Dear Bob and Sue: Season 3

Season 3 is great. I’m just starting the last section. The Alaska Chilkoot Trail adventure scared the heck out of me and I’m so happy it turned out well. Matt and Karen are hilarious and I laughed at so many things. They’re like the friends you can ‘t stop talking to. I heartily recommend reading the whole series. Can’t wait for Season 4. I think I heard they are doing the dories again. Yahoo!!! Jealous!

Another series of fantastic trips through our wondrous country. It is a joy to join Matt and Karen as they make their way in adventures that I, sadly, will never be able to do myself. But they make it so vivid that I feel like I saw the hail hit the truck and the rain in Sheep Camp. Keep up the travels and writing about them. Thanks again for the ride!

I have read all three Dear Bob and Sue books and Dories, HO! as well! I have enjoyed every moment with Matt and Karen and their friends as they explore our National Parks! I have been very fortunate to have seen many of the same sites they have but have not seen them all! Hope they will continue to write about their adventures!

I love road trips, National Park sites and hiking (although I don’t do it to the extent that these folks do it), so Season 3 was a must have for me as I thoroughly enjoyed Matt and Karen’s first 3 books. But you don’t have to be a traveler, hiker or outdoorsy person to like their books. There’s plenty to enjoy with humor, friendship follies and typical marital insights. Although you’ll probably come away being inspired to get off the couch and enjoy this great country of ours and everything it has to offer. These books make great gifts too! Can’t wait for season 4. PS...you should definitely start with Season 1. Season 2 and 3 are really good, but the original is still the best. 😉

I love these books. Matt and Karen seem like people you could hang out with...traveling to parks and checking out fun trails and beautiful places. Easy light reading that makes me smile. Thank you....oh, and I love that at the end of the book they offer a link to see their pics!

Having read the first two books in this series as well as Dories, Ho!, their other book, I knew what to expect and I am not disappointed in this one either. I wish they would write more books as I enjoy them so much. They are a good book to read to relax and laugh a bit, and can be read in small chunks if you do not have a lot of time all at once. Buy it and read it.

I've read all the Matt and Karen Smith books now and I can safely say this one was my favorite. It's the story of Matt and Karen and their rambles across the US. Sometimes laugh out loud funny and always entertaining, I'll be glad when enough time passes that they write another sequel!

Matt and Karen have hit another one out of the park! Season 3 is perhaps my favorite of all their books. Maybe it’s because by this point they really DO feel like close friends who are telling me all about their fun trips. Reading about their adventures has made me add dozens of must-see sites to my own bucket list. Their writing style is perfect, drawing the reader along on their drive, on each hike, and finally enjoying a well earned meal at a local restaurant. Reading the Dear Bob and Sue books gives you just the push you need to get out there and have your own adventures seeing our beautiful public lands!

I stumbled across their first book several years ago. I couldn't stop laughing. So when Dear Bob and Sue 3 hit the rack, I was happy to order and read it. I love the National Parks like Matt and Karen. Their book is not a travel guide of places to stay or what to see, but the humor and the way they describe their visits to the parks is very inspiring. I can see the places where they have been because I have been to some of these places. It will make you want to get out and see all that the USA has to offer. It is a beautiful country.

Another great and humorous book about Matt and Karen’s travels. I don’t know if it’s being married or working for a public lands Agency that makes me relate to them in so many ways. I also love the book for the places I’ve visited and want to now visit.

Love the trips and stories. Makes a you feel like you are traveling along every step of the adventure. Felt the tenderness of the steep trails and the beauty of the sunsets, as well as the humor ous exchanges between the living couple, Matt and Karen. Thanks for sharing!!

Just finished reading Season 3. I have read all their books and this is my new favorite. It’s so nice to get on line and see the pictures of the places they are writing about. We have visited many of these places and it was wonderful to visit them again in their book. A must read for all Matt and Karen fans.

I love the humor of this book. I also love all of the descriptions of the amazing places that Matt and Karen get to visit. I love the traveling with John and Lolly and meeting up with Bob and Sue. This is another great book that is hard to put down. I loved every second of it!

I have read all 3 “Dear Bob and Sue” books. I have enjoyed traveling vicariously through them to some of America’s natural treasures. The books are informative with great stories, a few travel tips, and laugh out loud humor! I am not a hiker, but I would love to visit the National Parks, Monuments, and other stops they have made along the way. And, I want to travel with Matt and Karen! Buy the books...you won’t be disappointed 😊.

I have read all three seasons! Could not wait to get the the next one! It takes me places I want to see and because I love the outdoors and hiking, these were great!

Love ALL of their books! Our hiking group reads every single one of them. This couple shares their personal travels, their fun relationship and the ups and downs of their adventures. It always gives us a laugh, in this case a tear or two because of their sensitivity for others and lots to remember as we're hiking and traveling. A fun, light-hearted enjoyable read! Makes a great gift for your outdoor friends!

Dorries Ho was my favorite. I felt like I was on the trip with them. I hope they have another one soon.

This books is very enjoyable. They take the readers on an adventure without leaving our own homes.

Matt and Karen Smith never disappoint! Reading DB&S3 had me doubled over, laugh crying so hard, it took me a few minutes to compose myself enough to read to my family...which I had trouble doing, because re reading the funny parts had me in stitches again, and again. Reading about their adventures have me wanting to get out and hike!

Wish I was young enough to do half of what Karen and Matt do. Looking forward to their next adventure.

I bought this as a gift for my dad. He has read the previous two books and loves them.

As usual, Karen and Matt Smith have written an excellent book making me burst out laughing many times. They do such a good job making me want to get out and experience our natural beauty in the US. A wonderful break from our bleak political news of the day.

Great addition to the series. Love the account of all the places mentioned. Wish I could get to more yet some I would not want to attempt and am satisfied just reading about it.

Love someone else's thoughts about the national parks and travel in general. My husband I love roard trips. Found some different places in these books that will be added to our list. We love experiences rather than things . Keep on writing Matt and Karen

I love this series of books. The authors are funny, interesting and give you a lively account of their adventures. They inspire me to travel, that's for sure!

Matt and Karen are the type of people you want to hang out with. They see the most beautiful parts of this country and take us along with them. They're observations are quite funny. I can't wait to read where they go next.

Third book in a series. Once again great read. This book is about all other beautiful parks in our country. Why would you ever want to travel anywhere else when there is so much to see here. Great adventures. Great humor. Easy read.

This is my 4th book of theirs and it did not disappoint. In fact in is inspiring enough for my to try my own Bison Tour as I am about to retire in a few weeks,

Gave me alot of ideas for my bucket list when I retire.

I've read all 3 of the Bob and Sue books and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. So much fun and lots of laughs!

Once again, Matt and Karen have shared their adventures as they have traveled throughout the US. Interesting facts about NP areas and state sites make me want to visit them. And, traveling always has some hilarious episodes.

Entertaining as always. Hope there is a 4th installment coming!

I’ve read all the “Dear Bob and Sue” books and love them all. Each chapter makes you feel as if you are there, especially if you have witnessed the splendor yourself. I sure hope there is a Season 4 in the works.

Love the read. I read some of the chapters out loud to my hubby so he knows why I am laughing. We've been to many of the same parks and live vicariously trekking through the others with you. Thanks for the laughs.

Learning, laughing, and loving the adventures of Matt and Karen Smith. They might be writing to Bob and Sue, but it sure feels like they are talking to you.

Easy reading. Love the writing style. Totally accurate and lots of information for the traveler. Want more books from this author. Have read all 4 and enjoyed each one.
