31 Cute and Fun to Color Fox Designs by Marjorie Sarnat – printed one side of the page

I own several coloring books by Majorie Sarnat including a couple in the Creative Haven line. I was really happy to pick up her new coloring book which is inspired by foxes. I really enjoy coloring foxes with their lovely fur, pointed noses, and large, fluffy tails. Ms. Sarnat's designs take advantage of all of this cuteness and takes coloring a fox to a new and imaginative level. As with her other coloring book designs, the 31 designs in this book are detailed with lots of swirls and twirls (though not with extremely intricate and tiny elements to color.) There is simply so much to color and to spark my imagination. My current favorite is an homage to my days of learning to type “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog”. Long hours of practicing typing that phrase was never so much fun as coloring Ms. Sarnat's cute design. This is what I saw while coloring in this book and testing the paper with my coloring medium. I will list, in the comments section below, the coloring medium I use for testing and for coloring. 31 Cute, Imaginative and Detailed Fox Designs by Majorie Sarnat The designs are printed one side of the page Paper is the usual Creative Haven quality: white, medium weight, slightly smooth and has perforated pages. Glue Binding but with perforated pages so removing a page is fairly simple. The designs stop well before the perforations Alcohol-based markers bleed through this paper Water-based markers bleed through in spots and show colorful shadows on the back of the page Gel pens and India ink pens leave shadows of color on the back of the page. India ink pens can bleed through when I apply more than one layer of ink. Coloring pencils work well with this paper. I was able to get good color, layer the same color and multiple colors and blend easily using a pencil style blender. I tested both oil and wax-based pencils with similar results. Hard lead pencils, like Verithins, leave dents on the back of the page. I suggest either removing pages from the book to color or using a blotter page under your working page. I like card stock as it keeps ink from seeping through and damaging the pages below.

Marjorie Sarnat does it again! What a whimsical, fun, book!

If you love Marjorie Sarnat's other books, you will love this one too! I don't think that you particularly need to like foxes to really enjoy this book. This is just a fun book to color. Like all of Creative Haven coloring books, the art is printed single sided on medium weight white paper. All of the pages are perforated for easy removal (which I love, being a lefty. Makes for much easier coloring.). If you don't remove the page to color it, I would suggest putting a blotter page behind your artwork. There are 30 foxy pages to color. They range from mandala type of artwork to an "indian" fox in a canoe, a steam punk fox, a fancy dressed lady fox, to foxes leaping with dolphins! Be aware that there is a lot of detail in these pages. If you dont like detail, this may not be the book for you. I would estimate that most pages will take 4 hours or more to complete. Need less to say, like Marjorie's other books, this is lots of imaginative fun! Happy coloring!

Fanciful Fun

I own most of Marjorie's coloring books. Creative Cats was one of my very first books and I still love it! Now Fanciful Foxes is becoming a great favorite too. Theses animals are beautiful with so many wonderful designs incorporated in the scenes. Marjorie is a master at creating intricate and delightful books for us to color. The pages are perforated and only printed one one side of the page. I usually tear mine out to work on them but I always have a blotter paper underneath anyway. I like to use markers. The hardest part is picking which page one to color!

Too cute!

I'm a fan of detailed coloring books and foxes, so this is a very fun book for me! The artist did a great job giving the consumer lots of fun, swirly details to color in and could the foxes be any cuter?! Too fun. There is one thing I wanted to note and that's the pictures are somewhat smaller than they look on Amazon's page (when you look inside the book). My apologies if this is an obvious comment, yet when I looked in the book, I realized that enough of each page couldn't be neatly colored with colored pencils. Even with a sharp pencil, some of those areas are tight. Gel pens do a great job with the book, though (I rather like AmazaPens) So that's a heads-up for you! I know other books have larger areas and it's tough to tell from pictures. Still, it's a great coloring book and excellent for choosing fun and imaginative colors with! Happy coloring :)

Beautiful Fox Pictures

I adore this book! Love wild life, Love foxes 🦊 💕 Beautiful pictures to inspire your creativity. Quality paper single sided picture. I will most definitely purchase this book again, for myself & as a gift. I posted several of my finished creations. Enjoy your creative side ✨ SunShineWid☀️

Works beautifully with art markers

I bought multiple of these coloring books to give out as Christmas presents. I was worried that the paper wouldn’t be strong enough to handle markers, but they were. The girls loved receiving these books for Christmas, and I was surprised that out of all the gifts they received that morning, mine had their complete attention all day long as they colored in beautiful pictures. We all had a lot of fun coloring on these pages. I’d highly recommend this brand if coloring books, they’re beautiful and easy to color in.

Perfect for a fox lover!

Pages are printed on the fronts only, so thats a huge plus! It is not the thickest paper, but its not thin either. I use pencils, so there is no risk of bleed through, but if you are using markers, you may want to put a sheet behind the page you are working on. The pages are detailed, but not so much that it is miserable to color. There are a great variety of styles. Everything from celestial, to runes, to floral, and some illumination styles too! Highly recommend this book!!!

Great book!

Probably my favorite book I have ever gotten! Cute pics that weren't too difficult, but not too easy either. There is a veriety of pics too, so I could use different types of ink. Some looked better with glitter ink, some looked better with neon ink, some looked better in pastel ink, and some looked great in metalic in

My Favorite Book

This is by far my favorite coloring book so far. I have only been coloring for a few months so I son't have a lot of books but I love this one and I will probably buy another one. I would recommend this book to anyone if you are just starting out or are a seasoned colorer these pages offer lots of different pictures and beautiful foxes.

I love foxes

I love all Marjorie Sarnat books and this is classic Marjorie only with foxes and I love foxes... just too darn cute for words ! Great pics, all one sided and perforated, pencils and pens work well.

Favorite coloring book artist with adorable foxes

I love to color and I own several of Marjorie Sarnat's coloring books because they are so fun to work in. Not difficult to color with colored pencils or markers. Hardest part is picking out what colors to use. After a while it comes easier. The foxes are adorable and coloring them just seems to brighten my day.

Wow, this is a thing! Who knew?

My niece specifically wanted a coloring book with pictures of foxes for Christmas. I was kind of shocked to find exactly that, but I'm sure glad I did. I guess an appreciation for foxes must be a thing. I had no idea. Anyway, the pictures are really pretty and unique and I will get some major cool points from a little girl on Christmas, so I am a happy customer!

Highly recommend!

Great coloring book. Beautiful pages to color and the pages tear out which I love. The artist did a great job at drawing each page. I would suggest ages 8 and up. Highly recommend!

Wasn't for us

We found the over all quality of this book kind of lacking so we ended up returning it.

If you love foxes get this

The pixtures are great. They do have an odd outline around the inner drawings. I cant explain. But they are fun to color and beautiful design

Awesome Coloring Book!!!

These pictures of Fanciful Foxes are wonderful!!!! Love this coloring book!!!!!

fox lover approved

I love coloring, foxes, and this book covers that. Cute and fun to color in.

Quiets the mind

I love this coloring book to relax with. I love the designs and I love the time I spend in "active meditation" coloring. Perfect for that time away from the world..

Five Stars

I like the different foxes. I use gel pens and they do not bleed through. Good paper.

Love Creative Haven coloring books.

I really like the Creative Haven books. Lots of detail and good designs on the page.

Just as advertised

Bought this as a birthday party gift for my daughter's friend that loves foxes. Just as described and pictures were cuter than I had imagined!

Love this book as much as the rest I got ...

Love this book as much as the rest I got beautiful pictures and they are so cute too one sided too so I think any kind of item you use to color with will work on these enjoy your book .

They Make Wonderful Gifts, Too!

I love this so much, I bought more because I had to give one as a gift because ahem my sister stole this one. So I got 2 more. They are as playful and beautiful as they look on the cover, and so many variations! One of my favorite coloring books of all!

Not As Good As it Looks.

I returned this book. There was a page that had been removed. But other than that, It was not what you can see in the 3 previews. I am not going to buy any more coloring books that won't show me a good number of pages. Also, Ms. Sarnat made the ruff of the foxes look like a bib and she still has not mastered a good rendition of a snout, be it dog or fox.

TIRED OF MANDELA STYLE

I'm really tired of this style of coloring book! Maybe if it was a mixture of different styles

Love Marjorie Sarnat books!

Another winner book from Marjorie Sarnat. Everytime she comes out with a new book I am quick to order it. Her designs are fun and enjoyable to color. She has so many themed pages that there is something for everyone. I have come to lover her other books such as the cats, dazing dogs, and so many more. Good paper, perfect for markers, gel pens or pencils and of course printed on one side.

I really enjoy this coloring book

I really enjoy this coloring book. I like the pictures and the assortment of patterns. I use gel pens the most so I like the pictures to be broken up by patterns and not too many huge plain areas. I enjoy the whimsical patterns in this book and give it a two thumbs up!

🦊 Foxy Foxes!

What beautiful art work to color. Each and every page is unique but some of them remind me of wolves but that’s ok because they’re all great!

Creative Haven in my opinion has some of the better rounded coloring books

Creative Haven in my opinion has some of the better rounded coloring books. If it says foxes, you get pictures of foxes to color instead of random patterns with shallow copied images. Very cute.

Product came in perfect, new condition in speedy time

Product came in perfect, new condition in speedy time! I love these books. They are all printed on nice weight of paper on one side with easy tear out edges!

Foxy Fun - over 30 beautiful designs to colour and enjoy

I love Marjorie Sarnat’s artwork and also owe her Owls Colouring Book, which is a total favourite of mine and it's no surprise, it's a bestseller on Amazon. Of course, I was intrigued to see, if the Fanciful Foxes are as beautiful and can "touch wings" with the owls. Yes, they are and they can! In fact, Sarnat has stayed true to her unique style and I am very happy about it. Her beautiful designs have lovely intricate spaces, which are fun to colour, but not too intricate, to make it stressful. My favourite owl design is a steampunk one and here we have a steampunk fox, which I totally love, but there’s also a wizard fox and a cute mother with her cub, a wonderful fantasy fox with butterfly wings, a fox mandala, even a fox leaping with dolphins or one design resembling aesop’s fable where the grapes are hanging too high for the fox to reach them. There are 31 different motifs to colour in total and they are all printed on one side of the page, which I prefer, because it leaves you a whole range of mediums to work with. The paper, as always with Creative Haven colouring books, is fine, white, smooth and of medium thickness. Still, I always recommend to put some paper or cardboard behind the page you are working on, just to be on the safe side and avoid annoying bleed-through. What is even better, all pages are perforated, which makes it easy to remove the finished page, if you want to frame it. With spring in the air, I hugely enjoy to spend a couple of hours here and there and to colour the cheerful foxes surrounded by flowers and sunshine. I am intrigued to see what Marjorie Sarnat will come up with next. I am very happy with my purchase. 5 stars.

Great quality colouring book

Love this book. Ordered with another, next day delivery. The book was so cheap, yet the paper and print quality is excellent. Lovely thick paper. I tried pictures in pencil crayons, art markers and glitter /metallic gels and they all turned out perfectly. Although the pictures are one sided and are blank on the back, I would advise inserting a sheet of paper between the pages if you are using a product like the art markers, or maybe paint. Just in case, even though the paper is pretty thick. Lots of beautiful pictures to colour. Brilliant buy, especially if you love foxes!

Fabulous colouring book

Once again fabulous colouring book along with all Marjorie Sarnats books

Beautiful!

This book is absolutely beautiful! It's the third one of hers I've bought, and while I got it as a gift for a fox-obsessed friend, I'm going to have to get one for myself as well. I think it may actually be the best of the three... I really liked her Creative Cats book, with the variety of strange and magical-looking cat tableaux, but found Dazzling Dogs to be a let-down - most of that one was less weird and magical, more just Hallmark syrupy cuteness, which is not my thing. But the fox book is definitely more in the realm of Creative Cats, and maybe even a touch better!

As a gift

Have a relative with last name Fox, so an appropriate gift for her. The pictures are very nice and i am sure she will enjoy coloring for meditation and fun.

Great colouring book! I love the artwork.

Très bien

Les dessins sont très beaux, comme tous ceux de Marjorie Sarnat. Même si les motifs reviennent un peu par rapport à d'autres livres de la collection, ils sont variés et parfois drôles. De très belles heures de coloriage en vue.

They are great!

I now have all of Marjorie Sarnat's animal books. They are great!

Really nice adult colouring book.

I bought this for a friend who is crazy about foxes. She just loved this book!
