Can't learn vocabulary without gender!
These books (unfortunately I bought two, the K-1 and 1-3) do not show the gender article (el, la) with the noun. You cannot learn Spanish (or any latin-based language) without knowing the gender of a word. English speakers don't know this and obviously the editors thought they were "simplifying" learning by omitting the gender articles. When learning vocabulary, it's imperative to learn the complete word. In many, many other languages, that means learning the corresponding article which will then affect how you use the word in a sentence (the gendered endings of adjectives, etc., etc.). Don't waste your money on this!
Too Many Better Options. A Waste of Paper
Background: I bought this for my 9 year old. Admittedly, she's older than the recommended ages but she struggled so much with Duolingo and I wanted something to give her some confidence and enthusiasm. She doesn't learn Spanish in school but she has a small amount of exposure elsewhere. Major Complaints This book was way too easy. It would be more appropriate for a kid 4-6. No articles! It's important for kids to learn la/el or un/una! No pronunciation! This is the biggest problem. There are so many pages where they are asked to read words aloud and then not told how to pronounce them. What is the point?! Tons of wasted pages. It's a big book but half of it answers, flash cards, handwriting practice (?!) and other unhelpful things. The flash cards really annoy me. There are so many free apps and cheap actually durable sets. Why would you even print that? My kid would have spent more time cutting out all the cards than actually studying. There are something like 100! Positives: There are really easy exercises that are fun for kids (coloring, matching, etc.) It definitely renewed my daughters confidence. But it didn't really teach her that much. She picked up a few words but not what I would expect from a book that size. And she certainly can't put together a basic sentence. Overall, if you have a really young kid and you just want them to flip through and get familiar with words or something for them to color in the car, maybe buy this? The Color and Learn books are 10 times better and a quarter of the price though.
Disappointed- less than clomplete.
I would not recommend this for learning Spanish to become fluent. Given, Spanish was my first language, as it was for my children, so I come from a different perspective. -The book does have lots of fun activities but I am surprised at how many of those activities are in English. This was a let down. Also there is a lot of emphasis on writing the English translation for many of the activities. I feel this doesn’t push kids beyond their comfort zone - The vocabulary is incomplete. For example in the family section they go over mother, father, sister brother, grandparents. I would have liked to see uncle aunt and cousins. Same with the clothing- only 6 pieces of clothing. I think for a 1-3 grader more vocabulary would be more appropriate. - the titles to each section do not have translations- for example. The section on clothing never calls it ‘ropa’. The section on family never identifies ‘la familia’. I think this is partly because the book is written in English. -All the instructions are in English which is a shame. So much learning comes from instructions. The book is okay for just introducing Spanish to someone but would not recommend for learning. This is far from their claim to being a complete Spanish book.
Great book. Teacher approved.
If you are between this book and the Brighter Child and 1 more Spanish Workbook, Grade 2 (Brighter Child Workbooks), then get THIS one. It has every activity from the Brighter Child book and a whole lot more. As far as instructional level, my child just finished Kindergarten where Spanish was included in the curriculum and this book is a great review and give her additional support. The back of book has colored cards of all the words and numbers learned. There is also an answer key for all the activity pages.
I'm Impressed!
This workbook is SO good! I am a native Spanish speaker from Puerto Rico but I married a white guy that doesnt speak a word in Spanish and it has been dificult for me to teach good Spanish to my 3 kids without having a full Spanish speaking house, but I still will not rest until all my kids learn good Spanish and this workbook has helped me to achieve that SO much! My daughter who is 8 LOVES IT! It has the instructions in English so my daughter can perfectly understand what is she being asked then it jumps into full Spanish. We go through the alphabet, the numbers and vocabulary every day then I have her to do the activities in this book and she loves it! She thinks its so entertaining! This is really really good! Highly recommend!
Excelente!!!
I am AMAZED by how much is covered in this workbook (especially for the price)! It has basics such as colors and numbers but gradually builds on them to provide an excellent foundation for literacy. I'll mention a few of the highlights for me: Masculine and feminine words (including articles), formal and informal use of the equivalent of you (tu y usted), spelling practice, vocabulary flashcards (which could be used for various games), relationships, cutouts to create a book for each unit, and even a beautifully illustrated "Jack and the Beanstalk" bilingual story. I'm trying to figure out if there is an English equivalent for my nephews who live in Latin America. This one is for my six-year-old because I focused on teaching him to read English before introducing Spanish in a formal manner.
So disappointing. Too much English.
This is not a good way for kids to learn Spanish. There is far too much English in these books. So disappointing. Much too much English. Translating is not a good method for learning another language, especially when kids are young. I was under the impression that this was in Spanish. 80% of it is probably English. This is not a good way for kids to learn Spanish. Immersion is best and this should have had much more in Spanish. Nouns and a few verbs are not enough. The directions should also be in Spanish. I know that there are well-meaning parents who think this is a good idea for their kids but they’d be better off investing in an immersion program.
Nice!! My son love it
Nice activity book. My son is a bit special becuase he is a learning sponge. He is 4 and a half and he knows additinmon, subtraction and he knows how read and spell in english and spanish. I know many will say this is grate but is also a big challenge when it comes to keep then intrest. Now that there is no preschool he has been asking for school activities but most pre-school books are way to basic for his level. These book is very good!!! The level is for a 1st grade and it has lost of spelling activities. We also both the addition/subtraction of the same brand and he is loving then. We also bought the spanish 1st grade activity book form school zone and he is living that one too. So very satisfy!!!
great Spanish book for starters
I bought this Spanish book for my 1st grader to begin her on some basics like number, colors, alphabet. That's just what this is. There's several worksheets on one topic so she's reviewing that topic, like colors, in a fun way. It's easy for her to read the directions and understand. It's bright and colorful.
Not just for kids
I Learned to speak multiple languages as a small child. I find it very difficult to teach my son certain things that to me are just common sense because I’m practically a native speaker in each. Most beginners books require basic knowledge of the language. This book actually starts from scratch. Numbers letters then numbers and phrases. It even has stories. I would recommend this book to adults who want to start learning. I would buy similar ones in other languages if i found them.

DOES include proper articles for nouns
This book is perfect for my first grade homeschooler. We’re from Puerto Rico so it’s very important for me that my sons be completely fluent in English and Spanish. This book provides invaluable lessons in grammar and allows him to practice writing as well as his dictation with me. I’d say this book is best for native speakers or those on level 2 Spanish who already have a firm grasp on basic pronunciation of the Spanish alphabet. And I want to clarify that there is a brief section in this book dedicated to the proper articles for nouns.
Great workbook for young beginners
I love this little workbook! In the back it has flash cards for each section and an answer key for practice work. You do have to cut out each flash card, but would make great practice for littles. Not to mention if you look at the going price for Spanish flash cards it’s a win win. They’re pretty thin so I will be laminating them. The text is really easy to read and understand. Very pleased with this purchase
Great learning tool for first year Spanish
Great learning tool for first year Spanish. I have a son in 5th and one in 4th grade and I am using this with them. It is easy to follow. Some things are a little babyish because it is meant for 1st graders but I do like that it is so simple so it makes a good first year book for even older children.
Recommended for students in first through third grade
My daughter started Spanish classes at a local university through a language program for children last fall. To help her practice her second language skills, I incorporated The Complete Book of Spanish, Grades 1-3 into our first grade curriculum. Recommended for students in first through third grade, the 416-page full-color workbook covers topics such as numbers, letters, parts of speech, expressions, days of the week, months of the year, family terms, and community terms. My daughter worked on one or two pages a few times a week as supplement to her language class.
Spanish is awesome!
My second grader decided he wanted to learn Spanish. I thought this book might help, it has been awesome in helping me remember what parts of the Spanish language need to be taught. It also has fun worksheets and a whole section of songs and rhymes to teach different parts of the Spanish language!!
Want to learn Spanish, this is it!
A great book to teach little kids Spanish. It has many exercises and pictures, drawing where you and the child can enjoy learning together. I’m bilingual so I’m teaching my granddaughters to keep up with their Spanish.
Hits all the basics and not too easy!
Just what I needed! I was hesitant with the reviews I read about it being too elementary, however, I was using this to work with a 6 year old student who just needed a review and practice. I found this to be just perfect or her. Would certainly recommend!
Excellent flow to the book
This book works great for my 7 and 8 year old. I purchased the pre-school version and the 1st grade version. I much prefer this version for begin teaching Spanish to young children. It introduces verbs, tense, colors, and sentences early on in addition to core words.
Good starter book
I like the format of the book. It takes you from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English, using repetitive tasks to reinforce skills. For me, the only thing missing is a CD so that pronunciation can be practiced also. As someone who has also studied French, Italian and Latin, the correct pronunciation would be helpful.
Really Solid, Age-Appropriate Intro to Spanish
Covers all of the basics in a logical, sequential, and age-appropriate way. Also provides plenty of repetition of skills for mastery. This has been a great tool for introducing Spanish to my eight-year-old over the summer.
Pretty good
Using this with my 3rd grader. Seems to be going well so far. So excited to see how much more she learns! Has fun little activities and repetitive enough for them to actually learn the words and meanings
For Spanish speaking kids.
It’s a spanish book to teach Spanish speaking kids proper Spanish. Not teaching English kids to learn Spanish. Words are introduced in puzzles and lessons before learning the words.
Very detailed and fun workbook
Great book! Homeschooling my kids and this is a great intro to all Spanish basics including masculine and feminine nouns. It has a bunch of vocabulary flash cards in the back as well with nouns, verbs, and expressions. Work pages have very basic fun activities like coloring, matching, and filling in blanks, pages that are simple enough for kindergarten but helpful to for adults learning.
Arrived damaged. Good learning material
The book arrived damaged. Overall it is new condition besides the tear on the side. Seems like it’s a very good workbook for someone wanting to take their Spanish past basic beginner. Has almost 400 pages of learning and activities.
Nice work book
I do really like this book. It is nice and thick. It will take my son and I a while to get through it. That being said, I will have to Google what some of the words are and how to say them throughout the book, as I do not know Spanish. It is something I wanted to learn with my son. I would think they would put the English words in the book as it is a beginner's book.
Easy to Use for Kids!
This book is GREAT for children. Very colorful, easy to follow and understand. As a fluent Spanish speaking parent, this book has guided me to teach my children Spanish from the basics and eventually reading.
Good size book for the value
My 8 year old granddaughter loves working in this book. She just started learning Spanish and the first part of the book is perhaps a little to easy for her but it helps her to remember what she is learning. The book is much bigger than I expected so I was pleasantly surprised.
Book Very Helpful
I'm an adult learning Spanish during lock down and it's great! My husband and I use these workbooks along with YouTube and we are enjoying starting from the beginning. We expect to be up to a 3rd grade level after this.
Very Helpful Book
I like how the book started with the basics. The activities, crossword and find the word, are helping my seven year old retain most of the information.
This got my kids excited about Spanish!
This is a must-have for anyone hoping to teach their children Spanish as a second language! We homeschool, so we ordered two and definitely weren’t disappointed! They arrived fast, in great condition!
Arrived in perfect condition and is good for children or adults to learn Spanish.
Arrived in perfect condition. And is a perfect bilingual Spanish book to help kids start learning the fundamentals of Spanish in the easiest way possible.
Great workbook
This is a great workbook! The only thing is, it really needs pronunciation for the Spanish words included.
Five Stars

Nice workbook
This book is bigger than I thought a perfect for my 1,4 and 8 year old to work on together
Great vocabulary based workbook.
My girls (8 and 10) were interested in learning Spanish and this workbook is a fun way to do that. It teaches basic numbers, colors, months, foods, etc. It is a great way to learn some basic vocabulary, so they can build on that as they get older. We have really enjoyed this workbook so far.
Great starter for elementary school
This is a great tool to teach my kids Spanish. So far they think it is so easy and want to keep doing more and more and want to Speak Spanish everywhere now (I am fluent).

Great for beginners
We used this book for summer time review when school wasn't in session. It is written in a manner that is easy for kids to follow along and do solo. It is perfect for reiterating concepts already learned. Very kid/beginner friendly.
Loved this book
I got what I needed out of this book. I needed to go all the way back to the basics of learning Spanish.
Good workbook
Bought this for my 1st grade, dual language student. Easy to use. Perfect to keep up with his Spanish while homeschooling, during this pandemic.

Great for beginners!
We really like these easy to understand work sheets. I took the book apart and put it in page protectors so we could work the pages over and over with our dry eraser pens.

Great book! I use it to teach students who are in grades 1 through 4 and sometimes even with adults!
Great workbook
This Spanish workbook is a gem. It has many activities for your little one and is engaging at the same time. It includes plenty of pictures and exercises so that it doesn't become boring or repetitive.
Cut rate book
Book showed up looking like crap. Pages stuck together, pages ripped and the worse is the book wasn’t even cut straight when made. The lines are straight, each page is at an angle and the pages look like they were cut with a knife.
Five Stars
Excellent book. I have bought several books for beginner level and this is the best of all.
Excellent learning tool
Great pages to introduce and reinforce elementary Spanish.
Loved it
Loved this very helpful for learning Spanish

Very happy with my purchase.
Fun but limited vocabulary
The activities in this workbook are fun but the vocabulary words are too basic and limited.
A little messy
The book is good. There was just a problem with the book itself. It looked like someone stepped on it before they packed it.
Nicely done
Great book for starters no matter your age
Colorful lessons

Fantastic from a Mexican mother and now with 7 kids almost all bilingual!

Working on helping my kids become fluent. We try to practice from this book nightly. They are 7 and in the second grade. They enjoy it. We skip around different sections depending on which kid needs more practice in a certain section. I try to make it fun and use this as a supplement to reading, watching Spanish movies and videos. I recommend it. My favorite part is that is shows how to pronounce the Spanish words in English. For example H in Spanish is "Hache". This is very helpful for me because although I speak Spanish. I did not learn it in school and I am not a teacher, so any tips to assist the kids is great.
Excellent for self study!
Easy to work for my 9 years old son by himself at home. I'll recommend to kids who mastered ABC'S.

Great Starter.
Excellent work book for young kids. I'm using this workbook along with some other material to introduce my 6 year to Spanish. She's really enjoying it.
Five Stars
great book to learn spanish
Not all words are in Spanish
The book is good for those who know Spanish. I don't know much, so it doesn't help me that everything is written in English. When teaching my son, I had to look up a lot of words in dictionary. I would recommend buying a book published in Spain where everything would be in Spanish and you wouldn't have to translate too much. I recommend Colega.

great stuff
Great worksheets and tool for helping the young ones to learn Spanish
These worksheets are really helping my 6 year old. She actually enjoys doing them, which is great. We use the workbook in conjunction with some Spanish DVDs and flashcards.

I was hoping for a workbook that my daughter could use mostly independently and this requires a lot of teacher support.
Great book for kids
Exactly as listed. In great shape.
Don't waste your money
Don't waste your $$$ on this. (You're paying for the ink on every page.) The activities are not challenging and some of the instructions are confusing for kids. (My 2nd grader loathes this book.) From a teacher's perspective, this book is really disorganized in the way the concepts are presented. I spent more time evaluating each lesson for its worth than actually assigning pages from it.
Good buy.
Arrived quick. Works well for many ages.
I would purchase agajn for someone else.
Very good book. I would recommend it.
Fun, comprehensive book that will require a Spanish speaking tutor to support proper pronunciation.
I have to admit, I am personally drawn to books like this as an adult. The big print, the great colors and the repetition and review are familiar to me and I can let my own inner child free to mispronounce and repeat over and over. Speaking of mispronunciation, that is going to be the one tough part of this book, you are going to HAVE to have a teacher to help you pronounce the words correctly. This is not a book that you can just hand over to a first grader and tell them to start on page one. In fact, the first learning page shows a Llama that is a pinata. Above it says "My Spanish Book" and below it it says, "Me llama_____" . To my untrained Spanish mind it was telling me that "This is a Llama"-- my roommate corrected me after 4 minutes of hysterical and uncalled for laughter. So You need a teacher but the book is a joy to move through and is genuinely helpful (remember, there is no pronunciation key but not sure a first grader would know how to use one anyway". It should definitely be considered for any person wanting a supplemental guide to practicing Spanish!
No pronunciation and gender articles make this a subpar book
I have taken five years of Spanish between middle and high school. I am currently working in the medical profession and thought it might be fun to use this to bone up on my Spanish of old. I realize it is made for little kiddos but I have forgotten so much I wondered if it might be good to go to rudimentary studies. While this is a colorful and cute workbook, it has flaws. I don't get how anyone publishes a language book without how to pronounce the words!! I had a slightly easier time since I have the background but it is imperative to pronounce things correctly. For example "pero" in Spanish means but. If you add the extra "r" for "perro" it means dog. Pronunciation is key to differentiate between the two. That alone lost it a star. The second issue is the lack of articles. While English doesn't have gender articles associated with words, several other languages do. I also took two years of college German (and have forgotten a lot of that too, except for listening to Rammstein to practice...) and that language it is crucial to have the correct gender attached. Also in Spanish, certain words differentiate between male and female. Loss of another star. I would pass on this book. Any thing that doesn't offer proper pronunciation should never be marketed, period.
Got It For Myself
I took French in school, so the only Spanish I know is what I've gleaned over the years. I thought this would be a good way for me to build a basic vocabulary as a child would. The workbook is large format and filled with colorful images of the vocabulary words. It's easy to read, and each lesson builds on the other. It is obviously meant to be used in a classroom setting because the words don't have any phonetic pronunciation shown. For example, the reader will not be shown told how "amarillo" is correctly pronounced. Also, I do know that in Spanish, as in French and Italian, nouns have gender, but that isn't shown in the vocabulary-building pages (i.e., no preceding "el" or "la"), so that's a major teaching flaw. Since English doesn't have genders like that, I always found that a hard concept to internalize. It would have been much better to subconsciously introduce the concept at this learning level so that it becomes automatically understood by a child. This, I think, would be useful for home schooling IF the parent knows Spanish pronunciations already. Besides the lessons, there are pages of songs and chants, set to familiar tunes. The story "Jack and the Beanstalk" is told in both English and Spanish (beautifully illustrated, BTW). All the vocabulary words, numbers, and expressions have flashcards that can be cut out. There is a glossary. There are reading recommendations. And, there are Answer Key pages for the teacher to correct the student's work. Although it has some flaws, it's a good beginning workbook for someone like me who has a rudimentary understanding of Spanish pronunciations or for a child if the teacher speaks Spanish.
Good for any student starting Spanish
This book is targeted toward students in grades 1 through 3, but there are basic vocabulary words that are good for any new student to learn. It has numbers, colors, days, months, other nouns, parts of speech and expressions, which are all fundamental to a learning a language. There are a lot of pictures to explain what the words mean. Each page has an activity to reinforce the vocabulary in that section. It's these activities that are geared toward younger learners, such as coloring and drawing. Older learners may want to skip things like coloring, but there are crosswords and matching games that are fun ways to learn too. Toward the end of the book, there are some real world applications of the language - songs and beautifully illustrated stories in Spanish. There are also flash cards to cut out and study. I keep ours in a little Ziploc bag to pull out and use when we have a few minutes. The end of the book has an answer key to make sure the student has comprehended everything well. Overall, it's a fun way to get started on Spanish.
Ok if you can help coach through missing pieces
My kindergarten aged son is in a bilingual immersion school and has spoken Spanish from a young age. I find this book useful in that context as a good, basic review book. Since I speak Spanish and can help coach my son on things like pronunciation and gender, their absence in the book isn't a big deal for us. However, if you're using this as a teaching tool and don't have that background, it would definitely be a challenge. For a kindergarten, I also like some of the exercises (such as handwriting practice) that others have called out, since practice is always helpful, but I think if we were at the age range that the book mentions, it might be less useful. This isn't a bad learning companion if you're able to spend time with the learner to cover gaps.
Great Resource and Easy to Learn
My granddaughter is seven and loves Spanish. She especially loves this book because it teaches Spanish in simple terms and starts with colors, numbers, the alphabet and masculine vs Feminine. This book has nearly 400 pages of learning activities and practice exercises. Learning is fun because there are various exercises like cross word puzzles, word find and picture puzzles. There is even a reading comprehension section for reading in Spanish. There are flash cards that can be cut out of the book. There is also a handy glossary and answer key at the back of the book. I recommend this for all children who are looking to start a new language.
Great practice workbook to reinforce concepts
I'm in the process of re-familiarizing myself with the Spanish that has been lost in space since my high school and college courses. I thought that this would be as good of a place to start as any. The workbook offers fun activities that reinforce the language basics. I've found this useful in familiarizing myself with spelling of specific, commonly used words. What is lacking is the audible aspect of learning a language so this needs supplemented with opportunities for conversation and hearing the language. I feel that this book is age appropriate for grades 1-3 and not to shabby at helping adults as well .
My Kids Are Enjoying It
While this workbook won’t teach kids Spanish on its own, it’s bright and engaging for practice. The same way watching Dora the Explorer won’t make a kid fluent, but it’s a great introduction to some Spanish words. This workbook does not have pronunciation or male/female tenses throughout, but this is how I remember learning as a young child as I built my vocabulary and then learned the rest in stages in middle school and then more so in high school. Both my kids are enjoying practicing what they have learned at school.
No DVD
Disappointed that this book does not have a DVD available for learning pronunciations. Since I don't know Spanish myself, homeschooling my son with Spanish as part of his foreign language, this book looks great, but no way of understanding how to pronounce the Spanish language. I would have bought this book immediately if it had a DVD available with it.
Good vocab but missing some basic info
Spanish language is different from English particularly around words that have a feminine or masculine gender (el/la). The article is missing with most of the words, and it's important to understand for appropriate speech and conjugation. Otherwise, the vocab listing is completely age appropriate and pretty comprehensive for grades 1-2. It might be a little too elementary for 3rd graders.
Excellent Learning Tool
Our 2nd grader has had so much fun this summer with this Spanish book. We hoted an exchange student this past school year who was from Spain. She taught our daughter the basics like counting 1-15, colors and some words/phrases here and there. This book helped reinforce those things and expand on them. She will be starting 3rd grade this year and this book has been nice to have over the summer. She enjoys the worksheets and even tests us on the vocabulary! Great learning tool!
Worksheets for grades 1 to 3 to build basic vocab in Spanish; parents don't need to speak fluently to be able to help
This is a Spanish book with English instructions. If you as a parent took maybe Spanish 1 and 2 in high school and remember how to pronounce things, you can work through most of the book with your child. If you speak spanish, then this book has age appropriate activities for children older than 5. It has things like here's-a-number-now-draw-that-many-stars, and simple vocab worksheets, like copying short words next to pictures of the thing that word means. There are several crossword puzzles and those seem to be the most complicated part. It does work up to reading short (1 or 2 paragraph) fairy tales in Spanish. All are also written out in English, and all are stories kids will likely already know - well known fairy tales. The worksheets need a certain amount of hand she coordination, like being able to draw shapes of color in the lines. That sets the minimum age for the book. The max age is probably when the child will think it's babyish. Publishers recommended age is 6-8, that seems good. Six is old enough to write letters well, and so do this book without struggling with penmanship. After age 8, the style of worksheets might feel babyish. I think you could go younger, like age 5. This publisher, Thinking Kids, also has a pre -K Spanish book. That one is better for age 4 and 5, because the kind of exercises have more circling and coloring and less writing, so better matches where little kids are at physically. At the end of the book there are vocab flashcards that you cut out. This is a good basic vocab book for age 6 - 8, and because instructions are in English and any paragraph long stories are provide d in both English and Spanish, This doesn't require you to know Spanish as a parent. You can still help your child. What is probably most important is being able to pronounce Spanish words of you see them written out. Pages have a good amount of contrast, and are fine to xerox. All the pages are printed with some color to them, and there are lots of pics.
Great teaching tool
Very impressed with this book. Has easy lessons and they are easy for my 5 yr old to understand. She's saying a lot more words than I expected. I don't have anything to compare to this unfortunately but this is really nice for homeschoolers or even just wanting to teach your kids another language. For $12 this seem very reasonable. It's also nice to start teaching my 4 yr old some words before he goes to school. We will sit in the car sometimes to wait on his sister at school and this is something we can do together while we're waiting.
Missing Essentials
Although this is a large and colorful book, it is lacking in important respects. It is important to have a pronunciation guide upfront, easy and accessible. There should be an audio component because it is hard to unlearn incorrect pronunciation. Secondly articles are essential in learning Spanish and they are absent here. The exercises are fun but I would use this more for reinforcement than as a primer.
Vocabulary only, no usage or pronunciation
This is a large size, colorful book filled with beginner Spanish vocabulary. If you are looking for a resource to support visual recognition of words, this is good. It is fun and well laid out. It mixes up learning styles and keeps it interesting. However it is primarily a book of nouns without usage or pronunciation. You definitely need another resource to support this! It is in no way “complete” as the title suggests.
Its okay
I actually got this book for myself - an adult who wanted to tackle Spanish for a long time now. It is very helpful in learning numbers, basic words and idioms ( I just started, but I looked through the book), however I do wish the book showed how the words are spelled and that to me a major problem.
Practice and Vocabulary
Fun learning activities and useful particularly if child has been exposed to Spanish. Will not teach Spanish alone, will not replace instruction, but is good practice and can help learn basic vocabulary.
Starter worksheets
We used this book with our 4 year old for worksheets to start some beginning Spanish, but he was too young for using worksheets. But I personally think it’s a good starter for beginning preschoolers/homeschooling.
Please! Just say ‘you ‘ are learning a lot. Don’t use the kids 😁
Great book. What’s funny is most adults won’t admit that it is for their own use. Good thing not too many children surf this eh?🧐🤨
My Daughter Wanted to Learn Some Spanish
My daughter wanted to learn some Spanish, so we got her this book. She was going into the 2nd grade at the time, and this was age appropriate. She has kind of lost interest over time in it, but it's a fun workbook for basic skills.
good fun colorful book for daily practice
This is a great book for daily language practice. The assignments are short and sweet, and progressively getting harder. Great for daily practice at home.
A great option for classrooms or home schooling
This book covers the subject well, and is easy to read with large print and plenty of illustrations!
Misspelled word in glossary
I haven't read the entire book. But under glossary there is a mistake. It indicates that the number twenty eight is dieciocho. But twenty-eight is veintiocho and eighteen is diesiocho.
Five Stars
My grandson loves it! Thank you!
Great book for beginners
My son said he wanted to learn Spanish so I searched for workbooks that would work for him. He is in the 4th grade and has never learned any Spanish before, and we live in a community dominated by English speakers so needed something for beginners. I landed on this because it's designed for younger children and since he had no Spanish comprehension to begin with I thought it could make a good start. The activities make it easy to figure out which words mean what and the pictures make it fun. It says 1st-3rd grade but it's really fine for any beginner
Love it
I'm using it for my daughter who is 10 and finishing 4th grade, I already know a lot of spanish so it's perfect, making it so much easier for her to learn the language, how to read and write and learn a lot of vocabulary. It's for grade 1 to 3 but it's fine for her because since the activities are so easy, it's that much easier for her to understand how the language compares to english at such a young age. It even has flash cards to cut out and its really cute.
HUGE BOOK
I was weary of buying hc you just never know how big the books are. Well, this one is huge! It will last us a bit. Goes over alot. Combined with our bilingual flashcards I think it's a winner!
Love this!
Great book to use for adults too! Any beginner student can confidently follow along in this book.
Good book
Great for beginners
