This was Great!

i really really liked this. Its really accurate to the television episode too. It has good quality photos and dialogue. :D 4/5

Absolutely amazing!

The way the magna is drawn is great, it's not like all the other ones where all the characters have pointy chins and all basically look alike with few differences. Masashi Kishimoto creates a different image for each character. Not only that, but there are some pretty epic fight scenes through out the series.

Naruto

Waited for this product because it was out of stock but it still came in time and in great condition.

Te beginning of a bond.

Definitely one of the longer volumes of Naruto manga. I enjoyed seeing Naruto & Sasuke compete in this book.

Let's train. Let's fight.

"Naruto Vol. 3" continues the storyline from Vol. 2, with Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke and their teacher Kakashi defending the bridge-builder Tazuna from the assassination attempts of ninja-killer The Demon Zabuza and his companion, the beautiful but deadly Haku. After their brutal battle in Vol. 2, Kakashi sets the trio a stern task designed to strengthen their chakras and develop their ninja powers. Naruto, the weakest of the three, shows his strength of will as he struggles day and night to best Sasuke's accomplishments. This single-minded focus develop's Naruto's character as much as his chakras, as he slowly hardens and changes from the selfish blowhard of the first volumes. Along with this, he develops a relationship with a small boy from town, Inari, who learns what it means to be a hero. While this self-development is all good and well, the real story begins when Zabuza and Haku attack again, facing off against the stronger, re-grouped trio. However, the demon and his companion have been training as well, and Zabuza has learned the secret of Kakashi's "Sharingan Eye," and how to defeat it. Haku has secrets of his own, and Naruto and Sasuke are powerless against him. Vol. 3 is a change in tone for the series, a maturing if you will, as the young ninjas come face to face with their own mortality, and that the life of a ninja goes hand in hand with death. Even with the death of their own companions, as they are forced to discover.

Naruto, Vol. 3: Dreams. An Inside Look.

While they recover from their injuries, Kakashi puts Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura on a strict training regimen to protect Tazuna's family against Zabuza's and his dangerous new apprentice.

Spoiler-free Review

Naruto, Volume 3: Dreams begins with the three young ninjas, Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto, training their chakras. The master ninja has told them they must walk up trees without using their hands, by focusing their inner energy on the soles of their feet. The training doesn't last forever, and pretty soon the enemy from the previous book comes back, and they fight. The book ends in the middle of that fight. The artwork is decent, but not incredibly good. The strength in it is the author/artist's ability to show different facial expressions, funny when they have to be and dead serious when they have to be. The writing is spectacular, but what impressed me the most is how seamlessly the art and the story mesh together. Naruto is a lot of fun, and I've enjoyed all three books. Again, not for young kids. 13+ is recommended. ****1/2

More a review for the series

My brother introduced me to Naruto, and at first it seemed to be just another silly action/adventure. But as I continued reading, I realized that the story is much like Naruto himself; it hid a gentle heart under a seemingly rough exterior. There are some basic themes to Naruto, and one of the more important ones is the strength of friendship and family. The concept of protecting those who are precious to you is introduced here, but will carry on throughout the series. True, I love the fights, but I enjoy it more because both sides have a reason to fight. And whichever side loses, they have lost something tangible. As annoying and incompetent Naruto can be, one can't help but cheer for him, because he doesn't give up. The chips are stacked against him, but he finds the courage to continue. There's a lot more I could say, but the characters (many of which haven't really been introduced at this point) are so interesting and each has so much back history, that I can't really do them justice. All I can do is recommend this series. The world of Naruto is complex, but operates within oddly logical confines. So, enjoy the story and let Naruto show you how to show some empathy and understand for even your adversaries.

Calm Before the Storm

Masashi Kishimoto's "maverick show-stopping comedy ninja" shows no sign of slowing down! As Tazuna's bridge nears completion, Naruto grows stronger through intense training while a recuperating Zabuza and his apprentice challenge our heroes once again. Volume 3 is a turning point in this story arc, as the Leaf Ninja must prove their strength to their enemies and to the skeptical town they're fighting to save--and fight they do! Once the melodramatic parts are out of the way, it's nonstop action from here on out. And a few snippets about the creation of the creation of the manga don't hurt, either. This comic is rated T for Teen: Graphic Violence.

The Shift To Greatness

As good as I review the previous volumes, this is the first novel that helps you realize there's something more to this anime than Naruto's antics, rivalries, and crushes. There's some definite maturing of characters as they find out what being a ninja truly entails. The lines between true evil blurs as Naruto understands that even seemingly heartless villians have people that care for them and the capacity just before death to see through their mistakes. I love this manga.

Naruto is the best anime ever

Hey guys, listen up... I'm up to date on with the fansubs from japan, episode 87 of the 220+ mangas already produced and still in the making. The quality of Naruto exponentially rises throughout the entire series, and has the best character development of all time. so good that the viewers even get an understanding to each villain. There is soo much to discover in the mysterious world of shinobis, and it....left me smacking myself waiting for next weeks fansub. Its the hottest thing in japan right now, and soon the US. And make sure to get the Ps2 game, Naruto: Narutimate hero. It is the best fighting game, like smash bros. but new and unique, best of all bandai is making it (co. that releases the series, and most anime) so fans made it, meaning everything is correct to the series. My advice is ... GET EVERYTHING RELATED TO NARUTO, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

Masashi Kishimoto kicks ass

Naruto is consistant. It is consistant in its artwork, and it is consistant with the way the author is developing the characters. With each issue the Masashi Kishimoto is revealing more about the heroes and the villians. He is good. Volume 3 ended with a cliff hanger, and that's the only reason why I give it a 4 stars instead of 5 (which Volume 1 and 2 deserved).

I give up

I tried the Naruto series one more time and was DISAPPOINTED AGAIN. I mean, the story plot is very confusing and slightly inappropriate for young children. NOT TO MENTION IT'S BORING!!! Who cares about ninjas?!?! I'm more interested in supernatural themes. So stupid. I don't want anyone with good sense to by this boring manga.

Take a break

Kakashi is resting his poor body with training Sasuke,Naruto, and Sakura.Let's see if they can get the hang of runing up trees. Also,Naruto unknowing meets Haku who he thinks killed Zabunza. We also see Inari's real problem with heroes.Last but not least,a final confrontation between Zabunza and Kakashi.Wait a minute...he seem to have brought a friend...

The Manga was in perfect condition and very enjoyable to read. I will be looking forward to reading the other volumes.

Epic!

I would definitely recommend this, I bought it 4 days ago and it's already here! Clean, unused and only £5 - instant 5 stars!

Bridge of Courage

This third volume of the Naruto manga continues Team 7's mission to the Land of Waves to protect the bridge builder Tazuna. With Kakashi still recovering from his fight with Zabuza, Naruto and his friends must learn a new technique so that they will be ready for the trials that lay ahead. This volume also includes a bit of back-story for the Land of Waves and Tazuna's family. This volume continues the great series very well and although I did prefer the previous volume I still greatly enjoyed this one. The art is good and the story is well written with some good action, some funny moments and, at one point a nice incite into Naruto's character as well. This manga is greatly entertaining and the cliff-hanger at the end of this volume should keep you reading.
