NIV, Beautiful Word Coloring Bible, Large Print, Leathersoft, Purple/Tan: Hundreds of Verses to Color

I'm new to journaling and ordered this Bible so I wouldn't have to create all the art. Pros - I like the soft cover. The font is readable. There's a good balance of pictures to color and blank margins. The pages are more white than cream. Blank margins are lined. Cons - The size - it will stay home on the kitchen counter as it's too big to take to church and sit on my lap as a note-taking Bible. I suppose that's the trade off for the larger print. My favorite markers so far are the Zig double tipped writers which don't bleed through the pages. PrismaColor pencils are also great. Don't waste your money on the Accu-Gel highlighters that pop up to buy with every journaling Bible.

First I was amazed at the shipping time. I ordered at 10:45 p.m. and it arrived at my doorstep 9:32 a.m. the following day, less than 12 hours after I purchased it! It comes in a hard box. The cover is soft; I love the purple in the front which extends to the back (see photos). The 10 point font is easy to read. For comparison, the bible was placed on my kitchen counter when I took the photos, not zoomed, so I can read it from that length. If the print is fuzzy, it's because I didn't focus. The sides of the pages looks like it's dusted in silver, perfect for someone like me who loves bling. Inside contains "hundreds" of pages for coloring; I'll just take their word for it. I showed a full page and one with just the sides. The margins that are empty of writing/picture have lines on them for notes. I also like that the paper is white vs. the cream color. When you see the two together, the cream pages just don't look as "neat" or "clean." I also showed a completed cover page with my attempt at using colored pencils. I see that the price has steadily increased. I forgot to pre-order, but I think it was less than $40 if I had done it. I paid $40.79, and I see it's now almost $44. Since this bible is NIV, the version I grew up with and am used to, and it's large print for these old eyes, I'm hoping this will be my last bible. Happy coloring!

I was torn by how to rate this. Its a wonderful idea and it really is a lovely Bible. But... I have tried several types of gell pens and my copic markers, and anything wet will pucker the pages and definitely shows on the other side. The only thing really that works well are my prismacolored pencils (the only brand of pencils I tried). So if you are a colored pencil user you'd likely give this 5 stars, and a pen or marker user would be quite frustrated. The book is heavy, but I expected that in a large print Bible with slightly thicker paper and lots of extra pages for coloring. Another issue is that if you color with gell pens, drying this paper takes 30 minutes or more before it is no longer tacky and dry enough to close the book. Ylu have to be very careful or your pages will be a smudged mess. All in all, I love the Bible, and the idea of a coloring Bible, but it is difficult to use this in that way.

I bought this for my friend since I love it so much! She loves it too! I love the fact that I can write my notes from my bible study on the side of the scriptures. The pages are a white/light cream unlike most other of the other journals I've seen at Book stores. Most of the others have a neon yellowish pages which hurts my eyes...even though some claim to be a "cream" color. This is the very best journal bible I have seen. I'm not into coloring ( yet), just writing my notes! Love, love, love it.

Every page has wide, lined margins, so in those that are blank, there is plenty of room for your own writings or artwork. The cover is beautifully embossed, soft and supple. A little heavy for church, but a pleasure to read at home and journal in.

Love this! Very beautiful book. Has room for notes on side. The twistable coloring pencils works great with it. It is a large size book but it’s perfect and everything I have wanted!

Opened the box and it was not a large print Bible it was regular sized print. The print was so small. The Bible is constructed Beautifully but if you are looking for a large print Bible to enjoy this is not the one. I'll have to give it away as, I'm not able to return it.

Love this bible. The only things I wish to have is the red letters for Jesus’ word. Otherwise this bible is perfect. It does required a XL sized bible cover, due to size of bible. Would recommend to others!

This leatherette NIV coloring bible has exceeded my expectations. The paper is high quality bible paper and is strong enough for coloring and journaling. Highly recommended!

It’s a pretty big Bible, the font size doesn’t seem to be large print but it is pretty decent. The pages do seem to be pretty thin, I haven’t tried coloring in them, but I’ll see how well the colors do. The cover is beautiful, good material, you are able to lay it flat it is very flexible. It makes for a perfect gift. Very beautiful. The pages come with some verses in big letters that you can color, it also has a side column where you can make notes. It is the “New international Version” so it will be easy to read and understand.

I purchased this because I’m a doodler and fidgeted and wanted a Bible that could occupy my fidgety hands during service. This Bible is beautiful. The most popular verses are ready to color in the margins, and there’s ample note taking space as well. I love this idea as I often take notes and the end up forgetting or losing the notebook. I also love that my notes will be in context. The only downside is this Bible is quite a bit bigger than a standard Bible (as pictured). It’s also pretty heavy. The font, even though it says large print, looks like the standard size in all my Bibles. The pages are thinner than I expected, you can see the pressure of the colored pencil on the other side of the paper. I doubt anything aside from pencils wouldn’t bleed. But if the pages were thicker it would be heavier, so we can’t have everything. Overall very happy with my purchase, would make a beautiful gift as well.

Love this Bible! I love that I can color, but the illustrations are not over the top. I want my Bible to be pretty, but to also be about being the Word of God. The cover is soft and the Bible is well made. Thicker pages than a normal Bible, but I’m still cautious to not color too aggressively. The word are definitely larger font, although not huge, and I love the paragraph format. If you need a cover, this cover by Shenaini is a perfect fit and really strong and well made. A perfect pair! My only critique is that I’d love to have some reference material in the back.

My mom loves it, but says she won't color in it. She plans to copy the image and color that. Then some day hand down the original Bible to grandkids or great grandkids.

I bought this about a week ago, and it's beautiful! So now I've been looking for a bible cover, case, or purse to carry it in and keep it safe. This bible is big though and has odd dimensions, so I was wondering if there is one that you (the sellar) recommends for it??? Thanks!

Something productive to do while off work for the next two months or more. So much room. for notes which is so important to me. It’s exactly what i wanted. Coloring is easy. I use colored pencils and archive pens for notes. They do not show through on other side. It’s a larger size so very easy to write in and color. I updated because someone wrote it is not easy to color. I found no problems with that at all. I love this Bible

Absolutely Beautiful!!

I like the cover of the Bible, however I was not impressed with the type of drawings on the pages. They are not pictures, only the verses. Some of the print is so small that the fine tip colored pencils go beyond the lines. The Inspire Bible is much more creative. So if you wanted more pictures to color, I wouldn't buy this.

This bible is pretty. It feels really good in your hands, buttery soft and i like that is only one column to a page. I don't consider this to be a large print. The pages are thin. The color goes through to the other side and I'm not crazy about the art work. I actually bought it for the large margins for note taking and doodling. The lines don't bother me because they are very light. I'll keep it, but the biggest con is the thin pages.

My daughter loves this bible. She had me sign it and is already reading it and coloring in the side bars (which correlate with the passages, not just silly graphics). She bought some special markers that wont bleed through the pages, which is something to consider. I am very impressed with the quality of this bible. It was a great purchase and I am very happy she is reading it. It is perfect for a keepsake. Highly recommended.

This is a nicely bound bible. The areas to color are all words with a few flowery additions, no actual pictures with which to be more creative. I had to return it as it’s so heavy that my elderly mom could not pick it up and carry it to the dining hall as she’d like to do.

This is EXACTLY what I had been looking for! After 3 purchases I didn't like, I finally found the one I wanted. Size is perfect so that your hand/wrist doesn't hang off while trying to color/journal (10.25"x8.25") Some of the verses are a bit small, I recommend getting fine liner colored pens for those areas. I also use twist up crayons in place of highlighters. I enjoy my daily time in His word. It's very relaxing and comforting. Get it!! Enjoy!

it's big and heavy. the artwork is NEUTRAL. my inspire Bible is all flowers and scrolly swirls. it's good for me. THIS Bible is great for artists, boys who like to draw and color, teenagers who may not be into flowers and flourishes. i bought as a gift so we'll see the result later

Its a big bible but I Love love love it!!! I added tabs to it and its even better .. this is going to be my bible for years to come!

i purchased this as a gift for a family member. it's beautiful well made with wide margins for journaling or drawing. pages are more suited for colored pencils, possibly gel pens, but not markers. there are several pages with pictures to color but almost every page has lined margins for journaling. Note: this is a good sized Bible, definantly not lightweight or compact.

If I would have seen this before buying, I would have NOT purchased it. I was very disappointed and feel like the description of the bible was very misleading. It is a bible - that is the best thing and nothing will ruin that, but it is NOT Large print as noted and for a journal bible, the paper is very thin. Completely missed expectations. I plan on reaching out to Zondervan to provide my feedback.

Such a beautiful bible to reflect and meditate on His words. The stock images do not do this product justice; it is much more mesmerising in person. High quality pages and binding as well. A must get for yourself or loved one.

Love this Bible!!! It allows for so many creativity, and peaceful meditation while just coloring the already printed things. So much room for additional journaling and drawings, etc. It is a heafty Bible, but lays open nice, and is soft & flexible.

I love everything about it. This Bible was given to me as a gift and from the minute I saw it I fell in love with it. The lettering size is perfect and the fact that you can make it your own by personally using your artistic talents is even more meaningful to me. It's perfect.

Love it. I like coloring. It helps me to study my bible verse. The pages are thicker than others bible, but still thin user soft color pencil because you can it though the pages if you color to dark and or hard.

I was torn between this and the NIV large print journaling bible. I couldn't decide between the two so had to order both to compare side by side. This bible is very pretty. Lots of art work to color. However... I opted to return it and keep the other bible for a few reasons, this was really a huge heavy bible (not so great for portability), some of the black line art work shows through the back side of pages enough for me to know it would be a bother to me when I was reading. I'd imagine color may show through depending on the medium used for coloring. The pages are very thin for a journaling bible I thought. Also some of the artwork takes up margin space which I would have preferred to have for actual note taking. If you are mainly getting this bible for the color and art aspect and you aren't concerned with the bible being very large, it would be a nice purchase. But my main focus was extra margin space for notes and with that being my priority this just didn't fit that need for me.

I really like this Bible. It seems to be very well constructed the pages are thicker than other Bibles. It does not have the large print of my other Bible but the print is bigger than your standard Bible I can read it with my bifocals.

I lovvvve this bible. Print is pretty normal for a bible and it is a bigger bible, but it is perfect. I love that I'll be more engaged with coloring the emphasized words on the sides. Plenty of space for writing as well. Hate that Jesus' words aren't in red...but the Bible is absolutely beautiful in every other way. Definitely worth the buy.

Beautiful and great if you like coloring. There just seemed to be more coloring in the New Testament and less space for notes.

I bought two of these. One for myself and a dear friend. We both love them. You do need an extra large book case with them.

I love everything about this bible. It took me forever to pick one because i wanted certain details such as the look, the feel, illustrations i could get creative with, sections for me to write my thoughts. This bible has all that. Love the purple and tan color that i chose. The Bible itself is flexible and not so stiff. Each book is easy to find. The Bible itself came with its own protective box which i really appreciate. When i want to store it on a shelf or travel with it, it will be protected from dust, accidental spills, or the hustle and bustle. I’m starting a new bible study with the book of Psalms in June and i can’t wait to dive in. 💛

Has wide margins, beautiful color pages, and best verses. The thick pages help it from soaking through.

I love it. However, it is bigger than I expected, my other leather soft Bible is (9"x6"). The coloring area is nice. The text size is normal, not large. The cover looks more purple than blue to me. The size of this Bible is huge (10"x8"x1.75"). If you are looking for a smaller Bible, this may be bigger than you want. In the end, I think I will keep it.

I bought this bible for my child for 2nd grade at her Christian private school. It is a great quality bible and I think it will hold up and she will be able to use it next year or more.

Large print in Bibles seems to be about regular size print in other books, so I was expecting that. The font is a definite improvement in readability over my first journaling Bible, which is difficult for me to read. So, the print size is five star for me. The secondary reason for me to purchase this Bible was the illustrations are mainly lettering, which is not easy for me. However, some of the illustrations seem to be improperly sized. Some seem too small for the space and a few others look chopped off. I have solved this by painting over with white gesso or acrylic paint and resizing the design. I also painted over the selected verse on pages that I had a different preferred verse. On most pages, two thin coats of white gesso cover the design well enough to paint over. The paper holds up well to watercolor washes without page prep. Light washes do not bleed or show through. My favorite quick method is to watercolor wash several double page sets scattered throughout the Bible, putting wax paper between each set. After this transparent layer dries, I can quickly color in block lettering with Crayola Twistables or gel pens. The paper holds up well to every medium I have tried. By trial and error, I find which products bleed through and which ones need gesso. I really like that the paper is soft white and not cream like my other journaling Bible.

This is a beautiful Bible, arrived within timeframe.
