My opinion Not recommend

In a majority of the States there are much more interesting points of interest then shown.

Very Disappointed

If the sketchy job done on my home state of Michigan is indicative of the rest, you will miss most of the great places you should visit. First, the authors barely made their way out of the Upper Peninsula to mention Sleeping Bear Dunes, the Grand Rapids Art Museum (?) and Greenfield Village. What about the Cranbrook Art Museum and Institite of Science? How did they miss Detroit altogether? The Detroit Institute of Arts has the 6th most important collection in the US. The impressive Diego Rivera Mural alone in worth a trip to Michigan. Belle Isle Park was designed by the very same Frederick Law Olmsted who designed NY’s Central Park. You can walk to a pro football, baseball, basketball and hockey game from a single parking space on Woodward Avenue, assuming their seasons coincided, and we have the largest free jazz festival IN THE WORLD, every Labor Day weekend. I don’t think the authors ever found I-75!

50 states 500 places to visit

We are getting ready to take a trip around the USA in our retirement. This investment seems like a no brainer. This book has lots of pictures and great ideas. It will be fun to explore the options. We also invested in an atlas - even though we all use google to get around, it's fun to look at a map you can touch - yes- because we are baby boomers.

Something for all ages

A great mixture of interesting facts and pictures of America.

Great for travelers

I bought this book for my relatives that love to travel. The book provides good places to visit.

Excellent!

Full of photos, information about fun stops along the way. Excellent guide for the road-tripper!
