This book may be for children, However, I had to order it for myself. I'm just captivated and love everything about wolves. I volunteer at a wolf sanctuary and in doing this I had learn a lot about wolves. Nonetheless, while reading this book I learn some things that I did not know. Like I did not know that wolves evolved from an ancient animal called Mesocyon or that they can swim up to {8} eight miles. This is a very informative book about wolves for everyone to learn interesting and fascinating facts about them. The pictures of the wolves are gorgeous and stunning. I like that it has photos of the different species of wolves. As well as pictures of adults, young wolves and family groups. Kids will love this book and whomever who wants to learn about wolves. I think that everyone should know the true facts about wolves. So that they can understand their behavior, their habitats, and their Ecological roles. That way people would not be so afraid of them. Or want to kills them off. Wolves are being hunted every day. And if we don't learn how to live with, not just these animals, but all animals. They will become extinct. The only bad things about this book is the pages with the facts on it is a bit too dark. Also I wish that it have more facts. I received this E-book free in return for my review. I love, love, love wolves! This book was entertaining to read. It makes for a good bed time story, or for educational purposes. PROS: - Beautiful imagery. The pictures of wolves are gorgeous, majestic looking, and powerful. Me and my son loved viewing them. - The facts are interesting and engaging. We had a good time learning more about wolves, their mannerisms, lifestyles, and general information. - The font was a great size that wasn't too small and an eye sore to read. CONS: - The only real con I can think of with this book, is that on some of the pages it felt like the font color was a bit dark for the green gradiant background. - It's a bit on the short side (but none the less, it still had a good amount of facts and is perfect for younger kiddos without the longest attention span). Overall, I thought this was a great book for those who love wolves. It's a good educational suppliment for curriculum as well. *I only review products that I am genuinely interested in and have used, tested, tried. My opinion will always be 100% honest - if I love it, you'll know, if I don't, it will definitely reflect in my review. This book on wolves was fun for her because we don’t own any pets, and wolves are similar to dogs (cousins, in fact). This kids edition had my daughter saying “aww” and “it’s so cute” several times throughout the book. By the time we started reading this book, we had already been through 4 Speedy Publishing books and she was already swiping past the pages with the words on them. I think it might be more helpful if the pages with random facts also had a picture of some sort to accommodate it. Possibly even a picture related to the fact. However, I’ve come to think that as random as the pictures were, it wouldn’t matter if the fact didn’t match the picture at all anyway. We went through this book twice in one sitting and I slowed her swiping down the second time to talk to her about what wolves are and what some of the words the pages were emphasizing. The great thing about a picture book such as this is that we would make up a background story for each of the pictures and she would immediately jump to “that’s the mommy wolf… and that’s the daddy wolf!” most if not all of the facts were interesting (as an adult reading it) but the book would do just fine without any words if the intended audience was in the 3-5 year old age bracket. Although sometimes these books can frustrate me because I naturally search for logic, I love getting these books for my daughter because it does pique her interest and helps her explore and, I like to believe, also adds to her imagination. I would say that this book is for anywhere from 4-8 years of age. The photos were great, and worked very nicely on our kindle fire tablet. There was a variety of photography showing different types of wolves at different ages and in various settings - snow, forest, mountain, etc. There were several pictures between each page of text, which was also nice. The text was brief and to the point, but pertinent, providing interesting facts or statistics about wolves. This is a great non-fiction book with basic facts about the North American Wolves. It has a lot of pictures which children will love looking at. These pictures are coupled with facts about a variety of wolves. It tells all about how they live and piques the interest of the children to learn more about the animal. It has some vocabulary that might be difficult for early readers, but would be great to discuss together in order to expand their learning. This would be a perfect book for children who are interested in wolves and want to learn more about the ways they live. As a teacher I think this would be a fun book for a student to use for a research project or non-fiction book report. It would provide them with some basic facts about wolves and they can use this as a starting point to learn more information. A good addition to your library! I ordered this book for my 9 year old who loves animals. she and i read it together and we both learned so much. This book has all facts about wolves. from where they live and how they hunt to how they travel and how long they have been around. The one big thing i did not know that i learned in this book is that usually only the alpha male and alpha female mate. The other females in the pack come baby sit but do not have pups of their own. The one thing i love about Speedy publishing is they use easy to read fonts and the words are easy for kids to read. I also love the pictures they put in their books, and this book is no different. The pictures are great! I highly suggest looking in to other Speedy Publishing books. You will not be disappointed in what you or your child learn. i love wolfs so i like to learn what i can about them and to teach kids what i can about the wild so they under stand we need them in our world. this book breaks it down real while for kids to understand and with some of the most beautiful pictures of them in the wild with there cubs and all. fun facts about there packs and what a pack consest of there way of life where they are in the dog family. there feeding and there mating for life. it is very interesting book with info that anyone could stand to learn and under stand these beautiful animals. i got this book for free to read and give a honest review on this book, great for kids

Wolves of North America is a great informative book with lots of pictures. There are a ton of beautiful color pictures of all different kinds of wolves- different colors, mamas, babies, packs etc. there are also a lot of informative facts such as what they eat,where and how they hunt, how they live in packs, how long they have been around,where they live,Native American lore . It was very interesting and I actually learned from it. My daughter is 18 months old and she enjoyed looking at all the pictures, we didn't get through much of the facts together because they were on their own pages so when there wasn't a picture she just wanted to swipe through but we enjoyed it none the less. I know (well, I'm pretty sure) that the photos used in this book are all stock photos. This is a good thing. As other reviewers have said, these are very high quality photo in all regards. The content seems to be very accurate and digestible for young readers who might have some interest in wolves. The book is arranged to have almost alternative pages of photos and descriptive text. The descriptive text are about 2-3 sentences each about general information of wolves. They are long enough to challenge beginning 1st grade readers, as well as long enough for adults to be able to read to younger readers. I loved this ebook mainly for the pictures. The photos are gorgeous, like they should be on a wolf calendar. If you have a child who enjoys looking at photographs of animals this is a great "picture" book. There is no actual writing on the pages with photos. On separate pages, between the photo pages, there are lots of fun facts about wolves. It's very basic, simple information, I'd say for elementary ages. The main value of the book to me is the photos. It is not a read that will take much time at all. There are no paragraphs about wolves or describing wolf behavior, just simple facts. This is a very informative book about wolves for children in the middle school age group. There are a lot of really nice photos of different species of wolves, adult as well as young wolves and family groups. The facts and information about wolves matches with what I knew about them and appears accurate. Received this e-book for free as a promo and have really enjoyed it. This is the second book that I have gotten for my kids from Speedy Publishing. I will admit that this was more for myself than the kids as I love everything about wolves. I really enjoy the fact that the book offers as many pictures as it does. This helps my children get to get a up close look at what the wolves. The images are high quality and are very detailed. My only issue with this book is that in my opinion could it use more facts about the wolves. We did learn some interesting new facts about wolves and I would recommend to those who have young children who are fascinated with wolves or nature. One of the interesting facts from the book is that wolves can eat up to 20 pounds of meat in one meal. Overall all I feel that this is a good book that my kids and I will enjoy looking at and sharing with other wolf lovers. The fact that it is e-book makes it nice as it means that I can pull my account up on any of my devices and always have a copy of the book handy. The book also uses colors that are easy to read and that do not hurt the eyes and the text is not to small which is also helpful especially to those who often have to stain their eyes in order to read. I would recommend this book to anyone and it would have only wish that it was longer and had more details on the wolves.

I just finished reading this book and I was amazed at all the beautiful pictures that were part of it. I feel most kids books don't put enough pictures and I feel this was an excellent balance of basic common facts about wolves and a lot of pictures so kids can see wolves interacting with each other. Pictures of the pups were adorable, I had to attach my favorite. I think this is an excellent introductory book for kids wanting to know more about wolves. I was given the book for evaluation. This is a great picture book with some facts included. We enjoyed looking through the pictures and talking about the way that each wolf looked different. The facts included were short and interesting. They are easy to remember so the children really do take something from this book. They can also just look at the pictures and see that even though they are all wolves that they all look different which is a great lesson in itself. A great book for children to learn about wolves. The book comes in an easy to read format coupled with vibrant pictures and easy to read facts. This book would be great for children in middle elementary grades 3-6 in my opinion. The pictures are bold and jump off the screen. Once again my one issue that I have noticed with the publishers is that the book is not in traditional page flip format, side by side. I think it would be better for a child to say see image or wolf on one side then read the facts but again this is a minor annoyance. This book is a great value and at the time being free is well worth the download to your kindle account. I highly recommend this book.

This is a 52 page quick flip book filled with short, informative facts about the wolves. There are about 26 really up close and beautiful shots of the wolves in movement, with their packs and cubs. It's neat to look through these photos and get a brief glimpse into their reality. This book was fun for me as an adult to read and look through, and will definitely keep any little ones interested and cause some good conversations as well. The pictures are breathtaking and my two year old daughter thinks the "dogs are sooo pretty!" I like the simplicity of the book. I got this e-book for my children and they absolutely loved it. Beautiful pictures are throughout out this book. Nice up close pictures of such a majestic animal. There is useful simple information about wolves inter-mixed between the pictures. My girls thoroughly enjoyed this book as well as the pictures. It kept them interested from beginning to end. At the time I got this book it was offered for free for all customers on Amazon. My only negative is that my girls really wished it was a little longer, that is my reason for a 4 rating but other than that my kids raved over this book. It's as if the pictures were just thrown together in no particular order and without consideration for the reading material. It's very basic, could possibly a grade school project as facts are put together without thoughtful planning. We read the material to our toddlers but mostly looked at the pictures and talked about what may be happening. For our little ones, it's a fine read, but I wouldn't recommend it for older kids. According to this book, wolves are nocturnal, and that was an interesting fact as we previously thought they were diurnal.

This is a delightful introduction to basic wolf facts, along with beautiful illustrations. I read this to my 7 yr. old grandson, and he was fascinated, wanting to learn more. Any book that inspires a child to read and learn more is a great tool to me! I highly recommend you read this to your young children to peak their interest in wildlife facts.

I am always looking for books to add to our home school collection. I was very excited to see this one available for free. It offers good information about wolves. My four year old absolutely loves when I read her the book about "the big doggies with the pretty pictures"! Photos of wolves in their natural habitat can be inspiring, speaking to some wild within us. That's what I found when I lived in the wolf country of Yukon Territory, Canada. This book vividly brings back some of those feelings and makes my memories quite alive again. Besides the 26 powerful photos of single wolves, packs and cubs, the short facts about each photo focus on the nature of the wolf. This combination makes it a gripping read and should hold a child's interest.

I gave the book 3 stars because this kind of book in e-format is not the greatest. There were interesting facts about wolves and excellent pictures, but it did not hold the attention of my children for very long and they kept asking where the words were. I received this at a reduced price for the review.

This is a very informative book on wolves that could definitely be used by children doing a report for school. It's also great just for kids interested in wolves. Lots of information and facts, as well as tons of great pictures. The pictures range from baby wolves to adult ones. I definitely recommend this book. The hand draw pictures in this book are done beautifully. The pictures that were taken by someone are amazing. I love how you get to look at a wolf picture then you learn a little wolf fact. I have learned a lot about wolves that I didn't even know about. My son G. learn stuff without even realizing it.

So, I had the idea to get this product for my child who loves wolves but I ended up stealing it. I'm a little ashamed but come on they're wolves. Seriously. Who wouldn't do it? I received a sample product to test and evaluate and give my unbiased feedback to you. This is my honest opinion of the product. If anything changes during my usage, I will update my review.

This was a very engaging book for my 10 year old. She is a little old for this type of book, but she was able to learn some valuable information. The pictures were detailed and clear. .For my honest review, I received this book at a discount.

My daughter is 12 and loved it (she LOVES wolves right now) but said she loved the pictures most because it was a little too baby for her now. LOL!

Fair warning, I received this at a discount in exchange for my fair review on this book. I actually got this for myself actually because I love wolves. This is a great book to start a kid on a drug like addiction to wolves. This book is set up with fact statements inserted between beautiful photos. There were plenty of pictures of gorgeous wolves and the facts would be really cool to read for a kid. I kinda want little kids just to give them this book.

There is so much misinformation about wolves. It's important children learn about them to understand their essential value to the environment. This little book is a wonderful introduction for children. Highly recommended.

Bought for my grand daughter (age 6) who loves wolves. Informative and good pictures.

Your kids will get a kick out of this, they'll probably start spewing random wolf facts at the dinner table or towards friends during dinner parties. Joy! The book should have mor information on different varieties of wolves. Be warned your kids will probably plow through this in 10 minutes so have a bunch of these ready. The illustrations are nice though the wolf 'facts' should be a little more robust. This is a time killer for kids. I recieved this product for free in exchange for my unbiased review.

This free to read kindle book for the app is just breathtaking. My son absolutely loves reading about wolves and this was a book he hadn't read yet. We both loved the pictures and the facts that we both learned about. Yes, I even learned a few new things about wolves!

My son and I like to read together and this was one of our favorites by far! We love to read about the animals especially since these are natives of where we live. My son said his favorite part was the pictures.

I was looking for a book that actually taught me something. More than half of this book was just pictures. There was 1-3 sentences on each page!!!😔😔😔😠😖😬

The kindle version is full of quality photos of these gorgeous creatures. I think the book is good for younger elementary. Few words on each page. I did notice the book refers to pups as cubs. I'm not expert but, I learned they were pups just like other Canids? I think this is one that even a child interested in wolves wouldn't look at more than twice. I reviewed the book at a discount or free for an unbiased review. It would be a good one for reluctant readers who are minecraft fans that you pull in with the wolf hook. I was personally hoping it was suited for the upper elementary set (reluctant minecraft fans) and it wasn't. That is not why I gave it 3 stars, I just think it's ok. If you're trying to get 20 minutes of reading in a day with a young minecraft fan who is not a fan of reading you might try the wolf hook. If it's still free you can't go wrong. ;)

My kids and myself love these coloring pages! They are not so detailed that kids cant do them, but also not so simple that adults would not enjoy. Definitely looking forward to more from this publisher!

I received this book for free, Kindle edition, to write a review on it. i think that for a kids edition it is very informative. has a few complex words but nothing that cant be googled. I think that this can help kids learn even more. It also has a lot of interesting pictures to look at.

Love, love, love wolves and this book is so well written, understandable and catches your attention from cover to cover. The information found within really opens the eyes and helps teach not only children but adults about these amazing creatures.
