I love this manga. I first watched the anime but started reading the manga because I couldn’t get enough. It has everything I’m looking for great story action funny with a little romance. I just wish the they would finish the anime!

This volume is Soo-Won centric, although it must be noted that the first and last chapters are still about our main squad. But the antagonist of this story, Soo-Won has remained more or less a mystery so far. While Yona and her group have been going around collecting the four dragons, Soo-Won has been rebranding the kingdom. He has a different vision from the pacifist King Il, but he also is not focused on war as earlier thought. The story is about when he arrives at the Earth tribe's manor to visit General Geun-tae, and subtly manipulates him into encouraging his people. Soo-Won may not be a traditional warrior like the General or Hak-Son, but he is sly and knows how to use his charms. This becomes apparent when towards the end, the General realizes that he underestimated him, and thought him to be a weak son of a great General. It is a bit too convenient and simplistic, but I am still interested in how Soo-Won will run the kingdom. Meanwhile, Yona finds the fourth dragon, Zeno (more like he finds them) and now they have to evaluate what they want to do next. They can't very well march right into the capital and the palace, even with the strength of all dragons, and Yona has different priorities on her mind right now. So they retire to Ik-Soo's village to help out the people there for the time being. This volume was a little different from the others, obviously, since it takes us away from the main group and introduces us further to the other main character of the story. Soo-Won's relationship with Hak and Yona cannot be denied or forgotten and he still has a hold on them. It would be interesting to see how it develops further, and what role Yona would play if she ever tries to take back the kingdom. ~3.5 Stars In the first quarter of this volume, we get to meet the fourth dragon, and get settled a little with Yona and the group. At the end of the volume, we also get to see how she's dealing with her interaction with Su-won, and how Hak is reacting as well. Aside from that, though, the rest of the volume is taken up with Su-won visiting one of the palaces. He acts like a good guy, not very serious or smart, when he's really manipulating everything without them all noticing, up until the end. Mostly it's for good reasons, at least that we know of so far. It's an interesting plot point, which was important and makes sense. But it was also boring to me and took me forever to finish, both because I don't care for Su-won, and because I had already seen it in the anime. Hopefully we'll get something new next, and I can't wait to get back into this. (A review copy was provided by the publisher, VIZ Media, for an honest review. Thank you so, so much!)

This volume was great when it came to the main characters plot which is what I read this for but this volume was also really villain heavy which if you have not watched the anime, its really interesting to see how it all plays out, but if you watched the anime and you're reading the manga it's the part where it just feels clunky and it's more the political side of things so if you enjoy that kind of thing (I do but I dont but that's not the point) but I just wish it was more interesting! Because of these points I have to give it 3.5 out of 5 stars read it to continue whats going on but not one of my favorites.

I wish the complete anime were made for this series. Watch Season 1 and then move onto the manga starting with book 7. I watched season 1 on Crunchyroll. By the way, this series is on the top 10 list of the last decade. Various sites “bested” it so hence my viewing of it. It’s action, adventure, a little fantasy (but not overdone), humorous moments, sexual tension...multifaceted.
