I love it I can make copies out of these pages and keep the original :) it's for my personal use I never did like coloring in the original coloring book as I use different things :)

I like this book, the paper is not first class, but the drawings are detailed. It takes a good while to finish a page due to the detailed art work. It can be challenging, but that can be good. If you like detail and your crayons have sharp points, you will have fun.

I just love this coloring book. I just got it. So I haven't colored in it yet. It does have very pretty pictures that will keep me busy for you.

There was one cringe-worthy page that was Native American appropriation and insensitive. Unfortunately part of that image also appears on the back cover. Otherwise I love the book. I showed it to a Native American friend to ask their opinion and subsequently removed the page from the book.

I am really impressed with this book and glad I picked up two copies. Even though I'm quickly tiring of the "doodle art"-inspired adult coloring book trend, this book isn't doesn't take the pattern designs so overboard that the pictures look overly busy with excess paterns. A nice balance. Each page will probably take at least an evening to nicely color, but aren't so over-done that each one will take weeks. The images are printed on single-sided, perforated pages. The paper quality is decent weight, but fairly smooth. So far, soft core colored pencils (I'm using Castle Art 120-count set) work great. I've sparingly used a Caran D'Ache full bright blending pencil and had no issues. I haven't tried my smaller set of Prismacolor Premiere pencils on this paper yet, but don't foresee any issues with using them. For markers, alcohol markers like Sharpies (I'm using ultra fine) and Art 101 Perma Marker work well, but bleed through the other side (hence single-sided prints and removable pages). Avoid water-based markers because they cause the paper to ball up and peel (I tried Crayola Signature Brush & Detail Dual-Tip Markers and Art 101 Felteez). Unless one is going to prepare the paper with geoso (check YouTube,there's at least one video about using gesso on coloring pages), watercolor pencils probably aren't a great idea here, even using water brush pens. I didn't have much gel pen bleed through, but the only set I have is Aen Art 30-count set (the ones advertised as having 40% more ink). I've only been using gel pen for smaller accent areas. My one quibble with this book comes from a comparison issue. The Creative Haven Groovy Mandalas book (copyright date 2017) contains a few blank pages. Good "test areas" for media types. If this this book had that, I could have pre-tested fine-tip, water-based markers on a page. I would have instantly realized they were a no-no and not messed my first page. I didn't have Groovy Mandalas on hand to test. I don't know why Dover Publications switched gears. Maybe people complained about the blank pages.

The package came on time, in perfect condition. I love this artist, the kittens are so adorable! I love the thick paper, and the soft texture of it. I will buy more of her books as I see them come out!!!

This book is fantastic! I’m so pleased with all the designs in this book. I’m a 44 year old woman who took a tremendous amount of art classes in high school. I used Prismacolor pencils back then, and I’m using a new box now. I have a lot of artistic talent and never thought much about the whole “adult coloring book” thing until recently, but I’ve been having a lot of fun with them! I’m playing with gamsol, and having no problems with the paper getting waterlogged or wrinkling up. It’s a heavy, quality paper. I’ve attached a photo of a page I’m testing with, learning the gamsol, because that’s new to me. It’s not fully colored, either. But I’m having a lot of fun and several of the pages I can see being good enough to frame. The ballerina kitty, the southern belle kitty, and the cowboy boots kitties are my top three images. I’m definitely going to be doing something with those. The pictures are fun to color, the kitties are adorable, and there’s lots of variety. The price is fantastic (I paid just under $5) for this many pages. I’m very pleased with this book. My 17-year-old daughter has asked me to get one for her, too.

Perfect way to unwind before bed. For amazing pictures use with gel pens. Sturdy paper, hasn't bled thru. Love these cats!!!!

Great book! Wonderful pictures! My 10 year old niece who loves cats adores this coloring book.

The lady I gave these two has been enjoying them every night. She says it helps her relax at and sometimes she loses track of time. She is 93 yrs old.

I cannot express how pleased I am with Creative Haven books & with Marjorie Sarnat's work. I have many of her books & about 15 Creative Haven books. The quality of the books & the work is very consistent. I have many other books that are hit & miss. This book like all of Marjorie's is adorable. Full of fun kittens, treats, flowers & so on. It is not overly details but detailed enough for adults & I think kids would love it as well. All of the pages are printed on one side & they are perforated for easy removal. None of the art runs into the binding & each page has a border. You get a full page which is excellent. I am tired of books that the subject is just in the center with nothing else to color. As with all coloring books if you are using markers or pens, use blotter paper between the pages. Crayons & pencils are fine. I make copies onto marker paper so that I can color each page more than once. I have included some samples from inside as well as the front, back & inside covers along with 2 pages I completed using Copic markers & Sakura gel pens.

This is a good coloring book for adults and kids. Some of the drawings are less detailed and would be fine for children while others are amazingly detailed for advanced adults. Great book for all skill levels

Very cute cutesy adult coloring book. Each page has different shapes to color so it is not monotonous. But for me, a little too cutesy to frame and hang in my wall. It would look lovely on a child’s wall. Markers bleed through.

I would of loved to see this coloring book up close and personal. Unfortunately I live in an apartment building w 6 other apartments and my package-was due to be delivered on Sunday) who knew mail went out on sundays). The boyfriend and I argued this matter and long story short.... yes the package was delivered like it was supposed to. To my luck someone had taken my package from my mail and I was left to find an empty envelope w the tracking number to this order in my yard. To my disbelief someone stole my kitten coloring book. I still rate a 5 Bc I’ve see. Pictures of this and would of loved to put some color in this book. As far as the mail thief goes. Nothing can be done I guess about this. Disappointed not to be able to color this beautiful book.

This really is a cute coloring book for adults BUT for some it’s NOT an easy one to color. It has a LOT of details in it and imo it’s not something practical for some adults. I think it has too many small details to color and it could cause more stress and anxiety than ‘relaxation’ for many people, both young and old. This book could increase a person’s frustration instead of enjoyment too for some people who have arthritis. My own mother was an artist (as a hobby) in her earlier years and her oil paintings were identical to those that we saw in museums while in Europe and were extremely detailed. Her talent as an artist declined as she got older and this coloring book is one that she would not be able to color. I’m not nearly as artistic as she and it’s not something that I would find relaxing. I can’t honestly give this book 5 stars based on this book’s difficulty although the kittens are super cute when colored in as shown in the pictures.

My favorite of Marjorie Sarnat's three "Creative" cats coloring books and it was only $4.78 with free shipping. The images are very detailed, so this enchanting book is recommended for experienced colorists. Some of these should be kept on hand as gifts for cat-loving colorist friends throughout the year. They'd also make great party favors for coloring get-togethers.

I love everything about this coloring book 🙂 The detail is awesome. I also like that the pages are thick enough to tear a page out and paint the picture. It takes creativity to another level. 🙃

I love to color in the adult coloring books, it relaxes me and lets me be creative in my own way. This book has such sweet and beautiful drawings.

beautiful book and illustrations and excellent quality. Got damaged/bent all along the side of the book due to poor packaging from amazon, but given the abuse it received it did very well. Would it have been made of poor quality it would not have survived amazon shipping.

I have ordered many adult color books and this is one that is inexpensive and has great pictures. The paper is thick as I use gel pens and if you want, you can tear them out. I'll watch for these in the future. The price is great.

Nice little book full of busy designs featuring eclectic kittens! Next will be the puppies since we own dogs and cats! Plan to use gel pens for most of these pages, but colored pencils would work too. Paper is not real thin, so with a blotter sheet or sheets behind each page, I would imagine they would do well. Prefer perforated pages, but plan to make copies of a few of the pages in this book.

My grandmother loves Marjorie Sarnat's coloring books. From what I gather, it's this artist's style in conjunction with the subject matter that my grandma loves. This book is no exception. She enjoyed it immensely. She colors a great deal so it's a good thing that Marjorie has published multiple books. My grandma can sit for hours with her 150 set of Prisma's and color to her hearts content. This has really been great for her memory. In fact, this was suggested by her physician to help with memory. It has been a very positive thing in that regard, as well as giving her a creative outlet.

Arrived quickly and in excellent condition, this is the second coloring book I've purchased from this company and I'm so in love with them. I love kitties so much and the designs and style is greatly detailed and all the lines meet. I havent had any misprinted pages i highly recommended this company.

I would agree with most of the other reviews. This book has adorable pictures of kittens with lots of detail. While there is a lot of detail, I only found a couple pictures that would be quite challenging -- the next to the last page picture with the yarn balls might not be the picture to relieve stress. Of course, if you color the yarn all the same color, it would be a lot easier! I purchased this book for a friend who loves cats -- I think she'll love it!

Marjorie Sarnat has put out another Creative Cats book. Only this time, she named it Creative Kittens. If you liked Creative Cats (which I did), you will enjoy this one. My biggest complaint is that Ms. Sarnat has put too many itty bitty things to color. They vary by page. My eye sight is no longer 20/20, so it is often difficult to color those little things she puts on a page. All in all, a nice coloring book that I'm enjoying.

I'm 81 love the kitten books color everday

I love Creative Haven books especially the one with cats and kittens. I like to use gel pens and colored pencils when I color and the paper is nice and thick and only printed on one side. I won’t buy a coloring book that has pictures printed on both sides because even with pencils and especially with gel pens it messes up the picture on the backside.

Marjorie Sarnat has done it again! Another awesome creation by her. I absolutely love the Creative Haven coloring books, as well as my granddaughters. These are so fun to color. Marjorie does amazing art work in all her adult coloring books. You won't be disappointed with this purchase. Just remember to make sure to put some blank copy paper or anything you have so that if your using markers it doesn't bleed through onto the next page. Or you can tear the pages out also. Really pretty little coloring book. I like that the backs of the pages are blank so you can use markers and gel pens. The pictures are interesting and fun. I think everyone would like this, but especially cat lovers!

Wowza! I wasn’t expecting it to take so long just to finish one page. The pics are very cute, very busy, and if you use gel pens (as I did) it’ll take forever. I like that you can easily tear out pages to share, and it really is a relaxing pastime. It’s nice to take a break from my puzzles.

this book what can i say i love it! this is my favorite of the marjorie sarant books. the big eyed kittens are so cute and fun to color! you need this book in your life! u can use markers and fine liners on this one as well as sharpies but they do bleed through because they are alcohol based markers.

The pictures in this book are beyond adorable! If you like cats, get this. The paper is decent, not too thin, I'd say the paper is about 2 grades better than computer paper. I'd heard this book was better than Creative Cats. I believe it now that I have the kitten version.

This is one of the best coloring books I have ever purchased! It can be difficult to find books that don't have too much black in them. This is exactly how a coloring book should be. It is one of my hobbies and I will be purchasing many more for friends and family. Love It!!!

Great pages to color!

This was a gift for my mother who needs this to help her with memory and brain issues. She loves the ones I have got her from this series and these kitties are her favorite of the ones I have got her so far! I recommend this and others in the Creative Haven series.

The fine detail in this book is extremely small. For those who like to color complicated detail you will have what your looking for. I had to send it back.

Very fun to color. Most of the images are very detailed. There are a few that are a bit simpler to color. I would recommend this for intermediate and advanced colorists. Might be too challenging for a beginner.

Adorable Kittens. As good as creative cats. One thing I've noticed about this publication company is the inconsistency of the perfected pages. Sometimes the pages are easy to tear out and other times they tear and ruin the picture. This refers to Creative Haven books.

This is the cutest book I have found. What I really like is there are pix that are easy & there are some that are hard. I can color what my mood dictates & that is fantastic. Kittens are posed beautifully in all kinds of senarios.

I own about 15 coloring books and I think 5 are by Marjorie Sarnat. She is definitely my favorite coloring book artist with cute happy animals that are so fun to add color to. Highly recommend if you are an adult colorist who likes animals.

This is one of the best coloring books I have bought! It was very hard to decide which picture to color first! Love the artwork and am having so much fun coloring that I have spent the whole weekend coloring instead of doing housework!

I have also colored the same author's Cats and enjoyed each image very much. So I was glad to see Kittens and am working through it now. Each image is sweet and fun to color! Highly recommend for anyone who loves kittens and coloring.
