Seriously - how can this series keep getting better and better? It’s amazing! You would think after 19 books that it might not be as exciting as the beginning of the series, but it honestly just builds and gets more exciting with each book. IT Lucas is truly gifted. I can’t wait for 19 more to come! :). Can’t wait for Anandur’s story next! One last thing I can’t resist mentioning - I’ve said it in previous reviews, and I’ll say it again - Mark is my one of absolute favorite supporting characters (he’s so funny and interesting and refreshing), and I was SO happy to see him play a role in this book. I hope we keep seeing more glimpses of him on the future!

This is one of the best paranormal series being written. I have read all 19, pre-ordered the next 2 and have listened to 13 on audible. I was very happy to see Bridget get her HEA and Turner join the family. This series always leaves you excited about what is happening and what is to come. Another wonderful tale, Bridget and Turner's story, also Nick and Ruth. The continuing story is weaved flawlessly. All the characters and new ones easily relate. Love this series, you cannot write them fast enough!

This was really exciting to read Turner and Bridget's finding their love for each other along with his transition into immortality. It was very satisfying to find out how he was caught in his own mind and couldn't get back. But to use Mark again to rescue him was brilliant ! I would never thought of that simple solution. It is fascinating to see how MS. Lucas mind works in constructing her stories! I'm looking forward to seeing where she is going next with Annandur's story as well as including all the other characters in this world!

Loooove this series. I love that even after characters have their time in the spot light, that they are still present and important in the entire series. I can't wait for Anandor to get his mate!! He's so worthy of love and children and I'm sad he is alone. He's my favorite character. There are so many directions the writer could go that would make this series never ending. Having two clansman fall in love and revealing one is not really of their line. Or female dormants at the doomer camp getting turned and the women overthrowing the island. Which would be ironic since they are deemed stupid and only breeders. clan mother finding a new fated mate. Other God's thought to be dead who actually survived and were hiding. The possibilities go on and on. I hope the series solves the sex slavery and doomer island problems. Can't wait for more to read! I'm so attached to the characters and now I'm out of books lol

I love it! Who would have thought that Turner was such a romantic, in a tough way, man. I hope he Bridget get a baby soon. It would be wonderful. Now I have a new character to love besides the others I love. Julian, what is his story. I hope they move to The Village soon. The dynamic will be different but what it would be fun to read about it. I love Mark appearance at the end. Please let the people know that they have a very special Guardian and that he is still among them through Nathalie.

This is an excellent series. The characters are unique and their stories are engrossing. This book centers mostly on Bridget and Turner. They've been living together for a while now and Turner can even admit that he loves her. Kian wants to do something that will aid in his transition so enlists the help of his Goddess mother Annani. First they manage to cure his cancer without him knowing about it and then Kian initiates the transition. Annani is there to make sure it goes well. It's a long process but he pulls through. Great read.

Turn and Bridget will make heart sour for them. Their story is so heart felt and loving. She shows him how to love again. Children of the God is an amazing series to read.

Then there are friends who you just can't do without even if they are a ghost. This is a great story if you are into paranormal romance books. If not you don't know what you're missing. I can't wait till the next book comes out. And then there are 2more to wait for.

Like the series theme.. I would prefer more action. To be immortal and live for thousands of years is the theme .

Started reading these stories as a fill in, but have truely loved these books and the characters. Even though we go thru different pairings and different operations we still get to interact with the rest of the family and what is going on with them. Absolutely love these books. Bridge &Tuner was a magnificent Love story, each person had there own stories to tell and how everything on fold. Tuner is Operated man working under cover. He was hard to understand and read, but Bridget broke through that. I can't wait to keep on reading more Paranormal Romance.

This is the best of the three books about Turner and Bridget. The exquisite details of everything happening pulls you in and doesn’t let up to the last page.

I love writing but felt after could have put it in one book. Hate that it was left almost an a cliffhanger type of situation to find their happily ever after but was worth the read and wait

Turner has finally opened up and Bridget is funny and witty. Should be interesting to see how Turner will be a part of the clan.

Turners transition was especially riveting And Bridgets love for him and her unselfish care of him inspired me to be a better person and wife.

As all books in this series. A great read. My best part was when the ghost appeared and assist Turner to come to the present. It gave the story it's on spin connecting Turner to Nathalie.

I think the reason i disliked him so much was because he reminded me of myself far too much. STUNNING book. And the series is hands down still a favorite of mine. I wait impatiently for the new releases and them gobble them up in one day... leaving myself empty on the inside and searching for the next great book to bide my time.... OMGoddess! This series, as I've said before, just keeps getting better and better with each book! I recommend this to anyone who wants to start a series that will have you losing track of time; you won't want to put it down, and you'll be rushing to download the next one, and the next one, and so on. July though? 😱 Aaahhh! I got used to the monthly and it's been awesome, but two months? 😯 I'm not sure I'll make it! 😲 Oh, but Goddess is coming out, and I've only read what was in the trilogy, so I SUPPOSE that'll have to hold me over until July 25th. 😏

What a fantastic end to the mini-series of Bridget and Turner. Who knew Turner could be such a romantic. The beauty of this series is it keeps getting better and better. While one major storyline ends another begins but you never have to say goodbye to all the characters you fall in love with. Your favorite characters reappear as the supporting cast in this wonderful series.

This is a paranormal romance and is the ninetieth in the Children of the God series and the last in the Dark Operative trilogy. Turner and Bridgette come to terms about their feelings for each other. His cancer and whether or not he can transition are on their minds. Ms. Lucas ties up this couple quite nicely, well done.

I love this series. The characters seem so real and it's easy to read because of it's flow. I just wish I didn't have to wait so long for the next book! I need to know who this mysterious chic is and if it's Roni's grandma? When is Andar(?) going to get his mate? Is the leader's wife ever going to get more visions or the baby she wants so badly????? This series is killing me! Why does that one guy have to stay drunk? What's his story??? So many questions!!!!!

Another great read in the continuing saga of the immortals and humans! The story centers around Turner and Doctor Bridget. Their love is steamy and it was a delight to see them grow and achieve real love. We again see many of the other immortals we have come to know and love. There is the wedding of Eva and Bathian and lots of intrigue around whether Turner can transition into an immortal. Nick is one of Eva's "adopted children" and an employee who is still a human "virgin" and the seeds of a relationship develop between Nick and the shy immortal Ruth. I always love when the author gives more insight into the clan's leader Kian. I can't give anything else away but recommend this book. Reading the series in order is essential. I hope that the author will allow us to see Eva's child and desparately hope that Sissi will at some point conceive. Reading Anandur's story would be great also and of course we cross paths with the Doomers with an interesting twist at the end of this book. I. T. Lucas is one of my favorites. If you romance with a twist of immortals this series is for you.

This is the best series of books I have ever read! And I read a lot. I love the way that throughout the books how your characters are not lost , but keep in the storyline. When we love characters and they get lost it is so sad. I love that you continue to develop them and keep them interacting with each other. I hope you don't stop the series soon this is so good. Outstanding!! I loved the wonderful outcome to the Bridgett and Turner story. As always I,, T. Lucas spins a wonderful tale. I love all of the characters. With each book I feel like I am reunited with old friends. If you haven't read any of the books in this series then do yourself a favor and start with the first book. I can't wait for the Annani book to come out.

So happy Turner found his feelings! I was a little worried there for a minute. The plane scene was amazing!! One of my favorites so far in the series. I love the new secret female. I felt this book was kinda a wrap for me but once again I get pulled back in anxiously waiting for the next story to see who she is and if the Doomers will find her first! This is an amazing world!

But I wouldn't have missed this book for the world...by predictable I mean you knew Victor was going to turn....by questions? Not about the ghost cause you know it was Mark but who asked Mark to help pull Victor back...who knew enough to even know Mark was someone to ask? Natalie? Maybe but I see that.... The new immortal is strange cause Eva who was a DEA agent couldn't put together yet this new immortal knew enough to ask about God's and Goddesses....should be interesting to see if it's Roni's grandmother. Love interest for Ananadur...he deserves one... I love this series and have read it many times from book one now to book 20.....anyone who thinks this is not worth the read is just not giving it time...read the first few...bet you love it as thousands of others do.

Dark Operative: The Dawn of Love KU 284 pgs *** 7/11/21 Turner & Bridget 3 stars. This was a shorter book than normal and also the last in Turner and Bridget’s story. The story was okay, fairly dull actually. The flow was skippy because of so many filler pages. I loved Turner, he is one of my favorites. I hope to see him much more in the next books. Eva & Bathian finally have their wedding Sex was okay, way too much oral sex in these books for me, I mean, it’s every sex scene. On to the next book, hoping it’s better.

I've said it before and I will repeat it again, this series will suck you in. I'm so addicted that I'm happy to unravel more pieces to the Clan and their histories. Bridgette and Turner story comes nicely to a HEA, can't wait to see more in the next couple.

Amazing!! Each time I read a new book out by Lucas in this series, I am amazed at how good they are. The character developments are fantastic and I loved that Bridget finally connected with someone - Victor!! And what a story he is in his own right! Without giving anything away, I am fascinated with what happens to Victor during his relationship with Bridget. And I also like how he connects with the clan and the goddess as well. For a guy who does not make a habit of connecting, in fact his whole life is about NOT connecting, he sure changes his tune in these last three books. But I want to know more! And now, I have to wait for the next book! Argh!! I think I am addicted! LOL! Well, actually I knew that I was addicted from the first book onwards.

I have not been able to put these books down in my FreeTime. This is my new favorite series! It is just so intriguing and full of mystery, love, war, passion and emotion. The writing and the story line is so refreshing and different. I highly recommend!

I am on book 19 and I’m dreading the end, because this is one of the best series I’ve ever read. Every book is exciting and tells the new story of each clan member. I recommend this series to those that love paranormal romance. It is a must read! It is a bit spicy, not for teens or prudes.

This is book 19 in the series and I am still HOOKED! I read it in one day! I Love Lucas’ ability to write multiple stories that overlap one another within each book. This Dark Operative trilogy not only features the meeting (and mating) of Dr. Bridget and Turner- but also expands on the lives and relationships of Sharon, Nick and Roni! Lucas’ stellar character development has made me fall in love with the “secondary” characters as much as the primary ones! As if that weren’t enough, there is the constant slow build of trouble on the horizon with the Doomers’ evil plots. Once again creating a layered storyline, Lucas provides an interesting conflict in each book as well as in each trilogy- all the while creating a larger conflict that has been building for the last 19 books! Truly, a well thought out story. In light of this, Dark Operative: The Dawn of Love did not disappoint! With a heavier focus on the interpersonal conflict of a relationship dealing with chronic illness, Lucas pulls at the heartstrings while challenging our brains with Bridget and Turner’s logical debates and lightening the mood with Anandur’s antics. All around an enjoyable read!

So many books in this series and each one built on the last. To say that it gets deeper and richer with each tale is an understatement and the investment the reader makes in each character and their struggles and triumphs is well worth it. We have met Turner and Bridget in the earlier books and so this telling of their growth in love as Mates is so welcome. The entire immortal community feels like family and the reader finds herself totally invested in the overarching story and all the offshoots. So glad there is more to come. Best series ever!

The conclusion of Bridget and Turner’s love story! Lots of backstory characters and setting up for more exciting adventures, however it did not take away from main characters it only enhanced the story. Can’t wait for more!

If you have to add “but I am all for the feminist movement” to a sentence what you just said is completely sexist and derogatory to women. It’s like saying “not to sound racist but...” For a supposedly advanced race that is trying to better humanity the immortals are very sexist and homophobic. All of the characters are an unflattering stereotype and pretty much the same person with slight, inconsequential variations. The book is also very slow and boring. The characters go off on long tangents about the author’s political agenda that are loosely tied to the plot. Everything just seems forced.

Loved getting Bridget’s story....every book is as good as the last. I love how each of the characters are woven into every new story. I want more! I want longer stories, more often!! ITL....you’re amazing!

I have read 19 books about the children of the gods and enjoyed every one of them. Waiting impatiently for #20. The presentation of imortality has been done in quite a unique way. Imortals lives have many differences from mortals. The imortal characteristics presented are facinating and the anticipation of each new revelation keeps me reading. Each character in this series has a special part to play with a wide variety of personalities to become aquainted with. If you are a fan of the paranormal you will enjoy this series tremendously. For myself, I could do without the explicit sex scenes. I like the love and tenderness that the partners show toward one another.

Finally! The end of Bridget and Turner's epic romance. Does it end happily, well this is a romance novel, so one expects a HEA. There are several bumps in the road however, and our lovely couple handle each and every one with no problem. I fell more and more in love with Victor as the story progressed, and he became more "human." By the end of this book, I was left with a warm feeling for the future of the clan. Hope it's warranted....

I love this series. It highlights different characters and it is not predictable. I keep wanting to read more when one bok ends.

If you love a great story, great romance, mystery, and alot of great characters with diff personalities mixed in with your paranormal, you will LOVE this series. Be sure to start from the beginning!! Love this series and can’t wait to see what happens next. You feel part of the family, love how you are updated with the other immortals and what is happening with them. Awesome series!

I can not get enough of these books. I devour each new book upon release. Fortunately I. T. Lucas is a very gifted and prolific writer and I do not have a lengthy wait.

Great books ,and great story lines . So many different characters with many different needs. I'm so glad I found these books both on my for and audio books .

Update: Thank you for adding audible narration as a purchase option! I love following a along with the narration or switching back and forth! I would like to purchase this book (19) with the "add audible narration" option. Book 19 is not offering the add audible narration option. All other books in this series have this option. I need help. I like to switch back and forth while reading.

This review is for the whole series so far. I really enjoyed these books and although short ( I think they could have been combined into larger books which I would have found more to my liking), they were very interesting and keep me turning pages. One thing I did not like was Dr. Bridget's push towards chemo for cancer.. Surely a progressive writer should be looking into diet and alternative therapies which would be more fitting to these futuristic stories.

Overall, this was a pretty satisfying story. I have to say that so far Eve and Bridget are by a vast margin my least favorite female characters in the entire series. Most of the time they rub me the wrong way. Eve who seems to think that everything has to go her way. Bridget who pushes, shoves and nags until Turner conforms to how she thinks he should feel, react or what he needs disclose to her. Then there is Turner who is irritating because he seems to think that everything in life has to be explained to him and he fails to respect other people's privacy. Despite all that he went through, he is still self-centered and conniving. Not the most likeable characters. Thus ,only a 3 star rating. The main plot, subplots, writing and character development were 4 stars.

As always, I was hooked from the first page and sad to see it over. My mind is reeling with new questions that were foreshadowed in this book. The world keeps broadening more with each chapter. I love each and every character. I hate that Kian smokes because of the smell and want to kick Ruth in the butt so she is more bold. See Vanessa for some help. Does anyone feel that our new woman is Roni's grandma? So many questions to be answered.

Have read all 19 Chlldren of the Gods books. Can't wait for the next one to come out. Have got my daughter and my daughter-in-law looked, too

This is an easy, enjoyable series to read. I've read all 20 books and my only critique is that the writer doesn't know enough about Scots. Based on several mistakes, including calling them "Scotts" and referring to them drinking Scottish "whiskey". Scots drink whisky, without the e. It's what differentiates it from American whiskey or Irish whiskey. Many of the characters names, while supposedly Scottish, sound more Middle Eastern. If I'm being overly picky, it's just because I'm a proud Scottish woman and want the information written about us to be correct. A little heavy handed on the sex as well but as it is a paranormal romance, it's to be expected. The stories themselves are good enough to stand alone in the paranormal genre and the love story behind them is nice too, but the gratuitous sex on every other page is unnecessary. Other than that, I do find the books very entertaining.

Great closing to this love story. Turner and Bridget have waited so long. Glad they have the ending the deserved.

Victor Turner is still a con man after all that Bridget and Kian have extended towards him. My suspicions are that Turner is going to try and overthrow Kian, and tell Bridget the truth that he really don't love her. How many people in real life engage in that type of deception? Man is inherently evil, so I hope Kian and the Guardians throw him out before it's too late. What's up with Ruth and Michael? Ruth is very old, already has a daughter Michael's age? There's Jackson and Tessa, so what's going on with the age gap with the characters?

I have been reading fantasy for 40 years and this is the best series I have ever read. I started on book one and read straight thru book 20. I am going to hate reading the last "Children of the gods series". This is my first review I've ever written.

Another amazing book in the series. Read it all in a few hours. Can't wait until the next one comes out

I love this series! It’s unique and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out. Bridget and Turner finally get their happy ever after. I was surprised at how he stared opening up to her! It was romantic! Bridget staying with him thru his transition was heartbreaking. I love this world!

Love the continuing story line of the books. The continuation of characters in each book makes you want to continue reading the series.

Amazing tear jerk moment having the transition for Turner, then comes the cliffhanger to holdout till next book. But more gods?

I really do like this series, it's very imaginative and the characters are likeable. But most of this, and the last several novels, have felt to be mostly filler. Lots of minutiae, and not much in the way of plot enhancement. I even skimmed over some of the sex scenes, which I felt were gratuitous. Not that I dislike sex scenes, but this particular couple are a known quantity and therefore not exactly exciting. This book could have been edited down and combined with the previous one.

I am engrossed in this series and the family of immortals. From Annani and her children, especially Kian, the story unfolds from there. I did want more about Turner and Doctor Bridget in the epilogue. I am looking forward to the next in this series.

Do you remember back to almost the beginning of the series when two of the characters were discussing the book/movie, "The Princess Bride" ? Buttercup remembers how her true love, Westley always said "As you wish" whenever she asked something of him. Just adding a bit of trivia, especially as I think this book had a record number of 5 "As you wish-es". Gone reading..!

Amazing wonderful addictive i absolutely adore these books so much I couldn't stop reading when I started and read them all in just over a week!! So impatient for the next one!! Please don't ever stop writing these it would break my heart 😁

Great conclusion to Turner and Bridget’s story. This book was more fun and interesting that the last one. I enjoyed the teaser at the beginning and end of the book too. At first I wondered if I’d downloaded the wrong book!

What's not to love?

I never thought it would finally happen. This book took me to the limits of my emotions and had me hanging on every word.

This story keeps your interest strongly and develops with all the characters playing a part in it. Reading this fantasy epic takes you back in time and then to the present

After just finishing Book 19, I still find myself completely enthralled by this series. I find myself unable to not be able to pause my reading to eat and often skipping other daily tasks. Keep them coming!

These books have become my guilty pleasure, love following the multiple characters on one adventure after another.

This story took my breath away while still sitting on pins and needles. Very happy with how it ending. Now to just let Syssi and Bridget conceive and everything would be PERFECT!!!

I love this series! Once I start I can’t put it down. I have enjoyed every single book so far and I’m getting ready to start book 20. Please keep writing these amazing characters so we can escape into their world and enjoy. Excited to read Annani’s story and the introduction to some new characters.

I have to admit this one I could put down rather than reading it all in one sitting. It moves the story forward and sets up a new chapter, but it wasn't as fun or interesting as a lot of the previous episodes. Doesn't make me want to stop reading the series though, just made the odd grammar and typos harder to overlook.

I had so much pleasure reading this series. I’m addicted now. I can’t wait for the Dark Survivor: echoes of love to be available.

I have been obsessed with this series since I stumbled upon the first book (of 20 something) just a few months ago. It is hot and steamy, this one more so than some of the other ones!

Lucas magically pulled this story with compassion and even I held my breath!! So into this series!!!! On to Andurar!!!

Dark Operative is the conclusion to Turner and Bridget's story. There are several other stories mixed in a usual. Turner has always been an interesting character and we finally get a clearer picture of what makes him tick.

Each book gets better and better. I like how she switches people around in each chapter. And how previous characters are carried throughout each book.

Enjoyed the Bridget and Turner ending story. I have enjoyed this whole series. Looking forward to the next book. The continuing characters contributed to the story line.

Grrrrr. Oh no! Tell me we have to wait for more! Sighs will wait. This is one of the better book series I have read.
