Soft and cuddly, sharp claws and teeth. The dichotomy of a kitten
You've Got To Be Kitten Me is the first kitten/cat play book I have ever read. I have read puppy play and I elements of pony play but not kitten/cat play. This book was an eye opener in several ways but predominantly in the way it explains in the context of the book the soul of the man who becomes the Kitten. This book talks of "sinking into his inner kitten" and about our MC kitten loses his "man" as he adopts the characteristics of the kitten. You must read the book to understand. Harley, kitten, is an amazing character and much more real than others in this kink that I have read. He doesn't lose his intelligence or his ability to reason. He knows what he is doing and who he is. He stumbles across Brad who has had "puppies" before but never a kitten. Together they are an amazing couple as they learn each other's emotional as well as physical needs--and I'm not talking about just bedroom antics. Harley needs so much more than that. The affection and love that develops between these two is hard won and so wonderful. I think this is a good book for someone who wants to be introduced to the kink. It is not angst free. It is definitely not a fluffy, light story but is is very good.
Good kitten story
Harley is as much as a cat as a person could ever be, with a seemingly prickly personality but at the same time the need for attention and affection. And I loved that about him, he was lovable as both a kitty and his human self. Brad and Harley together was a fun combo, a dog person getting used to the quirky ways of a cat. There were little things that rubbed me the wrong way, things vanishing and the very sexual way Brad treated Harley at the start but it's a good book, and I liked it a lot.
Delicious
I really, really liked this book! Harley is adorable in his kitty persona and I felt for him since he was so insecure and thought Brad would replace him as soon as he found a pup. I'm happy that Brad was the right one to take care of him even if he wasn't familiar with kitty play before. A sweet and sexy story and I want Kwans book like right now. I can't believe anyone would treat a sweet pup like him so badly when he's so vulnerable.
Puuurfect
I’ve never felt so connected to pet play like I did this. Harley is the perfect cat in this. He demonstrated a cats personality perfectly. I loved how sassy his personality he was and how standoffish and prickly he was. But once he opened up to you he was super lovable. Watching him and Brad’s relationship blossom was perfect. The way it unfolds on the page was beautiful. They have got to be two of my favorite MCs in this universe. I loved the bit of drama we got by adding in Kwan too. I thought that was the perfect bit of angst. And he acted just as I expected a cat too. I would love to read more about him! Anyways these two were amazing! Loved every bit.
Instinctively falling for you
I've waited way longer to read this than I should have, because I thought it wouldn't be my thing. However, like everything these two write, they proved me wrong in how much I loved it. Harley is prickly, much like his animal choice, a cat. Brad very much resembles the dogs he usually owns. This is a very sweet, slightly angsty story about finding love, and found family. While also learning how to understand a new set of boundaries. It is written in the larger New Gothenburg world with tons of cameos, but can be read as a standalone.
My first kitten.
This is the first time I read a kitten book, and I’m sold... OMG I love Harley. I just want more. And more.
Kitty
This was the first book of its kind I've read and I enjoyed it a lot. It was different and took some getting use to but was still cute and fun and spicy. I'll be reading more if they write more.
I wanted to like this kitty play romance more than I did
I have conflicting feelings after finishing this book. On the one hand, I loved Harley and all his pricky-but-sweet kitty ways. I thought his kitty persona was fascinating, and I loved seeing how excited he got to play with cat toys, hop in a box, and climb his giant cat tree. On the other hand, I wasn't a huge fan of Brad. I thought he was just an okay owner for Harley, and I really didn't like how sexual he kept making Harley's kitty-time. There was one moment in particular when Harley was confessing that he didn't want Brad to leave him and Brad "reassured" him by saying a pet had never gotten him so hard. I guess I can kinda see that his intent was good, but for me it felt like the wrong thing to say. In addition to my lack of enthusiasm for Brad, I had a difficult time understanding when Harley sank into his kitty-space and when he was human-Harley. Maybe it's because I'm still so new to pet play books, but I found it very surprising that Brad could always tell which Harley he was interacting with. Beyond that, I didn't love or hate the storyline. For a book of this length, it felt like not a lot happened, though I suppose Kwan did go through a big upheaval. **I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.
3.5 stars
This was my first book by these authors, so I did not know what to expect. I had never read a kitten-play book before, so thought I would give it a try. I wasn't sure what to think about either of the MCs at first and something about them made me uncomfortable, so the book started out as a 3 star -- it was okay. But, as the story unfolded, Brad and Harley grew on me and I liked the last part more. The story is fairly low angst and focuses more on the relationship as they work to understand each other. They had a sweet group of friends that both helped and hindered. There were a few times I had to go back and reread a portion, and I thought Harley was a lot older than he was based on his initial description. In the end, it was nice to see both getting what they needed from the relationship. If the ARC had any proofreading issues, I don't recall them, which is always great to see (or not see, as the case may be).
Delicious story
Brad learns fast, a human pup can’t be compared with a human kitty. That’s a whole other dynamic. The beautiful kitten in de bar doesn’t even like him, it seems. Harley despises puppies, they are loud, nosy, and uncouth in his eyes. The man with the warm generous smile is something different. In no time they are on their way to Brad’s house. Very tentative Brad reaches out to the shy kitten, who knows exactly what he wants, Brad. “He was poetry in motion” Harley can’t believe Brad wants to keep him. When there a hurt puppy who has to stay at Brad’s home, Harley knows for sure Brad will choose the puppy over him. Little does he know, Brad is so smitten with his kitten! That was a delicious read. I loved everything about it. A lot of focus on Brad and Harley, even though there was also space for some side stories Brad and Harley stayed always main. The attention to all the delicate subtle noises and body language was so awesome! The whimpering, the wishers, the mews, the purrs, the frowns, the haughty looks, Harley is shy, introverted but at times quite feisty. Brad is the warm caring Master. Adorable characters placed in delightful sexy environments! For me a winner!

Must listen to pet play book!
I instantly tell in love with this heartwarming and heart-wrenching book. These characters faced realistic emotions in their lives. Sometimes finding that right person can make your life complete. These authors did an outstanding job with their character and plot development. Brad is lonely and looking for a man that enjoys being a dog in the world of pet play. He is attracted to Harley at a pet play party. Brad is open minded when Harley turns out to be a cat. I couldn't help but fall in love with Brad. He is caring, patient but knows when to put his foot down, loyal, a great lover, and protective. Harley has been left heartbroken many times and therefore has major trust issues. He does have a great heart when he allows it to be shown. His insecurities really come out when Kwan comes to stay with them. Harley hates dogs and believes Brad will get rid of him in favor of the human dog. Their love journey will be a rocky one but also one that is so heartwarming. I loved the surprise twist at the end. Christopher Solon is a superb narrator. I love it when a narrator instantly immerses me in a story with his voice. He made me feel the emotions of these characters. He put his heart into this story and this made a remarkable story even better. He gave these characters distinctive voices and brought them to life. Christopher is definitely an excellent storyteller. I highly recommend this Audible book. It is one of those stories that you want to know how it will end, but you don't want it to end. It will be one of those that I will listen to again. Happy listening!
A sweet, adorable, and fluffy read
This story was one of the best I've read this year, and is another hit by Ki Brightly and Meg Bawden (M.D. Gregory). They have created this world of theirs, full of bikers, lawyers, and other interesting characters, and I haven't read one yet that I haven't fallen in love with. While set in the town of New Gothenburg, it is not necessary to have read others in the authors' series to understand and follow along with Kitten - though I'd definitely recommend you do read them, as they're all wonderful as well, and help you get even more enjoyment out of Kitten. Kitten play is the theme of the novel, and it's so refreshing to find something that isn't part of the standard, everyday, run of the mill kink world. Not that I don't love the others, but its nice to come across something new and different. Don't let the idea of kink scare you though - this book is fun, adorable, and sweet. Trust me, it's NOT scary, and is a good way of learning about kitten play without being overwhelmed by kink. I don't really discuss plot in my reviews, as I don't want to give away too much story, but just know that Harley Kitten has been burned before by an owner, and so he's a little scared to sink his claws in to Brad. But lucky for him, Brad is patient, and may be just the thing Harley Kitten (and Harley the Human) needs to fully live his dreams. This book is definitely five PAWS up!!! And I'm super excited for book two, which will be a puppy play book involving characters introduced in Kitten. Please, don't be scared, and give this non-traditional book a chance! I think you'll twitch your whiskers in joy if you do. :)
Love this book!
audio review You've Got to Be Kitten Me is a wonderfully written story about Brad and Harley. Brad's puppy left him and when he ends up at a pet play party the last thing he's looking for is another relationship. But he finds Harley, who isn't a puppy but a kitty. I love how Brad wants to be a good owner for is pets whether they're a puppy or kitty. I really enjoyed Brad and Harley's love journey together as they learn how to make their relationship work, even when Kwan comes to stay while he's looking for a new owner. I love Brad's patience as he learns what Harley needs. This is such a sweet story and I would love a story about Kwan. If you enjoy pet play stories you don't want to miss this one. Definitely recommend. Narrator Christopher Solon does an amazing job from beginning to end. I really enjoy listening to his voice.
What can I say, I like bratty kittens
This was a delightful fluffy surprise from these two authors because...they're not known for cute to put it mildly. But this was adorable and really well done. There's a lot I really liked about this book. I liked that this book contains a breakup but neither character was terrible towards one another. They stayed friendly. I adored the casual diversity which is something you don't see often enough. Not every character was white which was nice. I liked that Harley was a cat because kitten play is not something you come across all the time. Once or twice he did go from bratty kitten to straight-up jerk but Brad kept him in check so I won't complain. And I really enjoyed Brad character. He was straight up a ball of sunshine to Harley's analytical stiffness. I will say that Harley's jealousy was not my favorite. I kind of wish we had a better explanation for why it was so bad because the one we were given didn't quite check for me. There's jealousy and then there's straight up being a terrible person which happened one too many times for me to be okay with. It's enough to make me almost give this four stars but we had Brad so it's okay and I can chill. This was super cute and cozy. It's not heavy on the BDSM but it is heavy on the pet play so depending how you feel about that, this book could go either way for you. I personally really enjoyed it. If this offer duo ever decides they want to dabble in the realm of cute again I would adore if we could get Kwan's book. Until then five stars.
redz world reviews
voluntary review of arc You’ve Got to be Kitten Me by Meg Bawden and Ki Brightley is an okay read. I had a few issues with this title which I will explain here in this review. This story is written in dual POV which is good because we really do need both perspectives to get this story. Harley is a aloof, picky guy who is into cat play. I get the kitty play; I was really looking forward to seeing that played out in a story. Usually I see a lot of dog play, so I wanted to see how being a Kitty is different. However, I felt some points were hammered home so hard that I disliked Harley. He is insecure so insecure it is off-putting. I was sad about that, I wanted to like him. He starts off great! Then well you get where I am going. I think Harley has potential it just was not reaching in this story. Brad, I loved him. Perfect!! He is a kind caring Master. He made me smile and cheer for him. Big heart and gentle hands. Overall, I cannot get behind this particular story. The “problem” they had to overcome was just drawn out too much. I think they needed to work on a different angle there. Would I pick up titles from these authors again? Yes, there is potential in this book, and I feel it can be reached perhaps in another story. Three Red Stars
I adored Harley-cat and Brad
This was such a good story! Meeting Harley for the first time, it was easy to see how so many people had dismissed him before. He was icy and stand-offish. Borderline unlikable. Until you too a look beneath the surface. That’s what Brad did. He looked beyond the obvious. I loved how Brad was willing to take a step outside of his wheelhouse and take on a cat. And lord knows Harley put him through his paces. But Brad stuck with it and started to show Harley that he was going to stick around. There were many moments that I wanted to kick Harley’s butt, but there were just as many moments where I wanted to hug him. This was such an enjoyable book and I hope we get many more stories from all the wonderful characters we met
Kitty fascination
This was a new to me pair of authors and I have to say, I liked this book quite a bit. The characters were refreshing in that I felt like I already knew them, or at least people like them. Brad was the everyman who wanted most of all someone to love and care for, both as a man and their inner "pet". While looking for a new playful pup, he found a hissing aloof kitten, Harley. Harley really embodied kitten traits and personality, needing to be coaxed into giving his trust while still showing his independence. As someone who never quite fit in with those around me, I can certainly relate to Harley's prickly nature. Their circling wasn't an easy one, but neither was it filled with unnecessary angst. There was perhaps more time spent on the kitten play than I would have liked, but overall, it was a good story. Kwan made for an interesting side character and I'll likely read his book once out. Meanwhile, I can see myself going back to look at other books in this loosely connected world from these authors. I voluntarily received an advanced copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Enjoyable pet play romance
This was a great pet play story featuring a cat, which we need more of in the kinky romance world. Harley was cat-like in so many ways, even when he wasn't in his kitty role. he was difficult to get to know and uncomfortable dealing with other people, yet he still longed for someone to love and care for him. Brad was a dom who had only played with pups in the past, but he was immediately fascinated with Harley, enough so that he wanted to learn to give Harley what he needed in both roles, man and cat. These two did not make things easy on themselves or each other, but the story was a wonderful ride. I loved how Harley and Brad interacted, and I really liked the secondary characters. I can't wait to read Kwan's story, because that pup needs someone who will love and appreciate him the way he deserves. I enjoyed seeing his friendship with Harley blossom, despite Harley's dislike of "dogs" and his initial bad behavior around Kwan. This book was a bit angsty, with humor and heart. I enjoyed it and think other open-minded readers will feel the same.
Sweetest and most amazing kitty play book ever!
Oh, my, GOD! When I started reading this book, never in a million years thought this would be this amazing! This is the best kitty play book ever written! I love it from the first page to the last. It was more than amazing and I really loved every page of it. I think the world need more kitty play book, and not just any book, it has to be this kind of awesome too. Harley was really like a cat. I'm a dog person, but holymoly, Harly was too cute and adorable, the perfect kitty ever. And I loved that Brad was a dog/puppy person but still went with the flow and played with Harley. Harley's insecurites were real, and I loved it when a story is real with real emotions and not just endless drama. Loved Harley and Brad together, and loved Kwan too. The scenes between Harley and Kwan was cute too. At some point I was afraid the book would turing to be a menage, but happily it hadn't. I really loved reading this book, and I need more like this in my life. HIGHLY recommend it.
Cats don't like to share
I really wanted to like this more. Based on the authors' other works, I was expecting something deeper and a bit darker. I also felt like I was missing a bit of context, as if there was a previous book in the series I may have missed. That is not the case, though. Even though this book is in the New Gothenburg world, it is a stand-alone. If you are looking for light and fluffy with a bit of pet play, this book is for you. The two MCs are likable and fun and I wanted them to be together, but the struggles in their relationship weren't high stakes. Harley, the kitty MC, runs hot and cold and makes illogical and stubborn leaps to conclusions - so, very much like a cat - but doesn't really grow much throughout the story. And while his partner MC, Brad, has to learn how to treat a cat instead of a pup, he doesn't really develop much either. I am much more interested in reading about a few of the side characters and not just because they're dogs. Overall, this was a light, enjoyable read, with kickball, bears, steamy scenes and side drama, and I will pick up the next one in the series.
Learning curve
The more I listened (audio version) to this the more I liked it and sunk into the storyline. I liked seeing Harley grow and develop trust and Brad learn to be a cat daddy. I enjoyed the family outing and Brad standing up for Harley and setting some family straight!! I enjoyed the kitten persona (my first cat play) aloof but demanding attention on his terms just like a cat. I was happy for Kwan, because he deserved to find safety and happiness. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life.
New-to-me MM Kitten Play
Although this is not the first time I have heard about kitten play, it is the first time I have ever read a story about it. Harley, the MC who plays at being a kitten, is in sync with who he is as a person and kitten, making the character development for this character strong and, at times, identifiable. Harley meets Brad who has had puppy partners before but never a kitten. Although Brad is initially unsure who to handle the silliness and independence that a kitten brings versus a puppy, he soon learns kitten play can be just as enjoyable and interesting as a puppy. There union is hard won and enjoyable to read as they both experience emotional and physical growth in their respective roles. The story provides a good introduction to kitten play and has good overall background characters and story development. I am interested in reading other stories like this as well as exploring the author's backlist of books.
Fiesty kitty meets his match
Brad is lonely now that his human puppy left. He decided to go to a pet play party and see about a new puppy. What he finds is a kitten. He's never had a kitty. Harley is used to being looked over for the puppies. When his cat takes a liking to Brad, he decides to give him a chance. Even though Brad knows nothing about cats and he's afraid that he is too high maintenence that he will be replaced. His fear gets worse when Brad is asked to take an abused pup in. He has a hard time believing Brad will not drop him for a puppy. Brad has to convince Harley that he wants him no one else. All he wants is his Harley cat to take care of. Do you like pet play? Or sweet characters who don't believe their worth and have to be shown? I love books with self worth and discoveries. If so this is a book for you. Cute fiesty kitty and the man that loves him. Pet play, light bdsm. Would I recommend this book? Yes.
Genuinely adorable.
Review copy courtesy of Gay Romance Reviews All reviews are my honest opinion. Brad has the whole coach Dom thing down, and he's a genuinely good guy. (Very boy next door.) Harley is an introverted, shy, easily disgruntled man who spends his free time looking for a dom for his kitten-play as Harley cat. Harley is a bit prickly, but Brad helps him with the anxiety and his worries about being abandoned for a puppy-player. These two are complete opposites, but the authors give it time to work. There's also build for the second book in the series, which I'm now looking forward to immensely. I think this would be a good book for someone new to kitty play romance. There's some heat, but there's just as much emphasis on the emotional growth and personal lives of the characters. 5/5
Not my kink, but fun anyway
After his boyfriend/puppy left him for another master, Brad Widstrom goes to a pet-play party looking for a puppy to fill the gap. What he finds instead is an irresistible but moody kitty looking for a place. Brad does not know anything about cats, and Harley Silvain is not going to make it any easier for him. And yet, despite all the odds, it seems to work… until Brad decides to take in a stray puppy, thus breaking the balance… This was fun. The story is well written with a balance amount of humour, angst, lots of smutty scenes and a very HEA. The problem with kinky stories is that you have to be into it to fully enjoy it, and pet-play is not exactly my thing, so I skipped most of the smutty scenes… which left me with a quite short story. But it was fun, anyway. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Sweet love story... with Kitty play....
You've Got to be Kitten Me by Ki Brightly & Meg Bawden is a MM romance with kitten play and a taste of light BDSM. I really enjoyed reading Harley and Brad's lovestory. It had a lot of feeling, exploring their new relationship and the pet play together, battling jealousies and fears, and learning to trust in their love. The characters are likable and I related to Harley's fear of the past repeating itself and not fitting in. Brad was sweet and I adore how he has such a good heart. Together they are sweet yet steamy, too. I liked how much it focused on them learning with each other, both in and out of the pet play dynamic. ☆I was able to read an advanced copy of this title and am reviewing voluntarily and honestly my own thoughts, opinion and reactions based on that copy.☆
Cat play
Really enjoyed this sweet love story between Brad and Harley. Harley feels so unloved and unworthy. When Brad is at a pet-play event somewhat searching for a new puppy to play with he meets Harley the irritable cat. Harley relates to cats as his personality is a bit rough. He gets nervous around people and needs his alone time. Brad is lonely and he see's potential in Harley. Brad talks him into trying to play with him. Things are going great until that darn foster puppy shows up. Is fun t read how Harley eventually gives his trust to Brad and Vise Versa. Brad is awesome! Enjoyed this book!
I really enjoyed this m/m romance novel by Ki Brightly!
I'd never read a m/m romance with a pet play kink, and the author did a great job of explaining the kink as part of the story, in a way that didn't seem too wordy. I like how she focused on respect and mutual consent for play times. Brad and Harley are so cute together!! I love how they usually wouldn't connect, but still feel drawn to each other. They are so sweet with each other, and the steamy scenes were SO HOT! There were plenty of other interesting characters that I hope to see in future books! The one issue I had was the ending did seem a bit abrupt, though the epilogue helped to close it out nicely. I really, really enjoyed reading this romance novel, and I will definitely be on the lookout for more books in this series!! A fun, quick read.
Absolute Kitty Purrfection
Omg! This is the first, full-on kitty play that I've read and I am totally addicted. The whole kitty dynamic is completely different from puppy play and I loved this! Harley is a cat in human form personified and I just swooned over how Brad, who had only played with "pups" before, quickly fell under his kitty spell. Brad was such a patient and likeable guy, and the perfect compliment to Harley's more prickly nature. The secondary characters added just the perfect amount of substance and agnst to help move the plot along and I really hope to see them again in future books. 100% recommend this book! Loved it!
Sweet and sassy!
I was excited to try this one as I haven’t seen many kitten play books. I wasn’t sure about Harley at first but as his relationship with Brad evolved, Harley the man did, too. Brad is such a sweetheart and really, the perfect guy/owner for Harley, with how laidback and easygoing but still in charge he is. Throw in an abused and needy puppy in Khan and their relationship has to tread Harley's jealousy and low self-esteem. Brad, and Khan, help Harley kitty and Harley the man come out of his shell and learn he really is deserving of friendship and love. This is very much a sweet and low angst love story of a man who thought dogs ruled the world… until he met his kitty.
Must read!
This book was amazing. We don't get too many Kitten books so when one finally comes out I must grab it. Brad was a great guy. He has these wonderful qualities about him that make us wish he was ours. Harley makes a great kitten. When you meet him he comes off as a mean kitty with a lot of jealousy and some bad insecurities. He does not open up to people easily. Trust is a hard thing for him. He does not believe that anyone would want or stick around for him. Brad has his hands full with this sweet and sassy little kitty. Brad is just the guy to be up for the challenge to show Harley he will be there for him no matter what.
Loved this!
I truly loved Harley and Brad. I enjoyed how they came together with Brad striking out at first and how Brad came to understand what it meant to own a Kitty. While I couldn't relate to Harley's level of jealousy, it was portrayed in a way I could sympathize and at times be amused by. It wasn't overdone and instead was an honest look at his insecurities stemming from his past. The entire kickball team was fantastic and I can't wait to read more about Kwan and am hoping for a story about Nicky. The dynamic between Brad and Harley was fun, sexy, and encompassed two imperfect humans coming together.
awesome!!
First off, I loved this story!! So many emotions and humor in equal parts. Harley is an adorable, feisty, snarky kitten. Brad is looking for a new pup to play with when he meets Harley. Harley has so many insecurities, he been tossed aside before and has put up a wall so that he does not get hurt again. He thinks its going to happen again and has a hard time trusting that Brad would not do that to him. This was awesome. Loved it!! I am voluntarily leaving a review from an advanced copy that I was gifted. Thank you so much for letting me read your art. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
A very sweet cat play romance
A very sweet romantic book with a lot of hot vivid portrayal of cat play kinks. As I read, I can picture the person Harley turns into a Harley cat, his insecurities, inner struggles for attention and ownership, his hidden kindness and loving nature that shine through. Brad is so good to him, nurturing yet firm to his Harley as a person and as a cat. LOL. Such a sweet read. It is a nice break from the author’s other books which I also enjoy reading. It is also nice to see other characters from other books that are connected here. Very well done! Looking forward to reading the next!
An introduction for me
I wanted to read this book because I like the author's work and wanted to try a kitten scenario story. This was a great introduction for me and I enjoyed both the education and the story very much. As a cat person myself, Harley makes a perfect cat and it is so easy to see why Brad falls for him in both his kitten persona and his human personality. Both men have so much to learn both about themselves and each other and it was joyful and emotional watching their relationship develop. I will definitely look for more pet play by this author and others.
Love Harley
What a delightful romp. The book starts with a kickball game and smoothly moves into kitten play. Brasd has only been master to puppies before, but meeting Harley the Kitten totally intrigued him. Anyone who has pets knows there's a big difference between cats and dogs, so Brad had some new experiences in store. Harley challenged him and delighted him and mystified him a bit too. The book is well written and it's easy to love all the characters involved. Highly recommend this feel good read. I received an ARC for an honest review.
Brad and Harley
These characters are fantastic! I will admit this is for my first cat play book. I love Brad who does kickball in a league!!! Eeps. Idk why that makes me excited. Harley has a job and its something with numbers but he is a cat! I loved loved loved his cat mannerisms and his hatred to dogs. It was super interesting to me the cat dynamic and the dog scenes. And I just loved them!! Harley is super complex but lovable. We also meet Kwan and i cant wait for his story!! A wonderful read and I hope everyone reads it!!!
WOW!!!!
Ki Brightly and Meg Bawden are both new to me authors. While I've read, and listened to, puppy play books, this is a first for Kitty play for me as well. I walked into this book not knowing what to expect and walked out wanting more from both these authors! The world development was outstanding, the main characters were superbly written and the side characters were adorable. I hope that Ki and Meg are planning on doing a a second book to this with the side characters.
Adorable kitty play book
This book is adorable! Brad is an amazing character. He’s loyal, loving, protective, controlled without being controlling, but knows when to be tough. Harley makes a great kitten. He initially comes across as standoffish, prone to jealousy, and swats at anyone who upsets him. But, once he allows someone in, he’s loving and sweet. He’s a challenge for Brad, who’s only been in relationships with pups before, but with patience and perseverance, he gets Harley to trust that he’ll stick around.
I liked it!
I liked You've Got to be Kitten Me. As I started reading the book, I wasn't sure if I would like it or not, but as I continued read it and Harley and Brad's relationship progressed, I liked it more and more. Harley does a lot of personal growth in this book and he is a much more likeable person by the end of the book. Brad was likeable throughout the book. It was great reading about a person being a kitty instead of a puppy. It was a nice change. I read this book using the Kindle Unlimited program.
Kitty Play at its Best!
I loved Harley as a kitten! He sounded so cute and I loved all of his sass. The dynamic between Harley and Brad was great too. I loved that they both decided to give it a try. I absolutely fell in love with Kwan too, I am so happy that he is in a good place by the end of the book. I loved all of the steamy scenes too, but I definitely loved all of the play scenes. This book does a great job balancing the play, sex, and plot. I absolutely recommend this book.
Cute
I'm not sure about this book. I did enjoy it but I like my books and little more grittier. I'm more into a good hurt/comfort angsty book. It was nice to have a kitty instead of a puppy for a change. I liked Harley and how he really took on his kitty persona but Brad was a much more likable character to me. Harley was much more prickly just like a cat would be. I'm looking forward to reading the next Kings book and this was a nice holdover till then.
Adorable
I think this was really adorable. You don't see kitty play that often, puppy play is much more popular so it was a nice break from that. Harley and Brad are great characters and it was nice to see them have to work on their relationship outside of the play and for Harley's insecurities to be dealt with in a timely and respectful manner. All in all, I thought it was a cute read and had some fun and interesting takes on kink.
Kittens rock!
This is a very original book. I've never read a book about kittens... I've read about puppies and pet play but Harley was super cute and shy... He was the perfect cat! I could totally picture him! I really enjoyed this reading. It was new and it let me know things I hadn't even imagined. I really liked that Brad was such a healthy Dom...like really trying to do his best to take care of his pet. That set a great example!
Adorable kitty play
I genuinely adored this book. I laughed at some of the antics! Brad thinks his kink is being a pup handler until he meets a shy, kitten. Harley wants a boyfriend and an owner but is scared to let anyone in close enough to him. Watching Harley in his kitty persona is truly adorable. The antisocialness he exudes is true to any cat! Kwan is in need of friends and seeing the way that friendship blossoms too is wonderful.
This was just the sweetest!
So while I love puppy play I have to say that I if I was going to partake in pet play I would probably learn more towards cat behavior haha. I love kitty play so much and this story was just the sweetest story ever! Brad was funny, loving, caring and just so real and Harley was prickly and insecure at times but just wanted to be loved! The steamy bits were hot and the chemistry off the charts! I loved this so much!
Ahhh I need more
I absolutely loved this story. It was so fun and I loved how feisty Harley was and how amazing Brad was with him. Their relationship was fiery off the bat but definitely had it’s ups and downs. I loved getting to know the other characters and developed this love of Brad and Harley. So sweet and such a good read I had to read it all in one sitting. Highly recommend and look forward to much much more!
The transition from puppy to cat - a challenge that makes an enjoyable read
In Harley, the authors have created a character who really reads like some cats I've known. While switching from having a puppy to a cat is a challenge for Brad, he adapts and the authors have created a believable romance. I enjoyed that the challenge to the relationship wasn't dark (though I really felt for Kwan) but made sense when connected to Harley's backstory.
Fall in love with a kitten
This was my first kitty play book. It’s so cute but in a good way. Brad lives being an owner and giving care. He’s only had puppies but there is something unique about Harley. Seems kittens have a hard time finding owners with the patience to put up with a cat. Brad is a true giver and perfect for Harley. I live them together. They balance each other perfectly.
Great Read
This is one of the best kitty play I have read in a very long time. Harley is beautiful and has real problems than others I've read. Brad and Harley are an amazing couple with not just a physical connection but an emotional one as well. This book gives such a highlight into this kind of kink and is beautifully written.
So Cute!!!
Omg! Kitty Play!!! I loved this story and loved that you got to get to see a different side to to pet play u don’t normally see. Everyone needs a Brad in their lives. Harley cat took a little warming up to but that’s to be expecting as he is a cat. Looking forward to the next book!
So cute
I've never read a book with pet play so much of the story. But personally knowing some who are pets this was a very good representation of them. The story was sweet and cute while still having passion. I definitely enjoyed it and cant wait to read Kwan's story. **BoyzClub Review **
Pretty good
There was a lot I like about this book. Most animal play books I’ve read the pets are always sweet and lovey. This book is different. Harley is a cat and he acts like a true cat!! Attitude and all which I loved!!! I felt the ending was abrupt and wasn’t really satisfying for me.
Absolutely adorable
I have read kitten play before but I enjoyed this one sooooooo much more!! Harley was the most perfect kitten/cat ever!!! I absolutely love cats and Harley was amazing! Brad was so amazing with him and the two of them were beautiful together. Such a sweet story! Loved it so much!
Kitten
I’ve seen a lot of Puppy Play books out there, but I think this is only my second Kitten books. I love that it is an aspect of BDSM that isn’t as common in the world. Brad helping Harley through his insecurities and their developing relationship makes it a great read!
Purrfect
Love anything set in New Gothenburg it's such a great group of characters these authors have created. I honestly wasn't sure if this one would be my cup of tea though. Don't read per play but this was fantastic just so much fun. Little shocking lotta naughty😉
ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT...
Absolutely Awesome Read, Loved it, and Reading from this Author will have you hooked and wanting more Always, well written, great characters, Awesome story line, I voluntarily read this ARC for my honest review and loved it, thanks for allowing me to read your work...
sweet, fluffy, kitty play
I really enjoyed this story. It was sweet and fluffy with the only angst coming from the insecurities of one of the MCs. There aren't many kitty play stories out there so this was a refreshing change of pace. Brad and Harley cat will make your heart melt
Cute Kitty play book
I really enjoyed this book, I love getting to read kitty play and this one didn't disappoint. I really liked Harley, he definitely has a cat like attitude and Brad was sweet and they worked well together. Overall it is well worth the read.
Lovely light romance
This is a perfect choice if you're looking for something sweet with only a touch of angst. Harley's behavior seemed appropriately feline, and I enjoyed being in Brad's head as he figured out the difference between owning a cat and a dog.
Meow!
I absolutely loved this marvelous, delightful, grab-you-by-the-feels, charming, adorable, amazing, sweet, lovely, poignant, sexy, engaging, and totally awesome story. It's my first kitty play book, but it DEFINITELY won't be my last!
Sweet kitten
I loved this quirky book. Harley was such a contradiction from the start while Brad was clueless about what he actually wanted. I received an advanced copy of this book and was not required to leave a review
A good kitty of a book
This book was pretty sweet compared to the other books in New Gothenburg. I enjoyed seeing the kitty play in action, and thought Harley and Brad made a good couple, and owner/pet.
very good
this was so adorably sweet and this cover is soooo cute. i love it so much.. these characters are fun and interesting.. it is sexy and the writing is amazing by these two authors. i loved it
Good read
I enjoyed this story. The characters are fun and caring. Harley might need to let go of his fears and his stats, but his master is there to remind him of what he has to look forward to.
Kitty play
I loved that although Brad usually had puppies for play he decided to try kitten play Harley was very skittish around other people but with Brady's help learned to be a better person.
Sweet Story
This was a sweet story about someone finding the person that beat complements them and their kink. I hope Kwan gets his own story.
Very good!
4 1/2 This was the first kitten play story I’ve read and now I’m hooked. The connection all the characters have is sweet. I can’t wait to read more about their dog friends.
Brad an his car Harley
This book was about falling in love even with insecurities. But you can't let th Jose same insecurities hold you back otherwise you will miss out.
