Wow!! If you ever decide to stop writing and head for the WH, you have my vote. Reading this book brought so much at what isn’t working for our country. It’s damaging to both sides of our political parties. If we don’t start listening to each other instead of talking over or pointing fingers like we have, it’s a no wonder no one watches the news. It’s all on the sports channels. It’s about time that we make a stand. We’re making strides in other faucets of our lives and maybe not fast enough but we’re getting there in science, engineering, political arena, arts, etc. This may be fantasy but I wish there was a woman like Candace that would run for President. Like I said above, she has my vote. Sorry that I used this as a forum to rant my worries of where our country is going. Our political parties can do so much together, it’s just frustrating. But buy the book. Ms. Armstrong has done it again. Great story!

J.A.Armstrong has hit jackpot with this one. This is the best book on the series. This continues the adventures of J.D. Reid and her wife Candice as Candy continues the run for President of the United States. This book has a range of emotion from sadness and grief to a loss in the family to the excitement of Shell giving birth to twins to anger over the events of the campaign. Candy has so much on her plate from running for President to still being Governor of New York. She also has to deal with the usual craziness the comes from the Fletcher-Reid clan. I loved this book and couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the next book to come out. I want to find out what kind of trouble this crew can get into and how they get out. If you haven't read any of the books in the series i suggest that you start with book #1 By Design .

I love this series, and I'm happy to say this is one of the best books in it. To be fair, it's been a long time since I read the earlier books, so they aren't fresh in my mind, but this one is definitely stronger than the last few. Although I was happy to devour them as soon as they were released, the last few books felt repetitive. Book 10 felt like it stretched it's legs a bit more. I was touched by not only the multitude of loving bonds in this family, but the inspirational campaign speeches given by Candace and Jameson. Imagine a world where we had leaders like that!

WoW!! As I finish each book in the Candace and Jameson Series I always think, she'll never top that. Well I was wrong. Election Day delivers and then some. It is full of humor, sadness, joy, triumph and love. And most importantly OPE of what is to come one day in the real world. Election Day It is a pleasure to read and leaves you eagerly awaiting the next installment. JA Armstrong is truly a gifted story teller and a joy to read. I love all her series but this one and Alex and Cassidy (under Nancy Healy) are my favorites.

I downloaded the minute I knew it was out. I couldn't put it down and read it all night long. JA Armstrong has created a very diverse family that laughs, loves and has loss together. She is very eloquent in her writing and I wish I could vote for Candace Reid!! A must have. The only downside to this book is now I am waiting for the next! Thank you JA Armstrong for your continued writing.

I am not an author but I do read a lot and I would think it would be hard to keep a series going and not get stale or cookie cutter like. This author definitely keeps it fresh and just makes you crave the next installment. I genuinely love this cast of characters and look forward to the next book. First female president and a lesbian to boot! The story is an easy read though it certainly helps to have read the preceding books and the Alex/Cassidy 2 books. Interesting story of the politics played in state and national elections. Good thing it's listed as fiction because it definitely has international conspiracy woven in the story line.

I loved it all, the chaos, the heated election time, the close family, the lunatics, the discussions, the Bible study, the humor and the love between all the couples. JA has turned out another amazing sequel and I recommend it highly. Please keep them coming.

The continuing saga of the Fletcher-Reid clan is nothing short of fantastic. It made me laugh, it made me cry, and it made me think. I think I speak for every reader of this series when I say Candace would be a welcome politician in our current USA atmosphere. Thank you to the author for another great read and I look forward to the next book.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. It is extremely well written, the politics were precise and to the point, yet easily understood. The characters come alive and the family dynamics is believable. I love the feelings that Jameson has for Candace and vice versa. I am now reaching for the Commander in Chief. This is a fantastic series with a fabulous list of characters. This is the type of family that everyone would like to have or at least know. I am on my way to looking forward to seeing what is in store for them in the next novel.

I so enjoy reading about Candice and Jamison and enjoyed this entire series so far and am looking forward to what comes next with this couple. I have no problem recommending this book.

Another great book by J.A. Armstrong. I really enjoyed Election Day. Basically episode 10 in the continuing story of Candace and JD. More family, more trouble, more fun.

What can you say about the first family well done. I love this series and all of the family members but the best part for me is Alex and Cassidy are part of the story line . Looking forward to what happens next .

Another great book in this series, can't wait for Commander in Chief. I do hope that a few loose ends are tied up in the book, want to see retribution for Jameson.

I’ve now read all that is available in the series and eagerly await the next installment. I often judge a book not only by plot but by the characters. Do I care what happens to them? Can I imagine them vividly? Would I like to hang out if they were real? All answers yes on this front !

I absolutely love this series. J.A. is one of my top 5 favs.

I began following this family of "lunatics" after I found Nancy's book Intersection. The Alex and Cassidy series will always be a favorite of mine. The By Design series though has started to touch my heart. I have laughed out loud and cried like a baby, both from happiness and heartache. The conversations and the banter between these characters is so easy flowing it draws you in to their world. It makes me want to be a part of this amazing family! I know most of the readers of this series are true fans of the author! But if by chance you are just browsing through looking for something to read, please join us. Maybe go back and start at the beginning like we did. Like Candace and Jameson's family we welcome everyone!

I know this is fiction, but I wish we had a candidate with the intuition and values as Candace Reid. At the core of each book is always home, heart and humor. J.A. Armstrong pulls another fabulous book out of her magic hat. This has to be my favorite of the series. It brings out the family dynamic of each relationship, from the Grandbabies to Grandma Pearl. It shows boundless love in each relationship, whether it be parent to child, wife to wife, sibling to sibling, or any of the many different relationships that bring the family closer together and abounding support each has in this family, even when they are not together. During the trials of everyday life to the complexity of campaigning to getting the poll results, the situations that Candace finds herself in is handled with finess. With politics, romance and some laughs this book was entertaining from the first line.

As well as a fan of the lesfic genre? J. A. Armstrong is the author for you! I got hooked on Ms. Armstrong's books in book one of this series. I think the story keeps getting better, with the dynamic between Candace and JD maturing and their love strengthening. I do suggest beginning with the first book in the series so you'll get to know the cast of characters and see how they change during the progression of the series. Ms. Armstrong knocked it out of the park in this volume. I can hardly wait to read the next.

Love the down to earth characters. Am a real fan ... except I need to send you a book on names. In this book for instance you 7 characters who have names beginning with the letter “M” and six characters with a name beginning with the letter J. The names are so close it is sometimes confusing ... for instance, Marianne, Michelle, Maddie, Melanie Maureen, are all frequent characters ... keeping them straight (no pun intended) is hard, but that might just be because i’m Old and many things confuse me easily. Great series though and can’t wait for next book. Thanks for the good times.

I have read all the books in this series via a Kindle Unlimited gift. They are amazing! Also my favorite author of all time! You won't be disappointed by any of her books. And she treats her fans like friends which is amazing.

A solid 5 star book! Loved, loved, loved it. The only problem with it is that it is fiction. We need a Candace and Jameson in real life! This only solidifies the affection that has developed for this family through the previous 9 books. This author knows how to write and allows the reader to live in this make believe world. Thank you, Nancy, for such a magnificent book that reminds the reader how fortunate we are to live in America even with our faults.

This book was another amazing book in this series. I cant wait fir the next one even though i just finished this one. This writer for me has evolved with each story. The writing is so interesting and thorough,with sexual intimacy in a refined but descriptive way. This writer to me belon gs up withe great writers of Radclyffe, Gerri Hill and RE Bradshaw. This one was another great and fun read about Candace and Jameson and Candace’s run for the White House. This is such a fantastic series. Just read it. That’s really all I can say about it.

It's okay to except the things you can't change. Guilt runs rapid with all the couple's. The characters are likeable. Love is in the air. If you follow this series you understand drama also follows. I love this author. I read everything. If you haven't started this series please do. If you have then you already know.

I really like this series - the characters are so fully drawn, the plots keep you hooked in and the writing is excellent. This Author, writing under her pen name or real name always delivers the goods! Can't wait for book 11! My only problem with this book is that given the real state of US Politics it should be considered a fairy tale rather than simple fiction. Our country has gone insane and I see no end to it. The dissapointment of the actual 2018 election has made it nearly impossible to completely enjoy a story with such an uplifting ending since we have no chance of such a happy ending in the real world. It is actually getting worse for the LGBTQ community, for immigrants, people of color and the poor. Face the facts - this country is, and will continue to be, owned by old, rich, white and bigoted men. Money is power and this 1% has it and will do whatever despicable things are required to keep it that way...

This is the 10th book in this series and I have loved them all. There is just one problem, I am anxiously waiting for book 11. Please hurry Ms. Armstrong. The plot for this series is solid with great characters. There were no slow areas. I rate this a solid 5 out of 5 stars.

They are so deep and satisfying. I love the characters, and there are many, in addition to Candace and Jameson. I love the depth of their love. And their family and friend relationships. I could go on and on. I can’t wait for the next book.

I have always enjoyed the story of Candace and JD. This one was a special one it took me into a time that we all wished had really become a reality. It kept me engaged and I can't wait to see what happens when the Reid-Fletcher clan hit the big white house.

I'm not usually a fan of politics or books about politics but J. A. Armstrong has pulled me into JD and Candace's world. From the beginning of their story till now I've loved seeing the progress they have made and I look forward to seeing their future!

This wonderful series is well written. The characters that will make you laugh, and will warm your heart. The story will make every lesbian hope that maybe SOMEDAY, someone like Candace come along will break that glass ceiling once and FOR ALL.

I have to say this straight away. I have never truly understood the American polling. In the UK, people vote and the person with the most votes wins. In America it's not that way. This book has brought me no further understanding. But what a thought. A woman who happens to be a lesbian becomes president of the United States. These books by Armstrong I often refer to as a soap opera. It's true they are. You start a journey with these characters. You live their lives, we experience their successes and failures, and we are with them when they laugh and cry. Their families become your family. Yeah yeah I know it's just a book. But it's a good book to get lost in. To let your imagination fly. Even for a few hours.. If you're gonna read these you should read them in order. Reason? You won't get the on going jokes. Seriously, they are a fun read. You don't have to work out anything. You just have to enjoy the ride. Enjoy!

I have to say from book 1 by design to book 10 in the series its a great read I would like Kline to get his comeuppance once and for all and Wolfe is someone you love to hate now Candice and JD are the happy ever after we all look for. Great writing and story really enjoyed it no house done again till i read it from cover to cover read it see what you think

My My !!! best one yet I have enjoyed the journey let's hope there are 10 more. I didn't want to read it in one go I wanted to savour the story,but after the first chapter I failed miserably I read it one one session. I think there will be another crossover with the Alex and Cassidy series I sincerely hope so. As to the storyline just read it in fact read all the author's books fantastic story lines I assure you will not be disappointed.
