J. D. Robb CD Collection 4: Witness in Death, Judgment in Death, Betrayal in Death (In Death Series)

I've been buying these Robb "In Death" crime collections on audio for my nighttime "story time" for quite a while now. Nora Roberts writes a good, solid, dependable crime tale each time. I'm not sure of why she's chosen to place the time line in "the future" - it is not apropos to the story - but then it doesn't detract from it either. The heroine's rich sexy Irish husband seems to find his way into most of the tales either as a suspect or a surreptitious helper but I accepted his addition due to the added juicy sex scenes...sigh.... The narrator is top rate. Being an aficionado of books on tape I can attest to the fact that Susan Ericksen is the best. She's actually the one who moves these books from ordinary to exceptional and brings them to life. These 3 book collections are a thrifty way of purchasing Robb's set. I'm giving the same review to all of these audio collections as they are quite equal. Well worth your time and money....bg

I received one extra on Judgement in Death. I did not receive disc #4 on Witness in Death. 4-star rating -- Contacted Seller about the missing disc. Promptly received the disc in the mail in less than a week. Getting ready to place another order with this seller.

I have been listening to these in order and I think the stories before this set were more better in my opinion. However, there are things in these that I like too. Honestly anything by Nora Roberts/JD Robb is GREAT!!!! I am a loyal fan and will be forever.

All of the J D Robb In Death series are narrated by Susan Ericksen, a marvelous voice actress who does the main character voices so that there is never a doubt who is speaking, and enough variety in miscellaneous characters so that you're never bored. And, of course, the series writing is beyond compare.

I have Collections 1-5 now and love to listen to this series when I am driving long distances. Highly recommended.

I like listening to JD Robb's stories. I especially like the stories of Eve, a homocide police lieutenant. Who's married to a billionaire.

Been a while since I read the books. Wanted something for longer holiday road trip and this worked just great. Been long enough since I read books that the way the plot lines unfolded was nice. Helped make the trip easier.

Most of these books are at least 7 Cds a piece and at least 7hrs of listening from the public library. These books are only 5 disc and 5 hrs long. I'm a bit suspect if these are the entire book or if they are cut down to only 5 cds.

Enjoyed listening to it. J.D. Robb and Nora Roberts are a good combination. Would definitely purchase more audio books by them

I love these stories and I really like to listen to them. I recommend them to all if they like J.D. Robb or mystery stories with a little romance along with it.

Love the J. D. Robb death series, they are totally addicting. I listen to them on my commute. My husband bought me two collections for Christmas, now I am hooked and had to have them all!

Can you tell me why these CDs will not play in my vehicle CD player? It seems I have to insert and eject the CD anywhere from 5-20 times before it will play. Other CDs work just fine.

Sad that this was an abridged version. Next time I will read the small print and make sure that I get what I really wanted.

All of the Briliance Audio CDs have many blank gaps that skip parts of the stories. DON'T BUY THEM!

Great series about Eve Dallas. Wonderful to listen to while driving. Keeps me awake and entertained while driving all over Virginia.

I have been reading and listening to JD Robb books for years. I love the characters. They are interesting, entertaining, and you don't have to strain your brain to enjoy them. GREAT!

I absolutely love jd robb. I can't stop reading/listening to them. I can't get enough of them. Read them today!

Very disappointed for two reasons. The first reason is my fault for not reading carefully to find that all three of these are ABRIDGED. OK, the best parts are there, but I still felt cheated. Most importantly however, especially in Betrayal in Death, the voice characterizations are WRONG!! If you have listened to the unabridged versions you will hear the huge and disappointing differences.

Catching up on the whole series on audiobooks. Doesn't disappoint.
