I learn something new every time I read this book. It encourages me and gently highlights areas where I need to improve. This quote pretty much sums up the book: “Every stage of life has its own temptations and dangers, and Satan will do all he can to exploit them. As we grow older, we may not face the same temptations we did when we were young—but we will still be tempted. And because they may be different from those we experienced before, they can catch us off guard.”

Billy Graham has long been a favorite of my mothers and I enjoyed watching his television programs. This book was that and so much more. He had so much insight and honesty about his walk with God. The part I love about this book is that he breaks it all down in steps to follow. It is a wonderful book and I will refer to it again and again.

This was an easy read and covered everything about life. What we do and what we shouldn't do. It was as if Billy Graham was speaking to me. It answered questions I wanted answered before asking anyone. GREAT BOOK FROM GREAT MAN.

I was looking for a book that would lead me to a closer relationship with my Savior. This is the first book I've read by Mr. Graham. The book touches on many themes I can personally relate to, and I think I can personally relate to them because they are such classical, universal themes in life. It had a definite and clear progression, ending in discussions of life's stages and pointing out that Christians have a purpose for being here in this life that goes far beyond just accepting Christ and waiting for heaven. I recommend this book to everyone. If you aren't a Christian hopefully it will change you. If you are already a Christian it could change you as well, but more importantly it will strengthen you. Billy Graham has left us a lasting legacy with this book. It would do well for us to read it.

There are tons of Scripture references to lead me to study the Word deeper on any given topic. I love the real life experiences the author shares. I am by far a book reader and I knew it was time to get closer to god.I was laid up for 6wks due to a torn tendon. I told my pastor pray for me cuz this was not going to be easy. Im a goer NEVER a sitter so I knew that if i was going to sit ,,well Billy Graham was going to be the one.So I look and my heart was drawn to this book. Im hook It is like im in a room all by myself with Billy having this talk. Im getting sooo much out of it.Thank You Billy Graham I plan to get more of your books. My friend said well God got my attention the hard way. I do Homecare Hospice and i love working for God and Taking care of his children.

Billy Graham has always been spot on relating God to our lives. Jesus must be our everything everyday. We need to be filled with the Spirit and Billy explains how in story type format. Loving this Journey, and the book!

I love how Billy Graham writes, very plain and easy to understand. In this book he takes you through life as a Christian. He doesn't condemn and tells you your not always going to do what your suppose to but there's forgiveness through Christ if you ask.

This is a detailed explanation of living a Christian life. For any struggling Christian, Billy Graham provides great and understandable insight. Very valuable to me. I believe Christ led me to his books to help me in my faith walk.

This book is not just for the aged, it should be read by all ages. Life is uncertain and we never know when we will die. so we need to live each day in view of eternity. How will our having lived on planet earth make a difference? We have the opportunity to encourage, build a legacy, to make life better for others. I love the simplicity of this book. Billy Graham is an awesome author & man of God.

This is one of my favorites of all the books I own. However I have the book on CDs, it is abridged and is great to listen to anytime Im going to be in the car for a period of time, or for family listening, or listening to in bed before sleep. It gives a lot of great advice, and seems to sum up most of what Billy Graham has ever said, and most everything you need to know to be good Christian. I try not to get into religious politics or denominationalism, so I wont get into that, but I really love this book and am very appreciative of it.

Billy Graham's insight into the scripture as it affects our every day life is invaluable. This book is a positive addition to anyone's library.

VERY INTERESTING. EASY TO READ.

Wonderful easy book to read especially if you are new or want a taste of religion. The way Billy explains daily matters can be found in the Bible. I plan to read more of his works. Better to believe than not to believe no matter what religion you are or want to be. Plus it gives hope to our future.

I wish I had had this to read 34 years ago, when I was first saved.... the day I accepted Christ as my savior, and asked Him for the forgiveness of my sinful life, I was filled with a peace and joy that literally lasted for years before Satan was successful in drawing my attention away from my life in Christ and causing me to come off that cloud and land in a kind of "quicksand"... I knew my salvation was eternal and I never stopped recognizing God's love, mercy and forgiveness... when I thought about it! !!! My mind became so focused on the world, happiness in the flesh, and getting my Nursing degree, that I put my relationship with Christ in the "umbrella rack"... Rev. Graham's book gave me all the whys and reasons for those mistakes along with Bible truths, and directions for applying them, that could have kept it all or at least most of it from happening... I rededicated my life back to God's service about a year ago... I have never felt closer to Him... I hope I will have opportunity to share this wonderful "guide" with other Christians that Satan is "stalking" and with the guidance and love of the Holy Spirit keep them from making my mistakes.... Another way "Journey" blessed me and lifted my spirits was by helping me to realize that the stumbling blocks Satan placed in my path have been placed in the road of many other Christians.... just like me! !!! I thank my Heavenly Father for Mr. Graham and for blessing him with such a wonderful ability to teach, explain, and exhort with compassion, concern, and a true God given love for his fellow man.... This book is everything any follower of Christ of any age could gain insight in living the Christian life. Next to the Bible, Billy Graham's books stand out in truth, wisdom and instruction for the reader to learn and live by. I've given these 2 books as Christmas gifts to our grand daughters to inspire them to live a Christian life.

IF you want to read a great Christian book written by a Great christian author I would highly strongly recommend you to read this book. It is one of the best books I have ever read in my entire life. Besides the Bible of course. I would buy it for myself as I did or purchase it for a gift for someone else as I also did. Billy Graham hit a homerun with this book the Journey!

The Journey: Living by Faith in an Uncertain World, by Billy Graham is a wonderful read and can help anyone grow deeper in their faith and walk with God who reads it. Mr. Graham has a delightful way of writing and keeps you most interested. I didn't want to put the book down as it was so enlightening to me. I borrowed the book at first and after I returned it to its owner, I purchased two of these books on Amazon.com. One for myself and one to loan out to others.

It's one of the best books that i have ever read.The thing i like about the book is that it is written in a straight forward easy to understand manner.The christian concepts are very clearly explained. It's a good book.

I previously ordered 7 copies of "The Journey" by Billy Graham. Our men's group is in the midst of studying the book for the next 30 weeks at a weekly breakfast devotional. It is packed with wonderful guidance on how we are to live our lives. The book is perfectly divided into manageable sections that are just right for from a 30 to 50 minute devotion. It also is great in that it is written in such a way as to encourage participation. It is easily understood while at the same time elegant in its delivery of ideas. It is suitable for both those new to the faith as well as for "old" Christian soldiers.

The connection of stories to scripture and his description of all the different stages of life and God's expectations. It will be a great reference and I will definitely share it with my family.

This book came to me in excellent condition and I couldn't put it down. I purchased this book and his Angels book as well. This was the first time I have read a Graham book and I highly recommend both books. I hope to purchase other titles by Billy in the near future.

This is the best book on Christianity I have ever read. Dr. Graham tells his story in a simple way -- he walks the walk. And after so many years old Billy Graham is he keeps on ticking and taking a licking how Great is God to you too.

I received my order, the books were in good condition. I would order from this company again, but before the holidays.

I thought I ordered 2 new hard back books (both the same) from one seller. They came from two different sources and were paperbacks. One was OK but the other didn't look like a new book. I am willing to say I may have made a mistake in the ordering but they should have at least looked new. I wanted them as gifts and didn't have time to send them back. I probably will not order from that seller again.

Those of us who have followed Billy Graham and his ministry since the 1940's will buy and read this perhaps final book written by him, now age 87. We will buy copies for others. We appreciate everything about this man, his ministry, his wife, and family. We believe he answers our questions honestly as he points us to the Bible, which he truly believes. This book is the perfect companion to his previous autobiography, Just As I Am. Now, in the year 2006, other generations will take a look at the JOURNEY thru the perspective of Billy Graham, whom God definitely called as an evangelist. The book is divided into 4 sections to be read slowly and thoughtfully. It is for every age group. It gives the plan for living a life of peace in an uncertain world. The plan is outlined in the first section with a welcome to the journey; the great designer of the plan (God) and the great design, what happened as recorded in the book of Genesis, and how we can start over with a new beginning and head in the right direction. Section Two is entitled Strength for the Journey. The blueprint is found in the Bible and Billy Graham helps us to discover the plan for our life which leads, in the end, to heaven. His message is and has always been the same.Thankfully, the Graham children, especially his son Franklin Graham who is becoming a well known evangelist in his own right, is continuing the same message - God loves us, He created us, He sent His son to die for us (Jesus) - and whosoever believes in Him (Jesus, who rose again and became our personal saviour) shall have everlasting life. Section Three discusses challenges along the way - when we wander off the path, how to confront enemies within our souls and emotions that defeat us. When others disappoint us (thanks, Billy, you never have) we are given scripture to help us understand. Also discussed is dealing with suffering and loss, things that destroy us, and when life turns against us. The last section is how to stay the course, (one day at a time). The forks in the road, making an impact, and other thoughts and scripture. Then....our glorious hope - heaven at the end of our journey. Billy Graham, representing the gold standard for a religious leader, evangelist, and encourager to all peoples here on earth, tells us not to waste our life and not to be satisfied with anything less than God's plan for us.

"The Journey" by Billy Graham contains a mixture of theology and also practical biblical wisdom Reverand Graham has learned over the years. Among the topics covered include: 1. Basic theology - where did evil come from, how we struggle with sin, what Jesus Christ accomplished by His death on the cross and resurrection. 2. Strength for the journey - beginning the journey, what we can do to have a closer relationship with God (prayer, Bible study, time alone with Him, etc.). 3. Challenges along the way - things that can weaken our relationship with God (our flesh nature, emotions, the devil, suffering and loss, etc.). 4. Staying the course - what we can do to have a strong long-term relationship with God (making wise decisions, continued prayer/Bible study/time alone with God, passing on a spiritual heritage to the next generation, etc.). As with other Graham titles, the book's narrative runs smoothly, Biblically-based, and contains wise insights from a seasoned Christian. Read, enjoy, and be encouraged and challenged. Highly recommended!

If you want to "know" Billy Graham, two of his books stand out. The first, his autobiography, was written a decade ago. Fittingly entitled, "Just As I Am," it is one of the most enjoyable and inspirational spiritual autobiographies written in the past 100 years. The second is the current volume: "The Journey: Living by Faith in an Uncertain World." Like his autobiography which highlights God's grace in his own life, "The Journey" emphasizes faith in God's grace, even when life is confusing. Graham addresses life's most perplexing questions with a profund, unshakable faith in God's goodness. Admitting that this side of heaven he does not have all the answers, Graham honestly wrestles with the questions. Readers wanting a deep philosophical tome will likely not find their thirst quench here. However, those longing for practical answers gleaned from an experienced, mature believer, need look no further than "The Journey." Billy Graham must be one of the most famous Christians today and perhaps that might cause some people to buy this book - to read what the man who has spoken to more people on earth than anyone else has to say. I hope these people DO buy the book, as I'm not sure who else will - I have found it difficult to work out the target market for the book. The physical book was slightly disappointing as the pages were roughly cut and the font used for emphases was a strange, ungainly-looking italic. The front cover is plain but the rear cover has a photograph of Billy Graham - a very widely-known face that no doubt my fellow train passengers recognised. The occasional name-dropping in the book (John F Kennedy, for example) reminds you that Billy Graham really has met the great and the good, and yet he comes across as a very humble and godly man, aware of his own failures and shortcomings. I was impressed. This work is Billy Graham's explanation of why you should become a Christian, how to live the Christian life and how to look forward to heaven. It's written with all the experience and wisdom of an 87 year old Christian who has travelled widely and communicated with people from all walks of life - and this comes through very well. The book is peppered with quotes from people who have written to him where they share their lives, thoughts, difficulties, and it's a real strength in the book that he can illustrate all his points not only with the Bible but with `real life'. His family, particularly his wife Ruth, also are mentioned many times in order to reinforce what he is saying, and it lends the book an intimate and friendly feel. It's a very easy read - the sentences are short, no complex subclauses, each page has several mini-headings so you can keep track of his arguments - and yet it is packed full of real meaty stuff. In some ways it reads as if designed for speaking, as a sermon, and this is one of its strengths as he lays out his argument clearly and precisely. The "prayer of commitment" occurs on page 52 of this 312 page book and the remainder of the book is about our lives as Christians - how we can be sure of our conversion, remain faithful, live godly lives and accept our responsibilities as believers. Billy Graham steers clear of all controversial topics, speaking in generalities about Christian ethics and behaviours, which made the book a less frustrating read than some which hold firmly to a particular viewpoint to which many Christians may not adhere. The underlying message of this book is that prayer and Bible study are the foundation for the Christian life and the way in which we will grow, mature and learn to know God better. His advice is always to pray more, to read the Bible, and this cannot be faulted. For me, it was a real pleasure to read a book that reminded me once again why I became a Christian - and also recalled to memory the many ways in which we all fail as Christians along the road in terms of our behaviour to others, to ourselves and to God, and offered advice in avoiding some of these pitfalls. I liked the fact that Billy Graham said there were many things which he did not know and understand about God, about the world, about suffering - he made the journey towards understanding worthwhile. This is no American self-help book with ten magic bullet points to becoming a proper Christian - it's a book which doesn't downplay the difficulties, frustrations and questions that Christians may have, but also gives hope for the future and the confidence that it is all worth it.

Here's Mr. Graham's magnum opus - his final word. He seeks to answer those big questions every person has asked at some point. Questions like: Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going? How should I live? He writes, "God has given us a blueprint for living - but we must know what it is and then put it into action,". That statement almost makes it sound like Mr. Graham's interpretation of Christianity is a moralistic one - follow these principles and all will be OK. However, that's not essentially what the minister is saying. His writing makes it clear that no matter how good a person is every person falls short of God's standard. As a result, every person needs forgiveness. And that's Mr. Grahams message - forgiveness. It's the one he's been preaching for decade after decade. God loves you. God wants a relationship with you. God's forgiveness is offered through His Son Jesus. Why does God allow bad things to happen? Mr. Graham says he's not sure, but He is confident that God is good and allows things for a reason. He says there is purpose we may never know in this lifetime. He says, "But at the end of it, it's going to be the coming of Christ, and that's the hope that we really have ..." Graham boldly declares that there's no other answer to the problems of humanity than the good news of Jesus, the Messiah, the peacemaker, the sacrifice, and the King. These are the writings of a humble 87 year old man. One who claims he has regretted not spending more time in prayer, and reading his Bible.

Another reviewer said, "What's not to love about Billy Graham?" So true. He was an amazing person. And he shares his life of wisdom in a way that makes it easy to receive. The bite size chapters make it a pleasure to read, contemplate, and meditate on. Thankful to have found this book.

How can you go wrong with Billy Graham? You can't! If more people in the world would live half the life he has lived, it would dramatically increase the good around here! So, I find myself reluctant to say anything negative about the book, because, after all, it is Billy Graham. Here is what I enjoyed. This book deals with Mr. Graham's perspective of the journey of life. He covers nearly all of life's moments, milestones, and potential struggles. He offers in each of those his prescription (Biblically based) for a well-lived journey. It is a long book that attempts to cover a multitude of situations, problems, and strategies for a journey with God. My concern is (and really this is more of a preference) some issues that are addressed cannot be handled adequately in a few pages (i.e. temptation). It began to feel like the evening news - where the many (and there are many) aspects of the journey are dealt with in sound bites...and sometimes run the risk of sounding a bit trite. Was that his intention - I am convinced that it was not! What I was really hoping for was more personal stories with struggles and conversations of his journey - and instead it was his commentary on how to live. I can HIGHLY recommend this book to people who would like to get a broad picture of what a journey well-lived with Christ should and could be! However, for me personally, I just can't give it the five-star rating that I was hoping to.

I just finished reading this book. It is really a great book. Billy Graham directs you to scripture all of the time thru out this book. In everyday life we are all on a journey and when you read this book it will uncover exactly which journey you are on. He is constantly directing you back to Gods' word. He is also explaining to you why you should have a personal relationship with God for yourself. It is very important. This is a must read.

All of Billy Graham's books are annointed with the power of God Almighty. He himself is saturated with Christ. What a desperately needed blessing he has been to our world! Billy Graham is ever the true believer but never an ideologue. He understands sin, Satan, and our Savior. His ability to interpret the Bible to form the rationale for good living is nothing short of miraculous. He points to his own trials, failures, and triumphs as well as those of others. Whatever is wrong with America now, we need to look at what was right to produce Billy Graham. He often references his mother and her knowledge of the Bible. Therein must lay a principal source of his knowledge, strength, and faith. Yet like John Paul, his is never rigid about the value of families in themselves. God has his plan for all of us, Graham reiterates. We need only start from here and go forward.

I have gone back numerous times to various chapters that apply to my journey and shared with a few friends. Scripturally based and on point!

The Journey is an easily readable, comfortable and understandable book. It is filled with a very special man's understanding, appreciation, and love for God and his fellowman. I contains a lot of common sense wisdom gained over a lifetime of serving God. I enjoyed it's insights. Reading it has made me a better person. I have a greater feeling of being loved by God despite all my faults. I also bought the book as gifts for other family members.

Tha Journey: Living by Faith in an Uncertain World has been a blessing in my life. When I was given this book I had thought "Oh boy another Billy Graham Book" and I love Billy Graham BUT this book is so much more. It is a guide for living and is full of RICHNESS that you can turn to in any situation and receive GLORIOUS advise. Blly Graham is an instrument from God and I believe God speaks right through him. I EVEN GAVE A COPY TO MY DAUGHTER WHEN I LEFT HER FOR HER FIRST DAY/YEAR OF COLLEGE. I keep it close at hand to always look up answers for my life. GET IT, READ IT, GIVE IT!!!!!
