5 Minutes with Jesus

I love this small book! Perhaps part of that has to do with my affection for it's author, Sheila Walsh. I have attended over 10 Women of Faith Conferences in past years and Sheila was always my favorite speaker. She is so transparent as a Christian woman! You read her books or hear her speak and you feel like you're having a deep conversation with your best friend! This book is no different. The short Devotionals and scriptures pack so much into a few pages. I have read and reread it several times already. Sheila writes from her heart and tells you stories right from her life. The devotionals enable you to walk in her shoes, thus applying the teaching to your own life. Very practical as well as faith-filled and entertaining! I recommend this book to all women!

This devotional is easy to use. Sheila used life stories that engage you with the Scriptures given. My toes were stepped on, heart spoken too, and challenges were issued. I highly recommend this book and the rest of her devotionals in this series! Thanks Mrs.Walsh for your service to our Lord.

This is a very nice little devotional book that is easy to understand. I think it would be great for teenage girls as well as women when you just need a few minutes of devotion. It's too simplified for me, but still enjoyed it.

5 Minutes with JESUS shares daily living experiences - a little book based on Biblical truth, entwined into livingness through short stories by Mrs. Walsh, a well known Biblical Teacher. I enjoy my copy in morning devotions and have purchased additional for sharing /encouraging Friends.

I loved the short very thoughtful passages. I especially enjoyed the way the author made scripture relative to my own life. I would recommend this book to be read by every person who is too busy to take the time to communicate to our Lord and Savior. There would be no more excuses for finding the time to listen to God's message.

I just love this devotional. I had one that I gave away and just had to have one for me, so... I really love the stories that make up the devotionals. Very interesting, very appropriate. Great devotional.

Without tipping her hand, she leads readers through her version of the Lecto Divina, a well-proven way of wedding reading and reflecting on Scripture, praying, and listening for and responding to God's voice. I loved this book. Sheila Walsh writes excellent devotionals that fit into our busy days but have meaning and impact long after one is finished reading! She brings the lessons of Christ into our everyday situations in a clear, relatable way. I recommend this book to anyone who wants more of Christ in her life!

Love this book! Very inspirational! Enjoyed reading her entry and the Bible verses every evening. She is a wonderful author!

Moving and humorous stories based on various topics that lead up to various bible verses on that topic. Very inspiring and helpful when you only have a few minutes to sit and spend with Jesus.

Love the format. A quick little story then the 1 sentence message and 4-5 bible verses that reinforced the message.

Awesome book. I can really relate to what the author is saying and it makes scripture come alive for me in a new way.

This is a great book for times when you need a quick sip from the Well of Living Water. The short readings, accompanied by related scriptures (the full text, not just the reference) are perfect for making good use of time spent waiting in offices or elsewhere.

I liked the stories in the devotional, they were real stories like things that have happened in my life or someone I cared about. Plus the scriptures that pertained to the story correlated so it brought the scripture alive!!

A great way to begin the day or end the night!!!! This is one devotional I have stuck with. There are no dates in each page so you can start any day!

I enjoyed this devotional. The chapters were short but they contained material for the heart this I needed to hear. On to her next book!

I chose the rating because there was not one day that my heart was not encouraged. Sheila addresses the real stuff of life and is always willing to share hers. I know she has truly experienced God's healing in her life.

Love this devotional!! Completed with my staff at a Christian preschool and we all felt like Sheila was talking directly to us! She has a way to paint word pictures like few others we've ever encountered! I even ordered the book for several other women in my life as a Christmas gift!

Bought this as a gift and she couldn't stop raving over it! The size is cute and portable and the content is encouraging and helpful for those who want to start carving out daily time in God's Word.

This is one of the most comforting reads. I only read one section a day....just to make it last longer! It became one of my daily reads and I intend to read it over and over again! It would be a great gift for anyone young or old. So much wisdom and food for thought in it.

I liked the topics and especially the related scriptures at the end. Sheila Walsh has great insight and uses life lessons to help the reader get closer to God.

Love this devotional. Practical topics we all deal with. I have already gone through the devotions once and I'm on my 2nd time through right now. Sheila is so down to earth, yet possesses vast biblical knowledge. She speaks to me at my level.

Sheila Walsh is honest and up front. I love her accent, but her writing even more with only 5 minutes is a great way to get your focus on the Lord. I have given some as gifts to friends.

I read a chapter each commute on my daily commute. The stories and the scripture help me focus and get in the right spirit for the day.

This is the first time l have ever read Ms. Walsh books. I remember her from the 700 club, but that's it. This book is a simple but smoothing book,the scriptures were spot on. I look forward to reading her again.

i USUALLY READ THIS BOOK RIGHT BEFORE GOING TO BED. MOST CHAPTERS HAVE A GOOD MESSAGE AND THE BIBLE VERSES AT THE END I FIND COMFORTING BEFORE GOING TO SLEEP.

I like it but am not wowed. I almost feel they are a bit too short to make meaningful. I find myself choosing other books over this one, but it still has good lessons.

I was looking for a daily devotional for my team of preschool teachers, who meet each morning before school starts to pray. This was perfect. Each day the devotion would hit someone personally. I came back when we finished this book to purchase more for gifts. Time well spent. I was sad when we finished it, I wish there was more!

i love the short introductory stories. They're very engaging. The message is brief and most of all, the scriptures are written out, so you don't have to look them up yourself. Absolutely priceless for the professional on the go!

Direct and succinct, this book gives you a short commentary/story then gives several scriptures to read that you can mediate on. The balance between what Sheila is saying and what God is saying is great.
