Infernal Devices box set

I fist was introduced to the Shadowhunter world when I read "City of Bones" in the Mortal Instruments series. I have now read that series at least 3 times, and have watched the movie and the TV series. Jace and Clary, Simon, Alec and Magnus are my friends. This series is a little darker, a little creepier - I guess because it's set in London and has that "Jack the Ripper" feel. But I loved the characters - and the intense love triangle. I couldn't see my way to a HAE, which is essential for me these days. I already knew a little about what would happen, since the Infernal Devices story takes place before the Mortal Instruments, and has characters that were already introduced. But I fell in love with Tessa, Jem and Will in this series - their nobility and strength, and their care for each other. I love Ms. Clare's world. It's a reflection of ours with many of the same prejudices and problems, just slightly altered. Read the Mortal Instruments first and then take on this series. You won't be disappointed.

AMAZING!!! I had been on the fence for years, admiring the beautiful covers but not too much interest. finally just leapt and holy crap. I wish I had done it sooner so I would've had more rereads under more belt. Such an excellent series. Wanting to read Mortal Instruments next, but I really really love will and Tessa (<---ship) and jem is awesome too. I am just afraid of mentally tarnishing this book which is silly and not something I have worried about before. probably because other series, like VA I read as they came out and was just so desperate for me I jumped into spinoffs and new series. anyways READ THIS SERIES

I bought the used book that looks like new option. I was kind of scared of how the quality will come (we know that sometimes they lie of how good the condition of the books are) but this were awesome! Good quality and I love this trilogy l, definitely worth it.

The set is beautiful & the writing is amazing! So glad I purchased!

I really appreciated the setting being in London and the whole idea of the shadow world being back in time from TMI. Magnus Bane remains my favourite character but I just didn't connect well enough with this trilogy. The story progression was a bit slow for me at times but I feel like if it wasn’t then a lot of connection to the characters and their relationships would have been lost. The twists surrounding Tessa’s conception and her family I really liked! Even though I found her insufferable at times I like that she was something unique, something we had never seen before. It makes it seem like the limits of this world are just endless! I didn’t feel any real strong emotions towards the plot or the story though. I didn’t feel sad anyone died, I wasn’t really shocked by how Clockwork Princess ended. For me my rating for this book more comes from the emphasis on bonds and relationships and the meaning behind those in this book. It really challenged my traditionalist mindset towards loving one person at a time. I have to say that as a whole I did enjoy this trilogy but I think I enjoyed The Mortal Instruments more.

I bought this when it was £10.99 and I Thought that’s a decent price for a box set. It arrived quicker than it said it would which is always a pleasant surprise. My only issue is that the really shiny covers are easily damaged when they rub against things inside my bag so that the edges are ruined and the spine doesn’t look half as good anymore. I also prefer a matte finish but ah well. I detest this series. It’s so hard to read. The plot is no where to be found and the characters are dull. Except jessamine but she’s Hardly featured in clockwork angel and I don’t know if I can bring myself to read clockwork prince. We shall see. Lots of people love the series of course which Is fine I’m a big fan of the mortal instruments series so I get it. Even though I don’t enjoy the infernal devices I might read the last hours book to see if it’s any good.

I’m so happy with this purchase! Amazing price for all three and it came in a slip case. I was expecting the old editions as the picture suggests but got the new editions with the beautiful spine and blackfriars bridge on it. I’m so happy about them and so glad to add them to my Cassandra Clare collection. A big recommend from me!

Bought for present for 12 YO apparently couldn't put it down he loves the whole series, as does his 10YO brother though some people may want to vet the books as to suitability for their child. Probably an easy approval rating from your child, highly recommend.

This is an amazing set of books. The characters are relatable yet inspiring. I highly recommend to fans of anything between twilight and Harry Potter. I have read books by Cassandra Claire but this is by far my favourite series. Its about a girl, who was oblivious to this secret supernatural world, harnessing her powers and is a novel that'll pull your heartstrings make you laugh and make you wishing for more.

The package arrived on time and in good condition. I am quite pleased, the only problem was that I made the mistake and I order the box set with the wrong covers that I wanted. I really want the new comic strip on the side of the covers!!!!

I love these books but the delivery of them was not the best. When I get books I expect to arrive in a good condition looking fresh and brand new and that is not what I received.

Bought these for my sister and she can't stop reading them. Had an issue with delivery but once I messaged the seller, they immediately got in touch and fixed the problem. They sent off a new box set which arrived within a couple of days. Very happy with the service!

Favourite of shadowhunters books. I was so worried it wouldnt live up to TMI or TDA ( i read those 1st) but Cassie outdid herself and this trilogy is probably my favourite! Three places i spent my entire life growing up in UK is London, York and North wales, makes me super excited these are key locations for the books too!

Loved this series, I love the characters and the story. I got super attached to the characters. Didn’t want the books to end. The first book was a little slow but the second and third books were amazing and so much better than the first. I can’t wait to read chain of gold

Love is rich with honey and venom. I'd never expected myself to find such an immense pleasure to read a series set in Victorian Era. I've never read any classic romances nor do I particularly have any taste in romance novels - I'd not known that 'The Infernal Devices' is a whole pack of electrifying adventures and love so true that had made my veins go all rocking! The proses, poetries were so, so good - though not all I understand. But still, they were so lovely, enchanting and touching. I've no words. Cassy, you are truly amazing. The characters are really strong and gripping. I swear I so much wanted to live their lives...well, I did, I imagined all those things that happened, the words they said, the touch, the institute, its walls, its rooms, everything. I could picture the Infernal Devices, demonic and heartless. I love the way Cassy had used the characters of other novels: Sydney Carton from 'A Tale of Two Cities' ; Mr. Rochester and Jane from 'Jane Eyre' and many others - I don't know any of them since I don't read classics but after reading this series I've decided to read classics and 'A Tale of Two Cities' will be on top of my reading list. The Thames song and the mentioning of lines from the poem 'Prothalamion' - sweet Thames, run softly, till I end my song - during Jem and Tessa meeting on The Blackfriars Bridge was so rapting and beautiful, I was rereading it endlessly. There are so many beautiful lines in this novel that I almost had to stop to breathe. This is the first series-novels-that is so hilarious. I cannot forget Bridget for her dreadful songs. They were all so mournful and there always had to be poor William in her songs - though not always. Will's poems and jokes were muy chistoso. I was laughing all the time. The funniest part was his 'Demon Pox' song - "Demon pox, oh demon pox, I had it all along Not the pox, you foolish blocks, I mean this very song- " and him referring Gabriel LIGHTWOOD as Gabriel LIGHTWORM. 🐛. JAJA. I'd a blast guys! James, Tessa, Will - they are all so full of desires and amusing. Their souls are knitted together for eternity. I adore them. I love them. All of the three are my fav, I can't say any one of the three. Just like Tessa had her heart for Jem and Will, I can't decide who is the best. I've my heart for all three of them - though not out of romantic pursuits! I'M NOT CATASTROPHICALLY IN LOVE WITH THEM. Women empowerment has been strongly depicted throughout the story. Charlotte, Sophie, Agatha, Jessie Bridget, Cecily, Ella, Tessa and others - they are fearless and not to be messed with. They all are Boadicea. The great warriors! Henry was so innocent and cute all the time. I love him and I love his inventions though they were quite destructive. Balios and Xanthos- a big thumbs up to both of them👍. Magnus - he is pretty interesting. I guess he is bisexual. I don't know, I felt it sometimes while reading about his feelings for Will. But he had cleared it was not so to Woolsey. I'm sorry, guess I'm just blurting. Antagonists they are the reasons for bringing all the terrific interests and the spine-chilling feeling through the nerves. The Dark Sisters, de Quincey, Mortmain, the demons, the mechanical creatures - truly horrifying. I've written so much about this series. I'm a real spoiler. But its nothing. I've not revealed anything in particular. I love Cassy for writing such a marvelous series and these lines are one of my favorites : -"Stars, hide your fires Let not light see my black and deep desires" - Shakespeare -"The measure of love is to love without measure" There are many and I've not intended to write a book admiring just how wonderfully these novels are written. Lots of love💕 to Cassy and her written works! xoxo =^.^=

I'm putting up this review on the book condition because it's Cassie Clare and everyone knows how brilliant she is! So, the book set arrived in perfect condition in a box; perfectly wrapped in a plastic sheet, books weren't damaged in the slightest bit. I love this edition's spine work! This edition has map in all it's three books. Don't think twice, go get it!

Una maravilla. Ya tenía la saga entera en español y quería releerla en inglés en estas ediciones con los lomos tan bonitos y no pude resistirme al precio. Coinciden en tamaño con el pack de la saga principal y vienen en perfecto estado. Los recomiendo mucho.

This is YA fantasy but I loved the characters more than anything..Tessa, Jem and Will are what makes this book formidable! This is a prequel to Mortal instruments and even if you have never heard of shadowhunters it's not difficult to follow. It's set in 1800s but the language is simple which was a relief because I was not in the mood to read classic. Honestly, I believe authors have really improved in making their female characters slighly bolder and having a mind of their own compared to YA fantasy like Twilight. These books are good because of its characters and how they much they care for each other. A good read if you are looking for some romance thrown into supernatural. Amazon delivered these books in good condition, partly because it was already in a boxed item.

I libri sono in condizioni impeccabili e sono arrivanti in anticipo rispetto alla data prevista. Purtroppo sono arrivati senza il cofanetto, semplicemente avvolti in un involucro trasparente. Sono un po' dispiaciuta, ma il prezzo era imbattibile quindi va benissimo così. Prendendo i libri singolarmente, senza cofanetto, li avrei pagati comunque di più.

Ho già letto i tre libri in italiano e voglio avere avere la versione originale in inglese e questa UK è economica e piccola, quindi anche comoda da inserire nella libreria di casa. :)

Great price, bought them for an advanced reading 12 year old.....it's probably a little young for her but she loves similar story styles. Well bound typical mass market books. Speedy delivery.

La box è arrivata in buone condizioni e anche i libri al suo interno. Unica cosa negativa è che la scatola, essendo di cartone, si è deformata appena ho tirato fuori i libri. Infatti ora la tengo solo per bellezza e avrei preferito se la scatola fosse stata fatta più rigida.

The books themselves are a great read. But the ‘box’ for the box set was ripped and torn to the point that I had to just toss it in the trash. All three of the books have the corners damaged, and one of the books had some pages bent.
