Not as organized as Id like.
I bought this to work on with my 2 year old and it was too unorganized for us to work on quickly enough to keep his attention. I liked the stickers themselves and the informative descriptions. I just wish they organized the stickers in a way that corresponded with the pages they go on to make it easier to find them. Some descriptions and trucks are too similar so a little more organization would be appreciated. I enjoyed Rodger Priddy's First 100 Stickers: Trucks and Things That Go: Sticker book a lot more than this one.
Comparing 2 Truck-sticker books
I am comparing 2 similar books: one is Truck (Ultimate Sticker Books)by DK Publishing, 2006, and the second is Sticker Activity Trucks (First Learning) by Roger Priddy, 2003. While both are Truck sticker books for children, I give the first a rating of 1 star, and the second of 5 stars. My toddler was given the Priddy one first, and the experience was fantastic. After he finished to put all stickers in place, I bought the DK one for him. The experience was terrible and frustrating, so I bought a second copy of the Priddy one. They are both similar in that they are sticker books for children, they have a comparable number of pages, same format, and roughly the same printing quality. Price is close in range, Priddy is close to $6 dollars and the DK is $7 (15% more). Contents are dramatically different though. Priddy is best in all accounts of design and pedagogy. Pages are color coded, trucks have identifiable names such as "mail truck" or "tractor"both under the sticker and on the page where it supposedly goes. DK on the other hand has a very poor 1-ink green printing on the pages where the sticker go, there are no matching names on the sticker page, and placing page, but instead a long description of some obscure fact. DK has no identifiable names either, but rather opts for a series of pickups with big wheels that where part of such or such race. In quantity Priddy also wins, with 100 detailed images, versus 60 for DK, but the most important of all differences is in that while Priddy includes a shadow image of the truck, on the page where the kid is supposed to place it, DK places a shadow of the sticker, not the truck, which has a lot less detail and resembles a cloud more than a truck. There were many trucks for which we could not even find a placeholder, and I am much older than 3 or 4, for which this books are recommended. I am considering using these two books as an example of how to solve a book-design problem correctly, or get it all wrong in a class if the subject is appropriate. My spouse who is more accommodating suggested they could do cards with the stickers of the DK book that were not too ugly, but they could not find 24. The buying recommendation is obvious in this case: buy a Priddy instead of a DK, unless you have a passion for retrofitted pick-ups. As for us, we are extending our skepticism to all books published under the DK seal, and will look instead for what other ones Priddy has to offer.
My son's favorite
My toddler loves this book! He looks through the pages like it is a Sunday newspaper. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
Great little sticker book!
We got this for our 1.5 yr old son to entertain him on a long plane ride. He loves it and has kept playing with it ever since! He likes pulling off the stickers on his own and sticking them to random pages. They are removable which is great, but after a couple times of removing them they basically ripped and/or didn't stick anymore. I plan on buying this again when he gets a bit older and can match up the stickers to the right spots on the page haha.
Love it!
I use this as an inexpensive reward system for a 6 year old who loves trucks. I removed the sticker pages, gave him the book & he earns one sticker at a time. He loves figuring out where it goes in the book & reading the description.
for the money its great....
A must for young children in lew of crayolas and the feared mess crayolas can make. My 3 yr old great nephew loves trucks and the sticker book is a great/cheap way to kill some time customizing everything that needs to be customized in including his spot at the table......;-)
He loved picking the stickers
Used this to support potty training with my 3 year old grandson. Each time he used the potty we got out the truck book and he picked a new sticker. He loved picking the stickers. He often spent five minutes just deciding which on he wanted next. Then we spent time finding the page where the sticker belonged. So, it was educational, fun and motivating.
Nice little book
The book is high quality and just right for an inexpensive birthday gift or just because. I bought it to give to my grandnephew, age 5, when they stop for a short visit. I don't know what toys he has or what he likes, but any little boy should enjoy this. I will keep the sticker books in mind for future gifts.
Not really reusable
This advertises as a reusable sticker book but the stickers are hardly reusable- one would have to be very careful with them. The book has a lot of details about trucks but they are too much for a young child.
Not many stickers
Nice but not worth the money. I expected a lot more stickers for the price. The pictures and stickers are beautiful but no many stickers

More of a thin magazine than a stick "book"
Bought this for a Christmas present, but it is more of a thin magazine than a "book." Even though the description says it's paperback, I was very disappointed in how few pages it had/how thin and flimsy it was. I won't be giving it as a gift.

This is sticker book #2 of this brand for a truck & sticker loving toddler. I'm sure #3 will be ordered soon. He loves them!
Let down
Stickers are really cool but do not stick to anything once removed from the book. Disappointed
So many trucks!
My 2-year old loves trucks, any and every kind of truck. Well, they are all in this book! He absolutely loves taking the stickers off and finding where they match up in the book.

Would buy purchase again...
Information about each vehicle is a little advanced for a child under 6; however, my 4 y/o is a fanatic over trucks and knows more than he probably should about them. We enjoyed matching the stickers to the correct vehicle and learning a little more about each of them. There are more stickers than needed.
Fun
Lots of fun for my 21/2 year old
Horrible!
Arrived a complete disaster!! Would never order again!
Great!
Our 2 yr old loves these books! Great activity to do together.
Good for older kids
Some stickers did not match.... kind of difficult for 2 year olds, better for older kids.
detective
Bought this book a few months ago for our expected car travel. Flipped through the pages & at 1st glance it is a very short sticker book. Now that we have been on our trip he has pointed out to me that it is missing a page.. we have extra stickers and no place to put them. So beware with this purchase. You can get similar books with defects at the dollar store. Very disappointed with this purchase and not looking closer.
Four Stars
Lots of stickers and fun book for any boy or girl!
Truck Sticker Book - the perfect gift for that little truck lover.
Bought this book for little one that loves trucks. He loves this book and can interact with it. That makes everyone happy.
GREAT BUSY BOOK
My son LOVES anything with wheels and this book is such a great "out to dinner" book. He stares at it and loves to pick out the stickers. We have purchase several others similar also and are happy.
Love these books
My son is potty training and we use these stickers which are life like and provide description for his potty chart. It doesn't tell you that it also has pages for older kids to place in the book versus just using them for stickers but we love them.
My nephew love the book
My nephew love the book
Not as good for toddlers
Other reviews are accurate. It's hard to find where to place the stickers, especially when playing with 2 year olds.
Love DK, love the sticker books
Love DK, love the sticker books....these stickers would not stick to the pages, it was embarrassing as this was a gift.
Lots of BIG TRUCK STICKERS!
This is my son's FAVORITE! We used it as a potty training tool. Every time he sat on the potty, we would match a sticker to the right description. Great Stickers!

I ordered this for my nephew who is obsessed with trucks of all kinds. I got him several other toys for Christmas as well, but this is the item that he wouldn't put down!

I bought 3. my 6 yr. old & my 4 yr. old grandsons wanted a scene to put them on. Book had only stickers, I returned them.
Wouldn't buy again
This book is meant for older kids. A one and done book due to matching up the stickers with what they are.
Love this series of sticker books
Love this series of sticker books. Beautiful detailed realistic stickers ( not cartoony) that are both fun and educational. My grandson loves them!

My Great Nephew Loved it!
A nice book
It was a nice book and given as a gift.
Four year old loves it
I bought this for my 4 year old nephew who is into trucks. He was really excited when I gave it to him and had a lot of fun with it.

My 6-year-old nephew really enjoyed.

Great toddler entertainment
Love these sticker books. My 2 year old is endlessly entertained. It's like doing a puzzle, in that they have to find the sticker that fits the silhouette.
Very colorful
Very good great pictures and stickers

Not reusable!
These stickers are not reusable, they don't come up at all, even if I try to be very careful, they will rip. I only buy reusable stickers because I feel otherwise they are a waste of money to only use once and these were a big disappointment!

Was missing a page
only a few pages
Thought this book would be thicker. Perhaps in my last minute shopping frenzy I didn't read the fine print, but it is much thinner than the sticker books I have purchased in the past. I would guess less than 10 pages.

Love these...
Disappointing
Slightly disappointing by the thickness of it. I did not think it was very good value. It turns me against buying any similar books
Thanks
Thanks for the item really enjoy it and it is nice and of nice quality. Thank you for the good service.
great for the truck lover
these stickers are easy on and off so don's worry if your little one starts putting them on floors, walls, tables (or even your car interior). nice tear out sheets make it easy to give them some and not all. same trucks that are used throughout all the DK books.

My grandson just loves the stickers
Wonderful book!
It's really a fantastic book. Not only my little boy, but also my wife and I love this book! It's full of fun and knowledge. So, everyone who loves the DIY books can enjoy these series with your little boys and girls!
Great for keeping attention of toddlers and preschoolers!
Two year old grandson is fascinated by trucks. The sticker books keep him busy for up to an hour! A real focus of his attention! Most two year olds have an attention span of a fly, hopping from one thing to another. He likes stickers and this book is wonderful!

Very detailed stickers. I like that this is also a book with descriptions of the various trucks that you match up with the stickers.
Neat little book
It has pages in book for them to do as an activity
Educational
These books are loved by my grandchildren. They were entertained for quite some time and challenged by them also. I would recommend them to anyone who had children.
Sticker book
My grandson loves these books. His grandad spends hours sat doing them with him. He is only 2 and likes a challenge. Loves to find the correct place for each sticker. I bought the whole set.
Truck Stickers
My three year old grandson loved this and the stickers were a good size
