When their city unexpectedly faces tragedy after tragedy, and a vote of No Confidence is brought before the queen on how these things are being handled, and Ari finds himself facing his greatest fear, failure.
Brie Wilson has been a Deputy Sheriff in Monroe for years. She loves the small town of her birth and the laid back atmosphere that makes it a wonderful and safe place to live. But even small towns have their own quirks and problems. Outside a few exceptions at the station, she pushes daily for her efforts to be recognized by the men on the force. Still smarting over her last break up where her ex likened her to a man, she decides the safest route is to stick to herself and never get her heart broken again.
When these two selfless warriors find one another can they learn to lean on one another before the body count escalates? What does it say about them when it’s easier to face murder than the deepening feelings growing between them?

I truly like the series but I was disappointed in this one - especially after waiting a year for it to come out. Character development just wasn't as extensive as previous books. The premonition Ari had about his mate never came up after the prologue. A few of the main characters had minor mentions and no development ... or, as in the case of Ryuu, became part of the background ... there was really only one mention of Pierce who was introduced in the last book. While it's understandable that there were a lot of new characters introduced, it seemed disjointed that existing characters faded out even though they were present in Eire Danu. I think it would have been much better to have continued developing those characters (Pierce and Izzy etc) and make the book longer than cut them out. And finally, like most of the series, there's too much material devoted to bedroom antics. I don't believe most of us read this series for the graphic interactions ... and if you do, maybe you should consider getting some counseling ... we read it because we like the story line, characters and Alanea's writing style. The sheer volume devoted to such things takes away from plot and character development - the lack of which was glaringly apparent. Hopefully the next novel will be of a higher standard ... and won't take another year to be released.
Disappointed and Disgusted with Spoilers
I normally love these books, as Menace is one of my favorite literary characters. However, this book felt rushed and under-developed, as it the author was facing an insurmountable deadline. Then, there is the completely culturally tone deaf passage where a pivotal moment shared between the two main characters requires him to whip her, in doggie position, across her buttocks and genitalia. Because she 'needed' it. Worse, so far as I recall, she's the first African-American female protagonist in the series, and you are going to to have her needing a white man to whip her for her to feel appreciated? WTF?!?!? That really pissed me off, and I am so white I glow in the dark. Take the time you need to research, write, and edit the next book in the series. Please. I don't think I can stomach another farce like this. Honestly, it read as if a lazy and depraved ghost writer was given the author's outline and told to go to town. For future
It was ok....
I want to start off by saying that I LOVE this series. All of the other books have been fantastic and I waited with bated breath for this one to come out. However for some reason this book just really confused me. Because it has been so long since I read the last book I forgot a LOT of the characters - and let me tell you they were thrown at you left and right. At one point, they were just names on paper. I kept trying to remember who everyone was by re-reading the synopsis for the other books and even went to the author's site to see if I could find character list. Nothing! They slowly started coming back to me, but by that time I was halfway through the book. Some I'm still clueless about. As for the story. I LOVED how strong Brie was but it seemed like her ability to accept Ari and the life in like 20 seconds flat was a little too fast - too easy. I wanted her to question things, to explore, to have backstory but outside of Ari, being called a "deputy" and her dad - she has no life? No friends? There was so much cutesy lovey dovie stuff going on between the two MC that the story really seemed to take the backseat and I didn't really feel like Brie really did any work on the case even though she was in charge. Now, that being said - I will read the next one because I love these stories. However, I will plan on re-reading the other books again just so I don't feel clueless.
Just not the best book
First I feel I must say I am a huge fan of this series and read them all on a semi annual basis. I was so excited for this book and i will still greatly look forward to the next one. This one just did not read the same. The story line was great and I loved the strong women Brie is. It is great to see a female be on the front lines with the boys. My problem is that I did not feel like this book held the depth that other books held and that the characters were not as well used. One of my favorite parts about this book is that the mates are always all up in what is going down and really we only say Meryn in this book. Izzy was not even referenced to until 40% of the way into the book. Yes, there are a few dinner conversations but is the just not the same. I really hope that changes in the next book. I did not feel that the premonition from the beginning was ever really explained. Ari was afraid of her living for his own good but that was never brought up again bc she never really struggled with becoming part of their world after the first 20 seconds of meeting Ari. Over all I just don't feel this book was as much a part of the series as a bridge to get to the next book. I am still looking forward to the next one and of course I will read this one again as I do my rereads.
It is a go-to must-read for me.
I've been dying to read this book and I'm so glad that it is finally out. But now I need to know what happens next. LOL Ari Lionheart is the youngest brother in the Lionheart clan of Declan and Rex. That doesn't mean he isn't a capable warrior. Far from it. While his unit may be one of the youngest in the paranormal society, they prove themselves capable when chaos is unleashed within Eire Danu. Ari especially after he shifts into third form and is represented as Belladonna by Meryn and given the codename Nightshade. Things start to fall into place about his character. We get to meet Ari's mate in this book, obviously. Her name is Brie Wilson and she is just as great as all the other female mates we've been meeting in the past books. She is strong, independent, and isn't afraid to speak her mind. Looking up to Meryn is just an extra bonus, and speaks of her own character. LOL Being a deputy sheriff, she fits in with the unit warriors and loves that her mate wasn't looking for a docile female to play betty homemaker. So much happens in this book. My Solace left off with Meryn, Oran, Darian, and the others trying to convince the Queen of the Fae that ferals had somehow made their way into Eire Danu. This is where My Warrior picks up. They are trying to get her to understand the severity of the situation and take control instead of burying her head in the sand and denying the facts. Once things start to unravel, more and more is revealed about the ferals and fae living outside of the parallel world. Tragedy strikes as it seems to always be doing, but things take a turn for the better, only for it to end once more in chaos. My Warrior seems to end on more of a cliffy than the other books have in the past. We didn't just get to hear about one of the warriors dreaming of his mate. He's running and thinking of how this reminds him of a certain dream. This story is told mostly from Ari and Brie's points of view. However, we do get one (chapter eighteen) from Meryn's point of view that enlightens us on a few things. And of course, the epilogue is from the next warrior to find his mate, Gage. I can't wait to see what Alanea has in store for us in the next book. You get the sense that things are finally starting to unravel and the big secret, why all this is happening, will finally be discovered. Though I know we still have a bit of a way to go. I'm super excited (and hope book 13 is in the near future) to see who Gage will be mated to and what she will bring to the party. This is a series that I highly recommend. It is a go-to must-read for me. Whenever I'm in a slump, it's what I reach out for. You can never go wrong with it. It has happiness, sadness, drama, anger, and mystery all within these pages. If you haven't picked them up yet, do it now. You won't regret it.
Love this series but this wasn't the same level as previous books
I want to start by saying I ADORE this author and love this series. love love love. I sing it's praises and have forced my husband to read them so he can talk to me about the characters. That's how much I love it BUT this book had a major cliffhanger that made no sense. In previous books, there was always some sort of resolution around the mate of that specific character and since the author went to the trouble of showing us the premonition of Brie/Ari situation in the beginning, we should have that the very minimum got the pay off of finding out what happens with that and seeing if she lives or dies to get through it. The test of love is on thing that's consistent in every book of this series. The overall plot of the ferals, fate, etc hangs in the balance and we're using to getting a new nugget or 2 in each book and that not completely being resolved but the specific warrior mate arc, typically gets resolved and that didnt happen in this book. SO I want her to go back to the drawing board, give us the rest of this and take her time. Maybe the pressure of waiting fans got to her? I believe in you Alanea! I know you'll get it right next time.
All hail the Menace ❤😉
I will never EVER tire of this series! Be warned: if you've not read any of the previous books in this series before, do not pass go. Immediately go and start from the beginning or be utterly lost at the character relationships, plot points, and many other subtleties. Its well worth it, and will have you cheering, laughing and desperate to read each consecutive book. At the center of this glorious series is Meryn,; A pint sized genius of maniacal proportions that bring about equal parts joy, mayhem and hilarity. Blessed with the ability to see what others do not, cut through the BS, and bring together people from all walks of life. Thrust into a world of the supernatural with unerring ease, she sees injustices and helps right them. She also helps to stop evil the on the rise. Get to meet the motley crew she counts as family, and see what new dangers lurk ahead. They'd be smart to worry, for this pintsized wunderkind will end anything that hurts those she loves. Get ready for lots of laughs, Doctor Who references, and all around bada$$ery.
Outstanding!
I'm having a really hard time trying to think of the words to describe how much I love love love this series and this book! I have reread this series a few dozen times and will continue to reread it every few months, probably until the day I die. She did not disappoint with this book, if anything, she surpassed my expectations which are way high when it comes to this series in the first place. I loved this new fmc. She's a total badass and fits Ari perfectly and vise versa. I love how excepting he is of her in all her strengths and as a warrior! This book is the best one yet, though I'll probably say that for the next in the series. They only get better with every new one she shares with us. Thank you so much Ms. Alder for creating this world that is so incredible and interesting with the best characters that I've found very very few books to compare much less meet it's equal! I'm gonna be very VERY impatiently waiting for your next masterpiece.
Not the best
I have never given this series a bad review but this time I can’t bite. The story is disjointed and very confusing. I’ve read it five times and each time I enjoy it less and less. Most of the books in this series snap into place with the others but not this one. The character development was bad. Bad. The storyline was worse. It felt like a book that forgot the paranormal aspect although, most characters are paranormal and just became a cop book that didn’t fit with the rest of the series. While I enjoyed previous characters showing up in the book the new characters felt like strangers that I never got to know. The prologue wasn’t explained and the epilogue was vague. I like Brie and Ari but their relationship development was shoddy. If this were the first book I had read I wouldn’t read another. After a year wait my expectations for a fabulous book were dashed.
A darker turn for Eire Danu
I’m really loving how this series is coming along, and honestly I am really impressed that the series is keeping my interest this many books in, the underlying plot really makes all the difference. I like being in Eire Danu as well, it’s a new setting, and has a totally different dynamic than the other cities and the politics are so much different as well. I really loved Brie, she really is a kick butt warrior woman. That’s not to say that the other women in the series haven’t been seriously awesome, and Eva is beyond capable of taking care of herself, but Brie is a true law enforcement professional, so when she comes into the fold you get to see a woman in a warrior role which is not something we have seen until now. And we also get to see what that means in terms of how the men in the units will treat her along with that. I also love that she had background knowledge of Meryn and they kind of were able to operate well with each other because they both knew each others strengths. As for Ari, another Lionhart, what is not to love. He’s very adorable, and I really liked some of the scenes with him and Brie, there is definitely some lightheartedness in this book that is direly needed because of the kind of person Ari is. This book was heavier and darker than in the other books. In the previous books you have a lot of danger but you have the ability to really fight back. In this book there is a lot of heartache and coming in after the fact which brings along its own set of challenges. More and more is being unravelled about what is really going on, leaving more questions than true answers, and I am honestly really excited to see where we go from here.

I hated it and I loved 11 other books crying now
I read the bad reviews and thought it can’t be that bad. In essence it was that bad especially around Brie character - she was underdeveloped the whole book lacked the magic that the other 11 books had. We have no idea who she really is, what she looks like. Who her father is? Her father is all of the sudden gay? How does he look like? We only get that she is African American because of one sentence mentioning her mom. Come on! She is embarrassed by dad’s new Mate, but offers blowjobs in front of other warriors. She is glorified but it doesn’t explain why? The first thing she does in a new world is to go the bathroom with her mother in law for a heart to heart. A woman she doesn’t even know. It felt like a weird whiplash all the time. Please edit the book again, breathe life into Brie and Ari. Everything about Brie and Ari was weird, unlike any other relationship. The only thing about him is he is young, and her she is a cop. Any other book had at least a prequel to explain where the mates were coming from. We don’t have that with Brie, why she acts the way she does? The number of the dead fae kept changing from 72-78. Ari was weird as well. In the end I skipped every part and tried to only read Meryn’s sections. I am worried that the next book will be also weirdly put together.
Lacks the depth of previous books
It seemed like everything is rushed in this book. I especially dislike how quickly Brie, a human, automatically accepts, within minutes it seems, to love/lust after this guy who changes into a lion without knowing anything about the paranormal world. Even Meryn put up a little bit of a fight. I do like that she's rather kick-ass in battle. I just wish there had been a little bit more depth. Secondly, and this is a biggie - Ms. Alder, please get a really good editor. This is by far the worst editing job than all of the previous books. I usually don't complain about editing unless it's so blatant that it interrupts the flow of the book. I love this series, I really do. Please don't fall into a trap (like Laurell Hamilton) and become too formulaic. I'll definitely read the next one in the series, it's that good (except for this one). If it takes a year or more to write a REALLY good novel, then I'm all in. Thanks for a great series.
Strong Mates!
Brie, is a Deputy Sheriff in Monroe & knows nothing about the paranormal; that is until she meets her mate in Ari. Ari Lionhart is the warrior leader in Eire Danu & has been having dreams about his mate walking away from him; but when he meets her he throws her for a loop. Especially when he changes into a lion right in front of her. Since Ari works & lives in Eire Danu & Brie is like a warrior in her world she gets accepted right away into Ari’s. The both of them get pulled into the feral mystery that’s happening in Eire Danu. Brie has also heard of Meryn & what she did for the government when she worked for them. So, meeting Meryn was like meeting a famous star; but, like Meryn Brie also thinks & sees what others don’t & brings a wealth of information into the mix that helps in this story. But, to me this book was more serious in the plot than the previous books & there wasn’t enough of the moments when what Meryn says or does to make me laugh. Overall this story was very good just for the plot & story line.
Loved Ari and Brie
Ari Lionhart is the youngest of the Lionhart brothers. Leader of Tau Unit. He is well loved and respected. He doesn't see it. He just wants to be as good as his big brothers. He just found his mate while investigating a horrific crime scene. Monroe Sheriff Deputy, Brie Wilson, comes from a long line of strong women in law enforcement. She has been hand picked by the current sheriff to be His replacement. Brie is getting a crash course in the paranormal world. Even her mentor and boss, sheriff Cameron Rathais is not human. She has a mate that turns into a lion. Brie is open minded and adaptable. Ari just feels right. Brie's calm take charge attitude catches the attention of the queen of the fae. Brie finds herself heading up a taskforce to find and rescue the fae queen's missing children. Brie has help from her sheriff's office co workers, her mate and his unit and unit brothers. Meryn and company. Aiden has a plan and has brought in help. He is much impressed by Brie. Ari couldn't be happier to have a mate like Brie. He is very proud of her abilities. Brie wasn't sold on the fated mates thing. Ari is so perfect. He respects her and her abilities. Understands who she is. He makes her feel safe. Has her back and she has his. His family is now hers. The Ari 's mother and aunts are powerful warriors in their own right. Loved Ari and Brie story. Looking to the next book.
Yum!!!!!!
FINALLY!!!!!!! I felt like my brain was starving while I was waiting for this book and Alanea did not disappoint. Chick you got me counting days, and re-reading this series from book 1, awaiting the next book release. Like always I loved it, Brie another strong female. Dude I straight up need that sun brownie recipe cause those sound delish. LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT!!!!!
Average
This book is the 12th book in this series and is very similar to her other books. If you liked her other books you will like this one. If you are new to this series you should read the others before attempting this one. In the end I had more issues than things I liked. What I liked, the seriously LOL scenes and the entire world this author creates. What I didn’t like. Book was great while it lasted but you don’t gain anything in the end except lost of time. There are too many storylines that go no where. By this book, Meryn has been pregnant for 6 years ( since the 2nd book in series). The author is taking one year to release one book and there’s no improvement in quality compared to when she was releasing every other month. Too many characters, I only care about Meryn really and she’s the best one. Everyone else is just filler. I really liked this series but if something doesn’t happen soon this might be my last book I will buy from this author.
Oh no!
I do this to myself every time. I get so excited then I suck the book down and then I’m super sad when it’s over as there’s nothing left to read. Man this books ending was legit hair raising I can’t wait to figure out what all that means. And dude. So much cool stuff happens. I mean in every book there’s cool stuff that happens but I have a soft spot for Ari bc he’s a lion. And oh man I love Meryn I missed her so much. I don’t want to put any spoilers in the review for people so I’m trying to be as vague as possible. I just love this series so much! My friend Princess introduced me and once I started reading it took me four days to go through all the books out which was I think 10 books. Then 11 was about to be released and now book 12 was just released. This mystery that sucks you in has so many layers it’s legit amazing how they are so intricately entwined. Epic story in this Merynverse series lol. Absolutely loved it.
The best series in the world just got one better!
This series is my absolute #1 indulgence. Alanea Alder continues to create a full, vibrant, enthralling world that I hate to leave. I impatiently wait for each new title and then fly through reading it in under 12 hours because I’m on the edge of my seat with anticipation. The series revolves around a parallel existence of paranormals in the US and the evolving war they are battling of good vs evil. We are introduced to Shifters, Vampires, Fae and Witches, specifically those who serve as Unit Warriors, who are finding their destined mates and having their lives turned upside down...in good ways! Each book focuses on one couple with a liberal dose of the whole gang carrying over in each successive book. The central character is the first mate to appear named Meryn Evans. Her antics are the best part of the series! Start with her book, My Commander, and the eleven books that follow so you’re all caught up on the doings.
Confused About Others Issues
I am not sure what the issues are about. I debated about writing a review, but after consideration, I decided to let my voice be heard on the author's behalf. I read the book the day it was released and found nothing particularly wrong with it. It advanced the story and introduced a new problem for Menace and the team to solve. If the kink in this book makes you uncomfortable, it's not for you. Kink shaming is not acceptable and I for one found it refreshing that the author is trying to branch out. If you don't like it, understand that there are people that do. I didn't even know the race of the character until it was brought up in the reviews. It is immaterial to the character. While she is submissive in the bedroom, she is granted membership into the Lioness Warrior group, which are considered on par with the teams. She is more BA than almost all the other heroines. While some of the scenes could be improved, I attributed it to the author's lack of knowledge on BDSM. That being said. I am disappointed in those that did some reviews because they don't like the brand of sex. Stop kink shaming and move on.
A slow start
In the future, please please PLEASE add a list of characters and their relationships. Now that we are at book 153 in the series, I can’t keep track! I think that is my biggest complaint. These are an ongoing story. If you haven’t read the preceding books or can’t remember what happened in them, you will be lost! This book took me forever to remember who was who. And some I still didn’t remember since it had been so long since the previous book release. As always, once you get into it, the characters are funny and endearing, and the story is enjoyable.
Loved it! But it REALLY needs an editor.
A wonderful addition to the series! There are some vague "spoilers" below. Though I wouldn't call them that 😊 I'd give it 5 stars if the author would do something, anything, about the typos - at least 16 of them that I marked and several more I didn't bother with. She REALLY needs an editor. That said, the typos are my only complaint. Yes, there are A LOT of new characters introduced in this book - mostly because she did NOT introduce a bunch of new ones in the last one, My Solace. To address the griping of those who complained about that - you cannot move a series on by only using old characters. This book takes place in the pillar city of Eire Danu, the land of the fae. We will have new characters as a matter of course, and those characters- who will be important later on, need a little page time. I'm also not sure why some readers are suddenly complaining about how quickly Brie accepts Ari. This astounds me considering that Rheia - My Healer, was the longest holdout. All the other human mates were a VERY quick insta-love. It may have seemed fast, but that was due to Brie coming into the story a bit late - Chapter 3. It still took her 6 more chapters to accept Ari. I actually found this book to be one of my favorites. The author is moving a bit more outside of the box - which I appreciated as reading the same old thing over and over bores me. This book had more action and a kickass heroine who took care of business. I enjoyed how active she was throughout the book. Her relationship with Ari was fun and, while many didn't see much "romance" between them, I felt it in how much support Ari gave Brie. Romance and love don't, and shouldn't, always equate with sex. It's accepting someone for who they are that enables a strong relationship. There are still plenty of sex scenes, but I was happy to see more character growth than sexy times. Meryn is still winning new people over, kicking butt, and taking names. She's calling people out on their BS, and managing multiple "work arounds" to aid the unit warriors. I still adore her character, and am enjoying seeing her continue to build relationships with others - one of which might surprise you! The book ties up nicely, regardless what other reviewers said. It ends with the typical "happy for now" between Brie and Ari. The only difference this one had was that there was something beginning to happen in Eire Danu. EVERY other book ends the same - a wrap up of that books relationship and intro into one of the next books main characters. We all KNOW something WILL happen. So, again, I'm perplexed at the complaints about this one. We are not left not knowing if someone lives or dies. We're left with a "I wonder what the hell is happening now" vibe, as people rush back to the palace. No one's lives are in immediate jeopardy, and no one's fate is left hanging anymore than in the rest of the series. I loved the introduction to Eliana's Daughters, and I'm sure we'll see more of them as the series continues. I think a lot of the initial poor feedback was due more to My Warrior releasing late on iTunes, Nook, Kobo, etc... it took an additional 3.5 days to hit those platforms and the readers were angry with the author, though it's not her fault. I saying this because I'm seeing a lot more negative reviews this time than at any other since book #6, My Guardian - when we 1st traveled to Noctem Falls - when everyone was griping about how LITTLE page time Eva and Adriel got as a couple. In this one Brie apparently gets "too much". You can't make everyone happy, is the moral of this. Alanea, keep doing what you're doing. I think you're an awesome writer (who still needs an editor), but your story-spinning and world building are phenomenal! I can't wait to see where you take us next!
Sadly disappointed by my favorite series.
unfortunately I was left disappointed after reading this book. It wasn't a fully developed story and felt more like an information dump. I still don't understand the mating dream or the story for that matter. This book didn't flow like the others. I am on the fence if I will continue this series or not. I will not be pre-ordering it again. I'll wait to see what others say. I loved this series and have reread it over 20 times. This book didn't have the same structure or quality as the others.
Great setup, but needs more.
So, first of all, I LOVE: the author's style and humor, along with the series in general and of course Meryn is always hilarious. She's partly why I keep coming back and see how she makes these "thousands of years old" immortals look like fools. I will say this, I don't read this series for the bedroom scenes, (I usually skip over them - sorry Ms. Alder) because I want to know what happens next with the character interactions, the mysteries that are popping up, and so on. I agree with someone else's review/comment (about look into getting councilling if all you're into is the sex for this series.) In comparison to other books I have read that wrote with bdsm and kinky scenes (some even way, way over the top and too much throughout the book, unfortunately) - there was only 1 scene and IT was light. Because the rest of the book completely show cased Brie being a total BADA$$ - skilled fighter, SWAT expert to lead a warrior team, and CIA intelligence trained. Her mate, Ari is a Lion shifter and these aspect of Brie incredible and an asset, because he states he grew up around these types of women (his mother is a Female Warrior). I do wish there was some mention of the premonition dream conflict or action and a resolution like the other books had, but overall I still liked this book and series. I hope Ms. Alder brings more characters, like Brie, of every SHAPE and COLOR into her next several books.
Solid 4.5 and loving the Lionharts
So loving Air and the rest of his unit warriors in this installment to the B&B: Eair Danu pillar city as we continue to follow Meryn and here Peeps. It was a fun read as always with unit warrior antics, the addition of supporting characters in the Lionhart pride, and it was thrilling to get a stronger insight to the evil behind the ferals and what their endgame might actually be. I loved the book as always but had to take a 1/2 point off for some minor editing issues (i.e. wrong word or occasional missing word usage). Still, this was a fantastic read and I'm already looking forward to the next unit warriors story. The ending left us with a small cliffhanger as much more is happening in the Fae city to come.
Meh
Sedate Meryn is boring. Why devote 95% of the book to a new character when there are already 2 dozen characters I care about more? None of the main characters are ever in any danger in this book. There is a LOT of conversation talking about past events. I enjoyed the trip to Noctem Falls. Hearing about it second hand is a let down. There is a LOT of walking back and forth between the Warrior Villa and the Palace. In the context of this book, Meryn’s attempt to “depose” Aleksandra, was boring at best. There really are just too many people now. I can care about a core of 5 to 10 people. I can’t care about 50 to 100 people. They just become a parade of names that I have to constantly remind myself who they are and how they are connected.
Excellent read
This book has it all; romance, believable hero and heroine, funny parts, suspense, family and includes past characters in the series. Well worth the wait! I gave a four star review instead of five because of the way the read ends. This book has a cliffhanger ending. You're reading along and all of a sudden, bam on to the teaser for the next book. Doesn't really have an ending for the current couple.
Not as good as the others in the series
I was so excited for this book. I felt like I had waited forever for it. My hopes were so high, as I have never been disappointed in one of Ms. Alder's books. However this book was a bit on the disappointing side. I found myself skimming through some pages, hoping the story would grab my attention. I hate to leave less than 5 star reviews, but really this story was lacking. Some parts were great, I really like how tough Brie is. However the ending was cut short. I usually love a good cliffhanger, this was just bad though. Cliffhangers usually leave me wanting more. The end of this book honestly made me not want to read the next book.
I need the next one!!!!
This release took me by suprise. I love this series and have reread it 3 or 4 times this year fron start to finish. I was a little dissapointed by Meryns development in this one, she has gone from a funny, amazing, strong and geeky kickass character to someone I hardly recognize from the previous books. I think it’s because she finally have a family(biofamily) so her personality has regressed a bit, she has acted more like a child then the 34/35 year old she is and i love. I hope that gets better in the next one because like i said, i truly love this series and characters. Ari and Brie was fun. Neither one cooks, cleans and are not domestic at all. Ari being the baby of the family and city, Brie being an only child and a hard working deputy they really didn’t have the time or need to do so. I loved them together and look forward to seeing more of the pride. I think the book i most look foward to in Eire Danu is kincades book, that witch has some wonky powers and is so sweet and funny when he is nervos.
My Warrior
I love the B &B series. Highly recommend reading it. However, I found this last book to be extremely short and lacking the adventure that is seen in previous books. Very disappointing. Hope the next book is better. If the books continue to be this short I would suggest reducing the price of the book.
Moments of fun lots of boring
I have LOVED this series. I’ve read every book and loved each one up until this one. It’s like the person writing this book wasn’t the same person who wrote the other books. I had a really hard time finishing it. It was stacked with a lot of boring dribble in between the meat that made up the bulk of the other books. I didn’t even care that this one was a cliffhanger I was just so happy to be done with it. I will continue reading the series and just hope that the author was just hitting a rough spot. Everyone trips and falls from time to time. You just have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start again.
Just What I Wanted
This is everything I’ve been waiting for for and wanting. This series is by far my favorite and I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve read it by now. My Warrior was a bit longer than previous books in the series, which just gave me more to love! Ari was amazing as a hero and I loved seeing his parents and family interactions. Brie was, I think, the strongest heroine yet, and I fell in love with her more and more as the book continued. I loved Meryn’s parts in the books, and enjoyed seeing the other characters pop up. I started to read another book after finishing My Warrior, but after one chapter I put it down and started MW again. I can’t wait for the next one, I know it’ll be just as amazing!
Excellent continuation, but frustrating too
I really enjoyed the book, but I’m frustrated with the epilogue ending. It was a bit too abrupt and lacked content. I really hope another book will be forthcoming soon. I also wish the author would add a key character list to the front of the book as a reference or on her website under each book. I read the first 11 books over the course of a couple of weeks. Since it’s been a couple of months, I really needed to remind myself who was who again. This is a great series which I highly recommend.
That was low...
There’s “continuing series” then there’s cliffhanger. And in this case it just felt like a sucker punch. I’ve just figured out that the author really has no plan. This thing goes on and on and on. The cast of thousands continue to grow. And Meryn is 36 months pregnant. I cannot be the only person over being Alder’s sucker cash cow.
Worst editing imaginable
I had a hard time getting through this book. It seemed disjointed and I didn’t care that much about the main characters. Just a lot of blah, blah, blah. This seemed like an in-between book. There was so much foreshadowing and mysterious remarks that I needed a chart to keep it all straight. The ending was abrupt and was, of course, a cliffhanger. I hope the next book is more focused and will actually resolve some of the mysterious remarks, but... The worst and most distracting part for me was the lack of editing. There were errors in grammar, syntax, punctuation or even spelling on every single page. I think Ms. Alder badly needs an editor and a proofreader. Especially a proofreader!
My Warrior by Alanea Alder
This is the 12th book in the Bewitched and Bewildered series. I love this series. It makes me laugh out loud multiple times with each book, I love the various characters in the novels, and I have always loved a good fantasy! This book let us take another look into the Lionhart family in the Fae City. Declan met his mate in the an earlier book so this time his youngest brother dreams then Mets his mate. From there, things get complicated for all the characters of the story.
3 Stars
The story is a continuation of the other Bewitched and Bewildered stories. Although the other books carry a complete story for the couple that is featured this story departs from that standard and leaves you hanging in the middle of the story. Hopefully the next story that completes this story will be out soon.
A true gift
Ms. Alder has a true gift. Her books inspire laughter, tears and reflections on life. While her characters are paranormal their problems are all too human. I learn from her books how to be a better person. Her quirky humor and characters teach the lesson with laughter and brighten my day at the same time. I don't recommend this if you're trying to quiet because you'll find yourself spontaneously laughing out loud with belly rolling laugh when you least expect it . I would recommend you read this series in order since they build on each other and you'll quickly find yourself lost in both the plot and many characters otherwise. In sum, it is a great book that brings much laughter while reminding you of the truly important things inlife.
Enjoyable but....
This was a fun read as all Ms Alders books are. Quirky characters and snappy dialogue kept the story moving. However, I felt it lacked some of the spark found in her earlier works. Brie and Ari were likable but not terribly interesting. The worst part of this book had to be the ending. Where was their HEA? This story just stopped........very frustrating for the readers!
My Warrior Bewitched and Bewildered Series Book 12 by Alanea Alder
Soooooo very happy to finally get another addition to this absolutely marvelous and fantastic series by Alanea Alder!💖 I have reread this entire series over and over again so many times because it is so entertaining and thourghly engaging with pages filled with humor, heartwarming moments, dramatic scenes, battles and characters that have you wanting things for them to get their own Hea.Absolutely must have series by an amazing author,Alanea Alder has shared her talented and wonderful imagination in creating such a wonderful enjoyable reading experience! I'm Soooooo Highly Recommending that you have this entire fantastic series by Alanea Alder so you can experience it as I have!💖
I'm in Love!!!
I don't know how Alanea does it she just keeps getting better and better with each book! I loved Aria and Brie they are such a POWER couple, the way Ari supports and encourages Brie is so healthy for a relationship. The character development was also straight up gold. I started reading it the moment it dropped on my kindle at 12:30am and couldn't put it down until I finished it at 6am. I regret NOTHING! I will be rereading the whole series again and again until the next release!
Loved it
I loved this book, actually love the series. It is one of my favorites. The characters old and new add to the mystery . The plot is always exciting. It has a love story, shows many living happy couples, intrigue, family, corruption, excitement, funny, Meryn is hilarious. I can't wait until she has her babies. ( please more than one, not and girl) that would make for some really funny stuff. Please write another soon.
Loved it & did not get negative reviews
This book is a great continuation of the series!!! I enjoy the characters and they way they interact. I read some reviews that mentioned being disappointed with the story or too much sex and I have to say I am still confused as to what they meant ?!?! The sex in this book is similar to past books and a bit tame but totally fits into the story line of investigations, murder and political schemes. We get to know Ari and Brie’s. I love the heroine she is strong and the hero is soooo supportive that they click and I love it!!! Only issue with this book is that it ends in a sorta cliffhanger and I already can’t wait for the next book(hint, hint!!!)
They plot thickens
Book 12 in the series is just as busy and chaotic as the previous ones. Seeing the inner workings of House Lionhart was wonderful, especially as the crap starts to hit the fan. The Committee is up to its shenanigans again, with some Fae douchebags thrown in the mix. It’s a happy-ish reunion for Meryn and crew as we see some old friends from Lycaonia and Noctem Falls while adding a Badass to the team.
Sarcastic humor, hot warriors and quirky mates. What more do you need?
My Warrior is a funny, exciting continuation of the Bewitched and Bewildered series. I read it in one great big gulp as I couldn't put it down! As always, this series makes me laugh at the antics of Meryn as you get to know Ari and Brie as mates and I was anxiously reading to find out what happens to the warriors and their fated mates. It entertained, it excited and it made me laugh. Best in the series yet!
Another home run!!
This book definitely did not disappoint! And it’s characters and story lines are as quirky, action packed, funny and heartbreaking as the previous books! Your imagination and story telling abilities astound me, Alanea Alder! Of course, I’m looking for the next book now!!! Only 2 things can make this book better: if book 13 was already out, and the series is all on audiobooks! With the 1st 2 of the series on audiobook, I’m wishing they all were so I can listen to them while I get other things done! Thank you for all of the hard work you in put in to writing this series! They take me into the wonderful world of Merytopia and away from the craziness of this world for a little while! What’s next!?! Can’t wait!!!
I'm already chomping at the bit for the next one!
I'll be the first to say that Alanea Alder can't really go wrong in my eyes. But for all the romance novels I've read, she still has this magical ability to stand out in such a crowded genre. Her characters are some of the most endearing, hilarious, and wonderful people that I will never meet. Every time I plunge back into the worlds she's crafted it's like coming home and it sets my imagination on fire. I don't care how long I have to wait for the next book, I know without a shadow of a doubt that it will be worth it.
My all time favorite series
I cannot get enough of this series. I heald of on reading this book as I wanted to savor it. The book didn't disappoint. Merwyn is as amazing as usual and the men are sweet and protective. This book has them fighting a new evil.in the fe city. I love seeing the demon and Meryn perceptions of him at the end. I can't wait to read more books in this series. They can't come soon enough.
This series keeps getting better
12 books in and it is still fresh and fascinating . I absolutely love Meryn ! That character is a hoot . Add in everyone that is layered in throughout each book and it is perfection . Each character has their own quirks and strengths , so they are all great reads that add so much texture to the rhythm of the world building . This series is a one click for me . I literally couldn't put it down until I was finished . More than worth the money , I have to pick a choose witch books I am willing to save up for . This series is a no brainer .
Rushed Along
I absolutely love the characters BUT the development of Brie and Ari felt rushed. I really wished the AA had taken more time in developing this story and it’s multiple storylines. I am still a fan of this series and of AA writing, but this is not one of her better works. I would be all for an extension to this book.
Always ends to soon
I so love Meryn, she makes me laugh so much that people look at me weird as I am reading. Getting to know a new bad a$$ like Brie was awesome. I love the connections each character has and love seeing the new characters mix and bring new stuff to the ever growing mystery. I can't wait to continue the story and getting to know all the different warrior units. I always read these so fast and just am wanting more every time.
WOW!
I highly recommend this amazing book and the marvelous series in which it is to all readers who love a quirky, action packed fantasy. These books should be made into movies. They have everything any one could ever want: kick butt characters, hilarious scenes, endearing scenes, action and adventures. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in this imaginative and thrilling series.
Good but notably less then the early books
This is a good series generally. Its a little different from the usual story lines. I've enjoyed them all, but of late they are less put together and thought through for me. There were also a fair amount of missing words and other editing errors throughout. I just expect more I guess because the early books didn't have these issues.
My warrior
Omg I can't wait for book 13, I think in the demon is up to something more and I found in very interested that he is very intrigued by Meryn. Brie is kick ass but there is more to come, Ari 's dream still didn't happen yet. One he'll of a cliff hanger have be so excited to find out what happens next. Awesome job as usual.
Never Disappoints
What can I say? This was another great book. I loved ALL the characters. Ari and Brie were a great match. I loved how parts of the mystery unfold and new parts take the place. One problem I DO have...I have so long to wait for the next book. Alanea Alder, you have a very good imagination and will be waiting impatiently for the next book. On a side note: Thank you for getting Nigel, Neil and Pip to Eire Danu. They were missed in the last story.
Ninjagaiden!
Another hilarious, thrilling book in the adventures of Meryn. I fell in love with Brie so quickly. It was wonderful watching Ari come to realize how much his unit brothers love and respect him. It takes a talented author to keep you swinging from shock and horror to hilarity without feeling forced.
Warrior Princess
This one had a different feel than the others and I absolutely loved it. Ari & Brie were amazing and the storyline fantastic. We are meeting all kinds of amazing characters and the new douche showed pretty strongly. The ending was alarming and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
What has Meryn done?!
I love this series. Brie is a very smart, talented and totally tough. Ari is amazing. He meets his mate and shifts to his lion. I love how Are supports Brie's leadership. His men follow he lead. She brings her training and experience to Erie Danu. My favorite part is Eliana"s Daughters. A fierce, fighting force of she lions. Feared and respected. A challenge thrown. A challenge accepted. It was awesome. Something huge is about to happen. I want crack open that porcelain box!!!
Please don't take a year for the next installment
This is by far my favorite series!!!!! Aleanea Alder creation is simply amazing!!! The character development, relationships between the character are believable and something to aspire too. I love the humor and unconditional acceptance given to those that don't "fit" the norm, its truly a gift:) I wish the Menace was my friend/sister-cousin, just think what an adventure that would be;)
This book is amazing
Every time I pick up a book in the series I wonder if it can live up the greatness of the previous books. This one so far surpassed the last books. I have no idea how the author keeps coming up with amazing material but I am so thankful for such a kickass series! Cant wait for the next one.
Well Done
After a long wait for this book it didn't disappoint. The story develops more intensely, the characters continue to grow and the plot thickens. Though it has lost focus of some key characters others join in and haven't let me down. Another awesome part of the series, I'm excitedly awaiting the next.
Great Book and Series
Have been reading this series for a few years now and have enjoyed every book...in fact, I just went back and re-read the whole series and enjoyed all of them again. The books make me laugh and in a few instances cry. All the characters are great though my favorite ones are Meryn and Aiden. Can’t wait for the next book(s)...the story is evolving and as I read each book my questions are being answered though after reading “The Warrior” new questions are popping up.
Boom Alanea does it again!!!
Hands down my favorite series of all time!!!! Just did a huge re-read leading up to this book!!! Loved it. So sad for a lot of it too (you’ll understand once you read)....very very funny at some parts (neutered) 🤣 just freaking loved it. I need the next one nowwwww!!! 🤣🤣🤣 hate waiting but I know she puts a lot of work and thought into the series!!!! Can’t wait to see what happens!!!!
Love this series
Definitely a series u can't put down... i hate with i finish because I want to read more of what will happen next ... ugh i must wait for the next one, sadly ... although i felt this book left me hanging a bit more than other books, it was still amazing as the rest !!
Oh God. The cliffhanger! I need an update! STAT!!
Wonderful!!! Loved the return of Pip and the twins...was hoping for more goblins and bbq! Maybe next time...the trail of ferals and reapers is continuing and the real reason why all warriors follow Aiden is told. Of course we have magic pudding and meat kabobs. God it was good! Sorry I didn’t want to give real spoilers. Do yourself a favor and just read it. Best if read in order so you know all the characters and their nicknames
Worth the wait!!
I have waited for this book for a year (I think) and it was worth it. There is action, suspense, drama and laugh out loud goodness in this book and I eagerly await the next book in this series as the plot thickens and drama unfolds in the land of eternal sun. I look forward to the shenanigans to lol.
Powerful Women Rock!
The incredibly handsome warrior follows her orders without question while protecting the 6 of the beautiful, fierce woman who has his heart. All the Bewitched and Bewildered books are like Magic Pudding to me! If you crave a world filled with impossibly strong, gorgeous men who are uncommonly protective and proud of their equally powerful women... then these are the books for you! Especially THIS book! There is a frightening evil to overcome but they join their hearts and souls and lift each other up to meet the challenge. Do yourself a favor and read all the Bewitched and Bewildered books in order cause the stories flow like movies in your mind and ALL of these warriors appreciate the glory that is a fierce female!
A badass lion shifter and a badass human cop
Love this series. Ari and Brie are amazing characters. MERYN!!!!!! My absolute favorite character of all time. Kicking butt and taking names.
Love this series!
I can't get enough of these books. I've read them over and over and am always impatient for the next book. The only down side is I finish it in one sitting, then have to wait for the next book. I love how the story builds on itself, adding new characters with kick a$$ female characters while adding humor despite the seriousness of the plot. Definitely a worthy read and one to add to my favorites category.
Best Book Yet
I have read and reread every book, in both series, and I will read every book Ms. Alder will ever write. Bri and Ari are perfect together. I love Ari's aunt's little test. I was jumping in my seat with excitement. I will reread tonight.
My warrior
I’m incredibly happy that this book was not all about Meryn. It definitely allowed me to get to know ari and brie better. I do feel that this series is getting a little too long. I really want to know what happens in the big story but I find myself getting bored with the little things. I know there is still quite a few books left though. I think part of it is I miss the humor from the first couple books. The series seems to have lost the funny stuff as it progressed.
Love this book
I couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed this book. This is my favorite series each book just adds more to the overall story. The fwwl like friends. characters Alanea has created are so engaging and likeable you just more. Once again love this book!!
Love the series! But a cliffhanger again?
Waited so darn long for this next book in the series to hear Ari's story. I liked the continued drama and problem solving that comes as a delightful standard in this series of dynamic individuals that really feel like family. However, due to the year long wait, I have to say that it stresses me out to have a story end with too much of a cliffhanger and not enough HEA. For that reason, I gave this 4-stars. --- oh, and hurry up with the next book already!! LOL
I Love This Series
I love the characters, complex world building and overlapping and continuous story lines. My fingers are crossed that the author is hit with an irresistible urge to write and unending inspiration that does not let up until the series has ended.
Fantastic book
I absolutely love this series, have read the series twice and can’t get enough. This book was a fantastic continuation of the story and I love how she keeps adding great new characters and how seamlessly they fit with into the story.
The plot thickens....
Every time I open up a B&B story I expect to be thoroughly entertained by the primary story characters and Meryn’s shenanigans as they work to resolve some dastardly plot against the supernatural pillar communities. This book delivers on that expectation and continues to set the stage for the overall story arc of Eire Danu. Meryn’s secret conversation certainly has me curious about what comes next!
Omg
It has been a long time since I came back to this world of witches and fea and especially Merlyn.... These stories, this world, this special place is amazing in its own wa,. It brightens my day and my life with each word. I feel like these characters are alive and they belong in the real world. Sigh... I wish I could just live in a book, or series. I would choose this.
Mr. & Mrs . Smith step over Sri and Brie got this
I love this series but hate how long you have to wait for the next book to come. I need cliff notes so I can review that way you don't read the entire series again because it's that good and you really don't want to miss anything. Even the small things have meaning.
Another triumph!
As usual another great book! The very large Lionhart family gets a new daughter. There are a couple of cute twists that surprise you and some laugh out loud parts that will have people thinking youre crazy.
Highly Enjoyable
This is a great addition to the series. While the romance of Ari and Brie is central focus, we still get to enjoy the twists and turns of the ongoing story along with the characters we already know and love.
Loved it
Once again Alanea Alder hits it out of the park. Some questions answered, more raised, the series just gets better and better. Loved Ari and Brie and how kick butt Brie is. Yet another strong female character.
Love it!!!
This series just gets better and better. My warrior is kick ass, ari is an awesome male lead that is supportive of his badass mate, Brie, instead of trying to protect her just because she’s a woman. There is nothing sexier than a man who’s not afraid of a badass woman.
We are in the Fae lands now
I love this series. We are in the Fae lands now and it is Ari's turn. Brie was great and I loved catching up with the other couples. I am really looking forward to Storm Keep and the witches.
Oh my !
This was so good !! Kick ass women and winning a few for the team ! I can't wait to see where this leads us to ?! Couldn't put down for all the characters and such strong story lines !!
What a warrior
I always wait with great anticipation for an Alanea Alder book. They are always funny, poignant, and enthralling. This book did not disappoint. As usual, I laughed, cried, and said "no way" frequently. Read this book, totally enjoyable and well worth 5 stars.
Amanda does it again. This continuation of the story thru all the books is great!
Some fuss that it is more of Meryn, but that is what makes these stories. It all started with her but we get to see characters and their story along the way of solving the big picture problem. I love it. I go back and reread all the books when a new one comes out to keep everything in my mind when I read the next. Can't beat this storyline!
Great book! 😊
Absolutely loved this addition to the series! Very entertaining and it left me looking forward to the next one! I will be glad tho when the series ends as there seems to be just a few too many new characters being introduced. Still makes me laugh tho! Great read!
A richly woven tapestry!
Alanea Alder has done it again! I won't provide a synopsis, as I don't want to give anything away, but trust me when I say her writing is amazing. I've read the entire series and the way she weaves both the story line and her characters together is truly magical.
Magic....Pudding!!! ;)
I love love love this series!!! The character development is awesome and so fun. The different kingdoms are so interesting and flushed out. I just can’t wait for the next title. I guess I’ll have to re-read the series for the fourth time
Long wait for a big set up!
This book just served to set up for the next. It was not substantial to the plot except for Meryn's little talk with her friend. I am not disappointed but I would really love to see the end of the series relatively soon. We are on book 12 of a 20 book set up that is taking forever to be released.
SO worth the wait!!!
She's done it again! Made me fall in love with her characters. The story flows wonderfully and the cast of characters is (as always) extremely entertaining. No spoilers, but really loved the spin on the bad guy at the end.
Loved it!!!
I love the books in this series. These books have a mystery, romance, friendship and also parts are so funny. Meryn is a wonderful character, she is smart and funny.
Book 12 and I'm still totally hooked
I can't wait to see what happens next! Brie's first meeting with Ari is funny in that what she does to him (no spoilers). I enjoyed Brie and Ari very much. Brie is a tough cookie like Eva. The mysteries of what is happening in the fae city are more complex, possibly. Characters mentioned previously are a little more fleshed out in this book. Meryn is keeping a secret from everyone too. The great adventure continues!
Still my favorite series ..but....
I have so enjoyed this series and I did enjoy this book but not as much. At times it felt scattered and other times it crammed in a bunch of detail. Almost like the cramming is setting up for even more books. Which I am all for more books but there was way too much cramming. I have read the entire series up to this book several times and there are parts of this book that attempt to reference previous activity that were not part of the earlier books.
Amazing
I Absolutely Loved it So Much Another Phenomenal Book and I can't wait until the next one and I loved Brie and Ari so much you write amazing characters.💖💖💖💖😍
Another excellent book!
I don't know what else I can say about this series other than I love it. I have lost count how many times I have reread these books starting with My Commander and going forward, and they never get old. I continue to laugh, love, cry and just feel with each read.
Alanea never fails to deliver a kick ass good time! Giggles galore, new twists, more time with old favorites. Highly recommended, but be warned: These books are addictive!
I need a lion shifter like now!
Ari was so cute and his mate Brie is such a badass. This book delivered so much excitement, heartache, laughter and heartwarming moments that I didn’t know what to do with myself. Meryn is still her awesome menacing self playing politics and plotting deniable deaths of douchebags.
Loved it.
The Bewitched and Bewildered series is a never ending circle of laughs and action. I loved this book just as much as the others and two of my good friends do too! Keep them coming! I’ll buy every single one!
I love all of her books
This is one of my favorite series and I will always read everything Alanea publishes. The characters are so well written and the plot is becoming so interwoven that it is staying interesting and continues to grow. You are so talented Alanea!
Amazing Series!
This is one of the most entertaining series that I’ve read. I discovered this series about 2 weeks ago, and have read all 12 that are currently available. I absolutely cannot wait for book 13. I love all the characters in each book, but I still find myself looking forward to all of the Meryn moments!!!
Lots of love
Another fabulous read from alanea alder it sucks you into this world and you live it right along with each character thank you Alanea until the next book
Soooo good!
Yet again Alanea Alder managed to hit it out of the ballpark. The book further the over arch along and we got to see more of the end game for this city. I CAN NOT wait for the next book in the series!
Off the charts!
Ari and Brie as a couple make this series even better. Each book in this series is better than the last one. Meryns world is absolutely the greatest.
Brilliant,
Absolutely brilliant! I love this whole series never a bad book yet! Funny, engaging, romantic and has suspense. I just wish they came out quicker...
It just keeps getting better
This book was definitely worth the wait but now I want the next one. I feel like I blinked and finished the book and now I am craving more. I think a reread is in order.
Another fantastic book from Alanea Alder!
I had to stay up late to finish this amazing book again! This series is my ultimate favorite and this next book was just as great as all the rest. Talk about female power! Brie and Ari story was so sweet and funny and they are both badass! So many details and favorite characters immerse the reader in this amazing world. I can’t wait for the next one. Well done again!
Great
Love the new characters. We’re starting to see more of the picture. I’ll need to do another read through to find all the little Easter eggs.
Always amazing
As always Alanea Alder did an amazing job. She pulls you in and you have to force yourself to stop reading to perform life functions like go to the bathroom. Thank you Alanea for being a fruitloop in a bowl of cheerios.
OMG! Amazing!
Omg! What an amazing book! I couldn't put it down until I finished! It wasn't long enough, I was not ready for it to be finished yet. I cannot wait for the next one. Love, love, love! This book and series.
Another great addition
Love this series. As always the story progressed. We met new characters. The relationships grew. It was good. Only complaint was I wished it was longer!
Fantastic
Love this series. Each book is better. Love the familiar characters, and how each book leads to the next. Can't wait for the next book.
Confusing
This book started out simular to the series but then it became confusing to me. No real connection with the main characters just lust. Mervyn (My favorite character) was herself just a little slower in making mysterious but blame that on her pregnancy😁. Disappointed in the ending.
Wishing!
I am seriously wishing that the author could be sooo inspired and could write faster but I also want quality books like the previous ones so I am stuck with just wishing. I will be waiting for the next book and anticipating an exciting book to read again and wishing it would be soon.
So good
It was just as good as the previous ones. I loved Meryn's antics. I also loved the new characters. Brie was awesome. I can't wait to see who will the next one brings. This author's books are always an automatic but for me.
Ok
I wish this book focused a little more on the couple... and where was the part from Ari's dream???? I think the author forgot about that or just didn't know how to write the scene into the book... it wasn't as great as the others but I did read it a second time and it changed my view so it got bumped from 1 star to 3.
Love me some B & B!
I started and finished “My Warrior” today. I love these books! Meryn is my absolute favorite character ever! Write faster Ms. Adler!
I love this book
I love the world Alanea has created. This book doesn’t disappoint. I laughed out loud and was sad too. Nicely done Miss Alder.
Love love loved it!
Omg So good, as the story builds it become more and more intriguing. I have loved this series from the beginning and can’t wait for the next book of chaos! Way to go Alanea Adler!
Excellent continue of story line
When’s the next book. Impatiently waiting. Like to have a little more Meryn, Izzy, creelee, Felix. Brie, is totally awesome. Love how together she is. Hope Mz Alder will have the next book in the series out soon. Been waiting a long time and miss Meryn and her buddies.
Awesome
I love this series. I have waited a year to see what chaos Menace would stir up this time. She didn't really stir up much but I thought the story of Ari & Brie was awesome. I love Brie being another strong female like other mates are. Looking forward to the next book. I feel this book laid the foundation for a very exciting next book.
Excellent addition to the series
Definitely must read the series in order. I loved Ari and his mate is a strong and smart chick. Looking forward to the next book.
Worth waiting for
My Warrior is book twelve in the Bewitched and Bewildered series and is Brie and Ari's book. I love this series so much. We get some answers to burning questions, but we also get new questions that need to be answered. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
Great addition to the series
My Warrior is a great addition to this series and continues the world building that is part of this series. However, the author needs to find an editor or beta readers as the typos and grammatical errors continue to be a problem.
These books just keep getting better
I am very impressed with this series. The women are strong and smart. The men are hot. The evolving story is riveting. I always look forward to the next novel. Well done Alanea Alder. Please keep these amazing novels coming
Crazy good
Another hit. I pre order all Alanea Alder books since her second Bewitched and Bewildered book. I am completely hooked by this series and need more. I get giddy when i see a new book coming out and after pre ordering it I start re reading the series from My COMMANDER to the last one Thank you. Happy Writing.
Brie is the complete package...
All the mates have contributed substantially to the fight against the enemy, Brie however is a breath of drab air. She is wicked smart like the others but she also really kicks a**! Another good story.
OMG
Alanea has done it again. She has brought the characters to life and I just want to keep re-reading it. I would encourage anyone to read it.
Amazing!!!!!
While normally, the 3 -4 word errors would have me taking off a star...I can't. This book is amazing! Mervyn grows in leaps and bounds in only Meryn-like ways. While never detracting from Ari and Brei and twisting the story to snip off a loose end even while opening more threads to be unraveled. I can't wait for the next one!
Yes!!!
I have every book in this series! Each book is as good or better than the last! This addition to this series was a fantastic read! The story line always reads fast and always has heart, love, and laughter in every page. I will forever be a die hard Alanea Alder fan!❤️
Loved it
Totally great Book! I can’t wait for more. I love the pillar cities and Meryn And all her peeps are the bomb
Worth the wait
Yes! Loving how this sub-series is filling in the blanks, bringing back past characters into lead positions and has introduced a strong knowledgeable female to lead the warriors.
Great read as always
So good can't wait for more and for Meryn to get revenge on the people who went after her parents and of course to meet the next mate
Ari and Brie
This series just gets better! Hate see end of story cause you have to wait for next couples book. A true page turner, gets your interest from first couple pages and won’t let go. Original paranormal romance story. Can’t wait until next one....
Cliffhanger
Enjoyed thoroughly reading and meeting the new characters. As usual, Meryn was in her element. I love the way she is growing in each book. I'd recommend this book to anyone and everyone who needs an escape from reality but then stay I think touch as well. Kudos Alanea. 👍🏾
Wow
Every time I pick up these books they get better and better! The webs she spins are so intricate it blows my mind every time. I cannot wait for the next one!
Worked the wait!!!!
If you love aleanes books you can add this one too the pile! It's the next installment in na great series, I'll be waiting eagerly for the next.
Get them all
Convoluted and unpredictable plot that builds through each consecutive novel? Check. Witty and hilarious characters with actual personalities and backgrounds? Check. Re-readable stories that make you yearn for more? Check. Buy them all.
Alanea Alder is always worth reading
Best author in the world!!! Reading the world of meryn makes my world better can’t wait for the next installation!!
Another Nail Biter!
This book needs more stars but alas 5 is the maximum. Like many books in this series it has many twists and turns. But love is always the center of these stories. I cannot wait for more books in this series to come out. Alanea you rock!
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PLEAE READ
I was so greaking excited when this good came into my library. This whole series it amazing. It gives many warning in the world like the best kinda weapon is part of a toilet. Whenever im having a hard day i come home and read the seroes. I have now officially read the series 23 times. I would recommend this to anyone who want romance action and the ability to die laught your butt off
Did the end get cut off?
The book in this series is good as usual. I'm just a little confused about the ending. It stopped after three paragraphs into the last chapter. This series doesn't normally leave at a cliff hanger so it has me kinda lost and disappointed. Hopefully its an error that will be fixed soon.
AMAZING Series!!!
I love this book and this series. Alanea always knows how to hold my interest with smart dialog and hilarious quips. My ultimate favorite character in any series is Mervyn. We all long to be Mervyn. But as each character gets introduced, you have a hard time picking the next favorite.
Disappointed
I loved the first five book.....6 through 10 were okay. Now it’s just keeps dragging on with no end in sight. If it could have been wrapped up in 10 books I would have loved it. Now I don’t think it’s worth the money to ever get to the end.
Best series ever!
In 3 years there have only been 18 days i have not read on my kindle app. I have read 80+ books since January. This series is my absolute favorite ever. I have reread the series with every new book. I will continue to do so. The characters are amazing! I have laughed and cried both to the point my husband thinks I am crazy. Love these books!
Don't take so long
Please.don't take so long for the next book in this series Alanea😁 I know you have been working on the other series, but I waited so long, I kept checking. This series is awesome. Still has everything, from funny, especially Merin, the sexy parts, and mystery. Thanks so much.
Another winner
I REALLY love this series. I’ve read it several times. This new installment is good as well. Really like that the beloved characters are still included. I wish more of this series was on audible. Only the first two books.
Bewitched and Bewildered is a must have series
I can’t get enough of this series. I love each and everyone one of the stories. Can’t tell you how many times I have reread them. They are my go to books for when I need a pick me up. They put laughter and joy Into my day.
Amazing as always
I am such a fan of this series. This books follows along with everything and just adds more to the great storyline going on.
Amazing
Once again she smashed it! This series just keeps getting better and better. I need more ASAP! And i need the tiny menace to be a real person.
Best book yet
My god, every book Alanea releases gets better and better. The story is amazing and so in depth. The world building is amazing and leaves me hanging out for more.
Must read
I love the characters so much! I litterally sat down and read it one go. Sleep whats that? Shhhh Mommy's reading.
Wow!!!!
I can't wait for next book. Brilliant ending. I don't what book like better, but this serious is an amazing!
Long awaited and not disappointed
Book 12 in this wonderful series and I don't know how but each book is better than the last. Just finished this one and so looking forward to the next as I want to know where this story will take us next.
My Warrior is awsome
I love all of your books just when I think it can not get any better you prove me wrong. I love everyone of the Bewitched and Bewildered. Thank you so much for your art.
Amazing!!
Another absolutely amazing story! The strong h quickly became a favorite character in this series. This series just keeps getting better!
Awesome!
Fantastic work! Wonderfully written! Keeps you on your toes, and laughing! Can't wait for the next book! Each book leads you through each mate, and a small step towards who is the bad guy\gal.
Ari and Brie Book 12
Average rating. Only book if the series that didn't incorporate Ari's vision into the story. The story didn't seem complete. I really enjoy the series but every book has typos and misused words. Dispute that, I would recommend. Hope there is actually an end to Bewitched and Bewildered at some future time.
My Warrior by Alanea Alder
Had to wait until my second time reading this book before I posted a review. It was interesting storyline, it had murder, romance, danger, a demon. The couple in this book are strong characters.
I can't wait for the next book. I laugh till I cry at the antic of the he characters . I can't wait to see what the menis is up to next.
I love her books . You can't put them down . Reread them again and again laughing out loud , crying or just shouting alright. If you need a series to read they will keep u laughing, that u can't put down this is it. Romance, brother/sisterhood, aseptance, cool characters, a well thought up storylines Look no father just buy and start reading.
Favorites
I truly love this series. The only drawback is that I need to read with a notebook to write down all the different characters names and how they relate to the main characters. I can't wait for the next one!
They keep getting better!
Alanea Alder keeps the story going in this book, the characters are great and you just get more addicted to the menace. The only thing I wish is that they come out quicker than once a year. How long can you keep someone pregnant?
Awesome series
So far, this whole series is hilarious but exciting and fun. In this story Brie is an Awesome MC who is strong and smart. With her joining, the far city puts her in charge of an investigation right away. Love it!
Over and over again
I just cannot get enough of these books! I have read them all and then read them again. I absolutely love these characters. This is the only series I have ever read over and over again.
I am so in love with your characters that I am anxious to see what they are doing each book has become a major treat for me.I really love how you do so much to blend their lives as well bring out more substance to their lives. I am sure there's something even more intriguing coming. Please continue to write I am awaiting your next adventure for this family of characters
Okay that's enough for now I think wrote the review in the too space.but I just 💘 your books please hurry up write the next one.
So in love
I love this series! Every time I think we are getting to the real villain something comes up. Brie BadA mate. Ari total hit mate. Perfect couple!!!
Had me from the first page
Loving how I got to see more characters in this book and so much more was explained as well. I honestly couldn’t put it down. I’m so ready for the next book!! Amazing as always.
Never disappoints!
Just finished my second read through of My Warrior and as always, somehow the author always manages to out do herself. Thoroughly enjoyed and anxious for the next in the series!
Bink
I y enjoyed all your books l hope you will get more in Auto thanks l look for your next book
Amazing book
I loved this book. There is a couple things that are left unsaid that is confusing, that is why I gave it 4 stars. The ending felt a little rushed. Besides that, the book was a little darker. Amazing couple. I absolutely love this author!
Great book
All I can say is "so damn good!" Funny yet keeps you on edge of your seat wondering what next. Cannot wait for the next book!!!
My Warrior
I love this book I have read every single one in this series. I love how she can put action, romance, and comedy in the story. I can't wait for the next book to come out.
Love it, must read
Alanea alder has done it again. Just amazing. Love this book. I laughed and cried. Meryn is just awesome
Another hit
I love Brie and Arial and how well they fit into the mix!! Man Brie is such a kick butt FMC and I loved she she beats Arial aunt and becomes an Eliana daughter!!
Awesome!
I seriously love EVERYTHING. THIS. WOMAN. WRITES!!! Start at the beginning of the series though... you’ll be utterly lost if yo don’t. But seriously you will be hooked! Can’t wait for the next book!
This book made me laugh and cry.
I would recommend this book to anyone! Ms Alder you did it again, you hit it out of the park
💛 Ari 💛
💛 This is Ari story & it was WOAH ... We meet his amazing mate & She is one of my favorites 💛 Can't wait for book #13 to be here 💛
Amazingly quirky!
This is the 12th in the series but still carries on the continued story in general while allowing the individual romantic relationship to flow. I can only recommend start with the first installment and join this unique and amazing paranormal craziness.
One of my favorite series
I love this series and eagerly wait for all her new books. Each books (story) takes on their own personality while weaving a common theme through the series. My Warrior weaves through the series but left me wanting more character development. There are many characters from previous books I would love to see, but My Warrior personality focus on a few main characters. Hopefully, we will see more new characters and old favorites again as the series continues.
