On the return voyage from Balefire Manor, Whyborne receives the worst news possible: Widdershins has fallen before the onslaught of the Fideles and their servants. There’s still time to stop the return of the Masters, but that window grows shorter by the hour.
Together with Christine and Iskander, Whyborne and Griffin must reach Widdershins to face the ultimate test—and decide the fate of the world, once and for all.

A series recommended to all
This series closes out in a maelstrom (pun intended) of heroism, madness, horror, love, triumph, and just a few tentacles. Everything comes full-circle (pun also intended) as Whyborne and Griffin join with new and old allies to defend their home of Widdershins from the extra-dimensional Masters who have returned to reclaim what is theirs. Because the final book of a series should encapsulate the best of everything that has come before, often the review becomes a review of the collection as a whole. I unreservedly give top marks to both Deosil and the full series of 11 novels. I quipped in an earlier review that this Lovecraftian-inspired saga would have Lovecraft himself rolling in his grave for it’s portrayal of characters the original author would have despised, for everything from their gender, to their race, to who they chose to love. For most of all, these books embrace love the way ol’ H.P. only summoned fear. Overall, this is a series I will be recommending to readers for years to come. Fans of fantasy, horror, historical, and romantic fiction will find a home in these pages, because we should all be so lucky to be collected by Widdershins.
Amazing ending to one of the best MM PNR series! Absolutely loved it!
The last chapter of Whyborne and Griffin exceeded my expectations! Wow, what a rush! I must admit that I got really emotional at times! This was the last adventure of a wonderful quartet of friends! The close bond between Griffin, Whyborne, Christine and Iskander held them through some of the roughest times of their lives. Jordan L. Hawk went to town with magic, gore and fascinating horror creatures that boggled my mind in the best way possible! I loved it! This book starts right where the last left off. From the first page emotions run high and the circumstances conspire against them. It takes all their combined efforts to achieve the impossible and survive! Fighting for their lives and the place they call home they encounter unimaginable abominations, use combination of cunning and magic to protect their future. It was an incredible journey! I loved how their story ended. It was what I wanted for my favorite characters and Widdershins themselves. So many things finally made sense, and I know that this will be one of my favorite reread series of all times! So long Percival Whyborne and Griffin Flaherty.
The stakes have never been higher, and nothing is guaranteed
How can the 11th book be a contender for the best in a series as spectacular as this? I don't know, either, but it is! Emotional and thrilling, this final adventure in Widdershins is full of twists, loss, redemption, and a tightrope of a walk along the razor's edge of "omigosh... what if they don't make it?". The forces of dastardly nastiness are the worst so far, with numbers and options often in their favor as they try to take over the town and the supernatural forces in the universe. How dare they threaten to annihilate our beloveds! As human beings, we experience growth - if we're lucky - while maintaining many of our personality traits throughout life. The same is true with mighty powerful and publicly prudish Whyborne, foolishly brave and quietly sweet Griffin, badass and loyal to the bone Christine, jack of all trades and huge hearted Iskander, blunt and entertainingly mischievous Persephone, prim-turned-spunky Maggie aka Miss Parkhurst, Saul the cat, and everyone else. Being on this journey with all of them is a privilege I'll forever treasure. Thank you, Jordan Hawk, for sharing all of this with me, with all of us. For the countless shared moments, the exclamations of joy and heart-in-your-throat near misses, and the connections we'll all share for the rest of our lives. Thank you!!!
And so the series ends...
...but ultimately in our imaginations, the community of Widdershins continues. The final book does not disappoint. Action-packed, suspenseful, and wonderful/surprising twists. The characters are rich as always. The author's inventiveness doesn't dwindle to a whimper or rehash old material to put a project to rest. No, that won't be found here within. What is found is a proper sending off
An exciting, emotional conclusion to a favorite series.
When this pre-ordered book popped up in my Kindle library, I was eager, but also a little wary, lest the series finale fall flat (or worse, go too dark/sad, though I didn't think JLH would do that to us, however much grim there might be along the way). Happily, I was not disappointed. There is one desperate twist after another in their plans, facing a creepy, appalling weapon/doom, and even what looks like a bitter defeat. Nevertheless, "humanity" (in the sense of self-determination and connections between people lending strength and motivation, whether the people involved are human, ketoi, hybrid, or even umbrae) wins out in the end. There are touches of humor in all but the very darkest moments (such as Widdershins-raised Whyborne's ideas of suitable childhood activities), and a sweet epilogue where it's clear that the survivors who are carrying on the best spirit of Widdershins have decided to, as we'd say now, "let their freak flags fly." I can agree with the author that an ending gives a certain weight and worth to a series, but I hope that Mx. Hawk will decide to occasionally revisit these well-loved characters in a bonus short or three.
Big and baroque and emotionally fulfilling. Great way to end a series.
I love Percival Whyborne and Griffin Flaherty. I love their improbable romance and impossible friends who support them against all odds. I love the farfetched (and sometime, frankly, confusing) plot arcs and alien creatures and slightly unbelievable American geography. And I love that the word “deosil” is the opposite of widdershins, in magical terms. I had to google it because it never is brought up in the book itself. The reason I have loved this series for all its mind-bending weirdness is the fact that Jordan Hawk, bless her crazy romantic heart, has given gay folk a fantasy world that other (i.e. straight, mainstream) fantasy writers have not – for reasons personal and commercial. Percival is the ultimate nerd genius, part Bruce Wayne and part Harry Potter, but completely bent in every way. A young Wally Cox should have been cast to play him in the movie that will never be. There is a bright light of purity in heart and mind that burns in Percival, undergirded and strengthened by the unwavering love of Griffin Flaherty, onetime Pinkerton, lonely soul who has found his completion in the unlikely person of the undervalued son of the worst kind of Gilded Age robber baron. As you see, my prose is consciously following the kind of path that Hawk uses in her plot-building. Everything about these books is baroque, especially this last one, in which our heroes (we know who they are) take a last desperate stand to save the world from horrors about which only they know. It is absurd and bombastic and moving. It is splendid. In a world of “go big or go home,” Ms. Hawk went big. I hope she enjoys her rest. And so to you all.
Hate to see the series end but Deosil is the the perfect fit ending
HOLY HANNAH BATMAN! I hated to see the end of Whyborne & Griffin so I prolonged opening Deosil as long as I could until finally I just could not put off the experience any longer. WOWWWWWWW!!!!! OHMYGOD!OHMYGOD!OHMYGOD!OHMYGOD!OHMYGOD!OHMYGOD!OHMYGOD! And once again: HOLY HANNAH BATMAN!!!!! Okay, I got that out of the way so on to the review😉. I will flat out say it right away: I will not touch on the specifics of the story. Even though the book has been out there in the reading universe for nearly a year I know there are others like me that haven't wanted to see the end yet so they're holding off even longer than I did and there are those who have yet to discover this amazing series. So, NO SPOILERS! What I will say is the emotional gauntlet I ran while experiencing Deosil(and it is an experience not just a read) was mindboggling, heartwrenching, breathtaking, and truthfully just good old fashioned plain edge-of-your-seat mayhem. Just when I thought I knew what Whyborne, Griffin, Christine, Iskander, and so many characters that we've come to know, love, and well not-so-love, were going to face around the next corner, Jordan L Hawk in all the author's storytelling glory sent me spiraling into unknown levels of "Holy Crap!" . . . just between you and me: I LOVED IT! Warring between needing to know and savoring the moment is the top box I look to ticking when sitting down to write a review, to me that is the ultimate natural high when it comes to experiencing art. And boy did I tick that box a hundred times. Were there elements I saw coming? A few. Were there elements that completely gobsmacked me? Many. Frankly, the author could have written our characters doing anything and it would have been wonderful and entertaining, that's how incredible the world building and character creations are. Having finished Deosil, the course the author took is brilliant and fitting. As it's so often said throughout the series, "Widdershins knows its own" well I think Widdershins knew one more and that was Jordan L Hawk. If you are new to the world of Whyborne and Griffin and are wondering about reading order, it is most certainly a read in order journey. You won't be sorry. True storytelling genius is at work here. I can't think of a better way to sum up my thoughts other than how I started: HOLY HANNAH BATMAN!
A perfect ending
Don’t mind me, just sitting here crying because of a book. It’s still so strange to think there will be no more Whyborne & Griffin books coming, but this ending suited the series perfectly. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Now to lay here with my cats and somehow try to pull myself back out of Widdershins. Though...as the last lines of the afterword say: “Widdershins lives within us now, and it knows its own. So instead of saying “farewell”, let us instead say “welcome home”.”
Welcome Home to Widdershins! You are loved!
With much anticipation and sadness for a wonderful series coming to an end, the audiobook was so wonderful and lovely much like the book. Picking up where Balefire ended as Ival, Griffin, Kander, and Christine are back on the Melusine headed back to Widdershins. A ketoi intercepts them mid-voyage to bring them horrible news. Widdershins has fallen! OH NO! The faithful gang makes their way to Boston to sneak into Widdershins since the harbours are blocked by magic. The rest of the Endicotts head to Baltimore to Cousin Ruth and misadventures and mishaps follow the faithful gang. It was horrible when they encountered the woman in the country who had been Perfected and then discovering what happened to Fenton and the household staff inside Whybourne Manor. I almost cried when Christine was Perfected and Whybourne cried when he thought she and the baby were lost. Of course, there is a happy ending after all and wow what a surprise with the birth of twins! Alexandria and Nathaniel Putnam-Barnett join the gang as the newest generation. I was so happy to see Persephone and Maggie got married at the end :) WELCOME HOME TO WIDDERSHINS - PERFECT ENDING TO A WONDERFUL SERIES
Perfect ending for an amazing series
I started this story with a heavy heart knowing that this was the last book in this wonderful series. But the story picks right where [book:Balefire|40281878] left off. They do not get to take a breath & they are thrust right back into battle. Widdershins has fallen. Our MC's and crew are faced with the biggest battle yet, the return of the Masters. It was not an easy battle by any means and there were times that I was sure everyone was going to make it. But in the end, good defeats evil and our motley crew finds their happily ever afters. I would love a spin-off with Nathaniel and Alexandria. Thank you Jordan Hawk for creating this amazing world and taking us on this wild ride.

A awesome finale of a great adventure series
Yes I'm sad that this is the finale of for Whyborne and Griffin, I thoroughly enjoyed the conclusion of their tail and was excited to read this book. Again as in other reviews I will highlight the action and adventure and mystical Arts that take place in this book. There was a nice tying of all loose ends from previous novels and even still a great building of characters and world-building. I would say that I wish there was more male male romance seems like we had gotten in other books in the series but understands that the storyline didn't always allow for that. I highly recommend this series and this book. So while yes it is sad that we are ending it was a great end to go out on.
A fitting ending to a fantastical series
I've followed Whyborne and Griffin from book 1, and I've never been disappointed--until now--only because it's the end of their adventure! As with all the books, this one had me set on edge as the final confrontation of the growing evil dogging Whyborne (since he was born) comes to claim Widdershins and the world beyond. Though Widdershins should never be underestimated, as Widdershins collects and knows its own, and had prepared for this battle from the very start. Wonderfully written to keep the reader on edge and guessing what will happen, Jordan L. Hawke has once again, written an epic conclusion of the series of the Whyborne & Griffin series.
My heart hurts
I understand, thanks to the end notes, why this is the end of the series. That doesn't mean I'm at all happy about it, though. I'm standing here in my kitchen, kindle in hand, and bawling my eyes out because it's over. Whyborne and Griffin felt like family and it's hard to tell them and all the other characters good-bye. The only thing making it even halfway bearable is an absolutely perfect ending and the knowledge that I can always read the series over again.
A worthy ending
This became one of my favorite series somewhere around book three. I love the quirky characters, especially Christine & Iskander, who puts up with a lot with much grace. Ival & Griffon will always hold a special place in my heart. I thought that this was an amazing end to the series, everything I could want: heroism, tragedy, redemption, and action. It was paced well, with character relations not sacrificed for plot. Thank you, Jordan, for this wonderful ride.
Awesome saga
The characters have become friends , dare I say family? The depth of the saga burns with Magic , love an monsters both human and inhuman. The solution to the invasion and seemingly hopeless war , brought a tear to my eye. The author has written a saga of perfection and I am saddened that it's over. I won't spoil any of the plot lines , just to praise the series in totality. Truly recommend the series looking for swashbuckling action, magic and mayhem. Kudos
Fantastic finale!!
These 11 books are the best and greatest story in the genre I've ever read! I've always loved historical M/M romance, as well as magic and mystery, and sweeping story arcs of power and good vs evil! This series is all of these with MCs you grow to love with each book! When I would finish one I would eagerly await the next! It's sad in a way to know the story is finished! But what a great experience to have enjoyed! Really really good!
OMG. The best. Yet it’s over.
I loved this series and the last book does not disappoint. It leads to a great finale while leading you to the edge of despair as to how they can get out of this. With tears in my eyes as I write this, I will have to re-read the entire series from the beginning. This is what happened when Lord Of The Rings ended. I had to re-read it 3 more times to stop it from ending. How many times I will have to re-read Widdershines remains to be seen.
Amazing read and fitting end to the series!
Very few authors can surprise me, but Jordan L. Hawk still manages it. Deosil was an awesome read, full of the fun, angst and magic of the rest of the series. I will miss reading of the lives of these beloved characters, but this story was a very satisfying end to the series. Well worth the read.
My Heart Is Both Breaking and Smiling
This is a fantastic end to a wonderful series. But... it *is* an end. These characters became so beloved that I hate to say goodbye. But the series has been a great journey. If you're looking for a clever, absorbing, endearing series, the Whyborne & Griffin series is perfect. Thank you, Jordan L. Hawk, for gifting us with these memorable characters. This is one series I can see myself waking up and deciding to read again and again on a random Tuesday in the future.
Filled with adventure, danger and monsters.
Whyborne and his friends find Wddershins has been taken by the enemy. This story is filled with a lot of characters and situations. Hawk does an excellent writing job, so it does not get confusing. There are surprises, but I was not surprised by what Wddershins wanted from everyone. My only complaint is this is the last of this series.
Everything a denouement should be!
I am sad that this great series has come to an end, but thrilled at how deftly it was done. This book was wonderful, from start to finish. The heroes faced terrible peril, and the gathering of forces of good against evil was well drawn—not too fast and not too slow. There was epic battle and magic on a scale I'd never read before and I loved every moment.
5⭐️
What an ending! And the last author note after summarized it perfectly, I’m so happy to have come to this journey! The whole book was action packed, the final battle was epic but overall what is more relevant are these characters and how much I’ve come to love them. I’ll seriously miss waiting for a book in this series 💙
Delightful Series Conclusion
I kept putting this book down and walking away. Not because it wasn't good - it was because I didn't want the story to end. I have loved these characters since the first Widdershins book and I didn't want to lose them. Safe to say, they've been in good hands all along and J.L. Hawk has written a grand concluding story befitting these wonderful characters and the magical world they inhabit. I highly recommend this book and all the books in this series.
A perfect ending.
I have loved every book in this series. The characters are not perfect heroes. They have all the fears and doubts that all people do. They strive to what's right even through those doubts. This is an amazing group of friends and I love their commitment to each other even though they're all so different. So much adventure through the years! This was a great end to the series but I sure will miss these friends!
Such a fantastic series!
I cannot say enough about how much I loved this series and this book. Sooo very, very good. I cried at the end, which rarely ever happens. Widdershins has been the only bright light of being quarantined for the holiday. Thank you to the author for this!!
Such a great ride!!!
I got on board because it was a gay romance combined with elements of HP Lovecraft... two things I never thought I’d see together. I stayed because Jordan Hawke can write their ass off! This series has been a wonderful gift that I hate to see end. However everything eventually does... even Terry Pratchett. All I can say is thank you. You done good.
Near Perfect Closing Installment
A nearly-perfect closing installment of Jordan L. Hawk's 11-book (plus short stories) Whyborne and Griffin series. All the threads come together, there's great character growth and closure, and the fate of the Earth at stake -- high energy all the way.
Amazing!
This book was just as wonderful as the first. Jordan L. Hawk has crafted a world so incredible and human, it literally sunk into my bones. I’ll miss Whyborne and Griffin, but look forward to starting the adventure again. Thank you for this great series!!
I will mourn, but..
...the novelist was right. It was right and kind to the characters and the readers to give us our closure. Thank you for writing a self-chosen family of misfits and thereby reminding us that we have the right to do the same. I will hold them all in my heart. And I ain't that kinda sappy.
Good
Loved it. It was like riding a rollercoaster. My feelings were all over the place. I will miss this series. And will be re reading and listening. Thank you Ms Hawk for the wonderful story and characters. I will miss them.
Heartbroken; this is the end
I have loved Griffin & Whyborne since the very first book Widdershins. The love between the two gentlemen has grown from tentative attraction (on Whyborne's part) to the fulmination of love and family.
Good God I've never cried so much over one story!
The heart is heavy but joyous all the same. We've had so many rips and renderings of our souls as we lived in tandem with the lives of some of the most beloved characters imho ever written. Bravo Jordan and thank you! So very proud to be a Widdershinian!💚
Thank you, Jordan L. Hawk!
Beautiful, amazing, and one of the best series ever. This was an incredible ending to an incredible story. One I can't wait to start all over again! For Widdershins!
Great ending to a great series
What a great ending to this series. Whyborne and Griffin have one last adventure that ties up the character arches and plotlines that have been building for eleven books. A very satisfying conclusion. I only have one quibble: what happened to Griffin's older brother?? 🤷♀️
Amazing, the perfect finish
I would love to say so much, but I fear any little detail would somehow give a spoiler. I will say that I loved this book so much, and it is a fitting end to a wonderful saga. A journey I have enjoyed from start to finish, from the first page of the first book, to the last page,of the end. It won't disappoint.
Wonderful
Great ending for the series. I have thoroughly enjoyed taking this ride with these characters, and am a little saddened that it's over. Well done!
A fitting end to a fascinating series
The final book lived up to my expectations and brought the series to a nice close. I’m sad to see the characters go, but it’s been an interesting ride.
Wonderful ending
This is a wonderful ending to an amazing series. One of my favorite all time series. Magic, humor, horror, love, friendship, triumph. Thank you, Jordon!
Great ending.
OMG, just read this series. This is the best possible culmination of the entire series. I love love love it to death.
Great ending
I have really enjoyed this series. I like that the author treated gay like as the norm which it is. Just a different aspect of life. I also like the twists and turns that happen to make the books interesting.
Wonderful ending
This was truly a wonderful ending to an incredible series. I'm so happy I had the opportunity to read it.
There are no words in any language!
Jordan L Hawk is a genius. The Widdershines books are incredible and awe inspiring. I absolutely love the series. The Spirit series is also as brilliant a series. Ms Hawk please keep writing, please. Fondest regards, August G Fulenwider
Bittersweet
Loved it of course. But to think it the final chapter is sadness incarnate. I will desperately miss Ival and Griffin, as well as Christine and Persephone and everyone in the town.

The ending of this series has me in literal tears but it's been such an adventure and so amazing that they're tears of happiness for having got to go on it at all. Thank you Jordan.
Great series!
Great series for fantasy fans. The main character is gay but it just adds to the story.

Family isn't always blood...
“Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones you accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile, and who love you no matter what.” ~ Unknown When Whyborne, of Deosil by Jordan H. Hawk, learns that Widdershins has fallen, he feels the deepest despair he has ever known. After all he has learned, sacrificed, and done to save not only his “family” but Widdershins and the world, it seems that it has all been for naught. The enemy is prevailing, threatening to put an end to all Whyborne holds dear. Even if he and his sister, Persephone, can summon all of the magic at their disposal, it may not be enough. Although their situation is dire, Whyborne and his friends and family put their heads together and formulate a strategy to get into Widdershins, in order to observe the situation firsthand. They decide that the best course of action is for them to split up. Whyborne’s mother goes to be with her underwater family. Griffin, Christine, and Zander are let off the ship close to Boston, where they will then continue to Widdershins. When they arrive in Boston, they are tired, hungry, and dirty. Griffin suggests the go to the Pinkerton office to use the telephone so they can call Whyborne’s father. Unfortunately, when Whyborne calls Niles, it is not he who answers, but Mrs. Creig, an enemy sorceress they have crossed swords with before. Just after that, they are accosted by zombie-like people who try to capture them. They escape, but just barely. Before leaving Boston, they receive firsthand information from a surprising source – a librarian from the Ladysmith Museum who gives them the most startling news so far. The pharaoh mummy that Christine brought back from Egypt, Nephren-ka has risen from the dead, proclaiming that he is The Lord of All Lands. Could things get any worse? Whyborne and company continue their journey to Widdershins on horseback, much to Whyborne’s chagrin. They are concerned about everyone in Widdershins, but their first order of business is to rescue Niles. They have a multitude of issues on the way to Widdershins. Each obstacle Whyborne and company encounter leaves Whyborne more despondent than before. Whyborne knows that the others look to him for leadership. Usually he has a solution, but in this circumstance, their only option has been to run away. Whyborne has an almost endless source of magical energy and knowledge, along with many loyal allies, but the Fideles seem to hold all the power cards. Whyborne and his allies don’t know how they are going to defeat the Fideles and the other maleficent forces that are trying to enable the Masters to come back and take over first Widdershins, then the rest of the world, they only know that they must find a way to do so. First of all, I have to say that this review does not even scratch the surface of this, the final book of a complex, intense, and brilliant series. Throughout the series, I’ve watched Whyborne and Griffin grow and develop, fall in love, make true and loyal friends with both humans and nonhumans alike. Yes, the series is about magic, monsters, and mayhem, but it’s also about love and loyalty and what’s most important in life. A recurring theme in the series is that of family, not just blood, but those they chose. Thank you, Jordan, for introducing me to Whyborne and Griffin and the weird but wonderful world of Widdershins. I shall miss them all. Originally reviewed at Rainbow Book Reviews.
A Perfect Ending!
There comes a time in every series when you have to say goodbye to the characters and places that have meant so much to you. It's always a gamble as to whether or not the end will live up to all the hype you've built up for it. I'm so happy to say that Deosil absolutely lives up to my expectations and was a fabulous ending to this series! Whyborne has come such a long way from the quiet, stuttering man he was in book 1. Watching him grow in confidence and power has been such a pleasure and I don't know if I've ever read a character from any other book/series that went through so much growth. With the Masters on their way, Whyborne and his family must stand firm in the face of complete destruction, and this flawed but lovable group must lean on one another to face these foes. This series has always been about found family, and the people you connect with by your own choice. Seeing this family come together to face the end of the world was everything I'd hoped it'd be and more. I laughed at Whyborne and Christine's sibling-like banter. I cried for characters' hardships. I sighed dreamily at Whyborne and Griffin's tenderness towards one another. Hawk truly outdid themselves and the final chapter was so satisfying! I will miss this series so much, but I'm beyond happy that it got the ending it deserved! 5 Stars
It is with great joy and much sadness this will be “the Final Chapter”,
Deosil Series: Whyborne & Griffin Book 11 Author: Jordan L. Hawk Genre: Historical Fantasy witches Release Date: October 11, 2019 REVIEWED BY GLORIA LAKRITZ SR. REVIEWER AND REVIEW CHAIR FOR THE PARANORMAL ROMANCE GUILD It’s been 6 years since I read Widdershins, Wybornne and Griffin book one. At its inception was quite different than those M/M Romances that were being released and it caught on with quite a following. An imaginary town, in Victorian America, where a reclusive young man, Percival Endicott Wybornne and an ex Pinkerton detective, Griffin Flaherty are thrown together to solve a mystery. It was magic! It is a time where men were very careful of showing interest in each other. It was a time of dressing for dinner, traveling by coach and maybe train. From a rich family, Wybornne studied languages and was now employed at The Ladysmith Museum; locked in the bowels of the building hiding from life until a mystery brought the two together. Ten books later, Ms. Hawk has taken us on quite a ride. With magic and monsters, some being the human kind she has taken us all over the world with this story along with his friend Christine, his sister Persephone and of course now the love of his life Griffin. In this Book #11, Ms. Hawk has certainly ended as she began, with giving the reader an ending to satisfy. It is with great joy and much sadness this will be “the Final Chapter”, but I wouldn’t have it any other way…. We can know that Widdershins does “know its own’ and our people have found all they need to be happy. This book certainly did her story justice to the last THE END. Thank you for the wild ride Ms. Hawk
Hawk Sticks the Landing
From Widdershins to Deosil, that was a long and satisfying journey. I'm happy to say that Hawk completely stuck the landing. Whyborne and Griffin are some of my favorite characters in fantasy and in MM romance. Christine, Heliabel, Miss Parkhurst, even Niles ... the cast grew to feel like a set of friends. If you haven't had the pleasure of reading this series yet, I envy you! Dive in with Widdershins and enjoy the chthonic paths of Hawk's mind.
A fitting farewell to Widdershins
A fitting end to Widdershins and the Whyborne & Griffin series. Fans won't be disappointed, as Good versus Evil clash in an epic battle. The fate of the world is at stake, and no less at stake are the lives of the characters of the series--Whyborne and Grffin, Christine, Iskander, the maelstrom, Persephone and Miss Pankhurst, the Queen of Shadows, the librarians, and all the rest. The series ends well.
One of the very best series I've ever read, in any genre, ever.
I just finished this book. Gotta say, I'm a little teary-eyed right now. This whole series has been fabulous, and I adored the ending. Everything was brought around full-circle, and I couldn't be happier with the way it wrapped up. I'm sad that the series is over now, but I'm sure I'll be rereading it for years to come. Super highly recommended!
