issues which made the story one you simply flew through just to see how on earth it was going to be resolved. Also was nice to have a slightly but not too heavy handed Christmas setting which played into the time of year for it’s release. Definitely a keeper and can’t wait to go back to Wyldhaven again.
What A Wonderful Series!
I'm absolutely loving this series! Secrets revealed, romance, danger, it has it all! I especially like how the women selflessly step up to do what is needed, even facing danger and the unknown. Ms. Bonner writes with such depth that we get to know the characters in the story and their thoughts and fears, making us feel a part of community that we care about. I highly recommend this book and this series.
Very enjoyable book!
Lynnette Bonner does it again. Characters that you'll love, and characters that you'll love to hate. We have Dixie, the owner of the boarding house who has her secrets about her past. And the doctor who's got his eye on Dixie, until he learns of her past. And when her past catches up to her, the story takes a whole new twist. Why is there a Marshall passing through? In Wyldhaven book 2, we also spend some time with a couple of the young people in town and enjoy the Christmas festival. Looking forward to reading book 3 when it comes out.
Great Book!
On Eagles Wings is the second book in the Wyldehaven series by Lynette Bonner. I enjoyed the book so much I found myself reading too fast and had to make myself slow down. The story continues with Dixie. It tells what her past is and explains the mystery that surrounded her in book one. When you think you have the plot line figured out things take a sudden twist and the reader is going dawn a different trail. All ends well but I hope this is not the last book in the series. It could end now and be ok. There are no real cliff hangers but I want to invest more time with these wonderful ćharacters. Thank you for a great book!
Excitement, danger, and Romance throughout this story attract the thrill-seeking reader
Dixie and Flynn have a somewhat predictable push pull relationship, but include interaction with nefarious and scandalous other characters. Evil intents and accidental crashes with unexpected tragedy add much interest to the story line. Highly recommended. Especially uplifting parts are Scriptural references and applicable, Biblical truths...
A doctor finds love with the first lady he meets.
Loved being with this author again. Flynn and Dixie story was full of compassion. His compassion was something Dixie needed. Dixie had a lot to work through. But Flynn was a big help. It was nice to see how Reagan and Charlotte story progressed. Looking forward to Joe and Liora story.

Lovely Christian Romance
What a stirring story as more than one person in Wynhaven much face difficult choices and decide what they will choose. God over revenge or escape? Acceptance instead of rejection and fear? I loved the primary romance as well as the ongoing story of the town's citizens.
And the story of Wyldhaven continues
Loved continuing to watch the new town of Wyldhaven grow. The characters come alive as trials abound. Through it all, their hope in God allows them to grow as their faith is tested. Thanks again for another beautiful story Ms. Bonner.
Loved It
I was drawn into Dixie and Flynn's story right away. I hated having to put it down at night, as l was so engrossed in their story. I am so glad I bought this book. I am excited to read any other book in this series.
forgiveness is never easy
the real world of pain and suffering blended with folks of faith seeking their way makes this a Very Contemporary story. Fast paced, very well written. the author paints great pictures with her words
Don't figure on being bored with this story
Since I am a bit familiar with the countryside of Cle Elum, WA, this tale allowed me to feel like I was right there, holding my breath when a less-than-normal leech tried to take control of something or rather someone, whom he should have left alone. I managed to sleep a few hours between reading sessions and even got a little work done, but not much. Just had to find out what happened to some fascinating characters.
Faith, Hope and Love
A moving story exploring different parent/child relationships and doing your job while keeping your faith. Add a new teacher in town to get things organized! Well done!
Awesome
The story is filled with hurt, love and forgiveness. God is a great part in this book also, that pleases me very much. I love books that include our love of God and country.
A wonderful, engaging story with well-developed characters.
Although this is the second book in the Wyldhaven series, this my first from writer Lynnette Bonner. I found the book captured my attention from page one and kept me engaged to the very last page.
On eagles wings
A very delightful book. Easy to read and with interesting people. I enjoyed this story very much. Thank you for a pleasant book
Was she Mrs or widow?
She came with her mother, and opened a boarding house. She was upstanding in the community. A US Marshall queries!
How heartache can lead to a love match for ever.
This is one well written book that I dearly love reading. The storyline was marvelous with a wonderful plot about forgiveness that played beautifully. The characters were fantasy and very interesting. This book was a page turner.
Working, caring, loving
I read book 1 & 2 loved them both and hope there is a book 3. Lynnette Bonner brings a spiritual depth to the characters in their ups and downs of life. Challenges can bring joy. I would recommend her books to anyone.
Good book
This book was much better than the first one! I enjoyed the characters and their storyline so much more. I really hope there is a 3rd book, I would love to find out more about the Marshal and the Parson.
On Eagles' Wings
This is a remarkable story of forgiveness. This little town in Washington is enchanting with wonderful characters that you will love.
Sooo good
Can’t wait for the next one!
I loved this book and Not a Sparrow Falls
I loved this book and Not a Sparrow Falls, too. I certainly hope there is another books, because I am not done with these guys!
Review
Lynette is an amazing writer! She makes it very hard to go to sleep at night because her stories are so captivating!
4.66 stars: On Eagles' Wings by Lynnette Bonner
Dixie enjoys running her boardinghouse, but life gets complicated fast when Ma falls ill and the secrets she's been keeping catch up to her, and she needs help more than ever, especially from Flynn, the local doctor. Notes from June 2019: Plot and Setting: 4.2 -- While most of the plot focuses on Dixie, her abusive husband Steven, and her current relationships in Wyldhaven, we also get glimpses into what's going on with Charlotte, Reagan, Liora, Joe, and the other characters who were introduced in the first book. I enjoyed this aspect, though I do wonder how well this would be understood if read on its own. I appreciate how the subplots weave together, but the timeline was confusing/problematic in a few spots. Characters: 5 -- Rich characterization. We are shown the complexities of a whole cast of realistic characters -- good, bad, and in between. Mechanics and Writing: 4.3 -- Good writing. The choice to use multiple POVs could have muddled the story, but instead it enriches it. Scattered word and punctuation errors, though most don't seriously hinder understanding. Redeeming Value: 4.8 -- Without dwelling overly on the darkness, we do hear about some rather horrible domestic violence -- and see Dixie struggling to trust God and act honorably in the aftermath. Kincaid also experiences abuse at home, which results in him making some poor choices. Liora is still negotiating a damaged reputation from her brief stint as a prostitute, but her growing faith in God is beautiful. Loved the powerful, important conversations between Dixie and Pastor Clay that got her back on track with her life and faith. Personal Enjoyment: 5
On Eagle's Wings
Hope, Trust, Forgiveness. This story was a rich tapestry of lives woven together to share the truth that when we wait upon the Lord, He will renew our strength and we will rise on the wings of an eagle. There were many of the townspeople of Wyldhaven who were featured in this book. Their stories intertwined with one another, and no one person’s life was without impact on the others. It is for that reason that I show the many age ranges for the main character’s ages. Despite the large cast of characters, I didn’t feel like I needed a “who’s who” page. Each was memorable enough that I was able to keep track of them all. Dixie was broken by her abusive husband and had turned her back on her faith in God and found it hard to trust in men. The story is mostly her story. The author did such a great job of working through her emotions when her husband showed up two years after she escaped him, in a position of weakness, and the temptation to take revenge into her own hands. On Eagle’s Wings is a moving story that touched my heart. I’m looking forward to following the lives of the citizens of Wyldhaven in future books. I think I am most anticipating reading more about Kin in future books. That young man captured my heart. This is the second book of the series, Wyldhaven. I have not read the first book (yet). The series was clearly designed to have each book build upon the previous one, and yet this book could stand alone. My recommendation, though, is that you read each book of the series in order.
Awesome characters
I almost read this book before reading book one. I’m glad I didn’t; this is definitely an extension of the first book. In fact, if I hadn’t read the synopsis I might have a hard time determining who the main characters are this time. I jumped to a conclusion at the end of book one, which turns out not to be the case – book two does not give any true closure to either book one or book two. There are many attraction here: Reagan to Charlotte, Flynn to Dixie, to Jacinda Callahan to Marshall Holloway, Joe to Liora (in book one it was Joe to Belle) as well as the teenagers. The main story here seems to be the struggle between truly allowing God control vs taking matters into our own hands. Dixie’s husband was a terrible abusive man. When the opportunity presents itself will Dixie or Flynn take justice into their own hands? Like book one, I loved the characters, but certainly would not want to live their difficult lives. And like book one, I love the faith aspect of the book. It’s a true faith that many of these characters have – not a ‘say a prayer only when I have a desperate need’ type faith that is portrayed in so many ‘Christian romance books.’ However, when it comes to the romance, I’m not sure what to think. The attractions seem to be a way to add interest while telling the story of Dixie, her abusive husband, what she and her mother-in-law did and the struggle between what might seem justified in man’s eyes vs what’s right in God’s eyes. After reading book one, I’m too leery to let myself come to any conclusions with the relationships here. There are still no definite outcomes to the relationships/attractions, but the book is well written and again worthy of 5 stars.
Historical Romance with suspense, wonderful characters and you might even have a few tears as you read this
Dixie has secrets that she's afraid to reveal. She takes care of a boarding house and her mother-in-law. The attraction from Dr. Griffin concerns her but despite herself she finds him in her thoughts. She does tell that she is married and they both fight the attraction. Things are harder when her mother-in-law becomes gravely ill and the doctor has to be around even more often. The thoughts that Dixie harbors for her husband are definitely not something she is proud of. To make matters worse there is a US Marshal asking questions about Dixie. Gravely injured in a stage coach accident her husband Steven, finds himself being treated by the doctor. He sees the looks that both Dixie and Flynn aren't aware of exchanging. His rage becomes even worse. When you harbor dark thoughts how do you ask God to guide you? She feels like she can't take this to God and feel the way she does. There are characters that you will truly enjoy, some suspense but the story line will keep your attention and you might even shed a tear or two. I received this from the author and asked to leave a review with my honest opinion. This is the first book that I've read by Lynnette Bonner but I'm looking forward to reading her next book in the series. You will love the other towns people. I finished the book in two sittings.
Review: On Eagles` Wings
On Eagles Wings is a western romance novel by author Lynnette Bonner. Dixie Pottinger has a secret. She is a married woman. Rose Pottinger and Dixie Pottinger are suspected of murder. A couple of chapters read and I was hooked. I had to find out how the murder case would turn out. Also, can a town that cherishes its prime logging season still take time to celebrate Christmas? My favorite quote from the novel is a scripture verse, “Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not be faint. (Pg # 100) This verse sums up this novel. The concept that the author wants the reader to come away with is that of forgiveness. This is book #2 in the Wyldhaven series. Even so, it can act as a stand-alone. This is an easy read at 312 pages with a few subplots that are also easy to follow. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by the author. The novel would make a great book club choice, with discussion questions at the back of the book. Disclaimer: I received this ebook complimentary the author and was under no obligation to post a positive review. The opinions expressed are my own.
Dixie and Flynn
Although this second book in the Wyldhaven series centers around Dixie and Flynn, characters from the first book and some new characters appear in the story of this frontier logging town. Just as in the first book, a bible verse is referenced throughout that becomes the focus for the struggle. The theme of forgiveness and hope show the strength of their faith. Dixie's struggle to wait on the Lord and the tension surrounding her problem were strong elements. This book continues updates on previous characters, and begins the direction for the next book in the series. Thankfully Liora has a much brighter future ahead.
Loved this book!
Angel Wings is a fantastic book! Lynnette Bonner is one of my favorite authors now and I’ve only read two of her books. I love Inspirational Historical Fiction and Lynnette added some suspense to the story. WOW! I couldn’t stop reading and I enjoyed every character and can’t wait to read the next book in the series. Forgiveness is is a key part of the story and facing hard times and the characters seeing no way out. God’s light began to shine with forgiveness. If you like adventure, suspense, danger, small town setting then this book is for you. I will be reading Angel Wings again! **I received a copy of this free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. I wasn't required to write a positive review, nor was I compensated in any other way. All opinions expressed are my own or those of my family.**
Sweet romance set in historical West
This is the first book I’ve read by the author and it was an enjoyable historical romance set in the late 1800s. This is the second book in the series and I didn’t read the first, so the multitude of characters in this book took some time to sort out. Once I did sort them out, though, it was easy to get into each of the couple’s story. The plot is well-planned out and the characters are richly detailed. Dixie’s terrifying past comes crashing through in this book and Flynn holds steady in his affections for her as the kind, thoughtful, and loving doctor in the logging town. Then there is Reagan, the sheriff of the town, and Charlotte, the school teacher, who cannot act on their mutual attraction because of the rules set down by the founder of the town. Joe, the deputy, feels such tenderness toward Liora but fears starting a relationship due to her sordid past and reputation. And then there is Reagan’s mom Mrs. Callahan and a US Marshal who sweeps through town. Throw in a few teenagers named Kin, Wash, and Zoe and a young preacher freshly arrived into town and you have a pretty neat backdrop for quite a few sweet romances. I received a copy of the book from the author. A favorable review was not required. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
We always have the one to trust in.
I really enjoyed this Historical Western Romance with suspense threaded through it. I received it for free and voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 5* rating. Not only was this a page turner, it had a lot of feels in it. When I think of our women rights, we have come a long way. We need to stand up for ourselves still but women did not always have choses when they were in a bad marriage. I'm thankful that we have some rights and avenues to go when there is a bad marriage. I'm also thankful for modern conveniences and medicines and the knowledge that goes with it for many things that killed our ancesters. This is a second in the series and I hope to get to the next soon. Nice job here.
Favorite Series!
Dixie and Rose were enjoying running their boardinghouse until Rose became ill. Along with her concern about Rose, Dixie is fraught with worry over a visiting marshal, and wondering what to do about her growing affections for the town doctor – Flynn. He has such a kind heart for everyone, but especially for Dixie, yet it seems unlikely they can overcome a major obstacle to their romance. Meanwhile, I was happy to get reacquainted with Charlotte and Reagan from Not a Sparrow Falls. They've just learned something that will interfere with their relationship and neither knows what to do about it – a cause for much concern! There are other romances brewing in the town of Wyldhaven and many characters who will earn a place in your heart. The villains, however, will make your blood run cold and keep you reading late into the night. I can't get enough of this series! I'll be watching for the next one ...
Excellent Story and Excellent Writing
If I said I liked this book I would be lying. I didn’t merely like the book; I loved it! From the beginning sentence until the very last word I was immersed in the story and the lives of the citizens of Wyldhaven. While the main focus of this book is Dixie Pottinger and Dr. Flynn Griffin, there are many other little side stories that let readers catch up with the townsfolk from the first book and meet new characters introduced in this one. I enjoyed each and every story and liked how they all tied in nicely with the main story and didn’t seem out of place. The relationship between Dixie and Dr. Flynn made my heart skip a beat from time to time and I was anxious to see if things would work out for them. I also enjoyed the continuing blossoming romance between Charlotte and Reagan from the first book. I really like the author’s writing style and how she takes the story from chapter to chapter in a way that makes the book hard to put down. The way the story fluctuates between characters keeps the story fresh and interesting. I love how she has created characters that are extremely easy to like and relate to and want more of. I’m hoping that there are many more books in the series so I can continue to visit and get to know these characters who seem so real. Her descriptions made me feel as if I were there and it was easy to visualize the struggles of the new town. This is a book that fans of historical fiction are sure to love. While this book stands completely on its own I would recommend reading the books in order. That way you can understand the characters better and you won’t miss out on a really good read. If you’ve never read a book by this author this would be a great introductory series. You won’t be disappointed. I received a free copy of this book and was not required to write a review. All opinions are mine.
Wonderful Piece of Historical Fiction
On Eagles’ Wings, by Lynnette Bonner, is the second book in the Wildhaven Series. Even though I have not yet read the first book in the series, upon beginning On Eagles’ Wings, I was quickly delighted by the characters and the setting. This book easily drew me in like a stand-alone-novel. What I enjoyed most about this book was the strong focus on community and the people that make a small town intriguingly vibrant and unforgettable. There were several characters to meet and to hold dear, each of them well-developed with individual storylines that contributed seamlessly to the overall plot of the novel. I also appreciated that Ms. Bonner incorporated difficult themes into this book without minimizing or trivializing them. The characters struggle through real, heart-wrenching trials that test their faith exceedingly. Yet, even as the struggles grow darker and more desperate, the light of God’s grace and mercy shines through with hope, forgiveness, and restoration. Ms. Bonner is a talented writer who has taken multiple threads of mystery, suspense, danger, courage, romance, faith, and redemption and has creatively woven each of them into an engaging story that entertains and inspires. Furthermore, with a winter setting and charming Christmas scenes, this is also a terrific book to savor during the holiday season. On Eagles’ Wings is a wonderful piece of historical fiction, and I eagerly recommend it. I received a copy of this novel from the author. A review was not required. The review I have written contains opinions that are entirely my own.
Loved It! Great follow up or stand alone read.
This was a fantastic story. It could stand alone, but I recommend reading the first book to really appreciate the characters and the town. It is a lovely book in its own right, but this book in my opinion is the superior one of the two. The characters are multidimensional and have struggles that are relatable, or in the least understandable in the situation. The parson’s advice and the biblical answers are real without being preachy or judgmental. It made me want to know more about the parson’s story, and other characters as well. There is so much depth to all of them. I hope there will be more in this series because the characters just get more interesting as the books go on. I like that the author switches to different perspectives/point-of-views, giving so many different angles to the same events. The book discusses forgiveness, hope, and dealing with the trials and tragedies of life from a Christian perspective and the serious questions people ask in these circumstances with different characters landing on the whole gamut of answers from losing faith in God to reconnecting with God as they grow and mature in their faith, among a variety of others. Great for a book club discussion, I would think. The author gives a list of questions for a book club to use that are thoughtful and useful even for the individual reader to think about. I cannot recommend this book enough. This would be great adapted to a TV series as well. There is a wealth of interesting characters waiting for their stories to be explored in this interesting town and time in American History.
Great storyline and characters
This books starts off with a jaw dropping revelation from Dixie when she shares a secret with Dr.Flynn Griffin, that ultimately tests their relationship and sets up a fantastic storyline. I have to confess to being sad and a bit shocked at some of the things that Dixie and her mother in law experienced at the hands of a person they loved. I loved the first book in the series and was so excited to reconnect with Charlotte and Regan. They are still my favorite characters by far. She's an energetic schoolteacher, he's the sheriff of the town that has had some problems and they are adorable together. They both have a wry humor that made me chuckle several times throughout both books. There are several returning characters from the first book that I have grown fond of, so I was very happy to catch up with them. Each one has something that I really like and I want to find out more about them. Ms. Bonner creates characters that are fun, hardworking, interesting, and kind. Then she places them in a town where friendships are strong and people genuinely care about each. I absolutely loved this book and am eagerly anticipating the next one in the series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
I laughed out loud!
I love the depth of the characters and their continued story in the book. I can't wait to read the next book in this series and see what the characters find themselves involved in. I laughed out loud at several things they said as they found themselves describing another character. I've found another favorite author, her use of scripture, Godly principles and discussion questions are a breath of fresh are and deeply needed and appreciated!
1800 LAWS FOR WOMEN
ON EAGLES WINGS. by Lynette Bonner. " Wyldhaven. Book 2 Dixie fleeing with her mother in law, unknown if her husband was alive yet or not. She was constantly thinking of him with hate, and finally having to tell. Flynn, of her past. Charlotte, the laws at that time 1800's when school teachers couldn't date. Reagan, didn't like it, nor did his mother. Though a person who carried a gun, should't think of marriage. A stranger comes into town setting some on edge, he thought he had finally tracked them down. He was a user, and thought nothing of killing to get his way. Revenge was the name of the game, no one walks away. A powerful look at time's in the 1800's of the laws for women. The laws by which men ruled, and ruled with a gun. Of how finally Dixie realized that she had to let go of the hate, and past. She had come thru the battle, and now soaring on Eagles wings. Powerful story, that is rich in detailed of how much some woman go thru. Readers will enjoy this gripping plot. Looking for the next.book. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
The series keeps getting better and better!
I literally could not put this book down. It was so fun to reconnect with the characters from the first book in the series. I beheld not only their characters, but also those of this book, grow in depth and vibrancy. All the subplots came to successful conclusions, with the loose ends tied all tied up, yet it left me wanting to begin the next book as soon as I finish this review. It wasn’t all just fluff either. The author brought in some heavy hitting topics like abuse, forgiveness, and God’s faithfulness, but instead of whitewashing them with platitudes, showed the healing that can come when we trust in God, even when we don’t understand our circumstances. My comment to the author: “Well done!”
Forgiveness!
I read the first book in this Wyldhaven Series and really enjoyed it so I knew I wanted to read the second book. I won’t give a summery of the book because you can read the blurb but I will tell you that the story has a theme of forgiveness. Lynnette Bonner describes the scenery of the town and her characters very well. She shows us the emotional side and sometimes the funny side of them. Did Dixie hate that she had to tell Dr. Griffin she was a married woman? Did Dixie hate that her husband showed up? Did the Doc wish he didn’t have to be the Doctor for Dixie’s husband? Dixie’s husband had been abusive to her and Dr. Griffin sure doesn’t like that, even if she is married to the man. Can they all have forgiveness in their heart as the Bible teaches? You will have to read this book to find the answers and more. This is an enjoyable clean historical romance I think you will like. I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the author but all opinions expressed are my own.
Loved it!
Book 2 in author Lynette Bonner’s Wyldhaven series was a real treat. This could be read as a standalone but I would suggest reading Book 1, Not A Sparrow Falls, because you will fall in love with the town of Wyldhaven and its inhabitants. Bonner did a great job of bringing her characters to life. I seriously want to visit Wyldhaven! The plot was really good and I hated to see the story end. With several “sub stories” woven though out, this book will keep your attention to the very end. A great story of forgiveness and redemption, I highly recommend On Eagles’ Wings for those who enjoy clean, historical fiction. I received a complimentary copy of this book but was not required to leave a review.
On Eagles Wings
On Eagles Wings ( Wyldhaven - Book 2 ) By: Lynnette Bonner On Eagles Wings is book two in Wyldhaven series by Lynnette Bonner. I really loved this story and the series. The characters were so real like . Ms. Bonner drew me in right at the start and I was hooked. Dixie runs a boarding house and caring for her mother-in-law who is very sick. She try to stay away from the handsome Doctor Griffin. Dixie is hiding a deep secret . The good doctor is drawn to Dixie , but what will he think of her after he finds out that she is a married woman , that is if her husband is still alive? I felt so sorry for Dixie and her mother-in-law . Ms. Bonner weaves a good , clean , historical christian romance and I am sure you will love it. I was given a complimentary copy of this book, but was not told that I had to give a positive review.
just when you think it can't get better, you turn the page! Must read!
On Eagles' Wings, Wyldhaven #2, is written by Lynnette Bonner. Wow, what a great read! This may be a #2 in the series, but it is very easily read as a standalone. My favorite character in this book is most definitely...Dr. Griffin AND Kin! Dr. Griffin was the ultimate great guy. He works so hard as a doctor mending anyone who comes his way...even the worst of the worst...and praying his way through the tough situations. Then...Kin...what a kid! <3 Have to read it to find out why! My most disliked character was Steven. I loved how Bonner showed how these very relatable characters fall hard with difficulties, struggles, and love and then, in the end, we see how Christ is the winner by being the rock the characters go to, flying on eagles wings and hearts full of love because of Him. I was given an ARC by the author. All thoughts and comments are my own.
Love comes out on top.
Bonner has written a winner in this second book about the newly formed town of Wyldhaven. There are several interesting stories in the book, but I would say the main character is Dixie who along with her mother owns the local boarding house. Actually this is her mother in law. The town knows Dixie as an unmarried woman, but when a U.S. Marshal comes to town seeking the where about of two female murderers, then the book gets really interesting. He hangs around to study the two women and who arrives on the scene but the "dead" husband. You will definitely keep turning the pages to see the outcome of this dilemma. Oh yes and the Marshal finds love in this little town, something he wasn't looking for.....I was gifted this book by the author but was under no obligation to leave a favorable review but happy to do so.
Great Historical Clean Romance
On Eagles' Wings by Lynnette Bonner is such a fun and inspiring book. The lesson of forgiveness is in the forefront of Book 2 of the Wyldhaven Series. There were passages and pages that left me in awe of the message I needed to hear. Dixie and Rose Pottinger own the boarding house in Wyldhaven. Even though they hadn't lived there very long, they were both well liked and upstanding citizens of the community. That is until word got out Rose is actually Dixie's mother-in-law, not her mother like everyone had been led to believe. And it seems like they also forgot to tell anyone Dixie's husband may or may not be dead, depending what the outcome was of the shooting that took place before they fled town. Dr. Flynn Griffin is the town doctor who has had his eye on Dixie since she arrived in town. No matter what he tried, she always pushed him away. He's very puzzled at this considering he knew she liked him. But when she told him she may (or may not) be a married woman, things began to make sense. After hearing her story, Flynn is so angry he'd like to kill Dixie's husband himself. Little does he know that Steven Pottinger is on his way to town to strike revenge on his wife and mother. Before he arrives, an accident occurs that places Steven as Flynn's patient. Oh my, how will things work out in this situation? Can God's forgiveness shine through to all involved? I really enjoyed reading more about the town of Wyldhaven. The story continues from Not a Sparrow Falls, book 1. It's really nice to go back and revisit places and people you've already read about. I highly recommend On Eagles' Wings, but be sure to start with Not a Sparrow Falls. You don't want to miss out on the first adventure. I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the author but all opinions and views are my own honest thoughts.
DELIGHTFUL SERIES
As you read this series, you will fall in love with Wyldhaven and all of its’ citizens. These are books where you are so engaged in the story you don’t want the book to end, but when it does, you feel like you have just spent time in the presence of Jesus. Probably because each book brings out living in truth and expressing the love of Christ in our daily walk. Wyldhaven is truly a delightful series!
Great story
Not everyone has been raised in ideal situations or married to perfect partners. Dixie had her share of heartache and disappointments. This story was filled with twists and turns and incorporated other characters whose flawed lives begin to find hope in new beginnings. I really enjoyed this story on so many levels.
Book 2 in the Wyldhaven Series
On Eagles' Wings by Lynnette Bonner is book two in the Wyldhaven series. Although it is part of a series, this book can definitely be read as a standalone novel, which is how I read it. Lynnette Bonner is a talented author with a great ability to quickly introduce characters and get right into the story. More than anything, I was quickly captivated with the setting and its distinct sense of time and place. You won't want to miss this story! I highly recommend it. I received a digital copy from the author. This is my honest opinion.
Lynnette Bonner is a wonderful Christian Romance author!!
I've read three of Lynnette Bonner's books, and I have to say that each one seems to be better than the one before. She writes such wholesome, heartwarming, loving, realistic books. They all make me feel GOOD. I also love the way she has a wonderful understanding of God's love and compassion for all of His creations.
These books minister
Heartfelt laughter or grief and a sense of community... These books remind us of what matters most...those around us! Seeing ourselves through God's eyes and seeking his will is a great goal of every christian, but these books remind us that it is the PEOPLE we touch and care for that matter most! I'm inspired to enlarge my community!
I enjoyed it so much I had to go back and ...
What a delightful story! I enjoyed it so much I had to go back and read the first book in the series. It was nice to meet some new friends and catch up on some old ones. I am looking forward to the next book to see what happens to the characters. This was a well written and edited book. It was a clean read, so no worries there. If you like a bit of mystery and romance you'll really like this story!(I was given a complimentary copy. No review was required and all opinions are my own)
Great book I received this book in a giveaway and ...
Great book I received this book in a giveaway and loved it! It drew me in from the beginning, and I could hardly put it down. It deals with the difficult issue of abused women. Dixie, the main character, along with her mother-in-law, Rose, have been horribly abused, but they draw closer to the Lord and learn to forgive. I loved the strong Christian truths throughout the book. I look forward to more books by this author and highly recommend the book.
Wonderful Sequel
Lynnette Bonner's second installment in the Wyldhaven series, On Eagles' Wings, was a great book! Getting reacquainted with the characters from the first book and seeing how they continue on with their stories was good. You also get to learn more about Dr. Griffin and the Pottingers who own the boarding house. Dixie finally tells Flynn that she is married or thinks she still is and that they cannot have a relationship except as friends. Danger, trials and temptations will be faced. A great book, I can't wait for the next book in this series. I received this book from the author for my review and honest opinion.
Eagles Wings
Again Lynette Bonner delivers her story with heart. Warning if you suffer from PTSD from domestic violence this may be a hard read. Saying that she does bring Dixie through the fears, revengeful feelings, paranoias and ultimately hope and healing in a very realistic way. As in her previous book in this series it is character rich and well written from multiple voices.
Historical romance and so much more!
Mrs. Bonner weaves the stories of many interesting characters into a great novel. It is a truly inspiring book . It is a stand alone book,in a series ,and I will be reading all the books in this series. This author will now be on my list of must reads!
A great suspense story.
on Eagles’ Wings is the kind of book that you start and don’t want to stop. I couldn’t help loving Dixie and Rose and pulling for them to come out on top. They went through so much. Just when things seem to settle down another problem emerges but through it all Dixie realizes that God is in control. There are so many l twists and turns throughout the book that I couldn’t stop until i finished it. This is definitely a five star book.
This One Is a Favorite
I’ve received an advance reader copy of this book and I did not receive any compensation or influence on the content of my review. Having said that, I have enjoyed all of Author Lynnette Bonner’s books, but this one is a favorite. I love the characters, the intrigue, the relationships, and the suspense. I had to remind myself to breathe while reading several scenes and even caught myself praying for the characters. Not to mention staying up past my bedtime. While all her books are well written, the characters in this one leap off the page and into your heart. Don’t miss this one!
Wonderful story
Dixie and Rose are truly amazing women. When Rose becomes ill Dixie and Flynn become closer. The characters in this book are all very special people. The author will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. You will feel God working throughout this whole book. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.
Engaging characters, with CLEAN, well-written and inspirational text. Recommended
Dixie deals with a painful past, while the man who admires her learns more of her plight. There are other hopeful relationships and family drama, with some satisfying outcomes. Worth the time to read and enjoy.
Love this book
I loved this book. And I am so happy it is a series. Very well written. I really enjoyed the way the Lord’s Love was woven into each person’s life. The good times and the hard times. Highly recommended
Great read
I enjoyed the first book but enjoyed this one even more! The characters seem real and likeable with issues that most can relate to. Woodhaven is a wonderful little frontier town and I'm anxious to get to the next book to watch it grow and see what other lessons it has to learn.
On Eagles' Wings
I thought this book was wonderful. I love how realistic the characters are. I can so relate to Dixie's fears of the unknown. I could not read this book fast enough to see what happened on the next page and at the same time, I couldn't read the book slow enough because I didn't want it to end!!!
I love the characters in this series
I love the characters in this series! They just come alive for the reader! Lynnette Bonner keeps you on the edge of your seat, just waiting to see what is going to happen next! I can't wait for the next book in the series! I was provided an ARC of this book for my honest review. But I love Lynnettes writing style so much, I buy her books anyway, so I can share them with others. I definitely recommend this series!
Captures your interest from the beginning
If even possible book 2 is even better then the first one...but don’t skip #1. If you like fast action, intrigue, romance and a great story you will love this one. Highly recommend it.
Engaging Story With Relatable Characters
The second book in her Wyldhaven series was as engaging and as filled with well-developed characters as the first. It moved along at a good clip with plenty of wit and humor. There is nothing like finding a good Christian author who weaves in God’s word as light unto our path, while creating a world that is great to escape into.
On Eagles Wings
This is the second book of the series in the town of Wyldhaven and is as good as the first. If you like western fiction you’ll like this story of love, redemption and grace.
Great depiction of our ancestors.
I enjoyed this book so much, I slowed down reading so as not to finish too soon. Dixie’s story was very thrilling and proof of satan’s presence throughout the ages. I was also intrigued by how Ms Bonner Ipresented the young people in her story. Zoe’s desire for “schooling” made me appreciate the priveledge that I took for granted in my youth.
Uplifting
It's so nice to be able to read fiction that is not only clean and inspirational, but also informative. I love the views of the old west that Lynnette presents so well. And the messages of God's love are the best part of all.
Wyldehaven makes this city girl want to live in a small town
Dixie is a hard-working Hotel and Diner owner, along with her mother-in-law, Rose. Dr. Flynn Griffin is especially drawn to Dixie and has made his pursuit of her clear. That is, right up until the day Dixie reveals that she might be a married woman, IF her husband is still alive. Now he has to navigate attraction to a woman whose husband does, in fact, arrive in Wyldehaven. And, Flynn has to doctor the weasel back to health! Dixie and Rose are terrified of their husband & son. They could be arrested if Marshall Zane Holloway is not able to prove their story of survival against this heinous man. Meanwhile, Charlotte, the school teacher whose story we learned of in book one in the Wyldehaven series, is up to her usual tricks of rallying the town for a Christmas celebration, stretching hard-working logging families into a closer-knit community. That, and the trick of enticing the local sheriff, Reagan Callahan, into admitting his true feelings for her. I still say Liora, who is getting a new reputation, has a story worth reading. I really hope to hear more of her and Joe in book three in series. On Eagle’s Wings is set in a 1891 pioneer town in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State. Enjoy this Historical Christmas clean Romance :)
Wonderful
I enjoyed reading On Eagles’ Wings (Wyldhaven Books 1 & 2). I am looking forward to reading more of your amazing stories. You are such a talented author. A must read.
Charm, hardship and forgiveness.
Charm, hardship and forgiveness—wrapped up in a satisfying story with rememberable characters. Some adventure reminiscent of Tom Sawyer, some life lessons, romance, and town planning. Enjoy! I hope there is more to come.
On Eagles’s Wings
Beautiful story with Christian overtones and suspense. Well written and researched. Enjoyable romance from the Old West that stirs the heart.

My kind of story!!
I was so excited to visit the citizens of Wyldhaven again especially when it was taking place during Christmas, I loved this story! Interesting from page one until the last page and the ending! Sure hoping there is a book 3! I was gifted a copy and my review is voluntary...
