There are a handful of pieces from each area, each enemy, each boss, each weapon, etc. What's missing is accompanying text and interviews! Previous Dark Souls Design Works books had long interviews with key staff who worked on the games and provided fascinating insight into their development. This one has none of that. Other than the name of each area/boss/etc., there's virtually no other text, which is a real disappointment. If you just want to see some art, this book is great. But if you want more than that - if you enjoyed the deeper look into Dark Souls development provided by the first two Design Works books - this book will be a big letdown.

If you're a fan of the series and you own the other books then this is yet another must-have.

The design works series for the Dark Souls games are worth it if your a fan of the game and want so see the inspiration behind the characters and monsters in the series. I was a little disappointed that this volume didn’t have an interview like the other two but it was still very worth picking up.

Incredible quality and images. If you’re into art, this is a great book, if you’re into art and video games, than this is a must have.

Bought as a gift for a friend, loved the series and played all three with and still plays. Also got the first one last Christmas for them since they had the second one already. In total they have the complete set and a great Christmas for a gaming buddy.

We bought this book in 2017 in Japanese and are quite happy to get one in English as well.

The binding, quality, and artwork itself are all perfect. It’s a must buy for a ds3 fan.

Dark Souls has sold out for money. We like having things and Bandai likes taking money. Take money for things. Art books might be worth money still, but Fart Socks will never be the same.

Echoing what others have said: the art is great, but it's very disappointing that the DS3 book doesn't have any interviews or other text, so it's really just an art book and doesn't provide any insight into the game's themes, philosophy, or development, so it's a big letdown after the awesome Design Works books for DS1 and DS2. Still worth getting if you want to see some gorgeous concept art, but lackluster wheb compared to what the other games got.

Waited for this one for a long time. Certainly a thick book but unlike previous volumes there are no interviews or supplementary material and the art, while certainly nice, doesn’t shed any light on the development process, it’s all essentially renderings of things you can already see in the game. Pretty bummed.

The pages are really high quality,great references for art related work or just appreciation for the franchise. I did however encounter some minor dents and scratches on the product upon arrival. Still,the amount of pages and artwork makes it all worth it. The overall design for the book is really pleasing too!

A fantastic book on the artwork and details of everything in Dark Souls 3! I was a big fan of all three video games and have to say the book is really great to look at and browse endlessly. Its a nice hardback filled with memories for me after playing the game. I especially love the detail the book has with the pictures as well as level designs. A brilliant addon book to the initial game. I would highly reccomend picking this up if you are a true Dark Souls fan! Be warned spoilers are in the book if you have not played the game. So probably better to play the game first before looking at the book.

This is an excellent collection of Dark Souls 3 artwork. It contains beautiful artwork of locations, characters, bosses, weapons and more. Each piece is unique and a wonder to behold. Any fan of Dark Souls 3 will appreciate the works in this book as will many others who enjoy the art style of the games.

This is the largest of the three volumes and is excellent value. The artwork is beautiful and you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended.

Si Dark Souls III solo te gusta desde un punto de vista meramente casual puede que no le saques mucho provecho. Si por el contrario eres un fan acérrimo de la obra de From Software interesado en el arte conceptual y los diseños del juego este es un libro muy interesante y una compra casi obligada, la cantidad y calidad del material que se encuentra en él es excepcional. La edición en tapa dura, la calidad del papel y el empastado son excelentes. El precio recomendado es de 49,99$, en euros suele rondar los 40-45€ y aunque vale cada céntimo, si uno tiene suerte puede encontrarlo por 30-35€. El primer tomo es ya extremadamente difícil de conseguir, el segundo está prácticamente en la misma situación y aunque del tercero parece que todavía quedan copias, mi recomendación es que si de verdad te interesa no te lo pienses dos veces. Edito: Revisadlo bien cuando os llegue, el mío vino con una perforación bastante notable en la tapa que solo se veía al levantar la camisa del libro. He pedido un reemplazo.

There are a handful of pieces from each area, each enemy, each boss, each weapon, etc. What's missing is accompanying text and interviews! Previous Dark Souls Design Works books had long interviews with key staff who worked on the games and provided fascinating insight into their development. This one has none of that. Other than the name of each area/boss/etc., there's virtually no other text, which is a real disappointment. If you just want to see some art, this book is great. But if you want more than that - if you enjoyed the deeper look into Dark Souls development provided by the first two Design Works books - this book will be a big letdown.

The book didn't come with any additional text describing the artwork, and how the artists decided on the finished product. It also didn't come with any early sketches of the bosses, just the finished painting of the designs. Would've preferred some concept art and early sketches of the bosses. But overall amazing artwork, would highly recommend for a Dark Souls fan like myself.

there were some dirt and creases inside in some of the pages which made me wonder if this was really brandnew. the outside had some dents on it. probably better to get the book from the store if you can. content-wise, its about what youd expect. concept art and such. i would prefer if it had some developer notes though. if you get the japanese version of this book it probably wont even make much of a difference since all the text is just the names of whats in the illustration

The photos themselves are nice quality but the cover and binding of book are so low quality as to nearly ruin the whole thing.

Lo que seria hasta la fecha la conclusión de la saga dark souls, en este compendio de mas de 300 paginas con una excelente calidad de impresión, a un tamaño increíble, nos permite continuar con este aventura de fantasía oscura adentrándonos mas a detalle a lo que seria el trabajo artístico por parte de los creadores. Abarcando trabajo conceptual del mundo de darksouls, jefes, NPC y clases, incluyendo a los DLCs y terminando con armas e inventarios, divididos en 3 capitulos. En esta ocación, no tenemos mucho texto en el libro, siendo algo lógico pues es un libro enfocado en el diseño visual de la obra. Sin duda una Excelente Pieza de Colección.

Great Art book for any Dark Souls 3 fan. The artwork is beautiful to look at and there is plenty of it, including the DLC content. In fact there are more pages of artwork in the Dark Souls 3 Design Works than the Dark Souls 1 and 2 Design Works book. But if you own the previous two Design Works for DS1 and DS2, then this is a must have. The only nitpick I have is there is no developer's interview as per the previous two released Design Works. A shame, since those interviews were a great read and you get additional context for the game. Hence 4 stars but really 4 and 1/2 as I mentioned is a minor nit pick.

Lediglich das fehlen von Text seitens der Produzenten wie im Artbook zu DS1 und der ein oder anderen Waffenillustration sind minimale Mängel. Ich muss aber einen Stern abziehen. Entweder wurde mir eine mangelhafte Ware geliefert oder Amazon hat einen schlechten Job beim Verpacken gemacht. Das Buch wurde lose in einem Paket geliefert und weist massive Eselsohren an einer Vielzahl der Seiten auf. Schade, den für einen Sammler ist das doch recht störend ...

El libro en sí, es muy bueno, tiene muchisimos conceptos de arte del juego, está muy completo, se nota el cuidado que tuvieron para armar la estructura de las páginas el libro en sí le doy 5 estrellas. Califico con 3 estrellas más que nada por el estado del libro, porque el libro me llegó algo dañado en la pasta de ambos lados, la envoltura estaba rota y considerando que el libro es costoso, ese tipo de detalles no deberían estar, ya que estoy pagando por un producto nuevo y cuidado.

If you're a die-hard fan of Dark Souls and loved DS3 then this is a must have. Lots of beautiful concept art for the entire game! Including the two DLCs! Only gripe is there is no interview with any of the developers or artists included in this book while the other 2 had this. Kinda disappointing on that front.

Al ver que bajó de precio (yo pagué 29 euros en septiembre 2020) y leyendo otras opiniones de personas que recibieron el libro dañado o tocado por los laterales, pensé que estarían vendiendo productos devueltos de otros clientes o reacondicionados. Once again, these artbooks excel in showing the amazing art from the games. This third book is a really impressive and quite sizeable collection of concept art from the base game and all the DLCs. Absolutely excellent.

Un artbook solide avec de somptueuses illustrations de tous les aspects du jeu : personnages, boss, lieux, objets, armes, et ce incluant les deux DLC (ashes of ariandel et ringed city). Les pages sont suffisamment grandes pour qu'on puisse profiter des détails, en particulier pour les armes. Cependant il n'y a absolument aucune explication, commentaire, interview que ce soit dans tout l'artbook, ce qui est un peu décevant, mieux vaut être prévenu ! Globalement ça reste un très bel artbook et je le recommande.
