In a superpowered society, there is nothing ordinary about evil anymore. Heroes, trained and licensed to protect and defend the public against supervillains, stand above all the rest. Not everyone can be a hero, however, and there are those who would use their powers to serve the people without legal sanction. But do they fight for justice in the shadows, or for reasons known only to themselves? Whatever they fight for, they are called...vigilantes.
Koichi Haimawari couldn’t make the cut to become an official hero, so he uses his modest Quirk to do good deeds in his spare time. Then one day a fateful encounter with some local thugs leads him to team up with two other unlikely heroes. None of them really know what they’re doing, but they’ve got the courage—or foolishness—to try. But they soon discover fighting evil takes more than just being brave…

It's a Interesting Concept
This manga in my opinion has shown great potential to run along the main my hero timeline, it's obvious there could be a way as in the tv show the flash how heros from other series accidentally and not accidentally end up needing each other and or fighting each other before they learn the other sides reasoning. But currently this book has just the right ammount of action thrill and downtime too make good book/manga, i think that this series COULD become marginally better then the main series.
Not appropriate for kids
WARNING * PORNagraphic images. If you are like me and just grabbing My Hero Academia stuff because it's on a family members xmas list, then you wouldnt know this stuff is so awful. From the cover art, I figured it was age appropriate for the 12 yr old that requested it. After getting it in the mail and seeing the back cover I knew immediately it was going back! Buyer beware! Skip to next item on their list and leave this for the adults 😬
A Slow Start to a Spinoff to MHA
I'll admit that I'm a fan of the My Hero Academia franchise and thought I'd give the Vigilante series a good read from the very beginning. I'll admit that the My Hero Academia Vigilantes Volume 1 is edgier compared to it's counterpart with a darker theme and more action/fighting scenes in it with the additional background to the World of Quirks, the Hero System, and behind the scenes look to some of the Pro Heroes and Detectives we all know and love. That's in addition to the fine fan service found with Pop Star and All Might Quirkless counterpart Knuckle Duster. With that being said, it's a little too dark for my personal taste and did drag on with the last two chapters.
Awesome Spin-off to MHA series!
I saw this Manga appear when I was searching for My Hero Academia merchandise and figured I would give it a shot. This is actually is one of the first manga's I have read as I usually just watch anime's but I just loved watching MHA so much that I wanted to experience the mangas as well. I am SO GLAD I did too because while MHA Vigilantes is written by another author and the art is drawn again by another artist it appears that this project has Horikoshi's (the creator of MHA) blessing and they really knock it out of the park! From the story telling to the artwork it all just fits into the MHA weekend so well. Not to mention I am a huge fan of the three new main caharacters! Can't wait to see them all again in volume 2! Knuckleduster, The Crawler and PopStep all the way!
Well done side story; if you need more My Hero Academia buy this!
I'm probably in the minority in that I haven't never seen the main anime and have only read the manga collections. Once I finished the last volume available I really wanted more My Hero Academia and found out this side story existed. Since the books are very reasonably priced I decided to pick this up. It's everything I wanted. Fun powers, a good story, nice set up for future editions. Also, I love the grumpy, beer drinking Batman. The quality of the book itself is exactly would you expect from other VIZ manga books.
This is the best original concept from MHA
I just love the artwork, the story line, and all the characters I hope it’ll become an anime because it’s so good. If you’re a true fan of my hero academia and your tired of waiting fo the next my hero academia volume to come out read this while your waiting I’m exited for the next one!!!!!!!
Could not put the book down!
Such a cool manga to read, I saw it at my local comic shop but didn't have the first volume so I ordered it here and must say if you are my hero fan or just a manga reader fan this one is a great pick up! pretty much read the whole book in one sitting when it arrived and the book came in perfect condition!
Interesting
I love My Hero Academia and while shopping for one of those books I came across My Hero Vigilantes. Since I had to wait for my My Hero Academia Manga to come in I decided to read this one. I really liked it, and can’t wait to see what happens next. This first book I found to be kind of slow, but hope it will pick up in the next book. Overall, I enjoyed it.
Be careful if this is for a anyone younger than a teen.
I'm sure the book is fine, but I need to return it because the back photo is not appropriate for my 11 year-old. Thats my fault for not being vigilant, so its of no fault to the publisher. With anime, I should know better!
Amazing!!!
If you love My hero academia and your looking to go deeper into the world and see what was going on before this is a must read! This is my first manga ever. I traditionally watch anime but i feel in love with my hero so much that I wanted to read the manga as well and explore what else the world had to offer. This definitely was the manga I was looking for and I can’t wait for vol 2 to drop in October!!

If Only:
If only this spinoff could be adapted their own anime show. Despite this, I highly recommend this manga.
Attention Grabbing!
It's really interesting so far, and I cannot wait to read more. I like that it is different from the main story.
Lewd drawings included
Images are not appropriate for kids. And it’s not just the back cover. So disappointing!
Three thumbs up yeah I said three
Vigilantes will always be better than the goody two shoes heroes in BNHA
I enjoy it.
I enjoy the manga. It’s different, but it’s good.
Canon side stories
Back story, side story, more heroes
Five Stars
Great spin-off /prequel Heroes hunting drugs, if your familiar with the my hero world you'll appreciate this book
Nice side story
A grittier look into the MHA universe
A +
My son love it
Thanks for releasing this.
It should've been a hardcover collected volume instead of 6 separate but it's alright. Story is good.

My Hero -Side Story
Exactly as described and it was a great gift!
Excellent prequel!
I like how it gives a closer look into the average every day world of my hero academia.
She loved her gift
My girlfriend lives the series and had no idea about Vigilanties. She loves it and is reading it now.
Fan of MHA
I love this side manga of MHA it's a good read!
I love it
Came in great condition
Very good product!!
Very good product!!
Good.
Good.
good condition
it was great! it's in pretty good condition, other then a bit of "chips"? it looks like a small cutout of the book- but it's small and insnifacant- so I dont mind.
Vigilantes
I love this book I really really wish they would turn it into an anime. It's just such an emotional and amazing series
The start of something great
A great introduction to the world of My Hero without having to dive into the main book. Any fan of shonen manga or American comics will love this series .

Deserves more attention
Really good and it deserves more attention
Vigilantes Delivers
Even though not written or illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi, this series remains super faithful to the source materials and creates a compelling and engaging story in its own right!
How cool vigilante heros are.
Everything was good can't complain.
The untols story of My Hero Academia
Definitely pick this up you enjoy the world of My Hero Academia. Lots of side story of lesser known heroes and of course just a nice slice dark in each story.
Great read
Great read.
Very good
This is a good series for any one who likes hero academy . It shows you more of the behind the scenes action of hero society.
Good read
Interesting characters I’ll look forward to reading in the next volume. If mha wasn’t enough like western comics than this is the manga for you.
Great Product
No issues. Came as described.
It reads good
It’s good for reading without getting paper cuts from real books, jacob kenamer agrees it’s a good book and that it is a book
Pretty neat
A cool look into what happens when youre not a legal "hero"

Such a surprisingly good series!
Character ideas
Didn't really like how his main characters are imitations of marvel/dc characters that I like. Just doesn't sit well with me
Big fan!!
Very good read!
Loved it
A very good spin off of the main series. But, it still has it’s own identity, and keeps you reading!
Great spin-off
I love the My Hero Academia universe, and I am happy to see more of it. Please translate more please!
Best Manga besides DragonBall
Delivery was fast... books were great!
Great, should get the first two volumes instead to know if you like it though
The order came in perfect condition, first volume was pretty okay too for a spin-off series
Great
Very good for Christmas present
Good value
Got this for my son he really enjoyed it.
Good read
I like the book and highly recommend it to anyone who like bnha.

Intriguing
All taste is subjective, so it’s good to be able to put your opinion out there. I am a gigantic My Hero Academia fan. I started it around New Year’s going into 2019. I watched all the seasons (dub) on streaming, bought the Blu-ray’s, and bought merch (shirts, figurines, etc). Knowing that the fourth season is not until October, I bought all the manga. I am reading the mainline MHA manga, which the anime so far adheres closely to. I still enjoy it, however, the prospect of a series set in the same work (albeit it a different author) was interesting to me since it is sanctioned and not a fanfic. I’ve only read chapter one (or “episode 1” as the book actually refers to chapters) and can come here to give a five star rating. If my opinion changes, I’ll be sure to update, but the characters are likeable. This is basically fleshing out the world more, as with something like Marvel comics, you have a grand assortment of heroes and villains. A street level look like this is a different feel but a welcome addition. Also, being able to start a series set in the same world as MHA and not knowing a lot of what is going to happen from the anime, is awesome. I think this would likely make a decent anime itself, but I won’t hold my breath on that or ask for it. If that happened, I would certainly consume it, but I wish for MHA to have continued success first and foremost. Episode 1 - establishing our characters. You get a look at Nice Guy, Pop Step, and Knuckle Duster as well as their powers (or lack there of) Episode 2 - the group begins to slowly form (the trio), as Knucks is attempting to take on Nice Guy as an apprentice. Pop Step is kind of an entanglement at this time and not committed to them. We also get a cool cameo from Eraserhead and a pretty cool battle. Episode 3 - the closest to a filler episode, but the main character rebrands himself. Episode 4 - a look into the main characters past, residence, and continued conflict with instant villains. Episode 5 - solid episode that ends with a lead in to who is causing a lot of the trouble.
A good start!!!
It was a good start to a side manga for a really popular series, and the fact that we got to see a lot of fan favorites like Aizawa and Mic here and there. I didn't go into this knowing what this would be like, so it's good to expect some low grade Spiderman and a mix of deadpool because that's kind of what these guys are! They're doing what the hero's should be doing, and are kind of doing but they're doing...more...? They do what a hero does just in a morally gray kinda way and so you kinda have the rest views now: the hero, villains, and the vigilantes and I'm always kinda here for it
If the flagship title's motto is "Plus Ultra!" then Vigilantes' motto is "meh, maybe later"
This book is boring. The characters are nothing but tropes. There are no character arcs. No backstories. Just a bunch of random (poorly drawn) violence and boring, predictable writing. If you have a fanfic of My Hero Academia where the self insert is a loser with a lame power who manages to do something sort of cool with that power (but not as cool as Aizawa-senpai! He saves me! Notice me Aizawa-senpai!) you probably wrote this book. Maybe it will get better when they flesh out the story and the characters more but you don't need to read this if you're a fan of the My Hero Academia. It does nothing to add to that setting or the characters of that story.
An enjoyable addition to “academia”
This is an interesting take on the my hero academia world where the main characters act outside the law.I enjoyed it and will keep reading. It expands on the world and on the drug “trigger”The main female character is in a very skimpy outfit and sexually harassed twice in volume 1. This series seems to skew toward an older audience, so think twice before picking it up for younger readers.
Still not good after a second read
Let's see, pop step is just there to be a fan service woman in distress. Koichi is a less interesting Deli. Knuckle duster is just annoying. I am interested in the drug related plot , but the main three could be removed entirely, and the book would've stronger. This non canon book is not worth it. It is dull as heck.
The "Quirky" spin-off I've been waiting for!
I thoroughly enjoyed the first volume. I loved all the hidden anime and comic references it contained. This new series takes you behind the scenes of what happens when the pro-heroes are duking it out with the crazy villains. A good read and definitely would recommend to anyone who enjoys the mainstream series...and even Batman LOL
Enjoyable for MHA Fans!
I like that Vigilantes doesn’t take itself too seriously. Also, the end pages and behind the scenes info are my fav!

Read it
I have watched the anime for My Hero Academia, and I would prefer to watch this than the other one. This is the Batman of of my hero Academia universe.
Gives you a different outlook
Just amazing you see a different view point of the mha world. You also get to learn a but more about the other characters.
Good book
It is a good spin off book I love this book

This is what's happening outside the limelight
If you want to see what life would be like Deku had he never met All Might, this is as close as you can get officially. I love how kind of bad the protagonist's quirk is, and how how this side story reinforces the idea that not everyone can be a superhero, but doing the good you can is just as worthwhile. I'm going to have to pace myself before I read everything in one day...
Worth the read
It a really funny and exciting manga, I didn't like the first two protagonist at first but they started to grow on my less than half way through the book. I recommend it if you like mha it's a good read :)
Really good. A must-read for fans of MHA
Different but interesting take on the MHA universe. Wheras the main series focuses on Dekus journey to become the greatest hero and all the top heroes and most powerful villains, this story is about the more everyday and small time lives of this quirk filled universe. Different perspective as the vigilantes in this story are considered criminals, but the different point of view of the vigilantes points out some of the flaws in the quirk filled society. A lot of fun and definitely worth reading if you can't get enough of the MHA universe [like me]
5 *
Perfect spin off of the main series. Gives the Hero universe much more depth and helps the characters to feel real. Can't wait to read more.
Great seller
I think this is the 14 th in a row purchased makes my son's day when a new one arrives

Great spin-off
An interesting and fun spin-off of the well known manga "My hero academia".
good
haven't read it yet but it looks good
Amazing
Very interesting story. I definitely recommend it
A spin off done right!
An amazing spin off
Cool little spin off!
Really enjoyed this as a concept and I really want to see a part two. More please! PLUS ULTRA!!! :D
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes
Very much enjoying this spin-off series. I love the main series for the wide-range of well-designed characters and how the story progresses, it always leaves you immediately wanting to read the next chapter. This spin-off follows a small team of "Vigilantes" which are Heroes who operate without a license and typically work outside the law. The main characters in this are very interesting and I am excited to see what the story does with them, I also enjoy the frequent cameos and appearances from characters from the original series too.
Ok
My 10 year old daughter likes it, and that’s all that matters. It arrived fairly quickly as well.

As advertised
The kid loved it, but you can't go wrong with a book about a show the kid really enjoys
Need more My Hero Academia content?
I am huge fan of My Hero Academia and since I caught I really wanted more story! This series is a great way to see more of the MHA world and you get surprisingly attached to the characters very quickly!
Great book
Great book
GOOD
its good
Nice quality
This manga is worth it, drawings, print paper...
