When Jacinda Callahan lost her husband to an outlaw’s bullet years ago, she realized she simply couldn’t trust God to protect those she loves. So, though Marshal Zane Holloway has gently pushed his suit, she’s kept him at arm’s length. The last thing she needs is another man to worry about. But now the dratted marshal has been shot! He’s bleeding on her kitchen floor, and she realizes she might not have guarded her heart quite as well as she thought.
Zane has always sensed Jacinda’s underlying anxiety. That was the very reason he’d tried to hide this blasted bullet wound from her. But hang it if he isn’t all light-headed! And with a band of brigands on the loose! Right now, he doesn’t have the time or the strength to cosset her. She’s going to have to learn that the God who clothes the lilies, has a perfect plan for those in His care.
Jacinda is flooded with familiar fears as Zane rides off to confront the outlaws. Fears that turn to terror as day gives way to night and he still hasn’t returned. But this time she won’t stand by helplessly! Surely God’s perfect plan won’t be spoiled by a little help from her gun!
Take the next stagecoach to Wyldhaven,
where the coffee's perked hot,
the sheriff likes his apple pie fresh from the oven,
and adventure invariably waits just around the next river bend.

A good read
I liked learning more about the love between Zane and Jacinda. This novel answers the questions previously brought up in the preceding novels in this series about these two characters. I have read all of the previous works in this series and have enjoyed them. The novel explores the biblical theme of worry and reiterates that we need not worry, but trust in the Lord. Worry solves nothing and hinders our life. I found this novel a little preachy because the theme is brought up often. More than I felt was necessary. This novel is well written and the author writes in prose that paints thorough, clear pictures for the reader. I highly recommend this book to those that like a Christian novel with a stronger emphasis on the biblical lesson.
Excellent book with wonderful characters that allow God’s all knowing strength to guide them.
I have been looking forward to Consider the Lily’s by Lynette Bonner since her last book came out. I was not disappointed. The book is exciting at every turn. The characters in the book are believable and as the story advances they tell the message of God during the life challenges they face. The story is written as historical fiction set in a small town near the lumber yards in the west. The truth of learning to lean on God and trust Him, no mater what, during the hardest times in a persons life are very well written. I will never look at a lily in the same way. They toil not, neither do they weep!
Exciting story
Wow! This book was non-stop action from the first page. I laughed, and cried, and held my breath to see how the characters were going to get out of each predicament. I love that even in the midst of trouble, they are quick to pray and expect God's guidance and He leads them in divine ways. Jacinda's battle with worry is finally won and she regains her faith and the ability to trust God. I love this series and look forward to more stories about Wyldhaven.
Great book, great author!
It’s been a pleasure to follow this talented young author in her writing journey. Consider the Lilies was just what I needed this week. Fast paced story, great characters and as always, just the right amount of humor and happiness woven together. This has been a great series and you will want to read all of the books though they can be stand alone reads.
Believing in God only instead of the trails you are in He will get you through it.
This is a very well written book. The storyline was remarkable and thrilling with each turn of the page to the very end. All the people in this story whether they are the heroes or villains are fantastic and amazing all through this book. I love this book along with the others in this series Wyldhaven
Romantic
I can’t get enough of Lynnette’s books. So sweet and romantic. I think I have almost bought every single one!!! And always waiting for the next one to come out!
Love this series
This is the first time I have read anything from this author. Love her writing. Can't wait to read the rest. Great stories with Christian faith.
Don’t worry. Trust and be happy!
Filled with exciting escapades and quiet moments of reflection, this story holds your interest and keeps you hoping for more.
Why Worry
Widow Jacinda Callahan is an woman like many of us who worries about everything! She is afraid to love again because that may mean another loss. You will admire Marshal Zane Holloway who advises Jacinda to read her Bible, Luke 12:26-27, “If then you cannot do even a very little thing, why do you worry about other matters? 27“Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; but I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. " Zane remains strong in his faith through many injuries and hardships. I enjoyed Consider the Lilies and recommend this historical fiction to others. I received a complimentary ebook from the author. This is my honest opinion.
Our ways and God's ways are always the same.
I really enjoyed this Historic Western Romance. It's the 4th book in the Wyldhaven Series. I won this as part of a set of this series and I have really enjoyed them. I've given it a 5* rating. As with the others, it pulls you right in and keeps tugging you along to see what's going to happen next. There is a lot of violence. Not really for the under 18 readers. There seems to be plenty of bad guys and good guys to keep stirring things up. This series is best if you start from the beginning, and read in order so you can keep up with what happens to who. And poor Doc, he's worked a lot, just taking care of those affected by what's going on. I'm ready for the next in the series if I can get my hands on it.

Jacinda and Zane
This fourth book in the Wyldhaven series is filled with action, outlaws, and injuries. When Reagan and Charlotte leave for their month-long wedding tour, the problems begin before Jacinda and Zane even return to town. Reading like a wild west story, several in the town were kidnapped or hurt by the group of outlaws linking back to the first book in the series. With Reagan away, Zane and Joe, long with help from Washington and Kin, must protect the people and capture the outlaws. Zane reminds Jacinda that worrying shows lack of trust in God, and hopes she will 'consider the lilies' and be open to love again. The best scene was when Zane tells her not to trust in God's protection, but to trust in God alone. A good reminder for us all.
Awesome Book
My first book from these series but I wasn't lost in translation. All books can be read as a stand alone. I loved this book. It was just what I needed with its message of not worrying. I've had my moments and like Jac, I tend to overthink sometimes although it doesn't help in any way. This book was fast paced and held my attention from the start pulling me into this story of outlaws, gunfights love and learning to trust God wholeheartedly. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. All opinions expressed are mine
Historical Suspense With a Little Romance
I’ve received an advance reader copy of this book and I did not receive any compensation or influence on the content of my review. Having said that, I am always delighted to read another book by Author Lynnette Bonner and this one was as engaging as her others. Consider the Lilies brings the reader back to the wonderful characters of Wyldhaven with plenty of suspense with desperate outlaws, strong-willed women who refuse to stand by and be victims, and lawmen who’ve vowed to serve and protect all tied in with a beautiful message about faith. I didn’t want to put it down.
Another wonderful book in the Wyldhaven Series
This is a wonderful Historical that has it all; Romance, danger, a swoon worthy hero and some great lessons on worry and trusting God for the outcome in all our situations. Zane, the Marshall of Wyldhaven, loves Jacinda but due to losing her first husband she is afraid to give her heart to another man. Her journey back to trusting God through all the dangers that Zane has to face hunting a band of outlaws will keep you turning pages right to the end. And a very pleasing end it is. I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
Loved the entire series!
I am just thrilled with this series of Christian Romance novels! I very much enjoyed each of them. I have come to think of these women as my friends. I love them! I would highly recommend ever book in the series about Wyldhaven and look forward to reading more by this author!
All love is dangerous
But especially if the man is involved in law enforcement!! I really like that while it was Zane and Jac's story, other people in the town were involved. For instance, I foresee a formal relationship between Zoe and Wash.
A Page turner
This is a reluctant romance with lots of good guy and bad guy action. You might find yourself reading very quickly to find out what happens! I love this author’s writing style and love for the Lord!❤️
Good Book
Consider the Lilies was really a book to read. There was a lot of drama and suspense involved in the story. The author does such a good job creating these stories and make them seem so real.
Wonderful
I loved every page and every character of the entire series! Exciting western history. A wonderful story with Biblical solutions to timeless problems! I think I have a new favorite author.
Pacific NW Historical Romance at it’s best
Lots of twists and turns make this Louis l’Amour type western with a sweet romance a really fun read. A great addition to the series with lots of friends from previous books. Consider the Lilies can be read on its own with great plot, tension and lots of town folk you will love. Jacinda and Zane’s story was worth waiting for! Enjoy
Loved it!
Such a wonderful story on trusting God in all circumstances. It's often a hard thing to do. I love the characters, so real with real struggles. I can't wait to read the next book.
Excellent book!
Love this series and this most recent book makes it even better. The author has a wonderful way of bringing life to each character and making us laugh, cry, and cheer alongside them.
Lots of action
A story that keeps your attention from the very beginning with lots of drama and action....as well as laughter and a few tears. This series just gets better and better.
Enjoyable
Good plot set in a small town. A powerful change came upon a woman who had closed herself off from others due to her fear. It is lovely to see the change as she leaves behind her fear.
I love how they care about every one.
Every one needs a little help some times. These people really care about each member in their town. I wish more people cared as they do
