Unfortunately, the box arrived to us damaged. The outer box that it was shipped in was not damaged, which means it was shipped out like this. Thankfully, the books were not damaged, but still makes for an embarrassing gift.

I bought these books for my daughter because she had originally read each one from the library. I found myself checking these books out from the libary month after month. When she bought her Kindle for her birthday last August, I immediately bought the series for her Kindle hoping there were no more monthly runs to the library for these books. She was very dissapointed that the Kindle version didn't include the fun graphics and font as in the book and still desired the paper/hardback books. I finally broke down and bought her this book set which I know she will read over and over again! For what it is worth, my daughter is 10 years old and constantly talks about the different scenerios in these books. This book series has inspired her to add to her journal (which she has been writing in for years) doodles and different stories along the way. She has learned a different approach at writing in her how journal, spicing it up with her funny stories. Great book series!

My daughter requested these books as an alternative to Diary of a Wimpy kid. It wasn't that she didn't like DOAWK but she had read all the current ones and wanted something different. I looked and found these and she loved them. My daughter was also impressed that the author was an African American woman! My daughter loves reading is a very good writer, so just seeing someone who has the same background as her was awesome and inspiring. She enjoyed these books and have even passed them down to her younger sister as she is awaiting volumes 4-6! Awesome purchase good price!

My daughter has been reading the series since she was little. She is now 9 years old and she just read the last book of the series, which is not included in this set. She loved the entire series very much. Now I'm saving them for my little girl.

My daughter loves dork diaries!! She has read every single one within 2-3 days of getting them and she is only 7!! She has collected almost all of them and the ones she doesn't have will be delivered today (she doesn't know yet so she'll be pleasantly surprised). We also got some of the audio versions and she always listens in the car. Great story lines, would recomnend.

Not to fond of these. My daughters live diary of a wimpy kid and big Nate, but these books were written with older mindsets. Maybe because girls mature faster than boys but I didn’t like some of the content. It’s not as innocent and sweet as the others. There’s a lot of sassy and Pre teenage humor.

My 8 year old daughter has had a dislike of reading since she started school. I'm guessing because they read so much that when she comes home, that's the last thing she wants to do. I bought these books for her as a Christmas gift and for the past 2 nights before bed, she has read about 50 pages a night. She loves these books! We will definitely be buying the whole set eventually!

It's Exactly What I Was Looking For For My Son

This was a birthday gift for my granddaughter and she loved them. In a day of tablets and Smart phones and all kinds of techy stuff, it is refreshing to know I have a grand child that really loves to read real books.

My 6 year old boy is a bit advanced and loves his diary of a wimpy kid books so when I saw this I had to buy it for him. He thinks it's just as funny and has no qualms about this set being a "girly book set" because all he cares about is laughing while reading. Awesome and funny books for kids, highly entertaining for those who are open to a little non-conservative humor.

This purchase was such a great deal. I searched for the books everywhere and the box set on Amazon was much cheaper than the box sets or individual books at every other website I use. My daughter loves the books. She got them as a Christmas present and she started reading that day. She likes for read sometimes but it isn't a strength for her but she has truly enjoyed the Dork Diaries. I would strongly recommend them for any preteen girl.

Children like this off-beat stuff. Parents may find this genre off-putting as rude. But, if my grandkids are excited about reading as they begin, I like it, even if I would not enjoy.

My kiddo just turned 10. She loves these books. School mandates she read 30 min a day. She reads more than that on her own with these books. She was an average kid when it came to reading and writing but with books like these along with her parent's help, her reading level is now a grade and a half higher.

I love the book because you can picture what they are saying in you mind when you are reading it. Also because it is a very fun and creative book for kids and I think that they will enjoy this book.

Have a 4th grade granddaughter who wasn't enjoying reading until I bought these for her. Also bought her book 3 1/2 and am buying her the remainder of the books for Christmas. She is thoroughly enjoying them and is using them towards her school reading program.

My first grader is an advanced reader, so I was really excited to get these for her. She loved them! My younger daughter wanted to read them so I started reading it to her. I'm in shock! In the very first book someone called someone else a skank, and something about slapping a $!?@&. No no no. I'm getting rid of these books as fast as I can. I feel like I need a shower. Even if my daughter was 9 or 10 she still doesn't need that kind of language in her books.

The dork diaries collection is extremely humorous and witty. Nikki Maxwell goes through three of her wacky and crazy middle school adventures with the cruel schemes of Mackenzie and the CCPs.
